SIP no longer appears with Dialer. - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV ROM Development

Can anyone point me to a registry key that tells the Phone Keyboard to expand/open when the HTC dialer opens. It was working fine and then it spontaneously stopped appearing. The icon at bottom center is still there and I can tap it to bring it up. But I would prefer the default arrangement where it opens with the Dialer. ROM is XBMod 2.03 but I have posted it here as it is quite possible a generic setting that would be of use to any ROM. To clarify - the Phone Keyboard SIP is selected - that is not the issue. The Problem is that the dialer comes up with is minimised at the bottom.
Rather not hard reset but will do that if the answer is not obvious.

A couple of WM6 Bugs/Annoyances - Fixes?

Ok I finally decided yesterday to jump in the deep end and install WM6 on my JasJam... I ended up selecting Black Satin...
Now i have managed to get most things working but i still have a couple of bugs and annoyances that i'd like to get fixed if possible...
In the Messaging App, is it possible to change the default left soft button from delete to new message like it was in WM5? I fear i will accidentally delete messages the way it is atm, and i rarely delete messages too so i don't need it as a soft button... I have read a few people have just set a today screen soft button to new... but i don't want that... i want to change it back so i don't accidentally delete messages...
I have installed the Black Shadow Video Dialer, the hardware Video Call button doesn't work... the software shows the button in the phone program but the hardware button doesn't work? Also the Video Dialer software has made browsing the windows folder extremely slow... is there any alternative software?
Also is it possible to install the later version of the messaging app (included in Beta 2 of Black X) that splits the SMS and MMS back separate again?
the delete button is hardcoded into the new pocket outlook. however, the good news is that a confirmation dialog is displayed making it extremely dificult to accidently delete messages. I personally like this change.
re: the video call button, its rom dependant
because the default dialer skin in the black satin rom doesnt integrate video calling, the video call button doesnt work, regardless of having installed a new dialer skin which contains video call features; i use schap's, and the default dialer skin contains video calling so the button works, even now that i've installed a new dialer skin

remove sip from opera landscape and keyboard slide out

Hi all,
i did update the rom on my rhodium with the latest one from HTC.
Now,in Opera,in landscape mode, with the hardware keyboard slided out,the soft panel button appears each time in lower middle of the screen, when i type an url in the top bar.
This is very annoying,as it hides the opera middle button for tabs, whicj i need often.
In the previous rom, with hardware keyboard slided out,the sip was simply turned off,or invisible.
Does anybody know, how to get rid of the soft input panel, when the hardware keyboard is slided our,or may be in landsacpe mode?
Thanks
Y.

Very annoying.

Looking into solutions but so far I have none. Any thoughts, anyone? Thanks in advance!
i use fakesip
although its an all-or-nothing solution, it completely replaces the soft keyboard, supposedly you can switch back by selecting a different soft keyboard, but that doesnt work for me and i have to uninstall to get the soft keyboard back (which is fine for me since i never use the soft keyboard)

[Q] No Call list in dialer after 2.3.3 upgrade.

I have recently upgraded my DHD to 2.3.3 and everything seems to work just fine except for one thing.
In the dialer, the area above the buttons usually show my recent call list and if I press any numbers it shows quick contacts lookup.
After the upgrade however, this area is blank. I played a bit around with the dialer and noticed that if I press a few numbers and then delete them again, the blank area is suddently showing the contacts list again (as it is supposed to). After that it works as it normally would in the dialer.
I talked to a few others which have similar problems but we havent been able to pinpoint a pattern for why this happens.
Anyone inhere have the same problem and more importantly - anyone that knows how to fix this?
I did a normal upgrade without factory reset - one of the other guys with the problem did a factory reset as well.
If you are using a non-stock launcher (ADW / LauncherPro etc...) you must delete the shortcut from your homescreen or dock, and re-add it. Also, if you launch phone from the app drawer, it should appear normal.
How did you work that out? Very impressed! Been bugging me for days.

[Q] Keyboard stupid question - problem with "G" and "S"

When I am trying to write a message or e-mail with my language (Greek in this case) when pressing on the natural keyboard the S or the G it thinks that I am pressing the shortcut buttons, but I am in the text area trying to write..
Every other letters are fine except those which are shortcuts.
So everytime I press S for example, it goes me back to messages. And G goes me to Gmail. (And something else I don't know which shortcut is that goes to browser.. anyway.)
If I switch to English from Settings it's all fine.
It's a bug, or a configuration some where I don't even know and I can change it?
(searching menus all day...)
Not on cm7 or a normal android rom right now so I couldn't tell u the exact setting (different on each ROM) but what you're looking for here is "quick launch buttons" or "quick launch keys" and clear them all.

Click to collapse
Go to settingns/applications/quick launch and disable all the shortcuts

Does anybody know what happened to Quicklinks?

Our phone has a feature called Quicklinks, whereby if you pressed the search button plus a hardware keyboard key, you could quickly launch applications (i.e. search+e = email app).
Now, a bug in the software meant that the phone would sometimes think the search button was constantly pressed, so you would open the keyboard to answer to an SMS for example, and find yourself launching an app instead. The only workaround was to use the on-screen keyboard.
Before, in GB, this functionality could be disabled by going to Settings->Applications and disabling QuickLinks. This made the problem go away.
------
Enter ICS. The feature, with the same bug is still there, but I cannot find the QuickLinks entry in Settings->Applications. I've looked everywhere and I cannot find it.
Does anybody know where it is or how to disable it on the unusable official build of ICS?
