Gyrator is a great app... with a load of functions but I found that I didn't really use any of them except the screen tilt/Gsensor function.
That said one of the problems I had with Gyrator is that it always stayed in my open apps which is not THAT big a deal, but would just annoy the crap out of my OCD brain!
Anyway I decided to make a different version for myself and anyone else who JUST wants the Screen tilt function.
This appliaction will:
- allow you to stop and start the screen switch as you please
- start up with your device if desired
- allow exceptions (Opera is an exception by default because it already uses the Gsensor)
* I recommend if you use Tomtom to add that in a well (to avoid the screen switching when you hit a bump!)
- NOT show up in the running programs list! (Most important thing to me!)
- You also do NOT need to install .NETCF 3.5 to use this. It should run fine on 2.0!

Damn, do you mean the screen got stuck like frozen or just wouldn't rotate back (like the app crashed)?
Works like a charm for me after I fixed the exclusion list. Rotates on everything that I want it to rotate on

Would like to say thanks. Just the thing I needed. All is well with my HD (had to soft-reset first--was crashing, returning to "Home"). Although Gyrator has its merits, it was too technical for me (simpleton and all). Your son has been fed.

It worked well at first but then for unknown result when i tried my phone in landscape mode it immediately went back to portrait mode . I used 1.17 and 1.18 rom of pzuchel all gave me the same result. I'm happy to donate only when the soft is stable but i try all of the rotating software with the same result like above

If none of the apps work it MUST be something in the ROM... but what?! I really wish I had an HD so I could attepmt a solution! but unfortunately i don't...
I'm doing things a little differently in the new version i'm building. Maybe check back here in a few days for the new version and try that...

Damn... is i just the sms app or does it act like that no matter what?
actually when it occured to sms it also happened to another software like opera when rotating even if when i configed changescreen to use rotate sms only

When i use my HD in landscape mode to write a sms, the screen rotate itself to portait mode as soon as i push any key on the virtual keyboard.
is it because the application name "sms" change istself its name to "2/160", "3/160" ... ?
I try to enter "160" in the exclusion list but it didn't work.

Hi 600GOL, i am using pzucchel ROM V1.18+ () and indeed I noticed that if i exclude Manilla from rotation, the app keeps rotating Manilla anyway....where could be the issue?

Only one problem. Landspace mod in the sms works,but when tap in the keyboard, shuts off in Today regime. mail me this performs trouble free.Any idea?

Are you only rotating the exceptions? If you are you need to uncheck rotate manila. If not try adding "star" instead of "start" to the exceptions. Let me know if that helps. I should have a new version out for testing in a day or too also so check back!

Dude, no idea. The next version should fix a lot of the issues that people are having. The only thing I could suggest is to be patient for now and check back in a day or two to test the new version...

Introduction
It took a long time, but finally version 1.2 is here! It is a bèta version, but I think it is stable enough to share it.
I am happy I found some time to create this new ROM. An important target for me was to fix the nasty lose of settings bug (password, wifi etc). There was a solution for this problem, but it broke A2DP. This ROM has a fix for losing settings and A2DP is still working . It should be safe now to set a password.
Another target for me is/was to improve the one-hand-usage of the device. It should be easier to handle the device with the buttons. Altogether a big update!

I tried all roms for the P3600. I also used your 1.1 version. The a few WM6.1 versions, then your 1.2 version, then wm6.1 again, finally I went back to your really great 1.2 version.
I haven't find a bug so far! Fast, nice, stable!

Update, it seems that simply changing anything on the today screen causes "lag" in some cases the phone grinds to a halt. Some items make the analogue clock dissapear. The clock can be restored by unchecking/recheking, but i have not tested this with all the possible options.(this workaround at least works with "tasks" but the "lag" remains)
Set everything back to normal and all the lag is gone, its definately a problem with the "home screen"
I have also done a call-delay test, these are the results on a freshly rebooted phone.
Incoming call, with screen on after reboot
1 seconds for the call screen to appear
2 seconds for the ringtone to start playing
2 seconds for the vibration to kick in
1 seconds for the call to end after the caller has already disconnected

I changed some registry entries and untill now (4 hours later) my "htc plus" did not disappear. I think it has something to do with the list order.

adewidt, thanks for taking a look, could you try the same test as me and see the results with your phone? as you are using a different radio rom you might notice a difference.

Only ring for ~0,5 secs after the other party disconnect the call

Even though we cannot configure, it's a great and fast app

I always install this in all ROM's that I use, but in your ROM it's great
and the starting process is amazing, no questions at all.

