Which did you try? The 3.2 version or the 3.3?
What is the difference between the two anyway?

i tested AKU3.3 ROM. Can u test to help me which AKU3.2 ROM?

i get an error 102: ce image file checksum error when using the included ROMUpgradeUt.exe. i am going to download again the aku3.3 an try again.

I tried both and none of them worked. Something wrong with the ROM image, also tried MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe but it doesn't even display the ROM version to be updated. I think the file is corrupted.

i got aku3.3 update working right now. this is what i have done:
- copy the nk.nbf to an empty directory and copy the following files from another aku3.2 update package (ivans for instance) in the directory where nk.nbf is located:
EnterBL.exe
GetDeviceData.exe
ROMUpgradeUt.exe
RUU.dll
RUU.conf
UI.dll
maybe not all files are required but it was easier for me to copy the whole bunch instead of searching for the real required ones
@helmi: can you please check the integrity of the htc files required for update. something must went wrong while preparing the rar-file.

I've got the same issue; then copied only nk.nbf into my original qtek-upgrade directory, changed header to QTEK_001 and worked.

hmm... Its seems the romupgrade and its dependency is corrupt for some pc... sorry about that...

I have downloded and installed Helmi UNI AKU3.3 (very fast rom indeed), but my version shows OS 5.1342 (Build 15671.3.2.0), doesn't that mean it is in fact an AKU 3.2???
Anyway it seem to be a very good rom!

Build 15671 is AKU3.3, Build 15605 is for AKU.3.2
Its seems I've forgot to mod the
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\Versions]

Loox n5x0 series rom update

heh, i`ve researched on the loox n5x0 series (htc maria?) rom format. now we can create custom roms.
Loox n5x0 OS_xxxU.nbf header format
total 42 bytes header, the rest is not crypted os rom image (what we usually call nb0 or n_d)
4 bytes - model name (N500, N520 or N560) + 11 bytes empty (filled with 0x00) +9 bytes version (e.g. 1.22.0001) + 1 byte 0x20 (space) +3 bytes language (e.g. ENG, ITA, GER) + 2 bytes empty (0x0) +4 bytes - reversed crc32 checksum (if we have, for example, 1163FCED, then we write ED FC 63 11) + 4 bytes - size of decrypted part (reversed somehow? we have 2100000 and write 00001002) + 4 bytes - rom base flash address (seems it it 80400000, we type 00 00 04 80, don`t play with it)
all this is true for OS_yyyU.nbf ( yyy means rom version), bootloader nbf is coded otherwise, it is usually named BL_xxx_G3.nbf or bl_xxx_G4.nbf. xxx - bl version. I suppose you delete file bl_xxx_G4.nbf or bl_xxx_G3.nbf. new pda`s come with g4 flash, it will be killed with g3 update. and, anyhow, bootloader update is always dangerous and not recommended.
wait a bit - in some days i`ll post a tutorial how to extract os rom image from n500/n520 and probably n560 pda.

If you have german/french/italian/spanish pda but want to use this update, edit the nbf with winhex and change ENG to FRA/GER/ITA/SPA
Be sure to remove the password (fsc secure lock) before flashing

getting my n560 ready to flashing... go-go-go!

I have a spanish N560 pda. I wanted to upgrade its rom.
I did everything as indicated:
- open pda and put it in the cradle
- connect cradle to the power and the usb to my WinXP laptop
- in my XP machine activesync (4.5 spanish version) connects and recognizes my pda
- check there is no password protection in the pda (there was none before)
- unpack n560.Alex_DFR_.AKU.3.5.2.rar and open with WinHex OS_213U.nbf; change ENG to SPA; save file
- execute PocketLOOX5xxFlashTool; in the end I get this error:
"The language in this Flash Image update () differs from that on your device (SPANISH)!"
Well, I did again and again and again... same error...
Any suggestions???
PS: I would like to put its new rom in english, if it's possible!

your update is quite intersting but I have two questions before I want to flash:
1. is the ROM affected by flashing your image, if flashing fails, can the N560 hard reset to original state?
2. Is there a tool which can fetch a complete image from N560 (with ROM)?
Can you give us a short info how you cook the image?
Where do you get the HW depended drivers (e.g WLAN, display..)?
Do you have any links? I have looked a long time
to find any info about upgrade the N560 or cooking Loox images.

Hi sp3dev and everyone,
I did the upgrade and it went fine, the only thing was that the keyboard was English, I thought there were all in the ROM, and I wanted to get back to the first ROM, so and here comes my problem, I executed
pdocwrite nk.nb0 0 0x2300000
The result of this is that it get stucked at the very first screen, Is there any way to get back? How could I upload a ROM to the N560 in this case?

Oh, i don`t know. we have xip with all wm6 modules but wm6 doesn`t boot yet. When we fix, and if we do, i`ll inform everyone

I did the upgrade yesterday eve, but i am missing the remote desktop client..
can't seem to find any link.. mtssc or any.. i looked in the windows folder but couldn't find it.
Anyone a hint?

