guys can someone help with a link for WM calendar?
after installing 2.1 touch i had an issue with the left soft key in an appointment saying reply instead of edit. ive reflashed original wm5 rom and then vanmilla and same problem - now the calendar itself is playing up with things missing like letters (no am/pm just a & p) it only shows 5 hours in the working day
im just wondering if another calendar will help

for time, there is not pm or am on call register etc etc as well, just seems a bit strange, i re-flashed, hard reset, soft reset dunno what he problem is
the stuff you said, should be able to be fixed by settings (i.e. Flashing not required). the am/pm issue, I think it is in the regional settings. And the 5 hours working one, I think can be set in.. the Calender itself.
i tried all this, no joy, as soon as i add another rom, it all changes, but still doesnt explain why it says reply in the left soft of a calendar entry???

I'm not sure what you are trying to say, but from the looks of it, it is a WM6 and WM5 difference, nothing much you can do about it.

I think he's trying to say the the right softkey in the Calendar program is set to "Reply" instead of "Menu". Basically, he can't get to the menu now. Can that be fixed with the softkey program in settings? (I haven't explored this application fully, yet) But that doesn't sound right. I don't know how you would correct the way softkeys change within programs - just the home screen.
He may want to try to turn off his firewall and download it again. Then reflash just to make sure.

Thats the way wm6 works
edit is in menu\edit different to wm5.

your both right - menu is on the right soft key and edit is in there
i just thought it may be a problem with my rom or phone as the left soft key says reply and its not clickable. its not a big deal im not that fussy and love the software - setlled with touch 2.1 in the end. only reason i was panicking s i thought it maybe a bug or somehting and ruin my phone

Im sorry.. i thought everyone knew...
When you install the background4AllTabs, everything works fine, excet for the manila menues... like All Programs, stocks, Music Player etc and the rest which have the default white background to a height of only 640. The Touch HD has a height of 800 so this leaves a transparent gap of about 160px which is annoying because the programs and items are still lsited.. just no white background.. gives it a very dirty look... there are screenshots in another thread... but i dont have one to be able to post...

Thanks I was going to install it...downloaded before....but now that you told me of this problem I'm reconsidering it and probably I will wait for the final release then...
I tried to PM Nisse and Mun_rus.. who originally made it... and did not get an answer back from them. Seems like the community has beens tuck on this for a while (or it is not a priority). mun_rus got ill so cant really blame him...
Anyway, its times like these i knew a litte bit more to be able to manila edit the right file and change the height of the background...
Hopefully someone will come up with an answer... i dont think there will be a final release... I did wish that Nisse didnt advertise it for the TouchHD as it clearly has this problem.. although mind you.. it does work as advertised...

So are you saying.. that :
1) you have your own background in all the tabs (meaning u have installed background4alltabs)
2) When you go to All programs in Manila... you dont get a stripe on the top...
Can you please post screenshots... i have tried everything and I know there are many of us who ahve done the same.
Just read the thread a bit better now, and I think I just misunderstood. I get full pictures on all tabs, but not sure about "all programs" etc. I don't use it anymore because of the low resolution on the pictures.
So my fears are confirmed... no one knows how... and no one cares...

so it's in the home screen to.. and the text you see, is it the operator? any way too fix that so it say somthing else?
It's not very important, cause for the home screen you can put an image 800x480 with the wallpaper option in Parameters, so you just have to choose if you want the 1st version without black strip but with the bug in "All Programs" and "Music" or the 2nd version with black stripe at the top but no bug "All Programs" and "Music"

I have found that if you just take these 2 images (Assets_dialer_Normal, Assets_dialer_Pressed) from the windows folder, you can easily just take them into photoshop and then replace them on your device, I did this already and it works perfectly. Only thing is you need to use a program to replace them, such as Resco explorer, which you can download a free trial.
Now the second issue is, does anyone know what the name of the other 2 buttons are while in phone pad? They are the back button and the calls buttons, located at the bottom left and right hand sides. I want to make them black as well