I had a lot of problems installing this rom, although I'm not sure it is caused by the rom itself. Anyway, finally managed to unbrick my phone and the rom is running.

well the basic idea of this ROM is to have a touch friendly interface and minimum(actually there are quite a few included) apps installed
ROM has 8 mb pagepool
and includes latest HTC camera 6.13 from elfin ROM
it will have around 20~21 mb RAM free at startup which seems low but its only because of large pagepool size
and about 40 mb storage memory
overall its a fast ROM

maybe your Artemis is from T-Mobile, like mine. There's no wifi hardware on T-Mobile version of Artemis.

Even i liked ur ROM and just want to give some more suggestions, see if you can include and possible..
VOIP+SIP client
Using advanced config tool when i set battery to shown instead of clock, the icon always show full battary status even if the battary is not 100 % or very low-- pls check if there is any issues.

Installed you rom today, but on start up got some errors like cannot load. Don't remember what was the exact errors, but had 4 such errors and occur every time you restart your artemis. Hence I have moved back to Yue extraclean. But liked your rom, can you tell me why there could have been an error.

it must be some program that you had installed earlier which must be trying to load from storage card
i dont think this problem is with ROM just try to remember some program which you had earlier and which started after reboot
and just to try this ....flash this ROM and boot the phone without storage card inserted you wont get that error......
EDIT : i guess u had throttle launcher theme installed if yes then that must be causing the errors

After Flashing, give it some time. It takes a LONG TIME to finish loading the first run. Immediately after flashing, I recommend running the FingerKeyboard Setup found in the 'Tools' Folder. Then use the 'nueSIPDefault' also found in the 'Tools' folder to set your desired Keyboard. See Video Above.

The.Decoy is generous enough to look through my Kitchen for errors and will help me fix them. When that is done, I will release a better version. The first one was a test to see if I could make one boot.
I'll get back to you soon. Possibly tomorrow, even if the.decoy has not had a chance to go through it all, I will see about getting a Super Ultra Lite version out.
Then, after he gets a chance to look it over, I'm sure you will get some fun stuff.

I'm not sure if Video Calls work yet in 6.5.3. Do you know of a ROM where it works? I'll look into this if I can find a source for a working Dialer.

I'm not fully back on track, but I miss doing this stuff.
I don't know what to say about the WiFi issue. I'm recommending to everyone to only flash your ROMs AFTER going into the Windows Mobile Tri-Color Boot Screen. Power/Camera/Reset. My WiFi is still down on my Trinity, so I have no way of testing it on these releases. Hopefully, we will find a fix for the WiFi issue soon.

Which version are you running? The Beta Expiration has been removed, that text is only Text and can be removed through the Registry. I thought I had done that, but again, at 2:00am, I obviously missed something.
I'll try to put together a Cab file for those who have already downloaded this ROM and don't want to download a fixed version.

The Super Ultra Lite version does not have CHome. Also, I'm rebuilding and uploading the Kitchens, AutoFlash and RRU's right now. Should have them up within a couple hours. From the Kitchen, you can add remove any of those items. Custom ROMs. If you would rather not try cooking, then I will work it out for you.
I don't know how many personalized ROMs I can build, but if people can be patient, I will attempt to try a few. What I would be willing to do is start from the Blue version and drop anything people want left out. Adding things is a little more time consuming and might be done on a case by case basis, depending on the need. Some Packages I might already have and it would be easy to add them. Or, if you provide the package, that would help too. Not a cab, but an EXT Package.
First, I want to apologize if anybody had trouble downloading today.
I was amazed that there were over 200 downloads between 3am and 5pm Pacific time. Thank you everyone for checking these out.
I'd still like input on the P3600i versions as I have no real way to test them or see Bugs as you would on your phones (I'm on a Trinity). How's the Memory, Storage Space, Bugs, etc...?
The reason you MAY have had problems downloading was because I removed all the files from MediaFire and re-Cooked and re-Uploaded everything. I also restructured the MediaFire Mirror a little so it was easier to keep track of files from my end.
So, they are back up and rebuilt (Links in Post 1 & 2). Input would be nice if you get a chance. I've been speaking with The.Decoy and he's pointed out some issues I need to deal with, so hopefully I can understand everything he tells me and make these better.
Just for the record, The.Decoy is Incredibly Intelligent, it actually blows my mind what he knows (Many Levels Above My Understanding of All This). A good guy to hang out with, indeed.

I don't really know if there is one, and it's not that I'm videocalling all the time, actually it's my 4th or 5th phone with that capability and I used it only ONCE on my first phone just to see how it works but I'd like to have all phone features enabled whether I use them or not but I could live without it I guess still it's a bit weird that newer phones are stripped form that feature don't you think?
more important - what about EzKeyboard? imo it's as usable as FK but it takes less screen space so it's a bit more handy (for me ofcourse)

Thank you for the report. Yes, first boot is a LONG boot. I've noticed that since the 23xxx versions. But it does eventually get it done.

