so I prepared a VolumeControl DLL for all of you using TF3D2
If your volume slider looks like this, you need to add this DLL @ post footer to keep it single instead of double
Just replace HTCVolumeControl.dll @ /windows/ with this one
- These are screen caps from R3PUBL1K to show how the "X" series "Line 1" icon displays
(this was just a test for the "Line 1" icon only, the others are not mine):

I really like your X Series. I'd suggest that you make a SE and Standart version like the one you made in Beta 3. I love this blue / silver windows logo.
If you consider making more versions with "more detailed & colourful icons" ... I really like the combination of blue and silver. Blue battery and earth from Beta3 were great .

I like indeed the blue windows logo :>. You could go with a SE logo version and I take the windows one .
It's just the question if gtrab wants to make several diffrent cabs with just one new icon (start logo). Alternatively we could replace the icon ourselves if gtrab publishes them and tells us what to do . They are not in the current ICO package, aren't they?

Pretty simple, just remove VistaHide and soft reset.
Tried the icons, the animation is great, the icons look good, maybe smaller than I thought.
What I would like:
1. Green SE start icon and bouncing SE wait icon included. I overwrote the shellres.192 file but I would prefer it to be integrated in your cab.
2. Red battery when low.
3. Move the signal bars up not to overlap the icon border. Or if you can't do that, cut the border where the signal bars will be displayed. It will look nicer.
4. Bigger battery icon without the numbers.

There´s nothing I can do about the signal bars being out of frame cause those bars are generated, not replaceable icons as the other ones

SO it might be better to this icon differently without the boarder? or just make a change to the icon and remove the bottom bar

sometimes it works a few hours and after that i experience the same problems...

For the ones asking for a translated version: This is not needed, it uses your normal phone language.
I have a small problem with your great blue top-bar - every icon is displayed correctly except the signal icon in idle mode which is seemed to be WM default icon (without 3D satellite antenna). Switching to airplane mode or dialing brings correct signal icon from blue top-bar.
Reinstallation doesn't help
Any thoughts?
P.S. I suppose for English version it should be notify.dll.0409.mui not notify.dll.040C.mui Am I right?

is you phon is CMDA ? if yes, signal icon use CDMA_RSSI_PPC.dll file
And i can't creatr it, because my phone is GSM, i don't have CDMA_RSSI_PPC.dll

This dll is just for the alarm icon. You can rename notify.dll.040C.mui to notify.dll.0409.mui. It should work fine.

In fact, in not CDMA phone, color of signal icon can't be change :-(
I've asked question in some forums, and all respond me white color of signal icon is the same white from wm6 background.

I'm afraid you got me wrong.
I want your signal strength icon with colored 3D satellite antenna and white bars (picture on the left) but not default WM signal strength icon (picture on the right) what I get. Everything is fine with your icon set on my phone except the signal strength icon
the icon in white problem you get i think when you change your start menu icon. If you keep the default then everything works i think. I got the same problem when using other colored top bar icons. This time i only installed the cab and didn't touch the start menu icon. Now the signal icon is correct.

Try to put shellres.192.dll attached file manually in window directory
make a backup of file before ;-)

I've installed an earlier series of your icons (from V1.50, I think) on my Polaris (P3650)
Only QVGA, so not as pretty, but they work fine and present much better than the bog-standard ones in most ROM's. They consume very little Storage, of course

The whole set was re-compiled to avoid conflicts but I am glad to hear they also work in the Polaris

You need PE Explorer to edit shellres
But it is basicaly the same (R1, R2...8 and R2...10) at least regarding icons and dialogs

It opens the file and makes it easily editable.
But when sending back to the phone it messes up the icon order and it's not working.
When skimming through the dll there seem to be some icons that do not work ..
any idea how/why this is possible?

2- Do you have your registry tweaked to re-route batt & signal icons to phcanOverbmp.DLL ??
3- Is you phcanOverbmp.DLL stock or has modded icons inside ??
(phcanOverbmp.DLL icons will override shellres.192.DLL signal/battery icons and other)
4- Have you installed any program which adds HTCvolumecontrol.DLL ??

