If I recall correctly, there is VNC server software available on the net. So you can connect to your phone with a VNC client and you'll be able to see and control the phone's screen.

MyMobiler-v1.23 & it's free...

Here's the link: http://www.mymobiler.com/

Thanks everyone

And I keep plugging EveryWan which is also free and am finding it very useful as it has built in registry editor, file transfer program etc. and you can remote control your HD via bluetooth:

Can't say that I have tried this, but I know it has an application installer that presumably works even if the source files are on the PC...

close running programs to save battery life

is there any good program which allows you to quickly close running programs without having to go into settings?
running programs consume battery life.
SPB Pocket Plus 2.2 it is doing a good job for me
Regards,
Primoz
thanks primoz.
where can i download it from and is it free?
will it work on my mda III?
thanks again
Try here ... but unfortunately is not free

I use a piece of software called PocketNav. All this does is add a lightning bolt Icon to the top right hand side of the screen alongside the normal close and ok buttons. This allows you to click it and a drop down box appears with all running apps listed. From here you can close individual apps or close all apps.
I've attached it below, all you need do is copy it to your PocketPC somewhere (like program files\Pocketnav\), and place a shortcut to this in your startup folder (\windows\startup\) so it starts after Resets.
Hope this helps,
Dom
RetiBar
try this software http://www.mail-mobile.it/download.htm
it's free
u can also try this good freeware : "my tools" by micro cheng
RetiBar
Hi, how do I install RetiBar? It's a CAB file with two files in it (0RetiBar.000 and RETIIT~1.001).
Thx
Pocketnav is free and a brilliant simple unobtrusice piece of software that serves its purpose superbly.

Have to agree, but I can't use it anymore. I use maimaich's (I am sure I mispellt his name) contacts program and like the side effect that I can use the Red Exit key to close programs as well, this does not work with most of the task closing programs except "my tools" (so far).
Wish I knew why, because I much prefer PocketNav.
PocketNav is excellent!!! I've yet to find a better program.

Thanks, MiTULSKY, just tried RetiBar and it works great for closing programs and does not affect Maimaich's contacts program using the End key as a close for all other programs. Only wish it I could make it smaller, but it does the trick.
RetiBar
No dude! RetiBar came from lorenzo_bisi. I'm sure it will work great, BUT I STILL CAN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO INSTALL IT!

Thanks guys! I'll give them a shot.
Another question ...
I am using a service where i dial into another number to access long distance calling. Is there a way to enter the number in speed dial so that i can have the long distance call in number followed by the destination number?
Is there like a string i have to put in?
[Dial in number] # or , then [Destination Number]. Any ideas?

How can i printscreen my HD?

Hey,
ive seen people who take pictures from the inside of the HD like it using a printscreen somehow,
what program do you use?
thank you all.
There are a lot of apps that can do that.
Attached pocketscreen, see below.
Works simple.
Have fun!
With SOTY Pocket Controller-Pro ver. 6.01
MyMobiler is very good. You take the snapshots via your PC. It can also record it as video.
PocketScreen is also good (as suggested in the post above). You take the snapshots without the need of a PC.
Check that one, it's really nice and easy. Just shake your HD, and you got it.
http://www.extreme-apps.com/ShakeAndSaveHome.php
Great!
Thanks folks !!!
BTW
Shake And Save is really nice app
One thing that is kind of cool about MyMobiler, is that you can also control your phone from the PC via the mouse. You can even use the PC keyboard to type etc...
Thats nice!
ill use it too.

phwoaaarrrr!!!! just what i need (enterprise version)
One of my favorite tools, at work at least so i dont keep my phone in hand to play around.
Ive been using My Mobiler for a few years now, its a great app that allows you to control ya phone when its charging in my work desk draw, it does screen shots and supports landscape mode as well ..
I have been using MyMobiler for a while now, and it's very good! No problems whatsoever, and supports skins, so you can actually have a "real" Touch HD show up on your computer screen.
I use it mostly on work to SMS and navigate the phone.
You can use your PC mouse and keyboard for controlling your phone when this is connected, so it makes typing much faster!
Only small issue is that the skins don't work in Landscape mode very well. But it's a minor problem. Apart from that, everything works as advertised.
I have also been checking out EveryWAN, and while it seems like a powerfull software, I don't like the fact it's so big screen-wise. My mobiler is a small window I can put in the corner of my screen and it will not take up much space.

One of the appeals for EveryWan to me is the fact that it is a full screen application ......feels more like a complete application solution rather than just a small window. I also like the full tool kit including reg edit, install and task manager. The video creator is good too.
I try this app befor a long time and she work cool

I´m having a problem. I´m able to connect and see my files, etc. However I can only see in Portrait. If I turn the Blackstone in landscape, the Remote Desktop changes the orientation, however keeps the resolution. E.g.: if it is in 800x480, instead of changing for 480x800, it keeps the same resolution but in "landscape" mode.
Anyone can help me?
Thanks!