I don`t know what ROM you are using but in NRG Rom`s from long time the Keypad is dark grey like black and looks very cool and also the keypad look a bit diferent than the default one so i dont know do if you have the right files and just copy over windows will work for you but if you really want this keypad i can recomend to Flash Nrg ROM

He dont need a DIALER he is talking about Keypad when you write e-mails SMS and so on so the images Asses_dialer etc are for the Manila Phone Dialer not the keyboard

Yes sorry but the post started out as Phonepad, dus I thought it was for the phone. Keyboard would be the correct word to use for this issue.
I have alos not found a solution for this one although I imagine you can do the same thing possibly?? Find the image(s) which are being used for these and update them...??

I created some phonepads myself,if you want you can create any phonepad
Its normally very easy look at this.I have to send it in a zib file otherwise it would be to big
P.S if you like it but the Assets files in your Windows directory with theTotal-commander programm ,EASY BISY
"BE CAREFUL" with overwrite the Assets files "SAFE" at first your original Assets file in case you don`t like my phonepad on you phone it looks always different on the phone as you see them on the picture

You change the repeat rate from registry
\HKCU\ControlPanel\Keybd\RepeatRate default 8->4 (or less)
Had no probl. w. double tap to zoom in Opera. You can check the Opera setup with about:config from your browser

I've tried another keyboard 2! 'fingerkeyboard' which is really nice and looks great, but it does the same thing!! last build (6.5q) worked fine and the same way as my original 6.1 rom.
Also with opera, I had alook at the config options, but could not see an option to enable double tap to zoom! I dont suppose you know a registry tweak for that aswel do ya??

Can any1 help??! is no-one else that upgraded to Bsb 6.5.1 A/S finding that texting is slower??! its not just the keyboard tho...I notice even when I'm scrolling in Opera or through my list of programmes, I flick my finger quite fast (Like I used to on the other roms) yet the screen does not keep up like it used to!! It gives me the vibration feedback on every finger stroke, but only scrolls if I move my finger abit slower!! someone who upgraded must have the same problem??! plz help..there must be a registry tweek out there sumwhere to increase the reaction speed of the screen..??

Like I said before, I think your Roms are really great and I love this new version so much that I dont even want to revert back to the un-finger friendly versions, so I think I will just wait for your diamond to get fixed and for a new update to come out!! I think I can handle it until then!! Have they said your diamond can be fixed then??? your not upgrading and abandoning your precious diamond quite yet??!
Anyways, cant wait to see what new tricks you have up your sleave! keep up the good work and thanks again for your reply and putting my mind at ease!!

i dunno they just took it at the shop and said that they would send it to SAT.. ofc if they find out that im using custom roms they wont fix it but my diamond was really DEAD (i hope )

Well, for your sake, I hope they cant so u can get the upgrade! I love the feeling of a fresh new gadget to mess around with!! for all of us who rely on and love our diamonds to bits, I hope u get it back so u can carry on making that great rom!
in the meanwhile, can u suggest a version of your rom that doesnt have the screen problem I mentioned, yet still have those nice finger friendly menu's? or maybe another rom by another developer that u can suggest?? I would really appreciate ur advise...u seem like u kno what ur talkin about! lol

hi guys.i was suffering with a lot of lag when i was writing sms with my x1.i found fix and i want to share with you.
Open Total Commander
Browse to the Windows folder
Look for "thread_sms.htm"
Hit file and go to edit
Scroll down (it's pretty short so it shouldn't be that far) and look for "count" then delete it. It's the only one in there so no need to worry about deleting the wrong one.
Save and restart the phone.that is it.i hope all the chefs will include this fix in their rom.cheers

the disadvantage with this workaround is, it does not count how nany characters we wrote in our sms. i will upload max 160 character fix soon.cheers

Umm i installed the SMS LAG FIX-160 Max.cab to fix but i didnt like it so i uninstalled now my background is grey in text and file explorer....how do i undo this and make it white agian?

Thanks for posting this. I have used it and there are slight improvements to texting with the x1. I have to say though, even after installation I still find that there are times in which my x1 still lag like crazy when I text or use MSN on it.