Yes the start icon is different, but after many many hours of frustrating trial and error tests I can give you a hint:
Better make it 41x36 or it won't look OK
As an example, here I let you my own START logo for the upcoming "X" series "standard" version (non-SE) - It MUST be 41x36 to display properly

It's easy to do it yourself:
unsign shellres.192.DLL
edit the DLL with reshacker or PE explorer
START icon is no. 292 inside the DLL
go to icon 292 and replace it with your desired icon
re-sign the DLL
copy it to your /windows/ folder

Is this meant for a specific WM version?
I installed it, and while the bouncing wait icon works just fine (and looks very nice ) the rest of the icons don't work
The start menu icon is missing, as are most of the other statusbar icons (battery, network... only bluetooth icon is visible)
Also other icons seems to be messed up; settings option in the start menu suddenly has the sim-card-toolkit icon...
After uninstalling all is back to normal.
My OS version is 5.2.19608 (Build 19608.1.2.60)

I installed it, and while the bouncing wait icon works just fine (and looks very nice ) the rest of the icons don't work
The start menu icon is missing, as are most of the other statusbar icons (battery, network... only bluetooth icon is visible)
Also other icons seems to be messed up; settings option in the start menu suddenly has the sim-card-toolkit icon...
After uninstalling all is back to normal.
My OS version is 5.2.19608 (Build 19608.1.2.60)

As with any mod touching system files, You need to install SDKcerts first

It's easy once you get the proper tools, and all the hard work has already been done by other xda-devs members
Nice work, been looking to change the look of the ugly windows logos but wanted to keep the simple white icons, this did just the job. Cheers!

Is there a way to remove the square box surrounding the SE logo? I think it would look much cooler with just the circle.

It's impossible to change it because that's the way Microsoft made it
Maybe you have forgotten your stock one: take a look at the "standard" spinning windows wait cursor and you will notice it has the same white square surrounding the spinning circular windows flag...

Another n00bish question here, is the border on the square mandatory? I'm asking because PNG files support transparent background and perhaps we could use png's for the animation instead... I'm just brainstorming here.

The wait anime is a sequence of BMPs, not PNGs
You can contact akp99 or angelusz, they have been testing for transparency

I've had this idea on my mind since the very first day I got my first Xperia X1. Other battery enhancements / taskbar icons sets out there are not clearly readable, battery percentages are OK for QVGA screens but too small for our WVGA devices
This Battery enhancer displays battery levels in 10% increments with clearly readable numbers [battery font is 300% bigger than "X" series taskbar icons or FInixNOver's orignal enhancement]
Absolutely simple and white; a discrete red bar appears when battery level is under 10%
It affects ONLY the battery icon; will not replace any other icons
Based on FInixNOver's great work and tutorials
INSTRUCTIONS
Install SDKCERTS first [REQUIRED]
Copy the CAB installer to phone and click to install
NOTICES
Uninstallable, of course
Compatible with all cooked ROMs, but this set includes the original stock Sony Xperia phone canvas/SIM/PIN dialpad

Thanks gtrab that worked just fine on Touch-IT 21202 wm6.5 RC1 . At first i forgot to install the SDK Certs and soft reset, tray icons changed to the ones with the rounded squares but the battery number wouldn't show, after that i installed SDK Certs and soft reset, now the battery number is showing but the icons are back to the boring square ones. Anyway to get the rounded-square ones back?

1- I remarked "uninstallable" because some users often complaint about "not being aable to uninstall this or that"...
2- I don't know what WisBar is, and I am not sure if I can port the reg settings and icons into that app
3- Glad to see you like it; I can read my battery level status from 10 feet away now

Tested on a standard R1A SFR/France, and it works ! But just a small issue with it: when installed, it has a side effect on my G/H GSM icon. The standard icon for GSM is a small G, the standard icon for HSDPA is a small 3G or 3G+ (depends on the network).
When I use SEX1 BATTERY ENHANCER, the G becomes bigger, and I get no more 3G/3G+, but a H. I'd like to get them back, but whithout removing this app. Uninstalling just works fine for this icon.

however on initial boot the volume icon is shown as in your screenshots.
but after the phone is ready for use the volume icon reverts back to normal. as per my screen.

I bet you use manila volumecontrol which overrides the speaker icons
If you can Send me the file HTCVolumecontrol.dll I can skin it too

Same here, cannot install.
Also here. tried installing v1.1 but gives "installation unsuccessful" error.
Not tried v1.0, will it work?

The problem is NOT the taskbar button, but the missaligned battery icon
As a consolation price, let mee tell you I MADE THESE ICONS PREPARED TO SUPPORT 5% BATTERY INCREMENTS !!! Just add ethermind's driver and voila
PS: The new version will get 1% increments and ethermind's power drive included
