Marble Worlds 2 works really well on HD, with G-Sensor - Touch HD Themes and Apps

I just tried this game; works really well on the HD. Doesn;t fill the screen fully (I guess its 640x480) but its the first good game I've played using the G-Sensor
http://www.4pockets.com/product_info.php?p=109

It also worked fine with my touch hd.
However when I updated my rom to this one,
the game automaticly pressed the hardware buttons (back and end call) that I assigned to 'jump' and 'accelerometer on/off' every 3 seconds. This also happend when I assigned other hardware buttons to these items.
When I assigned 'menu' to one of those hardwarebuttons the menu pops up every 3 seconds.
When I didn't assign any hardware buttons with 'configure keys' nothing happend.
sorry if my english is bad

Doesn't work for me

HTC AudioManager & Screen off

Hi there,
I have the brilliant Dutch ADW 1.1 ROM. Since yesterday however the HTC AudioManager stops playing when I press the off button, while before it didn't.
Does anyone know how to keep it playing again when the device is "off"?
TIA
PS. A program that keep all buttons but power and the screen locked, even when a call comes in also would to the trick.
On my P3600 + Faman WM6 french ROM, I manage to do it the following way :
1 - allow the WM6 screen lock option to appear into the Today screen (trying to translate from French : open the parameters panel in the start menu, select Today/Elements, select "Screen lock" and press "OK" ;
2 - go back to the Today screen and lock the screen ;
3 - now, pressing the on/off button will switch the screen backlight off without stopping the HTC manager.
Hope it works for you.
I use S2U2 and FTouchFlo, so that when I slide my finger right to left, it activates S2U2. Pretty nifty
Doesn't use that much extra battery either.
@deago, I tried your suggestion, but it didn't work. Music still stops when I press the off button, but thanks though
I'll try S2u2 tonight, but I think it is basically the same as slide2unlock, and that works, but not realy how I would like.
And... it workt before, so what's changed?? :S
I use AudioManager with the HTC Home Plugin thing and music keeps playing when I hit the off button. I'm using udk 6.1 rom
I was having the same problem on my P3600, with Axel's wm6 rom. Deago's fix didnt work for me, the only thing i've found so far is that if u install SPB Pocket Plus, u can get a little icon on your Today Screen that's called "Screen Toggle" and when u press it it turns the screen off and locks the keys and everything but the music continues to play in the background.
Hope i helped =)

Front Face Button issue.

Hi Everyone,
Just wondering if any has this issue?
Ive got a HTC Branded TyTN and I've installed various ROMs on the phone, included the standard rom. The buttons on the front of the phone seem to stop responding after 5 inputs.
For example, I activate the start menu with the Windows Button. I use the D-Pad to scroll down the list, i press it 4 times, the keys stop responding.
The slide out keyboard works fine.
Whats weird is, if i press the Ok button below the track wheel twice, I can then press the front face buttons 5 more times.
Any suggestions. I've done hardresets, Rom updates, im leaning toward a hardware issue. i'd like your input though.
Thanks

Repurposing the volume up/down buttons?

i really miss hardware scroll buttons.
on the rhodium there are two little side buttons for adjusting the volume. i'd really like to repurpose these as scroll up/down. For example, to work inside a browser. Unfortunately, there is no standard option (i can find) to redefine the purpose of these buttons.
i'm hoping there's another way. eg registry hack etc.
thanks for any help,
Use AEBPlus
I am doing exactly the same thing with my Volume Up/Volume Down, I've turned them into arrow keys. The lack of these is my biggest annoyance with the TP2.
That said, I have noticed a little flakiness - most of the time they work fine, but sometimes I hit them and they don't scroll as I expect. Then a moment later they start working.
Anyway, it's much better than not having them re-assigned.
Incidentally, AEBPlus has a cool feature where you can tell it not to remap the Volume keys when you're on a call, so they can still be used then.
Thanks for the tip, i'll give it a go!
AEBPlus works? I'll try it. heard from another TP2 user that it caused his device to freeze up resulting in a hard reset...

Been OK for me so far
Yes, AEB Plus works (no hard reset), but I can only add the windows button. The <-- (back) button does not work when mapped using AEB Plus.
Also, if you're using the JBed Midlet manager, the arrow keys automatically scroll up and down. It works well with Opera Mini.
AEB plus does nothing for me... i just have a list of buttons I can't do anythign with, a giant memory leak and crashing.

Yeah there appears to be no way to open an entry from the list using touch alone - must be a bug.
Highlight one of the buttons in the list, flip out your keyboard and then press enter/return. It will open the Edit menu where you can assign that button to something.

