Program that can block incoming calls and sms for specified numbers (Like a banlist) - HTC Excalibur

Is there any program that can block incoming calls and sms for specified numbers (Like a banlist) on the s620 ?
I was thinking about that, let say you got a person you don't really like and is annoying ... you block him !
I've been googling a bit and havent find nothing concrete =/
At the same time i wanna ask, is there any program that can time my phone call time i passed between my paying hours and my free hours ?
=)

Call Block v1.xx
Call Firewall v1.x
MagiCall v1.2.xxx
Call SMS Blocker 2.3.xx
Smartblock 1.x
one google search produced those 5
for the other thing..im too lazy to even look

lol, Gixxum is right, google works wonders but here is the url for Call Firewall which is the one I presently use, the only thing you need to do is add a 1-2 delay to your ringtone and you'll be golden, basically whatever ringtone you have go and download an application called Audacity and with this app you can manipulate mp3 and other music formats and then add a 1-2 second delay to your selected ringtone and you'll be golden, Call Firewall works amazing and reliably

Uptime application for Dash?

I've found a few for the PPC world, but nothing that appears to work with the Smartphone. Is it possible or has anyone even tried? Being that this is WM6.x, reboots are needed. I'd like to see how long I can go, on average, between reboots/soft resets. If only windows was as stable as say...even Linux. *sigh*
i been on a lot of reboots and its stil sure to work jus fine.. but not every program needs a reboot
i see u from ga, represent.. i live there to buford..
I think people in metro-Atlanta more accurately say they "stay" somewhere rather than "live" somewhere.

No, I mean an uptime program (not an uptime for applications) that will tell me how long my Dash, as a whole, has been up.

Interesting there must be an app somewhere to do this?
The other altenative is to run a stopwatch @ Bootup but that's inconvenient.

If you can find one, I'd be interested in using it. I have searched and couldn't come up with anything. They have it for the PPC, but that's it. Nothing for WM5/6 that I could find.

Wow, this thread took a turn for the worst. Can we get back on topic and let's see if we can dig up an app...
So you want this app because your phone messes up and causes you to have to soft reset and you want to know how long it goes without messing up? Thats what it sounded like in your first post. If thats the case, maybe instead of this app you should figure out which app is causing you problems. I've never had to reset because of windows mobile software, its always because of some app i installed(usually something I'm testing, lol).
i apologize for my stupid remark im srry to everbody.
i realize its for ppc...but i threw this onto my storage card...ran it (doesnt need to be installed) and it shows my uptime. its a half ass work around for something that i dont think exists.. take it for what its worth

Spy Cam app for win mo???...

Hi to all devs and fellow XDA members i would like to request all the developers to make a app to activate camera without other person knowing it... with following functionality...
1) fake call , so that you can take your mobile out.
2) start camera without any shutter sound or flash with the answering of fake call
3) Turn display off or show lockscreen( wallpaper) while recording... (recording in background for video mode)...
there is somewhat a similar app for android.. link here
I know how to initiate the camera, and potentially how to make it start recording without user interface...and how to make it hide in the background thereafter....I dont know how to make a fake call tho....
Question tho: How would recording while the person's head is on the phone help? Just wondering
He wants it to look like he's received a call, but he's actually started video recording people around him.
Sounds like a rather unusual request to me. Out of all the reasons I can think of for wanting this application, most of them are seedy or illegal. Maybe that's just my mind

Well it's good that you think it that way... where i work there are lots people who are mostly blugging and talking against someons back. with this app i would be able to get the evidence of what is going around. I think that is not illegal
Get 'baby monitor' set a number, leave your phone somewhere hidden, when noise is heard it rings the designated number. You can hear everything on the other side of that phone. Best option for now.....
Nice idea though, this app would be awesome!

It depends what you're going to do with the recording.
while your intentions must be good, however you do understand such app would be an invasion of privacy as well as considered illegal.
i wonder someone will make such app public.
best way to get it going would be to learn software skills and make you own.
remember dont make it public.
Remember, Guardian use it for looking activities of his teens. An employer would find it useful to determine if a phone is being used to make personal calls at the expense of the company.

Actually if it is a recording made in a public place it is legal and no consent is needed. What you do with it (or more a case of what you use it for) after words is the key to legal issues. At least in Canada.

