Haha they could use my sig to go to the t-mobile site and have their connections setup... it takes literally like 5 minutes to do... and it is step by step instructions...
And for all you the link is called "T-MOBILE FIX ANY MMS ISSUES (SENDING OR RECEIVING), FIX INTERNET PROBLEMS, E-MAIL, ETC. CLICK HERE"

cant someone just make a T-MOBILE FIX ANY MMS ISSUES (SENDING OR RECEIVING), FIX INTERNET PROBLEMS, E-MAIL, ETC. CLICK HERE.cab

But i'm using NRGZ's Lite ROM and it does not have connection setup.cab and it doesn't have what your guide ask for. I don't have advanced at the GPRS step.

T-mobile fix any mms issues (sending or receiving)
Could it be that because i'm using Ricky & Stylez Rose rom V1.7 ? Because I reset my phone last night and redid everything(again),then sent an mms to myself and to my wife and it showed that it was sending but we never got the mms. I know that sometimes it takes a while but 20 hrs. seems a little to long. If anyone knows of anything i'm doing wrong please let me know. I've tryed every post i've seen up to this point and none have worked. Thanx in advance.

first off, I have just used the "connection setup" on the girlfriends Dash and hers works fine- not to say it will definitely work for everyone but worked for me...multiple times in the past and recently.
the one thing that doesn't work...ever...is the send/receive button. It always ends in "error synchronizing" -If that is what is failing it is normal. Just send a test pic, and then try to get someone to send you one. Make sure they are on Tmobile to get a speedy transaction- I have had MMS to other carriers take a few hours before.

Oh yah sometimes they do take a long time for real.

MMS-Error Syncing
I am using the vanilla V24 rom on my T-Mobile Dash and have manually setup all the settings that I could find regarding ToMo WEB, T-Mo Zone, T-Mo VNC, and T-Mo MMS. I have successfully sent and receiving SMS. But MMS does not work. I receive Error Syncing everytime and have waited for over 3 days to receive. I can not offer any solutions, But can offer an alternative. If you have the T-Mobile Total Internet Package, you can setup an email account, i.e. gmail and use that.

mms problem solved
The cure was easier than i thought. Went to t-mo web site and loaded 6.o. No more issues with picture messaging, web or anything else for that matter.

AT&T Compatible WM6.1?

I've searched for 8525 roms that have 6.1, and each one that I've tried cannot send SMS or MMS on AT&T's network. It is also impossible to set up their media server with these roms. Does anyone know of a 6.1 rom that I can flash that will retain full AT&T functionality? Thanks!
Ian
I have been searching for the same thing. I am able to send MMS but not receive it and when I hit the send/receive button in MMS I get an syncronization error. I have proxy set up and enabled as well as all Media Net settings for AT&T. For now I have been using wm6 by VP3G on my main 8525 Phone

I am a ATT user. The rom I am using is PDAVIET 19400 build. I also intalled arcsoft mms composer version 5-0-31-11 and i have not had any problems with MMS. For some reason, I cant upload cabs. Also my radio is ver. 1.54.31.10. I am in washington st. Hopefully this helps. Also seach for shogun_cing cab. Its the att settings i am using that worked for me..

Read post #168 in this thread. Install that program and you can use it to get your network settings for any rom.

I also use ShogunMark's cab...
Dr. Puttingham,
I'm using your 6.1 ROM with shogun_cing.cab, and I'm still unable to send or receive MMSs. I've adjusted all the server settings to AT&T's specs, but nothing is working. SMS works, and after I changed the keyboard layout, everything seems to be fine otherwise. Suggestions?

I've tried several of the 6.1 roms also. I really liked ShadoW's a lot. But I've had "some" difficulties with ATT related settings in them. Different things wouldn't work on different builds. MMS, SMS, even had a problem with MobiTV working at times.
I've went back to VP3G's last 6.0 build and everything works great. No problems at all with anything. I'll stay with his until someone can get a 6.1 ATT rom to be as stable and work as flawlessly as VP3G's 6.0.
I can send/receive SMS and MMS fine with Pays 3.00 ROM.

Have you tried to install a arcsoft cab? Also try giving ATT a call too and make sure its not something on thier side. Also take a look at your settings under mms menu/mms options/servers and click the server that is lighted and see if everything is correct.
Mine shows
Server name:
AT&T MMS
Gateway:
wireless.cingular.com
Port: 80
Server address:
http://mmsc.cingular.com
Connect via:
Media Net. Note this is a drop down panel with different options to use.
Send limit: 600K
Hope this helps..

