are there any mini-USB to 3.5mm adapters that incl MIC signal? - General Accessories

(UPDATED) Just skip to post #2 please. http://www.tracyandmatt.co.uk/blogs/index.php/2006/09/02/hermes_headphone_modding_service

2nd try: are there any mini-USB to 3.5mm adapters that incl MIC signal?
1. I have a T-Mobile WING
2. I want to use the Etymotic "hf2" headset with my WING. It's much higher quality than the HTC headset supplied with the WING.
3. But the "hf2" only has 3.5mm connector.
4. I'm looking for an adapter that carries the whole set of wire-connections, just like the HTC supplied headset.
This looks like the closest thing.

But so far I cannot find the adapter I need.
anyone here in the same boat?

I think that this:

Is exactly what you need.

wow, the beauty of XDA forums!
Thank you! That's a new HTC accessory ... they finally made it for the G1... but it looks like it should work for the WING.. Thank you so much!

or
find everything else for Wing here:

BB, thanks very much for the link to parts for WING. I had found each of those adapters a few months back. The issue was that none of those that you listed carried the mic signal from newer hi-fidelity earsets/ headsets combination headphones.
The 3-way that you showed allowed:
* sync
* charging
* listening to music
but it does not handle incoming audio from external mic.
The new item which was posted above, that HTC made for the G1 phone, is the first adapter to solve that problem.

[Q]Wildfire compatible Headphone with remote

Hi guys!
I broke my Wildfire's original headphone's cord so its controller and microphone won't work. So I decided to buy a headphone with microphone and volume, play/pause, prev/next song controller that is Wildfire and any other HTC device compatible. Do you guys know is there something like this?
If there not I can go with a controller accessory like:

(not with the headphone, only the controller)
Thanks in advance.

I only know of these:

I'm not thinking about the original one. More like Steelseries Siberia v2 iPhone (not sure it's compatible with WF) or smth like it.
Stock iPhone remote works partially with the Wildfire. The central button works (i.e. to play/pause songs), but the volume control doesn't.
(What I have stated above is tested by me a very long time back, so, it may not be 100% accurate. Unfortunately, my iPod Touch's headphone remote is now broken with excessive (ab)use, so it no longer works)

[Q] Which bluetooth headset do you use with your GNex?

I am currently using a Motorola H17txt. It worked great with my Droid X; however, with the GNex, I get what sounds like feedback (some squealing) in the earpiece that I didn't get when I used it with the Droid X. Prefer an A2DP one with an ear hook since I have yet to find one that's comfortable to wear without one. Thanks.
I use the motorola S305. Worked fine with my HTC Desire, but seems to drop connection with the GNex. Otherwise, sound quality is ok, very comfortable.
I use a Jawbone Icon, it works great.

Might have to get those for working out. Looking more for a mono A2DP one so I can listen to my Google Voice and text messages. Does anyone have the Motorola Elite Silver and Elite Flip? Those look pretty nice, but don't want to drop that much on something that might sound as bad on this phone as my H17txt do. Tried the Jawbone, but they hurt my ear too much. They never fit right, even with the earloop, so I can't utilize their technology and people on the other end have a hard time hearing me.

Earphones with Inline Controls

So here's the thing. The earphones that came with my S2 were pretty rubbish, and somehow stopped working after 3 days. So for a long time, i used in Apple In-Ear Earphones that i used with my old iPhone, and they worked great, despite not being designed for anything but Apple hardware. However, last December i lost one ear bud from my last set earbuds (i have now lost one in all three sizes).Normally, it wouldn't be a big deal, but the buds Apple requires are bigger than those used by any other headset, and thus can't be swapped for generic buds. The official replacement ear buds cost ₹1500/-, which is half the price of the headset, which itself was pretty expensive to begin with. I've made do wit some Panasonic earphones off late, but the problem is that it isn't a mobile headset, and thus lacks any kind of mic or buttons.
Could someone recommend me a good set of earphones that has inline controls (preferably with music controls, but it will do if it is compatible with the Headset Button Controller app)? I need one that i can buy from an online store in India, or in the worst case, a store that ships to India. I'm not an audiophile, and don't need, very good audio quality.
I got a an inline adaptor from ebay, has 3 buttons on and a mic, means I can use any headphones I want and it cost me less than a pint of beer. Struggled to find any good headphones with 3 button inline.

Car Sound Device

Is there any device that allow us to connect HTC One by bluetooth in the car ?
There are quite a lot actually. You just have to look around. It depends though. Obviously you'll need to have an aux input in your car stereo or just pick up a stereo with bluetooth. If you have an aux input, here's the official htc adapter, otherwise search on amazon/ebay for something similar.

HTC Stereoclip is damn good,about 50$ at MicroAge and Go Mobile (new Lebanese dealer)
If you don't have a 3.5mm jack in your car you can try this one it will transmit a FM signal but it also has a 3.5 jack too. This one looks like it has a lot more features and has over 3000 Amazon reviews at 4.5 stars.

Z-W88 Cost-effective MP3 Player Stereo Sports Bluetooth Headset Headphone

Three words that stand out in that title; Cost-effective, sports & bluetooth. All things that I really want for a curricular activity. This set is made to resist moisture such as sweat and rain. It is not a bad option to look into if you are in the market for a bluetooth headset.
The fit was actually one my main concerns. In the past I tried the Motorola set that looks like this set and it was terribly uncomfortable. At the time I was working for a lawn care/ landscaping company as a Crew Leader and needed to be able to answer the phone at any given moment to speak with supervisors and the owner of the company. Before I ventured into the wireless headsets, I well, obviously was using wired sets and ended up tearing up too many to keep up with. Long story short I got tired of paying for new headsets because the number one issue was the wire getting in the way.
When I got a bluetooth headset it was like salvation. I was free! There were no more wires to get in the way, it was easy to wear and I got to listen to music all day long. This is where this headset can come in handy.
Life has changed a bit and I am no longer working for that company, but I do like to go jogging and again the wire was annoying at times. I love not having to worry about a wire. I look forward to using this set for future runs.