Google Voice voicemails in Phone app

During the Nexus/ICS unveiling in Hong Kong it was mentioned that while using Google Voice, all voicemails would be shown in the Phone app (alongside missed and recent calls).
They made note of a new API that allows all voicemail services to "plug in" to this functionality.
Have they not enabled this yet for the Google Voice app? I can receive voicemails through the GV app, but they do not show in the Phone app.
Maybe it's something wrong with my setup?

wow. that look awesome! I would love to have that. The google voice app is not very pretty/user friendly. This method is much more elegant.
Yeah, the GV stuff really could stand to be more fully integrated with the OS. For example, wouldn't it be SWEET to receive SMS via GV and then have an option to just send those messages to the default SMS application on your phone? At the moment, there isn't really any good/friendly way for 3rd party apps to interact with the GVApp. +1 for more GV OS integration!

True, but all replies to the original incoming SMS will be sent from the cell number and not the Google Voice number.
From what I understand the ability to integrate voicemail into the phone app exists in ICS already but the carriers or an app has to write code to make it happen. So yes if google chose they should be able to use the API they wrote into ICS for GV and integrate it...I for one hope they do, having to go to GV for voicemail suks.

Q

Everyone in the S3 section is awesome and helpful, I found that out last night!
I have another question, hopefully it is an easy one. I just don't know exactly how to go about doing this.
Basically I use a program on the S3, that records everything except call recording. The Rom that is on the phone has a built in call recorder. When the program logs a call for XX minutes or however long whenever I try and listen its all just static. I assume I just need to figure out what I need to delete in the Rom for my program to be able to use it.
I use "Mspy". It has a dashboard via web that records everything on the target phone, except when the Rom interferes with it.
Phone is rooted with stock rom 4.1.2, twrp.
Any help is much appreciated. I'll give a thanks.
The S3 has that problem call recording apps don't work. There is one app but it costs money, there was also a modded hack which allowed for call recording to work. There is information on this in the OP of The People's ROM and there's a thread here somewhere on the modded hack. I am at work so I can't really search to link you right now. Hopefully someone else can help you a little further.

Here's the link to the call recording mod. It works great except for having to manually press the record button on the phone pad to record outgoing calls. Incoming calls can be set to record automatically in the phone app settings.

Well dang that sucks! I'm paying $50/Mo for Myspy. It picks up installed apps, texts, calls, locations, FB, record surroundings whenever I set a command to do so. My program I use does automatically record the calls even though its just static, when I listen to them you can actually hear the phones ringer and the surroundings like a Tv or the radio until they hit answer then it goes all static. I don't care if I have to pay money to record calls, even if there was a app that ran in the background that would put the records in a folder via the internal memory then I could export to my SD card. It's just crazy!

Oh and I wish there way a way to tell what websites have been gone too from incognito, or a keylogger (which is against XDA rules) I know.
Have you solved this issue? I was looking into Mspy for an international S3, when you thread came up and made me think twice...

I have NOT solved this issue. Not sure if it is the program I use or not.
I have the same situation, paying for mspy app (mspy.com) works great in one phone, but in the Galaxy S3 - works everything (Keylogger, record sourroundings, msgs, call logs) -
But when a call goes in or out (I can hear the sourrroundings) but when the call is answered I can only hear a loud and nasty static..
HOW CAN WE RESOLVE THIS ISSUE??

Thank you for bringing this back to my attention. I have since then moved her phone from the S3 to the Note 2 and it is still an issue. Assuming it would be the same problem on my Note 3. Obviously it is "Mspy" the program itself. I mean, don't get me wrong the program is amazing and does what it says it is supposed to do un other than the fact it is missing one huge implementation which was one of the major factors I purchased this program.

"Mspy" is NOT in the Playstore. Very expensive program you get from the website. Have tried getting in contact with them, I always get a, "we're currently trying to solve this issue" key word "trying". After this length of time, wouldn't they have fixed it by now if they cared?
So, basically unless someone can find a fix, then we're screwed! Thanks for the input guys, I've laid Mspy to rest.

I hate how the m7 and m9 force you to answer with a full screen when aosp and even gs6 have that style in image
You can press dismiss to get rid of it, or answer will talk to the person who has graciously taken the time to call you.
People might forget that these devices are infact phones.
Lastly, you appear to have put a Batman pic for Bruce Wayne, such rumours are sure to get Gothamites talking.
OK, I might be totally wrong here, but I believe everyone has totally missed what PunishedSnake was asking about. The picture he posted is an example of what he wants, not what he wants to get rid of.
HTC uses a full screen to alert on incoming calls, and Android Lollipop uses a heads up notification or interruption.
I believe PunishedSnake is asking how to enable the heads up notification for incoming calls and disable HTC's full screen incoming call.
There is supposed to be an option to do this on ViperOne, but I haven't successfully got it to work, so other than that, regretfully, I am of no help.