he make a good point. last month ATT disabled my SMS MMS DATA capabilities without informing me. after i called they said i signed up for media net and they revised they billing policies and my phone make and model is restricted from the affordable media net packages and i must sign up for more expensive separate data and txt plans.
I've got the "incredibly awesome" plan that has unlimited messaging, data, etc. In fact, I just rick rolled some dude through a MMS on the 5th, so I know I have the capability. As for the server settings, that was the first thing I corrected. The first time I flashed Puttingham's rom, it didn't have the option of adding MEdia Net as a server, so I had to flash back to the stock WM6 rom. I haven't tried arcsoft yet, I'll give it a try today. With that said, the feature that I like most about 6.1 so far is the threaded SMS. If I can add that to my existing HTC WM6, that would be awesome. No, the Palm SMS doesn't work for me. If I can get the 6.1 threaded SMS without the rest of 6.1, I would be happy. Any ideas?
how is my att 8525 different then yours almost all roms run perfectly

So helpful, thank you.
I had this issue for a while too and fixed it by resetting up the MMS with arcsoft but I think you can also use a cingular config cab (which I now have on my storage card) but I did notice every now and then the MMS will stop working and I will have to reset it. Its a little annoying the first time you find out its not working but very easy to fix.
I'm unable to find Arcsoft. Every time I look for it, all I find are threads complaining about it. Regarding the cingular cab, if I give you my email, can you send it to me?

I can use MMS and SMS with Pays and Shogun_cing. Thanks for the heads up. If anything else pops up, I'll be sure to whine about it.
I do have one issue with every rom I've tried: The inability to manually set email specs. If I have gmail, it comes up as a POP3 account, when it should be an IMAP4 account, and the discrepancy causes issues with the email servers...
After many different roms and settings, I've found that all have at least one fatal flaw. One might not support MMS, another won't support Windows Mobile Device Center, another won't let me configure my email properly. Another, even though it has "big storage" will flash the "critically low memory" alert after I install one program. I'm back to my stock WM6 that is reliable. There are so many people that are so willing to make a rom that is flashy, fast, or have cool features, but I have yet to see a rom that does everything correctly. With that said, I had a lot of fun trying figure things out, and I appreciate all the hard work of those that put time and effort into cooking roms. I also appreciate all the helpful suggestions from everyone in this thread. Now I have a legitimate excuse to upgrade to the Tilt. Thanks!
I have been using Faria R-32.....all mms sms and internet and email work perfectly.

I agree with Ian. All the 6.1 roms are great! And the folks that cook them for us are awesome too! But I was finding the same thing. Each rom had a different problem for me. I think its a matter of preference. Just like everyone uses a different radio rom. I think your geographical location plays a big roll in how well a rom works for you. Just like radio roms operate differently throughout the country. I know that one radio rom doesn't work as well for me as it does for someone else in a different part of the country.
So you have to try it and just see how it works for you. It may work better for you then it did someone else. That's why I don't judge roms so harshly because although it didn't work that well for me it might be great for someone else or vise-versa.

MMS Issues, please help!

I know, I know... search... well it hasnt worked for me. Im always trying out new roms, but I have noticed that more than half of them do not have mms under messages... there is no way to set them up... so I finally realized that I can download arcsoft mms which gives me access to putting in a gateway and port and all that. I am using the correct settings but for some reason it just isnt sending or recieving picture messages, i tinker with what its gonna use to connect with and still no use. I even tried the tmobijoe2999 app to use settings and apparently its not arcsoft friendly. I have a connection set up, internet explorer and opera work great I just wish that there was some sort of cab out there that every time I flash to a new rom, I could just have the mms settings working... any help? Ive gotten it to connect and just stay at 0%, ive had it go to 100% with confirmation but the person didnt recieve the message I am not very regedit friendly but please help me out.
Thanks!
Jake
P.S. Oh, and at the moment, im using CRC's 14.1 rom
Still not enough information
CRC's there is 3 versions, which one did you download?
Where are you located, and what is your device exactly? Carrier settings may not be correct.

Im located in Flagstaff, using a cingulair 8525 with tmobile. and I am using the Normal version of the rom.
it appears ive got the correct settings from the network wizard, it is now sending the message 100%. when I send a mms to myself, it goes through, but I ever recieve it.
i believe you better off asking this sort of questions on his thread. I am sure I seen somewhere the cab/settings for it.
alright, thank you for your help. if anyone out there is cool and they have tmobile and want to make a cab that has all the correct reg settings for data and mms, that would rock my world. Thanks again!!!
Actually, I just flashed my phone 4 times to 4 different roms, and each time after it customized and loaded up i pushed the envelope and all it had was text messages and setup email. I think something may be erased from my registry? and im using the 2.1 bootloader if that helps...

