Update: 25/04/2010 Sorry everyone due to my current heavy workload, I just don't have the time to focus on this, so with that in mind I'm putting development on HOLD until I have ample free time to resume again!
In the mean time if anyone else want's to continue development with this please feel free to do so!:
Update 15/02/10: Ok guys after putting up the screenshot of the V6 Final with the new battery icon, I can see some of you don't like it therefore I have decided to attach V6 TEST 5 so that you can actually see how the icons really look on the device because IMHO the screenshot doesn't do justice to the new battery icons!
If after V6 TEST 5 the general consensus is that the new battery icon is a NO, then for the Final release I will revert to the V5 Battery Icon and the numerical battery icon!
Also this time when you install the V6 Test 5 cab the START text will be displayed, if you don't wont that then install attached NO START Text patch!
P.S> This is only for GSM not compatible with CDMA!
Although V6 is for HD2 users, I think it should be compatible for any WVGA Devices using WWE ROM's so it should work on Touch HD, TP2 and Diamond 2.

P.S. For those who have the battery percentage not in sync with your notification manager i.e. there is a discrepency of 1% then do the following:
go to registry HKLM\Security\ResOver\Bitmaps and change the DWORD value of "BatteryIconsLevels" from 101 to 102 and soft reset, battery level will now be in sync with system battery monitor orinstall the attached cab fix!

Known issue with some ROM’s when installing this taskbar:
The start logo, signal and other icons do not change this is because this taskbar works well with WWE ROM’s that call on the taskbar file shellres.192.dll in windows folder for these icons, if you are using a ROM that calls on shellres.192.dll.0409.mui if it’s English ordepending on the language you have on your ROM that 0409 number could be different example 0410 etc...then not all the icon’s will change!!!
This can be fixed after installing this taskbar go to windows folder of your device and you should see these 2 files shellres.192.dll and shellres.192.dll.0409.mui first rename shellres.192.dll.0409.mui toshellres.192.dll.0409.mui_z andthenrename the shellres.192.dll to shellres.192.dll.0409.mui in the windows folder of your device using either Total Commander or Resco File explorer soft reset that should do the trick! If this sounds complicated then post here with the name of that file in the windows folder of your device example shellres.192.dll.0409.mui or whatever it is then I can post a cab fix here!

As I use WM 6.5 Rom on my HD so sorry this version of Brians Taskbar is only for WM 6.5 ROM so will not work Dutty's WM 6.1 v3.3, the taskbar .dlls files on WM 6.5 are different from WM 6.1!!
I'll see if I still have the old Brians WM 6.1 Taskbar Icons on my laptop no promises but I'll try to fix the icons and will post it here!

Ok piccolopunto I managed to find the old Brians WM 6.1 Taskbar files and have edited the Start, OK and X buttons! not 100% sure if it will work so can you please test and report back! many thanks!

Thanks for testing it! just want to clarify does it install ok and you get graphic icon errors? or it just does not install at all?
Sorry piccolopunto if I was using a WM 6.1 rom I know I could get to the root of the problem and fix it!!
I would recommend you to try a WM 6.5 rom trust me it's now a lot stable then a few months ago it's comea long since then! I'm using miri's v14 wm 6.5 with no problems at all and this is someone who would religously would use only Dutty's ROM's on a daily base not to long ago!!

Palm SMS threader - got it from a very popular thread here. I didn't tested it yet, because there seems te be a new version comming out soon.
PocketRaR - I guess you know what this is. Now it's also possible to open .rar files
Remote Desktop - Somthing I got from wmblack.info. I don't use it.
Softkey Changer - Seems like a usefull tool, haven't had the time to use it.

I've read something about it while following the latest rom realeases. Are you the only one who had this problem? I did a search but can't find anything about a "full" camera cab. There are a lot of threads with fixes and patches for other devices. The rom is just released so I suggest to wait, someone will figure it out. Maybe you can request the camera cab file from one of the cooked roms.

