[HTC 8525 + WM6] Bluetooth keeps disconnecting

Hello!
I do not know if someone has the same issue. I upgraded the WM6 to my HTC 8525 and bluetooth just keeps disconnecting all the time. It happened without any reason at all. I am using "Plantronics 510". The headset is fine, just phone switches the bluetooth off and I need to go to settings to switch it back on. I saw some people have a problem with car-enabled bluetooth. Not sure if it is the same problem.
Any advice? Does someone get the same problem? Any patch or solution?

which WM6 ROM are you using?

I had this problem with my Audi A4 car phone. The ROM versions using build Build 17745.0.2.3 were not good for that. Now, I'm using the Black Majik ROM and that works like a dream for the BT connections.

i started having the same problems but i noticed it after i installed the voice command.. the rom that i use is the gm360 gold. the problem ive got was whenever i was in a phone call using my blutooth and i received a text message it would deactivate my headset. if ur having somewhat of the same problem try disabling ur voice command software...

Multiple AT&T/HTC WM6 ROMs?
My 8525 with the WM6 ROM can no longer route the audio to the BT headset (a Moto HS850 - but this is irrelevant, I suspect).
Basic BT headset usage was fine with WM5 (excepting the known issues with VoiceCommand).
I thought that perhaps the issue was related to the various little registry tweaks and sw patches. However, I had to do a reflash (for other reasons) and currently have just the default WM6, no registry tweaks, no BT sw patches, and MS VoiceCommand 1.6 installed (but set to NOT use the BT headset).
Pairing works fine. So does activation recognition (i.e. the little headset appears in the notification area when I open the boom on the headset and I can hear the background establishment of the BT channel). But audio (dialing tones and Connected call audio) do not reach the headset. The audio also doesn't go to the phone's speaker.
So, are the official ROM updates that repair this? Or, is the cost of going to WM6 the abandonment of BT headsets?
By the way, VoiceCommand 1.6 works fine--if I tell it to stay away from the BT headset.

Pays WM6 Roms
I had the same BT disconnecting problems with my original german Vodafone WM5 and also still have them with Pays WM6 ROMs (2.02 - 2.15) in my Audi A6 MMI.
With the original german HTC WM6 ROM BT worked very well.
Everything else on Pays ROMs is really great. He´s doing great jobs.
Any idea?

I have the same problem with my 8525 and I use plantronics 520. It did the same thing even with other headset too, and also happens in WM5.0, 6.0 and 6.1.
I am tending to believe its a hardware issue, but dont know how to prove it!

Come On, experts on the XDA portal, no solution?? noooo way!!??

My friend had the same issue with an tytn2 and last schap's rom in french language.
After an hard reset i get BT work fine with his OPEL.
But before i made lot of test desinstalling soft check registery key with no result. I still do know why BT was disconecting woth no reason.

Audi Bluetooth hands free
I had the same problems in wm6 with some roms.
I use the official HTC TyTn wm6 with excelents results, also Schaps 4.31 work very good (No disconection at all).
Now I am using Pay WWE 4.30 with many disconections.
BTW I have the audi TT bluetooth option.

On my 8525 Hermes I use the latest Pays Rom and it was disconnecting all the time (Parrot BT) - BUT then I decided to TURN OFF THE WAN and it improved greatly. Other thing I noticed is that the Hermes has to be in DIRECT LINE OF SITE of the BT device at all times or it is erratic.

It seems there are differences in the WM6 versions. As said earlier in this thread for me original HTC and Schaps WM6 ROM versions are running without any BT disconnections.
Tried several WM6.1 versions now and every single one is working fine with my Audi MMI.

Similar problems handing BT control between applications
Hi all, I've been experiencing similar problems since changing ROMs. Originally with Schaps 3.60a I was able to make a call whilst listening to music all using my BT headphones. The Call would pause the music & resume afterward. It worked great! However since changing to Schaps 4.0, 4.2 & now CRC's PHKv12r9, I've never had the same. On a couple of rare occasions it has all worked fine but more often the bluetooth has to be turned off & back on again to reconnect. it seems to relate to what other programs are also running. I suspect there must be registry settings which control the bluetooth operational modes which are brought into play by the various programs running.

Different Bluetooth Stack?

I've been struggling for several months now to get my MDAC III working with my built-in car Bluetooth hands-free. The full details are below, but in short, I'm told that the system seems to work OK with Wizard, and I'm wondering what about the Wizard could be different to the Artemis (Bluetooth stack perhaps?), and if there is a difference, is there anything I can do about it?
The full issue: The system I'm trying to connect with is in a Land Rover Freelander 2 (LR2 in the US) Initial pairing was a bit hit and miss, but now I've got the the phone paired with the PTI, that's not a problem and they automatically pair whenever I start the car.
I can succesfully initiate or answer a call from the car, but the call itself isn't routed through the car's speakers/mic, it just goes through the phone as normal. However, once in a call if I select the "privacy" option on the PTI (which would normally have the effect I've already got of passing the call to the phone), and then select the "hands free" option, it does what it should and routes the call through the car. Effectively, it's as if the system starts in "privacy" mode rather than "hands free". Once I've done this once, subsequent calls work fine, routing straight through the car, but only until the ignition's turned off. The next time I start the car up I'm still paired, but calls go through the phone again.
If anyone's got any suggestions, I'd really appreciate them.