MMS problem

I've checked just about everywhere and can't figure this out. I installed Ricky & Stylez Rose rom V1.7 and ever since i can receive T-mo MMS but can't send. Is there a fix for this? Other than that great rom.
Maybe try running the device configurator through T-Mobile?

or you could try running the device configurator?
as a last resort, have you tried running the device configurator?
Please post back with your results
how do i do that, sorry not too familiar with my gadget
I'm guessing you haven't done this since you don't know your device, go to Start Menu\Accessories\Connection Setup and choose the region and carrier you need.
MMS doesn't work straight away with any of the WM6.1 ROMs you have to set it up, also jdog has a link in sig with the settings.
yay! thanks!!! you people are awesome i don't know what i'd do without this site.
MMS
Thanks but i've tryed device configurator and i get the following : Error in the database. Any ideas. Also tryed t-mo configurator and that's how i finally got mms to receive. Last thing that i tryed was T-mobile USA MMS settings cab. Am i missing something or just stupid?

i always get error syncing
i've tried device config and the htc wiki excalibur 5.99 tzones mms setup and still error syncing
helP~!
you will always get a error while syncing, it never works. But once you have configured to your provider, it should receive and send just fine. Testing it is just a matter of sending one and asking someone to send you one. If you play your cards right, you may be able to get a "naughty" pic out of the deal
I'm experience little annoyance with it too.
I run connection setup and set it t-mobile, and i send my self a text with image I get notice about it but never get the damn picture or just queue there never downloads it.
that happened to me once all i did was under MMS go to tools then options, then go down to account settings, click menu, go to MMSC settings and make sure T-mobile MMS is checked.

yes indeed it does do that but with the right configuration it works well i personally downgraded to 1.4 which is best since it doesn't drop my calls every 45 scs or 1min45 secs or have people call me and reach my voicemail when my phone does't even ring or just doesn't allow me to call like i don't have network. it's just faultless

I did a hard reset and now can't get to the net or email

Like the title says I was having some issues not being able to send email or texts or to make calls, how ever I was able to receive them all. Believing I was having an issue with my phone I did a hard reset hoping that would fix it.
Long story short... it wasn't my phone it was vodaphone
Since the hard reset I can make and receive calls and send and receive texts, but I cant get on the net or get or send email. I'm getting the following error:
"Your internet connection is not configured properly. Please verify your settings in connections."
Is there a guide on how to do this? I'm pretty cell phone tech ignorant.
I'm running Kavanas 6.1 rom
Thanks in advance.

GRSM (I think that's the right way to say it).
I'm following Roloracers instructions right now.
It seems to be working, but I'll know more once I remember my Gmail password..
no. i meant, when you flashed 6.1 for the first time, you had to have set up your internet for it to work.
now you say you reset the phone and your internet stopped working. WHY NOT JUST FOLLOW THE SAME STEPS YOU DID WHEN YOU DID THE INITIAL FLASH?
I guess what im asking is, did you forget how to set up your connection from the first time you did it until now? i just dont see the point of this thread.
Ah I understand now.
When I flashed it the first time I think (but not sure) the phone prompted me for connection info. It was a few months ago and I just don't remember.
Following Roloracer's instructions I was able to get on the net, but I'm having email issues. Gmail doesn't seem to want to recognize my log-in / password.
first make sure that you have the proper keyboard layout installed. if you do, try you username as your full email address. also verify that you can access gmail from a pc...just make sure that it is the phone. what error are you getting?

MMS issue with rose 1.7

I have been searching the forum looking for an answer to mms issue. i found post relating to MMS issue with Rose rom 1.7
but never found a 100% solution.
I like rose rom and is clean and light but only annoyance is I am not getting my
MMS I was using Kavana rom and i was getting MMS fine.
What the problem with Rose Rom getting the MMS?
I have use connection setup to set it up to Tmobile USA...
thank u for your time.
i am getting a problem with MMS too, everytime i am sent an MMS i get to a download screeen but nothing happens.
mine just takaes awhile to get i'm using kavana's rom but i sure do get it..maybe you just need to take a couple hours out of your day and change roms.it doesn't take that long the only thing that takes long is reloading the apps back on your phone if you don't have a backup program like sprite or something.
well i went rose 1.4.1 and my mms working fine.
so i guess is the remade 1.7
i never got mms to work on the rose rom 1.7 remade by stylez & ricky
really frustrating since mms is included in my plan as unlimited
I only get 1 out of 10 MMS's recieved to my phone, and sending is totally out of the question. I found a way around it.
The fix:
Have the sender send to an email account on your phone from their phone. Tell them just to send the pic to your email instead of phone number from now on. Some better phones allow you to send a pic to an email address.
You will get an email from a sender like [email protected] or [email protected] (I forgot the actual addresses).
Save it to your contacts, you can send a MMS to this address.

still get "error syncronizing" ...oh well I musta tried every thread on here to set up MMS. Ill keep tinkering with the settings, who knows something should work.
Yeah, I still get the 'error syncronizing' too when I hit the send/receive button, but it doesn't prevent me from sending and receiving MMS's. Not really sure if the send/receive button is really necessary anyway since MMS's are 'push' (for lack of a better term). To support that theory, if you go into SMS you will notice that send/receive is grayed out because it is not used. What is important is can you send and receive MMS's as they come now? I haven't missed one yet since the fix.