Ok, I have to agree. I've NEVER had the opportunity to use the Video Calling feature, but I also feel every available feature should work, Just In Case!
I'll see what I can do. I had a report that the video dialer in my 23504 Blue worked, so I'll try that here. I don't remembe if it disabled the Smart Dialing feature, but it might.
Could you tell us how to remove the beta warning ? or should we reinstall ?
+1 for EZInput especially since it includes predictive typing for foreign language user... would be great to be able to choose to use it... but fingerkeyboard is nice too !
I also wanted to report having a weird message about voice command stoping because lack of ram (I don't use voice command).

I bricked my Diamond while I was testing out some new stuff on my next ROM release. So for now, this ROM is on hold. Luckily it is a nice stable ROM, so please feel free to keep using it if you wish. I can still try to help with any problems you have.
Don't worry about this ROM, it is completely safe...I only bricked mine because I was testing some new packages.

I've been playing with my own custom ROM (thanks to Ervius for his amazing Kitchen!), and thought I'd share it with others.
It's been customised to my own liking, so there will be a few settings that are not "default", such as the brightness, text size etc...
I've tried to get a good compromise between speed and memory usage. Everything in Sense 2.5 should work. Other apps that I find useful have been included.
You'll notice the clock says 0:00 when you first boot up. This is a side effect of the Manila clock flip fix. Don't worry, it will change back to normal the next time the minute changes.
PLEASE NOTE THIS IS AN INITIAL BETA RELEASE, TO TEST AND ENSURE THE ROM WORKS AS IT SHOULD. LATER RELEASES WILL INCLUDE A FEW MORE VISUAL TWEAKS AND ENHANCEMENTS. I'M NOT HAPPY WITH THE FOLDER ICONS, SO THEY WILL BE CHANGED NEXT RELEASE TOO.

- On first boot after customisation, there is a few minutes delay before the device resets. Instead of waiting, you can soft-reset once the customisation progress indicator reaches the end.
- going to sound settings on the Manila settings tab will crash. To fix this, go to Start menu > settings > sound options and close it. After that, the manila sound settings tab will work.
- Camera gives an error. Cab fix in post #2
- Video Calling not working yet

- Please report any issues you find, and any suggestions you have.
- If you want a faster ROM, open Diamond Tweak (in the Tools folder) and set all the Device Performance settings to advised. This will use more RAM but increase performance.
- To enable manila locker, go to the Settings tab > personalise > manila locker. Don't enable backlight setting as it still doesn't work 100%.
- I always suggest flashing a new ROM using internal storage method (reset + volume down + back button). Always Hard Reset after flashing a new ROM.
- If you have any strange issues, please use MTTY and try flashing again

swapped from Don's version 2 to give this a try. (for me its the best sense 2.5 there is for diamond so i'm using it as a benchmark)
first well done with the release. i love the look and feel. working through setting everything up and so far
email set up is lovely. runs smooth as silk.
wallpaper works fine
installed the 16 shortcut option. (could be worth adding to the rom)
calander works fine. adds appointments fine
issues with the Album. (it doesnt swap between shots) used the cab from Don's thread which fixed the issues.
auto update on weather works fine
twitter tab works fine
facebook intergration works fine.
contact picker for the contacts tab works fine. and the fb intergration for contact pics works well.
after playing for 30 Mins setting this up running at 72% ram
only had a short play with opera but seems to be running without memory issues.
wifi connecting fine, no issues.
i've not had chance to test gps (i'm old fasioned and dont use quick gps. i have patience but i'll report on my tomtom tomorrow)
in general. i'm not having an issue so have to say you are competing with Don for the most usable 2.5 on the diamond thread.
i would advice adding clean ram 1.9.3 to the rom as it is running on the border of ram usability but full credit for the beta. can't wait for the RC

How is the overall speed? Acceptable or does it feel sluggish? I tried to compromise between speed, ram and having all features included.
The albmu issue you mention...do you mean pressing "albums" in the pictures tab and viewing the pictures in full screen? Which cab are you meaning from Don's thread?

