this is my personal panel development project.

X-Panel V1.01.09
- added battery indicator
- added signal indicator
- added first version of "XDA-DEV" Sub-Panel (portrait mode, landscape coming soon)
issues:
- this panel is based on R2A. i do only test on r3a if the rom is official released
- my code for the indicators is correct but some of them do only refresh after actions like changing the current panel, opening an window or changing scree orientation. this is because the current flash-lite/panelmanager implementation is faulty. the current flash-lite3.1 on the R2A does not redraw regions correctly. i hope this is fixed with the next ROM update.

note1: this panel does not overwrite or damage your "GrowingPanel" in any way. also you dont have to use the "GrowingPanel" and you dont have to add it to your panels - it just must be installed.
note2: the "GrowingPanel" installer does not work correctly on non-english devices. if you own a non-english device you have to edit the registry keys:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/SonyEriccson/PanelManager/Panels/GrowingPanel/
to match the location of your "program files" folder.

you can still use your "GrowingPanel" after installation of this panel.
this panel is an _additional_ panel in your panel-list. it just needs the "GrowingPanel" _installed_ because i link to one file ("GrowingPanelAPI.dll") included in the "GrowingPanel". i could simply integrate this API-file in my installer but i am not sure about the legal terms/issues. i hope SE will soon provide an "official" API for developers.

I was thinking of a "cubic" interface (sliding the thumb turns the cube) to get more info/links (a cube can contain up to 6 faces or subpanels)

Yarp, this is a nice concept. Now it would be even better if it can be made as a stand alone panel, not instead of the growing one. Why? You might ask - let me tell you. There's already three developers working on modifications for the growing panel, what if you want the growing panel itself and one of the mods? Even worse, what if you want all of them!?

maybe i was not clear enough in my previous 2 posts:
all my panels ("X-Panel" and "myFlashPanel") can be used in ADDITION to the growing panel.
they do not modify the original "GrowingPanel" in any way. you can still use it !
also i created the "myFlashPanel"-template so other developers can install and use "myFlashPanel" to modify it instead of the "GrowingPanel".

install the panel, looks nice but after about 30 - 60 secs it freezes my phone. happened twice (i have r3 panel mananger on the uk r2 rom)
because i have the r3 panel manager after i do a soft reset it would go straight to your x panel and then start to load the rest of the stuff, by the time that was done the panel would freeze again.
was able on the third time to uninstall it before it freezed the whole handset, then did a soft reset to get the phone up and running.
looks like a great panel but at the mo it seems that it will always freeze the phone

i do not use the new panel-manager until it is released by SE.
the panel works fine with the 2A panel-manager.
i will check this as soon as the 3A-ROM comes out.

i dont know anything about flash? but is it possible to restyle your panel without having the project flash file and knowledge about flash?

i am in germany and i have also "solartime" but i dont have your problem.
my panel shows the correct time like all the other panels.

Note: This is an OS only upgrade, IPL/SPL/EXTROM/RADIO will not be touched.
To install, run the RUU (.exe). This will automatically push Des's SSPL to your phone although if you have security enabled then you will need to answer "Yes" to the dialogue when it appears on your phone.

Hey Folks!
Would someone be so nice to post the dark Theme (TSK FILE). The Theme is such as beautiful! I'm bored of installing every WindowsMobile6 Image to test it.

1. There is a line of pixels at the very top of my screen that contrast with the rest.
2. The "Black" Today screen does not look like the one on your post.
Still a very snappy rom and a nice combo of apps.

Ok, that line of pixels at the top, 1 pixel wide and blue in colour is the battery meter. Tap the meter with your stylus for the option menu. You can configure the meter how you want as well as customize the colours for various battery % levels.
In regards to the theme, just reselect it in the TODAY option in settings. for some reason the background image does not show up when freshly hard resetted.

partially LVSW based,
LVSW is better than vanilla but needed some fine tuning as it was slower as compared to wmxl0.2
many customization were removed/optimized from LVSW fas well as many reg hacks were applied for performance (currently undocumented)
Congrats on your first bake that I know of. loading right now. new I woke up in the middle of the night for something. But seriously I am thinking we need one day a week which ROMS can be released to prevent people from having to flash everyday of the week.

Anobody noticed a strange behavior of the volume control? I have put in OFF about 3 times but after a while it turns back ON...tried even in PhoneAlarm...same thing...

Why is the subject called [CLOSED BETA]? I can't download the file anymore. Is it removed? Is there a problem?
This is an app to add more functionality to the power off button on our devices!
Its nothing new.. a few other applications like this can be found in the forum but i wanted to write my own
I was told this works on Touch Pro (so probably on Diamond too), Xperia1 and MAX 4G. So It must be compatible with VGA & WVGA devices!
Test it and let me know!
ERROR FIX NOTE:
It appears that there is a confilct with MobileMagic app.
so make sure if you are using MobileMagic go to Buttons tab
click on Power button (Long), Select from the drop down box Start application and assign it to Touch HD PowerOFF.exe
soft reset and you are done!
Shutdown fix temp solution:
Now shutdown works only it prompts you for confirmation.. i'll try to find
a workaround later! for now the app is usable once more!

My suggestion, please add an option to make the icons (larger would be nice) line up vertically.
I think it would be better that way for single hand operation. Otherwise to reach the left most button is a bit of a stretch (I usually hit the power button with my index finger, while my hand wrap around behind the HD, leaving my thumb free to wiggle about but that's just me).

I dont know..
i build the app using 800x480 screen size so it might display the icons off center on the 600x480 resolution
can you please test it for me?
(its in my plans later to adapt the application to qvga and vga)
for now untill i work on the app its gonna be wvga only

Icon program is no comprehensible. Like a dose of salt indefinable that the be those reebot application.