Thanks, did try that but didn't seem to help, it seemed to be more geared towards additional functions like phonebook syncing rather than just getting a working connection in the first place. Maybe I'll give it another go.

if i want to use my bt car kit, i'm forced to validate hands free option at every phone call...
I think it's btaudiotoggle the cause of mly problem, he is included in the aje rom...
you think it's possible ?

I fixed the problem I have with car kit of OPEL ANTARA using the software you said. It works disable sending Phonebooks.

I am having a similar problem with Wizard Mobile 6 cooked ROM. Before with the official O2 ROM on my Xda Mini S, it worked fine. The car would automatically recognise the phone whenever in proximity, and all calls would go through the speaker.
Now, I have to press the car kit's button (Nokia Bluetooth) each time I get in the car, to tell it to search for devices - i.e. the phone doesn't automatically announce its presence.
So, is there a different Bluetooth Stack we can try?

My Orbit works fine with my Nokia CK-7W using a B&B ROM.

When you get in the car, do you have to do anything, or does the car kit automatically detect the phone? Mine doesn't since getting the Wizard Mobile 6 cooked ROM.
Do you know what Bluetooth Stack you use, and if I can download it anywhere for the Wizard?

No, just switch on the ignition key and away it goes. Also if the car kit is set as the default hands free if the phone rings it should try to connect to the car kit.
The radio I am using is 2.95.90 I have no idea what bluetooth stack it is, Tom Codin cooked the ROM, he will know.

Okay thanks. Does anyone know if the BT Stack is part of the Radio ROM? If so I'll just try a different Radio ROM.

Bluetooth - Handsfree Devices!

Hello xda community!
I have a huge problem with my Hermes using Shaps Roms (latest), besides I tried all of the roms till now, and bluetooth devices!
I tried 3 devices till now:
Parrot 3200
Audi UHV
and a Sennheiser VMX 100 ear- handsfree
so first I had problems with the Audi to get a stable BT transmission without disconnect which is solved due to a rom change!
Now the problem is with picking up, or dialing.
For example BT -> Audi UHV connected!
Using phonebook to dial a number -> dialing ... it displays in the Audi -> Dialing.. and when the connection is established its shoud says connected like in phone but sometimes just shows "Hanging up.." -> while the Hermes display says connected!
And I am definitly connected to the person but I cant hear anything not on the phone or the BT Kit!
This is extremly anoying -> and not only withe the Audi, even the simple Sennheiser earphone there is exactly the same problem! or the Parrot!
The phone is not able to send correct "commands" Pick UP -> Connected -> Disconnected. I mean THIS IS A HORROR!
Its not a permanent error but it it shows quite often (6 tomes out of 10 calls) up it does it again and again till sofot reset!
Please someone help me !!!!!
PS i also tried Jetware Mobile same problem no difference ....

Out of interest, try my ROM and see if this works. I use bluetooth dialing on a car kit and it works fine for me...

Is this problem typical or known or just affects me?

Not to sure - although I install a certain version of the BT kit that may affect your issue. I don't know if it will fix it, however I would be interested to see your results.

I have used a number of Schaps ROMS and others, and I have never had a problem making or receiving calls through my car kit (a Ford).
Having said that, I have had probelms getting the car kit to access my contacts on most of them, but Schaps latest ROM worked 'straight out of the box' in every respect.

interesting.. so if you dial a number the tytn sends to your ford the correct status of the calling process ?
start - call - stop ?
never had such issue:
Ford: start - stop
Hermes: start - call ...
silence on both ?

First results:
15 minutes it works like a charm - no phonebook entries just the plain rom.
now I ll snyc with outlook and start another test!
* Stange thing is that the Audi UHV found my phonebook entries although i dind´t snyced them. Sim is empy ...
can there be something in extended rom ?

Sounds like it uses BT SAP to access the contacts on the phone. I haven't built the ROM with that in it - as I haven't until now come up with a device that actually uses SAP!
Maybe try doing a search to see if you can find a cab for BT SAP and see if that helps?

First of all thanks for all the replies!!
The Audi UHV is capable to use rSAP, but I have no idea what it does and what it´s good for.
What is the difference between SAP and HFP ? I have nothing on the sim card.

Now you're getting a bit beyond my knowledge as I don't have any of these systems to test or experiment with

I have had the same problems with multiple ROMs.
Trying to link a Garmin GPS, and other Hands Free devices.
Seems like a Hermes thing rather than the ROMs.

Try deleting the BT device from the Hermes, but not the device. Re-sync from the device.
Not sure if that will help, but I had weird BT problems with the 4.30 rom and that fixed it. No problems at all with the 4.31 though.

