yes i already posted this in the raphael thread but no one seems to know the answer so i thought i would post here. thanks
I am using the htc T9 keyboard and i am trying to figure out how to get it to give me a list of words after the first letter is typed. as it stands right now its gives me a list of words after 3 letters. i have tried going to settings input and word completion but it does not works as i think that is for the winmo default keyboard. i have searched everywhere but i can't find the answer. thanks for the help in advance

Keyboard fix...

Hello all,
I just upgraded my 8525 to wm6 black 2.0, all went flawless, thank you very much for all envolved.
1 problem, is there a known keyboard issue, and fix. I noticed when I selected shift (to use a symbol) from the keyboard it was the wrong symbol.
Example, I hit the blue dot so I could select the colon, but I got a semi colin. The dash actually was the colon.
I hope this makes sense, is there a known issue and fix?
Thank you.
is this a joke?
you couldn't read the wiki (or do a simple search) before starting a new thread and asking a question that has been answered thousands of times already?!?!?
Mods, please ban this user and close this thread.
Sheesh easy turbo...
I did a search...
I saw no wiki...
Found no answer. Why do you got to be sucha jerk. Oh yeah and thank you for the answer.
Close the thread is fine but ask for me to be banned... I am a newbie... this is my welcome to my first post...
Here you go. It was easy to find though.
Thank you... and yes after the post above I searched again and found it. It helped narrowing the search to the correct forum.
Thanks again KarhU

You need to soft reset!
I crush you like a puny bug!
(Said with my best gap-toothed Ahnuld accent. Which, in all honesty, kinda sucks)

Will this CAB file work with the Softbank X01HT also? I'm also having the keyboard layout issue. While I did find a way to manually tweak the registry, I would rather not mess with it if this CAB can fix my issue. Any help is appreciated.
this works for me.

Full Qwerty Keyboard Lost - Lost Letters

I have seen several posts and no apparent solution for a problem where the Full Qwerty keyboard will not change from a Phone Keypad with no letters - just numbers and a p and a w
Here is the fix ...

I would put in the Wiki if I knew how

You could have just posted the fix here, rather than just the link.

That's really a good point that you have made - I wish I had thought to do that
But thanks for taking the opportunity to be show that you are obviously more intelligent than I am

£ sign on keyboard

Having done a search of the forums I have found a cab file for the HD2 which will put the £ sign as a long press on the f button but cannot find anything for android.
Does anybody know if this has been done for the android on the desire as this would make it much easier to select than having to go through to the 2nd page of the numbers screen. Or if the $ sign can be changed to £. Thanks in advance.
Hmm I get the feeling you will probably have to install a customisable keyboard
Would be as simple as editing the IME. I say simple... I don't know how to do it, but know it can be done.
Thanks for the reply,s is there anybody out there that could edit the IME as I don't even know what it is. It would be handy for UK and maybe European desire owners on the long press on the F button if we could choose between the £ and Euro sign.
Thanks Again
Oops sorry didn't read the op's message properly.
There's someone who's edited the keyboard to have a microphone icon on it. You could try contacting him and asking him if he would consider adding the £ sign in the next release?
I don't have time to search but there's a topic on it somewhere in this forum.

Help understanding tue handwriting keyboard

I am having an incredibly tough time figuring out how to use the handwriting keyboard. Can someone take a look at the attached picture and explain to me what the purpose of each labeled area is? Is anyone aware of some sort of tutorial or tips that can explain how to use this feature so that it's useful? Every time I try and use it, I end up writing partial words or typing over what i already wrote. Is there anyone out there that finds it simple and intuitive? Thanks so much!
Lol... I obviously tried to type the Subject of this thred Using the typing keyboard

Samsung official keyboard where find learned words ?

I need to access the learned words of my Samsung Keyboard, i´ve rooted my device and tried to find it, but i can´t... Anyone knows where is stored ??
You can't see all the words as a list or something, but you can delete learned words. You just need to start typing them and as soon as it pops up in the prediction area (above the keyboard) just long press on it and tap delete. This will delete the word from your personal dictionary. I hope this helps!
So many Reasons...
What a Wonderful Question?
Why, I wonder, are you trying to find these words...
Hmmm
Ok... that helped me too, but how do you stop the s7 from learning words or at least stop putting them into the auto replace box?
