I use LogMeIn FREE version, and it works perfectly through WI-FI or GPRS. It works with Both Macs and PC's. I use it on Windows XP and Vista Machines and can tell you it works great! Small screen, but works in a pinch when you are away from home and need something important on your home computer.
It also allows remote control from PC's to PC's. As far as I can tell, it allows unlimited clients on the Free Version, but I may be wrong there. I have about 10 client computers in my account, and can access them any time I need.
You can get it free here:
http://www.logmein.com
There is also Remote Control Software from Microsoft that I've tried a few times, but not nearly as easy to set up in my oppinion.
And there is the VNC method, which works fairly well, but again, not nearly as easy to setup.
Good Luck!
PS: I have tried a LOT of Remote Control Software, and always come back to LogMeIn... I prefer the free version over most pay software.

The software you see in that video can be found here, I believe:
http://blueshareware.com/bluetooth_remote_control.asp
Although, I am not positive if the Java on the Trinity supports it, you will need to verify that.
I just found another designed for Windows Mobile:
http://www.jaylee.org/category/Bluetooth-Remote-Control.aspx
Good Luck!

if its specifically media center control from your WM you were after then Windows SideShow runs on your WM via bt to your desktop and allows you to control core media center functionality. cool stuff.

I know that Novii Remote does this, but the IR in our Trinity's is not very powerful, so you have to be really, REALLY close to your TV for it to work. There might be other software, but I've tried this one.
http://www.novii.tv/pocketpc/
Edit: Ok, I just found some others, but I've never tried them...

Good Luck!

Hi
sorry but what is IR port? I when I install novii I have on options:
COM1:S2410 IRDA
COM3:Infrared Port
what I select?

Software issue - looking for specific software

Hi,
Since one week I own the Qtek 9090 and I am very impressed with the functionality - well, it's my first PDA so I am very quick impressed I guess.
I am searching for software which I know exists for Symbian platform mobile phones, like programs "I-remote" to use the IR as a remote for the Tv, etc... programs like this ...fun and usefull.
Anybody knows where to go to find such programs?
Any other sites for a hugh list of software to download or buy?
Thanks for all your help
Unfortunately, due to the design of the IR port on the Qtek, you would have to be holding it right next to the IR receiver of the device you were trying to control!
For software, try www.pocketgear.com and www.handango.com for starters.
give a yahoo or google search........ atttttachin 2 files dunnno whether they work on ur pda or no......
also try pdawin.com
try novii remote. it works great on xda2 up to a distance of 3 to 4 meters.

Blue Tooth Remote????????

My lad has a sony ericson K750i and he has a built in app that means he can connect to the home PC and use the phone as a remote for a number of PC based apps such as media player, the desk top etc..
Has any one seen anything like this for the Orbit?
Under Windows Mobile 6 you can use Remote Desktop Service to Remote Control your PC, with Windows Mobile 5 it is Terminal Services i think. Other software, for example Remote Amp, lets you Remote Control Mediaplayers like iTunes or Winamp, so Yes, there is Software like that, and i dare to say, that these programs are much more powerful than the Sony Ericson thing is
I use tightvnc on my desktop computer and pocket vnc viewer on my pda. You simply need to install tightvnc on your computer, set up a password and set up my firewall to let me get in.
I use another tool to use wake on lan, with this I can even turn on my computer (need to be enabled in bios) when I'm in range and then access it. There are a few versions out there, check out the big freeware pages, you will find it. It's like you are using your computer yourself, everything can be controlled.

Just done a bit of digging on this and found it is in the WM6 Pro version but not in the standard version. Does anyone know if this can be retro installed on a standard version ?
Many thanks........
I installed it on my device, I didn't try to get a connection but the application starts up. I still prefer other clients, that's why I didn't try to establish a connection. I found the cab somewhere in another forum, I think it was Wizard or Hermes forum in one of those "kitchen"-threads.
BT Remote on k750i uses Bluetooth HID Profile and acts as virtual keyboard. It has nothing to do with Remote Desktop and is much less battery expensive than it.

There`s an application called "NET SUPPORT CONTROL" that makes magic. You can command everything of your pc from your phone or rather control your phone from your pc.
Salling Clicker ?
But Netsupport is something similar to VNC, but more options and it isn't free. imo Netsupport is a nice tool for a company that needs
remote controlling all the devices. we also use it in our company to support our clients.
I think he's searching something like Salling Clicker ?
Dunno this tool, it isn't free...but sounds like something you're searching for...
oh yeah, a free alternative would be nice
Cheers
So I was looking for something like this...
till now three solutions.
http://www.jaylee.org/remotecontrol/
free, over Bluetooth,
buggy but touchpad function works well.
http://www.sidesk.org/
free, over WiFi,
less buggy. no touchpad but lots of easy customized shortcuts possible.
http://www.aacompserv.com/AACompWeb/Modules/PPCTablet/WhatIsIt.aspx
paid, over WiFi
some bugs, easy to use. easy customized shortcuts + touchpad function. has also kind of VNC function

I use a software called NetSupport Control. You can control your pc from your mobile and vice versa, throught bluetooth or activesync.
Check mocha vnc:

Works via wifi or inetrnet.

Remote Control W10M

Hi,
Is there any app to remote control a W10M device ??
On Android devices and W8/10 desktops I use TeamViewer and I like it much, however, the W10M version allows me to control another device from the phone but not to control the phone from another device...
What I want is to be able to control a Lumia 650 from a Windows PC. Any utility for that ?? Any way to RDP into W10M ??
Thanks in advance,
Manuel
[ I'm new to W10Mobile (Today!), I've done a search but not found anything about it... ]
nope sorry, isnt possible. no app has enough permissions (or is able to get enough) to do that. dunno if it was possible in the past with the project my screen app (via usb) to make inputs, but that feature isnt implemented in win 10 mobile (was only available in 8(.1)) either way (only screen sharing via miracast is possible with 10 mobile, or continuum)
Thanks for your answer. I suspected it but had some hope...
This is a real drawback, no way to give remote support to users !!
iOS and Android both work really well with TeamViewer..
W10M supposedly has Universal app, but the remote control is just one way... and I need just the other !!
Thanks, Regards,
for such things there a no api, should be possible for a dev to make a "look"on the device possible, but only within that one app. and thats useless, everything else would need deep system access/integration. and that is just not possible (and somehow against ms' safety concept of windows 10 mobile)
call me old fashioned, but i find it useless either way. anyone who needs "remote support" for his phone shouldnt be allowed to have a smartphone or using the internet at all (yes im voting for a "internet driving license", but sadly that system doesnt work on the street at all too...)
hehe... please don't give such ideas... Internet driving license... plus taxes, of course !!
Actually I have lots of that kind of users to support... That's why I need a remote tool !
Once resigned to not having it... MS concept of "safety" seems too different on Desktop than on mobile. WDesktop has RDP tightly integrated (That was my last hope on mobile, to have sth simmilar, but no luck... ) and lots of apps to remote control... Including the W10M version of TeamViewer, that allows you to control a Windows Desktop, and even a Windows Server !!)
It's only me, or... seems weird?
There is a app named "Teamviewer Quicksupport preview" which can be used for remotely control w10 mobile.but it's only available for Redstone user..
Redstone mean insider fast ring?
You can also remote control your device using device portal in developer settings of your Windows 10M. To use it from your phone, go to "127.0.0.1" in your browser. From other device through common Wi-Fi or hotspot connection, your phone's ip address as the link in browser of android device.
(this has some cool stuffs to use).
