Okay Guys... I know I am going to get canned but ~
I've done a search and can not find anything particular with the Blackstone and this problem.
I've installed Pocket Informant and would noe like to configure TouchFlo to recognise Pocket Informant as the default Calendar application instead of the Windows Mobile Calendar App.
Although you can add items in PI and they will show up on the TouchFlo Home Page, if you then click on that item it opens Calendar but there's no appointment ~ because obviously it was compiled on PI.
So... how do I reconfigure the Home Page to accept PI?

Using is simple:
-> Start application
-> Click 'Init' (The Application will now check which patches are available, and make a security backup if your manila. This can take some secoonds)
-> Choose the file you want to change, tick 'Patch' and enter your prefered file. Click on Save.
-> Change to the next Tab and click on 'Deploy' (this can take some minutes)
Only thing i did extra: make a shortcut of PI to the root of you're storagecard to find the file easier.
I have always used it on my diamond with succes.

I had a read at ALL those pages (31 of them).
There were some horror stories from differing users with differing problems associated with PI.
I've not had a chance yet to try it out (hopefully this evening when I'm off work).
I have this nagging feeling though that when an appointment flashes up on my Home Page and I click on it PI doesn't jump to that particular appointment.
(I read of someone who had this error).
Damn....
All I'm getting is "The Destination File is not Valid".

Hello trying to follow the above instructions but I cannot find the location of the shortcuts for PI nor how to make a copy of this to my storage card.

The problem may be solved for you but not for me the topic poster......
Mods don't lock the topic I have yet to sort this out on the Blackstone.
I had the same error it was a slash error in my path you need to use / not \ and end your path like this: /Program Files/whatever/wathever/ don't forget the last one. Hope it helps you

Yes, I eventually found using SSMaPa how to get PI to operate from the Main Page.
N'da pointed out to me I needed a final '/' at the end of the address field.
The reason the topic continued after my reply to N'da was regificus mentioned another method and I was simply replying back it looked quite difficult.
BTW... The flowers have now wilted.

Andrew, I'm sure the extensions above can't be "INK"! The extension ".lnk" is an abbreviation for "link", or a shortcut, to another program (an .exe in this case) or something else.
Try replacing "ink" with "lnk" (that is "LNK" if capitalized) and see if it works. I'm interested in this as well, just need to find some time to play around. Hopefully today.

If you copied your backup pim.vol from previous version of WM2k5 like AKU 2.3 or previous, it seems there is an incompatibility. The only thing you can do is following what was said here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=279925

but I've juste upgraded my rom to the AKU 3.2, and I didn't copy my backup "pim.vol" (I don't know what it is !!!! but i didn't import anythings from my previous configuration).
All I want to do is: open the contacts program that's all!

This file is in the root (\pim.vol). If you have Resco Explorer, just click on my device, and you should see the files that are in the root. One of them is pim.vol. The file you have is maybe corrupt, so just rename it and do a soft reset. The pim.vol (contacts db) will be recreated by the contacts application. Normally you would be able to open the application without any problem so!

I'm currently modifying my ext.rom to install and configure every app I use, but also to configure windows itself. I managed to find a workaround for almost every issue I got, but I'm still stuck with one thing ^_^
Does anyone know a cmd-line tool to delete/move some files ?
So as I can include a batch in my extended rom installation, as I want my start menu re-organised.

I know copy and execute exe's but not delete or move, perhaps you could (if you program at all) write a very basic ppc app to move/delete the files and run that with extrom installation
I'm kind of a developper, but never tried myself to ppc world ^^
And.... I unfortunately miss time right now to learn that, so I would rather find a nice little .exe to do that for me

I have encountered another problem. I made the ervius package and had the initflashes.txt. I did everything but when I start the phone, the only shortcut I can find is in the startmenu -> Programs and thats one of the places where I wanted it,but, I also want it in the startmenu and its not coming there. I think its not working because u can only put 7 items and I dont know how to remove one item and plug in my software shortcut..

This is exactly what was missing for me with CHome ... and I had been trying very hard to do this with the launcher panel in TitanWeather but with little success.
Quick word of warning to other users though -> Edit the Provisioning XML before you go and import it!
(lol, at least read the thing before you import it and then come one here posting complaints )
In it's current state it is a great example of how to customise your "Programs" panel but I imagine most people are going to prefer to keep "Contacts" as their SK1 key (whereas this xml will change that to be Calculator ... on every panel)

I have been setting up the Programs panel, and I am trying to work out 2 things:
- What is the "ADC" page for? (i.e. why "ADC", not "page10"? can I just use any name? etc)
- Why is my "Page2" page no showing up?
I noticed that in the registry all of the other (visible) pages have two things under their reg entry:

Actually, nevermind about "Page2", I just fixed that by manually creating the GUID and PICTURES keys myself (GUID is the same for all of them and I just gave it the PICTURES value of 2502).
Still curious what the deal is with "ADC" ...
Also trying to find if there is a way to set specific icon pics for each Page (instead that default one from the original WelcomeCenter pages).

After i import it once (the mxip_WWE_CHome_Programs file), i've made changes to the file (like switching some of the programs and the text that appears) and wanted to import the file a second time, but it gave me some error about the NETCFv35 (something like it had an error message avaiable for this exception but it was not possible to show).
My question is: How can i import the file, every time i make a change?

I found that you can keep importing the provxml into AdvancedConfig over and over (whenever you make changes). No problems.

Do you know if there is a way to have also the tasks showing on the main screen of Chome or at least in your programs link of chome. I've tried 'poutlook tasks' in your xml file but without result. Any ideas ?

Did you soft/hard reseted?

Hi there!
I'm a beginner cooker and need some help with few things that I can't solve with myself
My ROM is based on WM6.5 build 61222 in Ervius Kitchen 8.0
1. Copying the files in File Explorer doesn't work... First I tap on specific file, then I select "copy", then I want to specific the path in the top left corner, f.g. from IS to maim memory and then it crashes...I don't know what to do
2. Opera9.exe and AlbumSearcher.exe are active all the time in Processes list in dotTask Manager. I have to kill them but after SR they appear again. Isn't it something wrong?
3. After every SR calendar and contacts are poping up... how can I solve it?
4. I want to set the softkeys (I'm not using Manila or Titanium) so I made registry key, but I don't know what is the .exe name for contacts? For sure it's not poutlook.exe because it gives no reaction. So what .exe should I put into the registry file?

2: there's a registry entry you need to add for opera to exit on closing; google for this one
3: check your init/and-or startup
4: it's actually a link in rai; poutlook -contacts

1. Total Commander is an alternative program but I want to fix the problem with builded-in File Explorer. I want my ROM to be free of bugs as much as it's possible.
2. It's not problem with closeing because opera9.exe is there at the beginning, after every SR even if I didn't run it.
