Would fix every bricked phone, but not possible says the creator POF.
So short : bricked CID locked phones only re-flashable with original rom!
I saw for the wizard there is a CID unlock tool (see Wizard forum) and for some devices even 'unbrick tools'. A pity that we cannot do anything more with our bricked CID locked P3300, but waiting for the P3300 original dutch rom.
I wonder if you can unlock phone with imei check when your phone is allready bricked? If any other 'unbrick' solutions, please let me know, but i don't hope for it anymore

I think that is the solution for some bricked phones after updates with locked CID.
Sorry but not possible, it first transfers patched SPL through activesync and places it on phone memory, and needs WinCE for that. If you already have a brick that tool will not help you. POF.

I'm new to this web site and am trying to reflash my Touch Pro 2 with the Win 6.5 version. It won't load as previously reported by others, with the fix being, using Hardspl(whatever that is). In trying to download the zipped version of Hardspl from this site, Norton Antivirus rejects it as being infected.
Any assistance here please?
We need more info about your phone, and what you have tried.
I don't know how much info you need but it is an unlocked Touch Pro 2 phone, ROM Version 1.19.401.0(51489), ROM Date 05/16/09, Protocol version 61.32t.25.26U, CPU QUALCOMM(R) 7200A, Model no. HTC Touch Pro 2 T7373.
I downloaded the Europe version of the update from this site RUU_Rhodium_S_HTC_Europe_1.86.401.0_Radio_Rhodium_4.49.25.17_Signed_Ship(2).exe and tried to reflash the phone, having achieved sync. An error message " ERROR(294) : INVALID VENDER ID" comes up, telling me that "This update utility cannot be used for your PDA phone."
I have subsequently seen on this site that a fix was to use Hardspl.
After searching on Xda, I found this download "Rhodium-HardSPL_V2_00R3_185HSPL.zip".
When I try to unzip it I get a message that it is blocked by Norton "Auto protect has detected Bloodhound.W32.EP"
So nothing can happen under these circumstances. What is this Hardspl and why is it necessary?
Would a hard reset help?
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

to say it as simple as possible:
your phone has ID, called CID
normal phones only allow ROMs with same CID
HardSPL allows any ROM, skips checking of th CID
positives: you can use ROMs for different parts of the world, debrand your device (not SIM unlock!) and also use unsigned ROM (ROMs that have been modified)
negatives: if you are stupid you can flash a ROM for completely different device and brick your phone, you should put it to previous state before any warranty repairs (to do this first flash original ROM and then remove HardSPL)
As stated in the first post of the Hard SPL and the "Noobs flashing guide" the virus is a false positive.
We were all noobs at one point or another, just take your time to read the stickies about how to flash your device, then upgrade to the 6.5 ROM (or any other custom TP2 ROM on this fourm).

It said please get the correct ROM Update too :sadly: i dont know how to solve the problem.

Can you please provide me with a link for a stock rom image of the verizon prepaid model because I have looked everywhere and cannot find it. I am running latest TWRP and bootloader is unlocked but also I will add that big country RUU is not flashing. I get an error 219, etc please help thank you
Also, when HTC sync attemps to repair my phone, it says that it cannot locate any software so that's out of the question.
Can you please tell me how you originally unlock the bootloader and install TWRP? Or provide a link to the instructions you followed?