I've installed to my device before creating the app some certificate cabs that came with other applications and this might be the reason i dont get the error.
can you please install this on your device and tell me if it resolves the issue?

I would liket o start a thread for customizing tf3d..modifying it..ideas..lua script snippets..n even if ur a newbie and have a cool idea just post it here..
If it can be done..it will be done..Already whenevr i create mods loads of people help by posting bugs..helping out etc etc..Post all improvemnts that you would like to see in tf3d here!...

when ever a new rom comes up people flash it..evry rom has different control files..so mods dont work on all roms perfectly..You can all help in one way
WHENEVER you flash a new rom just copy two files from ur windows folder n post here in zip file if it hasnt already beem posted!
It will help developers make every mod compatible with every rom

ill start with this idea:
i hate the slider at the bottom of the screen. it requires too much permission to select what you want.
i recommend that as soon as you press the slider a new screen similar to the very famous 12 button action screen appears. sliding your finger over thease buttons or tabs would highlight them and releasing your finger from the highlighted TAB would select it it
should be much much faster and easier than the sliding strip at the bottom of the screen
i also think you are better off posting this in the dev&hacking forum. this really need much more attention than its ever gonna get here

gud ideas!we need more of this.i dont want to mov this thread to dev n hack caus i want this to be only for xperia n nothing else..
im not sure people will agree with the X1 only thing. i mean tf2d was ripped from htc to begin with . also, the majority of the coders dont have x1 devices
and i seriously doubt that you can enough attention from the people here only
another idea:
the favorite people slider is just stupid . the one in manilla2d or mobile shell 3 is much easier to use and more practical than this showoff screen

**Movable widgits (as was said ^^)
**Themeable Tabs (ie, a diff style calendar to the rest of the tabs
**Transparent Sliders that don't overlay the icon (but smaller) *not sure if that made sense*

I'm not sure if it is existing here at the xda...found it somewhere in the Rhodium section discussing about this...been searching it but still no luck.

This app is based on Smaberg's port of the original HTC Actionscreen.
It's activated by holding the power button (top of the phone) for 3 seconds.
The menu then shows 12 buttons which enable you to launch the shown applications.
The reason I've created this version is that the original actionscreen didn't contain the functions I need/use and I didn't like the skin.
I've improved both and decided it wouldn't hurt to share. Enjoy!

Niice! I have one issue. The calculator shortcut doesnt work for me :-(
What ROM have you got installed? Like the description sais, it points towards HTC Calculator (which I have not included, as it's seperately downloadable).
To fix it, either have it point to another calculator (registry), or install HTCCalculator (recommended).

Everything you need to see can be found in the registry location he told me in page one. You can even change the icon if you want to

Neither of these are simple. This actionscreen works by executing a file. You'll have to make some sort of executable or shortcut which does what you need it to do, and then change the registry entries for the actionscreen.

Hi girls,
I've wrote my own volume control because there were no one which had the features I needed.
You can control it with the volume keys of your device or with your finger/stylus (but it has to be opened with the volume keys first).
Supports (W)(Q)VGA (means VGA, WVGA, QVGA and WQVGA). I didn't test it on Square resolutions.
It's written in C# for .NET 3.5 so you need to have the .NET Framework 3.5 installed on your device.
The "0" in major section of the version means it is beta and could have some bugs and/or is not feature complete.
Source Code is available in VolumeKeysCS.zip.
I'm not a professional so don't be scared

- does not work with in call volume
- volume icon in taskbar opens default windows volume control

Yep, WVGA was the original resolution. Because of that I did not mention it in the changelog.
its certainly an addon in my roms as it supports wm6.5.3.
1st is dat on installation, i hav to go to volume key settings and then activate it from there. cant is be activated immediately after installation.
2nd when i changed the vol mode from on to vibrate to silent, i noticed that the tackbar icon didnt change.. is dat a bug?
Will definitely try if it works with wp 6.5.3 as reported above

#2 definitly seems to be a bug, the icon doesnt change but the phone is really silent/on vibrate
Another thing, which isnt really a bug but i noticed that if you just slide your finger up and it goes off the volume bar, it doesnt save the volume as max, but where you started 'sliding' it. It does the same thing with sliding down.
Not sure if this is a very good explanation of the problem, hope you know what i mean.
Seriously though, this is great, nice minimalistic design, non-intrusive and blends in nicely with manila. Ill definitly be using this from now on!
Oh and maybe make it work for landscape? Not sure if you need it, just toying with ideas here.. Great work man
This is a great little program. Good job. Having more then 5 volume levels is great. The only things I see that need worked on are in-call volume adjustment (does not seem to do anything on my Diamond/6.5.3 SYS) and the aforementioned taskbar icon. I really like the UI you've used. You'd think microsoft could come up with something so simple .
edit - also, on VGA, the vibrate button does not seem to register presses.

yes i too have noticed the lag in receiving calls.
otherwise a neat effort and an app much needed for current builds.

Would you mind posting a EVK installation package? I'm using KitchenPackageUpdater-1.12a to import cab but I can't get the icons in Start Menu... but it works out of the box, at least!

Hi, just wanted to say thank you for this great little app.
It's been really useful. The only thing I would like to see added is
support for the standard htc youtube app. Since it doesn't seem to work well together. Volume goes from nothing to loud and back with no
small volume steps in between. Although these small steps do show in your app it doesn't effect the volume like it should.
Looking forward to future updates.

You just need to edit your app.dat to get it to show up in the start menu. When I made the cab into an EXT, the .lnk shortcuts were going to /windows/start menu when they should be going to /windows/start menu/programs. That is probably why everything worked, but you were unable to see the shortcuts in the start menu. I have attached an EXT package that should work, but I have not tested it.
