i know it sounds crazy but im thinking of selling my dash
i figured id post on here to see if anyone was interested.
body is in good shape, might have a minor ding somewhere. screen has a protector on it, one of the static ones. screen protector has a few minor scratches on it, but that can be removed lol. has rickys wm 6.1 rom on it, i think my sig has the version of the rom i got on there.
if your interested send me a pm. i can post pictures sometime if needed.
it is branded t mobile. i can have it unlocked if requested.
also i can put it on e bay if one of you guys really want it.
I'm actually looking forward to an upgrade as well...

honestly i just started a new job and i have been working a lot. so far this month two out of four weeks have been 40+ hours. i havent had a lot of time to text a lot or to surf the web a lot, especially at work, they dont like for us to even have our cell phones. so i want something a little more basic, and itll cut a few dollars off my bill.
My HTC S620 will be replaced next week as the iPhone has officially arrived in The Netherlands. I loved my S620 but it's time to move on.

here are some pics. the two of the bottom of the phone shows the dings the phone has, not very noticable from normal distance. then one of the keypad, cause its so nice lol. and one of the screen protector, its earned the money i paid for it.
Yep same with me. I need an upgrade but the Dash is one of the better phone in my opinion that are out there but I guess ill be leaving this forum because I have put my Dash on Ebay and have got bids so farewell!

Totally agree and it's not got alot of software available, no where near as tweaky, yes it has a touch screen but so does the Kaiser, that would be my choice if i had a chance of an upgrade and as NRG states it's a bit bah.

"F" the iphone. It is already out of date. Our Excaliburs whoop its ass. I like the idea of the Kaiser, if you just gotta have a touch, but the touch seems like a big waste, when you already have a superior phone NOW.

if you want a wing then go for it, good trade. but a wing is more bulky than the dash, and harder to access the keypad cause it is hidden.
i thought about getting a wing, had a mda abd it got too bulky for me, so i got the dash and i have loved it since. now im gonna sell it and try to cut back on my bill
I still don't know how you are gonna cut $$$$ off your bill since your dash still can do everything any other cell can.
Saving $$$$ can be done through your plan and whatever extras you have through your provider.

oh by cut money off i ment take off unlimited text and the internet from my plan. the dash just temps me to use thoes with the full keyboard and large screen, its hard to resist.

I loved my Dash. I loved my Treo 650. Both are history know. No hard feelings. I saw the sinking ship named Palm and I see one sinking again. It's too little, too late. Microsoft arrogance or incompetence I don't know, maybe both.
I like this forum a lot. Thanks Kavana again for the great superior ROM.

I will ship it anywhere for $150. It's a Taiwan build HTC S620 + 2GB card. Screenprotector from day 1 but the 'silver' striping around the case is now black on several places. Plastic USB cover is missing since last month (perfect!). It will be off duty as soon as I can obtain the iPhone 3G. hope I can get one on Friday. The Netherlands has a 100% full speed 3G coverage .

I ordered my G1 today...so far I've been relatively impressed (though i hate the graphics for the UI...too google like - duh!) I saw a bunch of hands on videos...looks impressive. I'm mad I have to wait until the 22nd of October though.
Also wish they went with a more...sexy Hardware design.
ordering today...rock that until the touch hd comes around on tmobile 3g or winmo 7 comes around in 2023.

2nd, the flow of the software and the usability of it seem great. Just too bad the whole thing looks looks like it was put together by a bunch of people who wouldn't know what design was if a design school fell down and hit them in the head.

the g1 looks like a softcover book.. i'm not impressed....

Since we saw a couple of weeks ago htc's '09 roadmap, I've been waiting to find more info on the HTC S511 'Cedar', and it looks they are finally here.
PDAdb.net just added the (incomplete) specs for the device.
Can't wait for it to be released, and I'm hoping that some local carrier gets it ASAP.

There's no info yet on the battery or weight, whatsoever, but if the stock battery doesn't get me throught the day I won't mind changing for a high capacity one as long as its form factor is similar to the dash one.
Looks good, i hope its in black or atleast a black shell is availbe.
I really really wished they atleast added a 2.5mm audio output... itd be nice to be able to charge it while listening to music...

ah, cool. must've missed it. if it has 3g & comes to t-mobile by the end of this year, i'll probably get it. i bought an ipod touch recently & love it but realized i could not use a touch keyboard like that for emailing/messaging. it's so annoying.

That site indicates the S620 has IR. Pretty sure that's incorrect.
The fuzzy image of the Cedar reminds me of the Palm Centro. Except the Centro of course has a touch screen.
Glad to see a replacement, but I have personally outgrown WindowsMobile Standard. It's almost time for me to move on to a touchscreen or a Blackberry.

News floating on the net says different , HTC S511 Cedar isn't the new dash. The new HTC Maple/3G Excalibur is said to be the successor of the dash/excalibur.

My fault... Seeing the specs it looked like the straight replacement for the dash, but I should have noticed it's a S5xx series, and I suppose dash replacement will be S6xx, or something of the sorts.
Anyway, specs-wise looks good.

I think if you really want a behold, get one when you can afford to buy it, and keep the dash, you won't regret it. I got a htc Tilt now and wouldn't think of getting rid of my dash, ever since I bought it , it has had a case, screen protector, it's been over a year, never seen the floor, and it still looks brand new. I still think that the dash is a bada$$ phone.

You are right.I do love my Dash.It`s badass looking thanks to Ooka and everyone here who helped me.I just thought a Behold would be an upgrade,a step up.......but, i`m keeping my Dash.

As rolo said, when you got some extra $, buy another device and do the upgrade but keep your Excalibur!
the only downfall of the dash is the camera (wish you could upgrade it somehow LOL), but i know its an old phone.
i love the dash's simplicity yet being able to do everything.

Just gonna echo other users i use Tilt as main device yet sat next to me on the trusty computer table is teh Dash still looking the same as it did when turned up oh except the OS.

I just "upgraded" from the regular dash to the "Black" dash (I really just purchased a black dash from ebay and swapped the case with my dash so I wouldn't have to reinstall and setup everything all over again).
I have to say, the "black" dash just looks so much more hi-tech then my original "steel" faceplate one

that is so FAIL... the chrome faceplate is 100x better. and really... i think it'd be easier to reflash and install than swap cases. I'm guessing you don't save everything on a sim card and backup your registry. you should try it... really...
just get a mytouch 3g with the promo code. 99 bucks that means you got 51 for a nice case and a large pizza for dinner

Im waiting for the release of the motorola cliq next month. Its android, nice keyboard with no chin, and the touchscreen supports multiple touch (unlike g1).

Multi-touch is enabled by the OS, not the hardware. The new version of Android that will be on the Cliq will also be available for the G1 and MyTouch. Word is that multi-touch is already built into Cupcake it is just turned off by default.

The g1 has an older screen that althought it does work, it doesnt work say as good as the my touch.
But the mytouch doesnt have a keybaord.

Multi touch works just as good on my g1 as it does mytouch. the cliq is going to be running donut most likely instead of cupcake but cyanogen's mod has close to a third of the donut's tree already working and it won't be long till we see a prerelease of donut on the g1 and mytouch like we've seen 6.5 here on the excalibur forum. And the mytouch is fail from a lack of keyboard. The only decent way to type is to turn if sideways and the keyboard still doesn't stand up the samsungs memoir and beholds. I swear if those phones had android id call the g1 a fluke in a heartbeat