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! lol, I was wondering why people were talking so much about an app that does nothing
Did you guys install to main memory? I had no problems with AEB Plus on my 1.19.707.2 ROM.
I could assign the vol up/down keys and could also add the windows key. It is a bit tricky using the windows key as the first press brings up the programs tab.
I added the back key also, but couldn't get it to work. I didn't touch the send and end keys.
BTW, I used AEBPlus v2661

This all is my biggest concern upgrading from a Tilt.. I REALLY like hardware buttons, and make extensive use of AEButtonPLus as it is...

Press the entry in the list and keep holding for a few seconds more.
I've been using it since I had my touch hd and it works perfectly and I haven't found it to cause any issues.
Personally i assign one volume button to a task switcher (spb ms3 task manager) which makes multi-tasking far easier. You can then map double clicking to the original volume functions and even long hold to something else useful such as comm manager.
Awesome Tip. AEBplus Confirmed to be working fine on TP2 from T-Mobile (still stock rom for now). I made the volume buttons map to up and down like suggested but also made a long hold for volume up do "enter/activate" and a long hold for down do rotate the display.
my phone (telus rom) keeps getting screwed up when I install AEBplus and gets back to normal when I undo it.

Remapping hardware keys

Hi,
I have a German htc Touch Pro 2 (from O2) and I am still using the ROM it came with.
After a bit of tweaking, it is working great and there are a few minor tweaks I have not worked out how to do yet even after searching this forum.
1. After previously having the Hermes (Trion) and Artemis (Orbit) phones with lots of programmable keys, I find it a setback to only have one such key on the TP2 (hold call button). I am looking for a way of at least adding the Windows key to the list of programmable buttons (preferably both normal and hold modes). Being able to reprogramme the up/down buttons would be great as well (with hold mode).
2. On the main keyboard, the Ctrl key appears to me to be underused. I would like to use ctrl-T (or ctrl-messaging) as a tab-key - a button sadly omitted on the otherwise excellent keyboard.
Is there a registry hack to do this?
I currently have the hold phone key mapped to "messaging" so that I can easily switch messaging accounts when viewing my email. Holding the Windows key would be used by me to activate Microsoft Voice Command 1.6.
Additionally, I noticed that htc has omitted the Google Maps page on Touch Flow. Can this be hacked back in?
Regards
Peter
Good question
I was looking for this answer myself. So far I haven't found anything, but I'm still looking.
I am in the need of something like that, too.
I have a German-Version of Touch Pro2, everything is standard. The only thing I want this device to do is to type in russian (with the hardware keyboard).
But I guess thats not really your concern, Peter Walker.
However, I would appreciate any help.

You could try the Rhodium Keyboard Controller found in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=554240. It lets you reconfigure all hardware keys.

Keyboard intermittent / stops working

The keyboard on my TP2 (Verizon) intermittently stops working (no key press registers, however the buttons on the face of the phone still do). After soft reset it works again. This is with different ROMs. I'm thinking, perhaps, there is a loose connection internally. It also has odd crashes, but this might only be a ROM problem as it is much less pronounced with the latest ROM I'm using (Elite team ROM).
Diagnosis? I'm reluctant to send it into Verizon for just this, as its only occasional. Wondering if anyone has experienced the same thing
I'm having this same exact issue. I'm using the latest ROM from HTC. Sometimes when I open the keyboard in an app, like texting or email, the keyboard is genreally non-responsive. When it's in this state, the enter key goes to windows Apps but all other keys failed to work. I also test by pushing the FN to see if the FN light tunrs on.
What's strange with mine is the keyboard will work when it's open like for phone use, but when open with an app like text/email/bing, it doesn't...
Like previous poster, not sure if hardware ro what...
This may not have anything to do with your problem, but..
I have the PTT button on my tilt2. I have a case that wasn't designed to encompass that button, so it gets covered up (I had a find time finding a case that did actually fit!)
I have the PTT button assigned to do nothing, but with it being pressed down, it makes my keyboard non-responsive as well as disabling the arrows keys on my touchscreen. It will however work for a while after restarting my phone, but it always goes back to the same thing.

Thank you very much for posting this. I do have the same exact setup, I have the PTT button unassigned and I too have a cover that covers it. So maybe it's pressing it down causing the problem.
I hope this is it and really appreciate your post...
UPDATE:
Sweet, I just checked things out. removed the cover and it would the keyboard doesn't go non-responsive when I push the PPT button, and works when I don't...
By George, I think you got it!!!!
GREAT!!!!