It's not there due to a bug. Likewise the transcriber does not work and hangs the system.
I suggest waiting until they fix it and upgrade then, if it is vital for you. I will wait for two reasons: it is probably buggy yet (only two known bugs now though), and I am loath to re-install everything from scratch for the next couple of weeks
Besides, people experiment there with pool size (with some trade-off in RAM) which may yield an even faster machine.
Also if you upgrade, you must not use an old (all-)system backup. Just re-install everything single piece of software you use. Note that some software may lose its registration since you will have a *different* PPC with new (and unofficial) ROM.

I thought that in AKU 3.5.2 WPA2 was supported. If I'm right this is supported since AKU 3.5. After upgrade I noticed it wasn't in this release. Is it a mistake? or I'm really wrong.

I just bought a new JASJAR and would like to upgrade to WM6, plz suggest me best ROM upgrade, let me tell you that the reason i bought jasjar is bcoz i had a k-jam and i tried some ROM upgrades on it.. and screwed it totally.. so this time i need something best & reliable for my jasjar.. can somebody help me

Check out this link..its Wm6.0 released by Ivan and i have been using it for almost a month now and so far dont have problems with it except that it doesnt have the video call function and so do all of them...most of all the memory leak bug has been fixed in it and Free memory stays around 24mb which is good enough for me.

I am new owner of M700 really interested to flash it from WM5 to WM6,but still no idea on the steps... abit worry as my window Vista does not communite well in USB with my dopod. Saw your posting but is in chinese. please help to provide the guide in english.

Hi there i have tried to flash my Dopod M700 with the official WM5.0 from HTC webpage and then latter changed to WM6.0 downloaded from xda-dev.. Artemis Touch 2.0 ver.
Both versions give different set of problem
WM 5.0 - My camera button and other shorcut button either cant be activated or when i press many application such as media hub, camera and audio manager pops up.
WM 6.0 Arte 2.0 - Button still having problem especially the camera. The new contact is giving problem displaying my contact even in sim card.
I also have another problem as using win vista and Win Media Device Center WMDC 6.1 from microsoft. I can connect to my M700 but cant do any flashing.
Please help me. This is my time using PDA Dopod.

Hi bro shaan, mind to share your link to download the WM6 that you are using?? another question do you encounter such problem as cannot activate the keys such as camera, comm manager and the media hub?
i tried to ask a few pda shops but they just tell me to go to dopod service centre at lowyat.

Bro Slider i have tried to flash my dopod m700 with given link to Arte Love 1.3 WEN WWE, the machine is pretty fast and stable. But i still have problem as my previous ROMs as below and sometimes all the physical buttons i.e call, camera, OK, cannot load the programs immediately.
All versions HTC original ROM, Vanilla, Artemis 2.0, and HTC Love 1.3 give different set of problem that not solved
My camera button and other shorcut button either cant be activated or when i press many application such as media hub, camera and audio manager pops up.
I also have another problem as using win vista and Win Media Device Center WMDC 6.1 from microsoft. I can connect to my M700 but cant do any flashing.
Please help me. I have reading about 100 pages in xda forum and tried a few ROM but still not up to normal running mode.

Is this ROM have the BT handset connection problem as in other WM6 ROM installed earlier??

embrio, use WinXP for flashing, not vista, about your problem with camera button and other shorcut button, I think that it`s something wrong with your device, I use my 3350 from april and have a lot of interest of diskussion about Artemis-Love on many PDA forums, and I never listen about such problem you have. I foget about how many times my 3350 was flashing.

Tinic, would you cook rom for other languages? If you don't have time or don't want to do it, please post here how to make it myself... what must be removed and what updated.
PS: Is it possible to transfer audiobooster from original WM5?

Dear Embrio... until today HTC never ever release Official WM6 for M700 (Love). I dunno why they loose interest in this wonderful Artemis Model.
Don't you all love Artemis M700 got more beside 64mb Flash ROM & 64mb RAM.. it got extra spare internal 128 MB Hard Disk... Love it!
We just try our best to deliver WM6 for M700.. by modifying P800 Official ROM.
It just not many here using M700.. its not common device... so less cooker able to cook the ROM for M700 model.
Try Meschle's latest O2 Vanilla ROM.. its quite good actually.
Try to upgrade with WindowsXP because windowsXP is proven to be the best windows so far... Vista is buggy and performance Hog... they about to release the Vista SP1 soon... stay tune on that.. about WDMC.. well lots of folks here got problem with WDMC.. is not entirely reliable in some devices.
But.. if buttons is your problems.. try to install application that able to change the way button works... i saw many of those in this forum..

