Here are my top ten (not 3d and new, but also very nice):
1. ScummVM with DOTT, Monkey Island, etc
2. Handmark Tetris (the original one, better than kevtris but nor for free)
3. Morphgear (Snes, NES, Emulator)
4. Bejeweled 2 (fu**ing adictive)
5. Warfare inc.
6. robo (also very nice game)
7. popperZ (a bomberman clone with bluetooth-multiplayfunctions)
8. sky force
9. arvale I, II
10. Multiplayer Championship Poker (you can play poker like partypoker.com in the internet, very nice)
Hi Bubu23. I like games threads as onew could learn of a new good one, but I'm not sure that there has been any significant increase in the graphical quality of games for the PPC (without a 2700G) for a few years for us to actually try and chart - it just doesn't move on like PCs do.
As an example, my own favourite 3D game isn't new: Flux Challenge.
If we're counting ports from PC, Tomb Raider and Quake too.
Otherwise, a whole series of emulators, incluing MorphGear of course, but other console and micro emulators too, get the most use.
Oh, and EverQuest 1 - 3 I love, kep replaying every now and then, but that's on a 2003SE Blue Angel as can't get it running on WM5 onward (boo).
(Oh, and if anyone comes in with a 'Not another games thread' post, ignore them: it's just like the 'What's everyone's favourite ROM ' threads - loads of people complain, bt there's no point digging for a 6 month-old thread and resurrecting it. And the games threads and most popular ROM threads are more useful than the complainers say. )

Emulators

Is the Artemis any good with emulators for consolegames, arcadegames and such? I'm just thinking that the clockspeed of the Artemis isn't really up to par with what is needed for most emulators.
I'm going to download the ScummVM later today to relive those glorious days of lucasarts adventure games.
But I was also thinking of downloading something like Morphgear. But as I've gathered Morphgear is discontinued. Some of the modules became open source, while others remain commercial (i.e. you have to pay for them). I'd really like to know if GBA games can be played in a decent way on the Artemis. Games like fire emblem, final fantasy tactics and such...
Also, can anyone PM me a link to a site with the game files for scummvm-games. I have bought these games on my Amiga500 back in the day and I can't imagine why i would have to pay for these games all over again, just to play them on my PDA. They should just release these games for free use so we can all enjoy these gems.

generally the Artemis can run the games, the problem comes when you want to control them! the buttons dont make the greatest game pads...
Monkey Island rules haha! I've you're interested I can PM you Monkey Island 1 + 2. I'm to trying to complete the game without a WWalkthrough but it's just too hard hehe
That would be awesome. I'm betting i'll find it harder to complete it this time round to when I was 13-14 and used to playing this kind of point and click adventure games all the time. I'm gonna look and see if i can find: Sam & Max, Loom, Full Throttle, Indiana Jones, Maniac Mansion...(i'm guessing that Grim Fandango isn't playable on ScummVM).
Which coincidentally brings me to another loved series of mine back in the day...Police Quest (and also King's Quest, Space Quest, Leisure Suit Larry...). Is there an emulator out there that allows you to play these games???
=> I found a program called PocketSarien, but the latest build i found was for pocket pc 2000!! anything else out there?
Does anyone know if this build of morphgear will run on the Artemis:
Morphgear Windows Mobile - Download Version 2.4.0.9
Pocket PC devices with the Intel XScale processor. This includes devices such as the Dell Axim X5 Advanced, Dell Axim X3, and HP iPAQ 2215.
The Artemis doesn't feature said processor, so I'm curious if it can run on it.
Hey, Which version of ScummVM works on the Artemis? i'm guessing its gonna be "Windows CE ARM package" from http://www.scummvm.org/downloads.php#stable .
cheers
You're right. It's the ARM Package. I have it installed and running since yesterday.
There's a great topic about ScummVM and its games on their forum:
http://forum.scummvm.org/viewtopic.php?p=24519&sid=69406681e9cf5636123d019c275c6c5d
Even though it explains everything in detail, I just can't seem to get Lure of the Temptress working (free download on ScummVM site). I wrote the files to a specified folder on my storage card (called ScummVMGames) and when I start up ScummVM and it asks me if it should automatically scan for games, it finds nothing, even when I manually redirect it to the folder where I stored the game.
Any help would be greatly appreciated...as well as sending me some games

ok cool thanks i'll see if i can get the game to work...
Downloaded Flight Of The Amazon Queen and this one works as a charm. Very nice to play this type of games again. That absurd sense of humour found in games like Monkey Island is also present in this one and I absolutely love it. Wonder if Discworld will be playable...

any one tried any games on android???

ive been trying to get gameboid (gba emulator) working but nothing happens when i open a rom. are there more people who allready have tried this?????
btw are there more people who have tried playing other games on android
its a bit laggy with me but i dont know if it is because we dualboot android or it isnt perfect enough for these games
I'm coming from a G1, so I still have a few games I had already purchased. All my emulators (snes, gen, gba) run pretty slow, it was a little better with the overclocked build before the wifi was added, but no where near as smooth as it played on my G1 (smoothly with sound and no frame skip). I think once they get the OpenGL to work, it should run pretty smoothly, But for now, it's just a waiting game. Be patient.
i have download a newer version of gameboid and now it works but have to find how to set the buttons
i haven't tried any of the emulators in android (just use my WM ones still) but have some games from the market place that work pretty good Gem Miner, Crystal Light, Farm Frenzy (lags some) Portal Keeper, Settlers 3 and Spades Master Online i tried path of the warrior icommando and tankace didnt work
i can see gameboid works better then morphgear, ive more frames
i ve not that many games for android yet but labyrinth is damn laggy but maybe its because it uses g sensor
yes i tried this game labyrinth lite and its 3d game
did you also have very much lag with labyrinth ?????
Robo defense is a very entertaining tower defense game. It's probably my favorite game for Android.
