I have recently purchased a new O2 XDA Exec.
I would like to load up the JasJar firmware onto my XDA so that I wouldn't have any O2 software on it. As I am new to all this, would it be possible to help me work out how to do this step by step.

Why do you want to do this, the Jasjar rom is as buggy as hell.
True. I agree. I had an MDA Pro, rigged it with a Jasjar rom, and I now have an Exec, and I would be inclined to say that even the MDA Pro rom is more stable than the Jasjar one.
Well the thing is I don't really want any specific phone software on my phone, I just want windows mobile 5, but still being able to phone people and view webpages on my 3g connection. I thought that is what the jasjar rom is, is there a way of just having windows moible 5 and non of the o2 stuff at all, that inculdes the o2 icon at the top of the menu.
I'd go for corporate mode then. Just select corporate and type 0506 before the timer runs out.

hard reset ur exec and opt for corporate mode ( pin no 0506) while customisation is going on and before timer runs out, as mentioned by another member.
then
U will be hunting down forums to get a O2 battery meter as it will remove all o2 stuff

hey guys, sorry for posting so many previous replies, yer, I got it to work, see I have been using a different code, the 5210 code, and that coperate code still has all the o2 stuff however the 0506 cooperate code doens't have any of that, thanks for the help guys, very much appriciated.

I got an extremely rare windows mobile 5 pda-phone BenQ-Siemens P51 to my hands from my friend, whos father worked in Siemens during the BenQ-Siemens bankrupt.
Cool phone, bit too big tho, pretty cool functions, GPS, 1,3 mpx camera etc... But...
ITS ALL IN TAIWANESE LANGUAGE! Some kind of beta-prototype which works perfectly but splash screen is "Evaluation Only" . I don't think that this affects any way to the performance.
So i kindly ask you for advice:
Is it possible to upgrade this brilliant phone to new OS, English version of the crossbow beta. I've downloaded crossbow, tried to patch it with a program called ROMUpgradeUt.exe, but the upgrade doesn't end successfully. An error message appears to the screen, think it was #101 or #201. Im having problems sometimes with activesync when the phone is recognized as 'usb device' and active sync doesnt recognize it then. Some other times when i boot with usb in the P51, active sync pairs it and ican syncronize.
I Hope that somebody could kindly help me, since im not in the mood for throwing away hardware this expensive. I just want to get rid of the taiwanese language and start using this as a PHONE.
So please, if possible could give me specific instructions how to upgrade OS to different language.

Hi guys have recently had enough of tmobile and wanted to know how to do the following, any help would be gratefully appreciated and thanks in advance for any help given.
1) To change the ROM on the unit so running wm5 only (as on a unlocked phone e.g. HTC Tytn).

2) Is there anyone who has the ROM for the qtek 9000 on the 3 network based in the UK, i have a 3 contract that id like to use in my vario II as a 3 device, as the network only has the qtek 9000 currently i am wondering if this would transfer over onto my vario II?
If so any chance of "planet 3" working on the device as i want to be able to use all services.

i've had my t-mobile mda vario 2 for over 8 months now got it second hand was working great untill this morning would load passed windows mobile 6.1 screen i've read alot of the post on this site and couldnt fine any help i've done a soft and hard reset i've even try to upload a new rom on to the phone but it didnt work wouldnt load and still not loading past the windows mobile screen if anyone out there can help would be greatful the wife moanin at me about it
