[HELP] HTC Diamond bricked - new piece of furniture - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV ROM Development

I used a program DiamondUnlocker and I think was for the CMDA version!
It doesn't start anymore, no boot loader, no hard reset! I can't find anything like my problem!
What can I do?

Yes, they´ll change them all.

there's not any other solution ?

is anybody working on finding the jtag points of the diamond??
that should allaw for external flashing on a bricked phone right?

no new ideas?

Short of JTAG, there's nothing you can do. But unless you're an engineer, I doubt figuring out JTAG interface will be simple.
JTAG has been done but its still in testing.
I am sorry to hear about your diamond, may it rip. You could use it as a hockey puck...
I think sending to service is your best bet. I am not sure if they will do the work under warranty, but it's worth a shot.

No one has solution for jtag for this model
we made the same mistake ==> phone killed forever.???
this is the first time that i kill a htc ??

Try sending it to HTC. They likely won't know what's wrong either as nobody in their right mind would do what you did .

yes i also need this cable (jtag)
thx

Me too, by using DiamondUnlocker for CDMA version(h**p://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=36062), I killed my diamond (gsm?)
Also I thought that there's only one HTC Diamond model, I was wrong &"#?!!!
So others users watch out!! Do not use it!

JTAG config cable setting
Here the one your looking for...
You can run from desktop.. It worked for me..
MOD EDIT.....ITEM REMOVED

Errr are you sure it's jtag config cable setting? It looks like more another SPL to me?
The device is not recognized by windows as connected(usb), so it's not working at all...
Error[260] : connection

[REQUEST] How to "damage" the touchscreen

Hello!
I have a strange request. I don't want to do nothing illegal, only use my warranty.
Let's see. I've bought a Desire Hd Vodafone branded from somebody. The person wasn't so careful as I am and i've noticed some scratches on the touchscreen. I went to Vodafone and asked some infos. The warranty cannot change my touchscreen because truely there is no defect and they asked me 110€ to change it.... So let's see.... My idea is, maybe there is some way to "damage" the touchscreen so it won't work no more and they should change it.
Somebody has got some ideas? Thankyou all!
I think if you are going to " break " your touchscreen you will allways leave traces..
And else they might say that you're not carefull enough with the handset
yes.. my idea is not to smash it or something like this. maybe giving it an overvoltage on the touchscreen with an electricity cable should work? thanks

Well, it is vibrating, isn't it? Not fully dead then.
Start looking into adb, setting your pc up with that which is probably the way you'll need to go to fix it if it is possible to fix, and wait for glevitan to show up here. He'll do so sooner or later or muikkiman (im almost sure I just killed your nick), even darunion.

I am here....I am showing up...man, you have messed the bootloader. It is a slow way to fix it...and you will have to do it yourself with the steps you will be given in the IRC channel in my signature.
Your phone is not bricked, but is very slow motion....if you leave it for about 20/25 minutes it probably will boot "normally", so you have to fix that first before doing anything. Unfortunately you won´t be able to use the Hack Kit to root the phone as It is gone from XDA....for good

Unfortunately, some fellows have shown some attitude towards the guys who are involved in the Hack Kit IRC channel and moderators seem not to care much about. I was called asshole at least twice last week....needless to say I have helped lots of guys using my time and not expecting anything for it....I DO NOT WANT DONATIONS...but from now on, I will be around and have a look at things...and I will let those who are great but do not solve the issues of people to help ´em...:crying:

Ok, let´s get things straight, the Hack Kit does not use froyo hboots or flash ENG S-OFF, so if you messed your bootloader YOU did it. Stop blaming someone else for what u have done to your device.

There´s nothing to excuse you for...but the Hack Kit is not using froyo RUUs so, there´s no chance for the messed bootloader. Do not take the motherboard change....it is not worth the pain. If you wait till I get home, I will lend u a hand, but make sure that u can access to hboot and boot even if it takes 30 minutes...

If the phone is not booting at all...then go for the motherboard...but if it is stuck in the splash, then you have to fix the bootloader. That can be fix as long as the phone boots....

update crash

Hey people,
I've got the opportunity to buy an desire.
The problem is that the phone has crashed during an update.
I won't pass the boot screen.
Can I buy this phone and make it work again?
Or is it a waist of money?
Best regards,
Sven Bakker
Hmm, just a failed update...
It can be, but it doesn't need to be...
Pvt1 device or...
A lot more than you can imagine...
What does the boot screen say? Do you have any response with the volume up down buttons. Is there any fast boot or recovery access?
Sent from my Desire
The only thing i know is that it goes to the boot screen, it shows 3 androids on skateboards.
I dont know if the volume button still Works ( i assume it does )
What do you think? Is it fixable?
It doesnt have to be the google Android. Every costum OS that makers the phone work again is welcome haha
You got to write down what's written on the bootscreen. The volume keys move cursor on the boot screen?

This is the picture of the bootscreen, this is wat the seller was giving me.
What is supose to happen when you press the volume button?

Now, seeing that the phone has a well known PVT1 motherboard it can easily be that you got a cracked device, that will eventualy work and update would be pushed after a freezer trick. However it can end up with overheating reboots.
Thanks guys, its good to hear that the phone is fixable.
Thank you for your help!
what is the difrents between a cracked device and a ''normal'' one?
One question left though,
Is it hard to fix it? haha
Thanks in advance!

yes can be fixed but like nlooooo says because its pvt1 model it could be a motherboard problem of over heating which is well known for that model. so this could be why its for sale in that state. so i personaly would not buy it. thats just my opinion

over heating motherboard = hardware problem and causes phone to bootloop and not work. now if its a failed update then probably tried an ruu or that and it failed

The guy wants to sell it for 35 euro's
But what I don't get, when the phone is in the boot screen, then the hardware must be fine, or else it wont go to that screen right?
no because bootloader uses very little power. if it was me id buy it and take a chance for 35 euro. if it works then u got a great deal if it dont then u lose 35 euro which aint that bad, thats just my opinion

Broken WiFi and Bluetooth

Hi all. My phone felt on the floor from 1,5 metres and now I get errors while trying to switch on bluetooth or wifi. I wiped all, flashed stock rom with stock boot.img and already done all can I do in terms of software modifications.. Also I deassembled it to be sure any cable is disconnected. In fact seems that all is ok . Surely is an hardware fault but I don't know where wifi and bluetooth hardware is. Can anyone help me telling me where they are ? Maybe with a photo of the internal part of the hox to indicate them.. Maybe I didn't look with attention for a disconnected cable or a broken part..
Also my cpu is unable to go in deep sleep now..
Please help me guys