I will start some testing today and report back tonight!
Maybe it was the rsap being enabled in Shaps roms .... we will see!
The question is, should I install Jetware Mobile or not ?
It seems to be faster in syncing if I have it installed.
So far I tested it yesterday for half an hour and it worked!

TP2 Bluetooth / JVC Car Kit trouble

I currently have a Diamond and TP2 with stock ROM's.
Diamond worked perfect with carkit untill i performed major ROM upgrade from htc.com. now it will connect and not reconnect on either device or carkit restart.
My TP2 behaves EXACTLY the same - connects and drops after either restarting. when connected it works fine - voice/dialing etc etc.
My car kit is a JVC KS-BTA200 connected to my KW-AVX810 head unit.
i've read all comments on google/xda's etc - well almost all! to no avail.
the devices are all set to visible obviously and all paired. ive read that a registry edit possibly fixes the issue but my TP2 & Diamond dont have the required reg strings. (that i can find!!)
i have the remote registry tool installed on my Desktop - so im ready to make changes!
please, if anyone can help i will very grateful!!

Hi, I am using my Touch Pro 2 with the same HU and Bluetooth adaptor as you but no such problem so far.
It used to have this problem then I try to connect using Window CE as the phone setup and choose another Connection Key instead of default 0000 to pair the phone with the HU.

ok, well i just tried connecting via searching for the device from the HU. it finds my device - i tap enter (to connect on HU) then it just jumps to a blue flashing 'connecting' then goes to a yellow 'error' straight away. if i select 'open' on the HU then it connects (connecting with a different ID - a number '6') but only untill i restart the HU.
also as a test i just tried an Xperia (just had one laying around LOL) and it does the exact same as mine!! ARRRRGHHH!
so im glad to say i believe it is not an HTC issue!

ok so i have an update - the problem is my HU will not pair correctly and it will not store a pairing. great.

another quick one - have found others are having trouble with their HU/adapters. thanks anyway everyone!

TP2 Bluetooth and voice dialing working fine ???

Have you tried to reset your carkit? I had the same problem after the rom-update with my TP1 and I put my carkit (Bury CC9060) back to factory settings. So I did the same this morning after I updated my TP2 and now it works just like a charm. Of course I don't know if your carkit has this possibility. Good luck, greetz Ton

'iznogoooog' - yes it work perfectly until you restart either device - 'ton66' - unfortunatley a reset is pretty much all i can do!!! eeeeek!
hopefully a reset will fix it! - i did unplug my b/tooth adapter then switch the unit on - then off then plug it back in.. didnt change anything.. oh well! will do complete re-set 2day!

Got a questions. I am using the AVX-826 with build in Bluetooh. I want to know if you guys get the Signal Strength show on your Head unit is correct. on my unit pair with TP2. The Signal Strength indicator doesn't move. it always show the strength with my phone is connected to the unit and it stay that way.
The Battery Strength indicator does work and show the correct battery level.

I have a AXV800 and a BTA200.
My first device was a Artemis with WM6.0. No problem so far!
Then I changend to a Diamond with WM 6.1 and had the same problem as mentioned before. Now I tried my new TP2 and still the same problem.
And I tried the old Artemis again with a new 6.1 ROM and the same problem as on the other two phones.
Now I think it depends on the WM build. 6.0 seems to work 6.1 not!!!!!!!!!!
I did a reset on my AVX800 two times without luck!
I think I'm going to use a normal phone without Windows mobile for the next test!

Radio problem

I have wm6 CE OS 5.2.1938 Build 18538.0.7.0 PV from pdaviet, radio version 1.13 and I have a radio issue: I cannot start wifi and BT in the same time from connection manager. If I want to start wi-fi for example - I have to start it from wlan settings/turn on wlan. If then I go in manager to start BT, it won't start, only shows the round thing for waiting but notthing happens, the BT doesn't start.
If I want to start BT, I have to tap BT in manager and when I see the round thing for waiting, I give a restart and it restarts with BT on and the BT works but than there is no way to start wifi.
Any ideeas? This is quite anoing....pls help

the issue with switching on wi-fi is widely known and happens to all of us.
the bluetooth issue is something else.
maybe you messed something up. you could try a hard reset. in case, that problem first appeared after you flashed the pdaviet rom, you could try another rom and/or radio rom from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=630416

After some searching I saw that BT is linked with run_bttray process wich I dont find in start up, neither in windows dirrectory. My radio version is 1.13 on wm6. Where should I check to see if bttray is present? How can I start it? Can you provide an aplication wich I can run to control BT?

Switch to a newer rom. I believe that this BT issue was present in older versions of WM.

i have the same problem.
But I know that it's software related.
People always tell me, they can't hear me well, and that parts of words are suppressed.
I tried with AGC ON and OFF and tried the impact on the voice recorder.
The voice recorder is influenced by the settings and I could hear a clearly distinguishable difference.
Loud and clear record with AGC on. Damp, attenuated record with AGC off.
The problem is, that the AGC settings seem not to influence the microphone level of the phone-calls.
Is there a solution?
I use WM 6,5,21888 German made by D-Two
