Best games for WM - DEATH RALLY

Hey guys.
Did you know that dos game called Death Rally?
I looked the entire web to find out if anyone has ported it to WM but didnt get much success.
Do you guys know something about it?
And by the way, which are the best WM games?
Jonathan
Dude, I hear you. Still have the dos version by any change, and willing to attach / upload somewhere? You'll make me a happy man.
game
pm me if you want that game! is it playable on touch hd?
Well, there is a Game called "Death Drive" for WM.
http://freewareppc.com/games/deathdrive.shtml
But I don't think you can play it on th HD, because it needs a keypad.
Xtrakt
The best Game for Touch HD is Xtrakt! A free 3D game made for the Xperia, but it works perfectly on the HD.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=497243
Azgard Defence is nice to but it's not for free.
I don't think a WM version of Death Rally exists, but you could try running it with an emulator. This way could work, if there wasn't the problem with the missing Dpad, and not to mention problems with the screen resolution.
Xtrakt & NFS Undercover (g-sensor version) are prob best games for HD.
Yeah I tried NFS Undercover (Gsensor enabled version) recently and I love it, it is simply the best game I ever played on my HD (including Xtract).

I don't think this is the issue.
Iplay alot of games on my brothers Iphone that does not use multi-touch.
It is not fair that we don't have such cool games.
this is the only reason that I would want Ipod touch or an Iphone. (only for the games)
for the rest, I will stick to my HD
Well, due to the hardware differences, as well as some hardware manufacturers that I won't name (Qualcomm, oops i did) not opening their documents for developers.
Unless there is an optimised universal library for games, that runs the same on all hardware, (like Direct X), you won't see much games like you see on iphones, since apple have the same hardware on all their device.
hi!
can you plz pm me the link for nfs underground?
thanx a lot!

Do you think its a Windows Mobile issue or is it just the hardware of our HD's that doesn't support multi-touch?
I agree....NFS and Xtrakt are nice looking games, but they can't come close to the iPhone gaming experience. There is a huge difference between iPhone and our Touch HD's when it comes to game graphics and touch sensivity.

I agree.... only reason = GAMES, but I think you can better buy a PSP or other portable console for playing games.

Gameloft's games.

Hey everyone!
Has anyone had a chance to try out some Gameloft games like N.O.V.A or Dungeon hunter?
I kind of want to buy dungeon hunter, but I'm unsure which version to select on their store since they don't list the SGS. I suppose the HTC Desire version should work, but was wondering if someone else had already tried it...
Nova works and is a good game but I heard that dungeon hunter does not work on our phones, that and the mafia gangster one both been tried and both dont work.
I have installed lets golf and of course have asphalt, both excellent games work perfectly, I have also bought the gangster one but will be downloading tonite when i get home over wifi, will update then.
I installed Real Football 10, but it's too fast >_<. Almost impossible to play. Seems like Gameloft hasn't put an FPS restriction on the game, and it's running at double/triple the FPS of Nexus One / Desire
Perfectly works:
Lets golf
Hero of sparta
Asphalt 5
Dungeon hunter
Sandstorm
Assasins creed
Hawx

Asphalt 5 for Samsung Galaxy works
Assassin's Creed for Samsung Galaxy works
Dungeon Hunter for the Motorola Droid works
Nova for the Motorola Droid works
Gangstar for Nexus didn't work.
Gangstar for Motorola Droid works.
Gangster works bought droid version

Bought the Desire version of Dungeon Hunter, runs beautifully =)
about Hawx this one doesn't work perfect in my eyes, you have to use the virtual pad to fly.

Well it's possible, becouse i always use virtual buttons instead of this motion control (what it's called properly?).

Dungeon Hunter works perfectly, as does Nova. Really enjoying both of them -played DH through once already and just started again with a different class. I quite fancy the golf one too but really I want EA to get their fingers out their bums and make Tiger Woods for android. It's been my staple phone golf game for 3 or 4 years now and I'd love to see what they could do with it on this thing...
Anyone got an opinion on whether the golf one is any good or not?
I know this game is not from Gameloft... but you should try Heavy Gunner 3D by Com2uS

omg omg omg, I got NOVA, and it's awesome! But I also really really want Sandstorm! Cant' find it!