Q2: I'm having trouble downloading off the HTC link, what should I do?
A2: There is a rapidshare link above, try that. If you are still having trouble PM me.
Q3: What is the difference between this version and the one released a couple of weeks ago?
A3: This is two minor revisions later - This previous release was 3.00.707.16. this is 18. Hopefully this fixed the problem some people were having with upgrading getting stuck at ~30%. EDIT: So far several people are still having this problem.
Q4: Does this ROM fix the TomTom bug involving the device code changing on each hard reset?
A4: According to a post on page 2 it does!
Q5: Is there a new SEA release?
A5: It appears HTC have re-released the same SEA rom with a new date. This seems to make sense as the problem with the original rom was partially related the 3 Australia.
Q6: Will this rom work on devices other than once branded as Dopod d810?

Q7: What is the deal with the languages?
A7: This is the World Wide English (WWE) edition which basically means it is in english. You can install this over a device which is in another language however you device will then be in english.
Q8: Will installing Hard-SPL (see Q6) void my warranty?
A8: Short answer is yet. However, you should be able to switch back to your original firmware etc prior to sending the device in for a warranty repair so you should be able to fool them.
Q9: Does this rom come with office and acrobat etc?
A9: It comes with Acrobat Reader LE and Office.
Q10: Can I read office 2007 files on my PDA with this ROM:

Work on HTC P3600?
I'm gonna be upgrading my Wizard w/ Faria WM6 on it to a P3600.
Anyone know if this ROM will work on the HTC P3600?
I'm assuming it will as my Wizard is a Qtek and the ROM is from HTC.
Any help would be great.

I'm pretty sure it will work if your phone is SP unlocked. (Can't tell you 100% though)

Is this the SEA or ANZ version?

Not sure which it is. I got if off the ANZ site so I assume either they've unified them or it is ANZ.

This is a repost of ANZ Rom, with radio shipped on ANZ before and some minor change in the OS, probably a bugfix.
Main Changes:

Removed CommManagerRes_dll.cab
All the other files seem to be the same: there are 1175 different files but as to me it is due to a new packaging.
The most interesting part, except streaming media, are the two new drivers rilgsm.dll and wavedev.dll
I'm trying to install these different files on my device... wavedev.dll seem to have cause my trinity to stuck at the animated boot screen with sound (a personal hack in the registry). After a soft reset the animated boot screen has been disabled. Rilgms.dll should be related to radio search and roaming switching, and probably is installed to support the new radio shipped. I've radio 1.46.00.11 and can't turn on the phone anymore
All the above is a mine investigation, if you think I'm wrong you can correct me. I'm open to learn more...

No, just trying to update my lasagna by hand, but it doesn't work.
To see the differences Ive extracted the two roms and made a binary compare between files..
PS: After removing these two dlls my animated splash worked again and my phone too...

Is there also a new SEA version. I don't have a Dopod device so my P3600 EMEI does not allow a download.

No, i din't made the update and you don't need to remove any dll.
If you want you can install it, if your device id supercid. But probably you will not found any difference from the one you are using, apart from streaming media that i've never used...

I cannot find a new SEA rom. They changed the ROM date in the website - D810 WM6 English Version Upgrade code (2007/07/10), but if you try to download it goes to the same file - D810_SEA_WM6_Upgrade_20070709 - released before.

Fixes TomTom bug and works on UK Orange SPV M700
Hi all,
Having installed this ROM last night, I just thought I would let you all know the following:-
1. It FIXES the TomTom bug/incompatability whereby the Device Code keeps changing each time you Hard Reset! For me, this is *the* MOST important fix.
2. It works perfectly on the UK Orange SPV M700 version of the Trinity. In fact, there is no need for SuperCID or any of that lark, just unlock the phone from Orange (using the sticky thread in the Trinity Upgrading forum) and away you go. My advice is to press the Reset button right at the end of the initial date/time/screen alignment setup to stop it installing the Extended ROM.
3. This is the ANZ (Aus/NZ) version of the ROM, but it IS WWE (World Wide English)
I've only been running it and using for a few hours, but currently, all seems good. Definitely worth trying I'd say.

After this step you can flash the "NEW Dopod d810 WM6 ROM" without the 28% error.

I got several questions:
1. Can I also install it on a P3600 with German language (I know that it is in English then, but that´s better anyway)?
2. My Triny is not branded (bought from Amazon). This won´t be a problem?
3. Is it branded then, because it´s a Dopod Version?
4. Can I still install German programs like the German Tom Tom or Langenscheidt Dictionaries or do I need new versions for WM6 and/or the English BS?
5. Is a English PDA compatible with German Outlook
6. Is also Office Mobile, Acrobat etc. onboard?
7. Will I loose my guarantee?
8. Can I go back to the official German WM5 in case of Problems?
9. Can I use this Update straight from my Vista PC or do I also need to change some dll´s?
10. Are any functions like European 3G etc. disabled, when installing this Australian version?
11. When the update stucks at a certain %, can I still update the other rom to use this update later or do I have a problem then?