Please, ONLY those who are comfortable flashing ROMs try this. If it causes problems, you will need to Boot Into Bootloader and Re-Flash another ROM.
Hello Everyone.
After many months, maybe even over a year (Ever since 6.5 came out), I've been trying to get a working Video Dialer on WM 6.5 ROMs. Well, a couple weeks ago, I had muhammri verify for me that it INDEED WORKS! Not only Video, but ALSO Smart Dialing!
So, with that knowledge, I've tweaked the ROM a bit and would like Video Call testers. I don't have a way to test Video Calling since I don't have anyone to test it with, so I'd like some of you to let me know if the Dialer works properly in this build. If anyone wants to see my Mug, PM me and I'll call you or give you my #. I've NEVER been able to test Video Calling. US only please.
Please keep in mind this is a BETA, and as such, will likely have some issues (Menu not cleaned up yet, Icons need replacing, Likely other issues...). Please point these out to me so I can fix them and get a clean base Kitchen that I can release. I'm anxious to see what others will be able to do skinning the dialer more than I have. (Hint Hint - nAr & icke! )
As always, you Must have HardSPL Installed, and you Should backup all your data.

I believe that when I deleted the kitchen, I put it back together from the wrong parts. It was quite unstable. I started from scratch and built the Kitchen again. This time, much better. Not perfect still, but better. See Notes Below in RED on what is fixed or not...

Thank you guys, and I'm really sorry. Between health, Thanksgiving, kids, etc, I have not had much time with this. I will try to focus again as I know Trinity does not get much Love lately.
This is my latest build with a few things fixed. It's still definately BETA, but much better than the last one. There are still some issues, but I will get to ironing them out again...

Great ideea to keep 6.5 at a bare minimum to leave more RAM available for intensive apps such as navigation software!
I just installed it and I have a few problems:
-SD card does not work. works on my computer, tried formating it, no result.
-Device Information and Microphone AGC icons are doubled
-Opera 10 mobile does not work "a critical component is either missing or cannot start..."
Good work so far!

Thank you for all the reports. It does help. I'm also running into those issues. I've recreated another that has fixed some of them. I'll keep working and get another release out asap.
It seems that when I included all the Video Dialer stuff it breaks other things, but I'll beat it!
It also seems like I'm having trouble with 23569, so I'm backing down to 23504 until I get it stable, then I'll try adding back 23569...
Here is the current one if anyone is feeling daring. I've removed FingerKeyboard and Added HTC EZ-Input, including Compact QWERTY, Full QWERTY and Phone Keypad. Duplicate Icons still exist and Opera is removed till fixed.
alright, so this 23504 is the latest beta right? gonna test it in a minute, as 23102 built from yours and Decoy's kitchen is having some issues because of my changes and i dont remember what i have changed to revert it back but i hope opera mini will work, its essential. also if you're going to cook another betas etc please do version with ez input and finger keyboard separately - there are many of us who highly dislike finger kbd or make it uninstallable. alright, downloaded so i'm going to flash it, cheers!
edit: alright, so it is quite fast (as far as we can say something like that about 6.5 roms ), Opera Mini works fine with wifi, i thought ez input will be v2.1 not v1.5, but its still a beta, so neither this or lack of weather panel is really an issue. what i like is that you didnt include 1000 apps, only the essential ones - this way we can install what we want, anyway first thing ill turn off in the kitchen when its released is additional themes which are so damn ugly i cant stand having them included . will give this rom a try during next few days, probably until another version arrives, looks good so far, keep up good work SS!
edit2: woah! the included chome customizer is ACE ! i've managed to add weather panel easily, and this is much better panel than the one i was used to see in earlier roms! great!
edit3: issues spotted - i cant disable T9 properly, it reenables everytime i start typing a new message etc. also windows media player volume is reverting to 75% no matter what you set each time you run it

Hey jedai, long time no see. Probably due to my lack of doing anything in the Trinity Forums lately.
Thank you for the input. Yes, the Home Screen Customizer is a favorite of mine also. I like the weather panel it installs. I am not happy with the EZ Input yet either, but I like it better than FingerKeyboard for now. I will try to track down the newer version, as I was not aware of the update.
I think I'll be removing more apps on the next release because I feel the same way about too much stuff that I don't want in my ROMs.
well i wasnt exactly active either there is this "TO:" field bug also - outlook may hang if you choose a name from ez input helper (i hope you know what i mean, i dont know how to call it but it shows you contact names when you just type one letter, and there is one from windows/outlook and one from ez input and the one from ez input hangs outlook when used, especially when xt9 is enabled, which happens to be enabled everytime ez input is used, as i mentioned earlier).
there isnt much more i've noticed, few suggestions maybe - htc connection setup shoud be part of the rom i think, even though its damn easy to find and install. also as i tested some roms recently, both winmo6.1 and 6.5 some of them werent able to play 3gp movies which is kinda weird behaviour for a mobile phone, so i hope this one will be able to play them (i dont have any of these files to test atm). maybe its time also for office 2010? i know besides new nice icons not much has changed if anything, but still - if we weren't for eye-candiness we would stick to wm5.0 dont we?