Accelerometer ? its working for me, only thing is the game has no multi touch. Probably my fav game tho =o
why i cant find all the games from gameloft in market??
im using JG5 firmware..
Because 90% of them arnt on the market =p
Need to visit wap.gameloft.com to purchase/download
i think all gameloft games for android would work on our phone. i have tried 5 of them, 6 including asphalt, and all work fine. i chose motorola milestone version.
Let's Golf is awesome! shameless Everybody's Golf rip off, but the swing meter is a lot more forgiving on this.
I downloaded the trial of Ashphalt 5 and for some reason the Samsung Apps app updated it to the full version for free!
Asphalt 5 is for free for all Galaxy owner. It is listed in “samsung apps“ if you uninstall it

EMULATORS

Hi people
I been trying out all sorts of different emulators to find ones which best suit the phone. I come to a conclusion that emulators for super nintendo and sega megadrive and anything else which is based off of 4 button and d pad controllers are the best playable on phones. obviously people will want to try and get the most up to date graphic games emulators but i found without good game play these do not matter. but i was hoping that everyone who uses emulator could share their own opinions in this thread for people who are looking for the answers that myself and others once did
i cant seem to find a sega master system emulator to work on sgs2 if anyone knows of one please let me know. snes9x ex is great for super nintendo and its totally free from the market
Im using 2 emulators now,
FPSe for PlayStation 1
N64oid for Nintendo 64
They both work well, though not perfect. On the FPSe I play Final Fantasy VIII, Tekken 3, Tony Hawk 3.. Quake 2 is weird to play, Metal Gear Solid doesnt work for me.
On N64oid I play Zelda Ocorina of time, which again works but not perfect. Some graphical glitches and sometimes crashes. I also tried Mario 64, Zelda Majoras Mask. Super smash bros doesnt work
So overall they are great, but I really hope the devs will start optimizing these emulators for the Galaxy S II!
Oh, and good thread. There should be a big thread emulators in general.. At least. Maybe seperate thread for each emulator.

hi yh i have used both them and my problem is the lack of controls abilty. not so practical to use the games to their full playability. and yes totally agree with graphic issues. i was so happy to get zelda on my phone but the graphic glitches where far to annoying. my fav is snes games. they most practical but i cant find a sega mastersytem one to work

For me it's not so much the system but the game. For example Mario Kart on snes is not great as it's awkward to use the "bumper" buttons to jump round corners. Whereas Diablo on PSX works perfectly control-wise.
It's all just trial and error to see how controls translate to touch screen devices.

I'm on VillainROM 1.1 (KE7) so maybe that's the difference (I've also got Chainfire3D installed)?
Controls are actually pretty good and it's quite playable. No lag or anything. It's more fun than any game Gameloft makes that's for sure
*accidentally thanked you too, lol. you can keep that *

what games are compatible with Chainfire3D

Hello all,
I would like to play all of the awesome new titles coming out but it seems like NONE of them are compatible with my shinny new GS2. I know the GS2 has the juice to run these games flawlessly but their simply not available and don't work... Could someone help me out and let me know if it is possible to play these games with Chainfire 3D?
Shadowgun
9MM
Modern Combat 2 (3 when it is released..)
GT Racing
It is simply rediculas we own the most powerful device on the market and we can't play the best games because the devs are too lazy to follow standards
Well I've been fighting with this phone since day one to get these to work... I have the nvdia plug in and i changed the market settings and still nothing. I know i can go off market and get them... But i prefer to pay the devs for their apps.

I haven't tried any DS emulators, but I think it's probably best to leave that to an actual DS Lite or XL with an Acekard 2i for all the games you need.
I love the Xperia Play for GBA games, though!
I actually started revisiting my DS Lite usage, and bought a DS XL for cheap, and the Acekard 2i plays all the games on it flawlessly.
Edit: Sorry, the reason I say it's probably best to leave it to an actual DS is that our phone doesn't have 2 screens!
Too slow

I here DS emulation is a tad slow on all devices. And the guy above's comment is true too. Keep looking!, and let us know how it goes. Also have you tried installing a custom rom to boost up the speed of the emulator?
Ive tried dsdroid and dsoid. Pokemon is slow on both for xplay but it runs a little faster on my nexus 10. But with tablets it stretches out the game so both ways are no go. On xplay all ds emulators are slow. I've tried at least 3 or 4. You'll need a higher end device and even then you won't be able to play very smooth and without sound. But maybe within a year it will work better since most new devices are a lot more powerful