Ok, i found problem that makes crash camera!
With last rom htc wwe Wm6 from clean install (Rom:3.54.255.3/ radio 1.48.00.10):
if install X-button 1.51 (build30229) > restart and try open camera: "UNABLE TO START CAMERA".
unistall app X, restart but camera not open!!!! > setting and enable task manager , enable "end program by tapping X" restart and camera Start!

Hi Evenstar,
Tnx for the reply. About the error: try right click - save target as... and than you will get the possibility to save the cab onto your desktop. Works fine for me.
It's not the cab that's being downloaded - it's the error html file but renamed to the same as the cab - there is a slash in the link name which will be giving you a problem...

I too would love this application. Also, I am looking for the screenshot application that a few of the rom cookers have included (but isnt in vp3g's)

How do I add more city's too TF3D2?
1. Disable Touchflo
2. Find file 2330fc3c_manila in Windows and copy to desktop.
3. Right click and untick "Read Only"
4. Execute sqliteadmin.exe and go to Database\Open and set file type to "All"
5. Point it to the 2330fc3c_manila file you copied to your desktop (its always a good idea to save the original file somewhere as backup)
6. Once the file loads you will see a folder tree on the left. Expand Cities, then Fields and double click on cityname
7. On the right side, find a city that is near you (in the same time zone) that you want to replace with your custom city. ie, I want San Jacinto, CA. so I replaced San Jose CA because the spelling is similar. You will edit only the city name in 2 different fields, one for the name and one for the accuweather code. Make sure you are very accurate or it will not work, uppercase, lower case and spelling must be correct.
8. Once you've edited the file. Right click and set it back to "read only and copy it back to your mobile's Windows directory, reenable TF3D and you should be able to select and update your custom city.
Once you have added your city, you can go to the home tab, hit the clock and add your city in World Clock, this will enable your weather to display in your calendar tab under Today.

When I play a "captured video" in album, after it's done it come with an report there says this:

I've installed an earlier series of your icons (from V1.50, I think) on my Polaris (P3650)
Only QVGA, so not as pretty, but they work fine and present much better than the bog-standard ones in most ROM's. They consume very little Storage, of course
Great work! Nice.
The whole set was re-compiled to avoid conflicts but I am glad to hear they also work in the Polaris

You need PE Explorer to edit shellres
But it is basicaly the same (R1, R2...8 and R2...10) at least regarding icons and dialogs

It opens the file and makes it easily editable.
But when sending back to the phone it messes up the icon order and it's not working.
When skimming through the dll there seem to be some icons that do not work ..
any idea how/why this is possible?
have attached the original and my version to see if it makes more sense to somebody else..

2- Do you have your registry tweaked to re-route batt & signal icons to phcanOverbmp.DLL ??
3- Is you phcanOverbmp.DLL stock or has modded icons inside ??
(phcanOverbmp.DLL icons will override shellres.192.DLL signal/battery icons and other)
4- Have you installed any program which adds HTCvolumecontrol.DLL ??

Yes the start icon is different, but after many many hours of frustrating trial and error tests I can give you a hint:
Better make it 41x36 or it won't look OK
As an example, here I let you my own START logo for the upcoming "X" series "standard" version (non-SE) - It MUST be 41x36 to display properly

No, I created a new set of battery icons for this one
Why ??
Well: I wanted even more clear numbers, and I also wanted to get rid of the "battery" concept in favour of a growing-bars chart (to match the signal strength icon)
I have tested it at a glance and at certain distance, and this new one not only looks better (IMHO) with the Sony Ericsson-esque font for the battery numbers, but it is indeed a lot more easy to read, even at a several feet

(well: I also cooked other +/- 100 WM6.5 icons inside phcanOverbmp too)

yes they will be updated soon: I am working on 1% for the X series (which means creating 90 more icons, but it's on its way)

Are you talking about a) the stock icons or b) the SEX1 Batt Enhancer icons ??
a) If you have not installed any previous taskbar skin before, then you don't have to uninstall anything
Just install SDKcerts first (copy the CAB to your device and click to install), then install this skin/app and there you go
b) start->settings->systeem->Remove programs

i have a fresh install with no mods to this area, do i stiill need to complete this stage?
This taskbar is my mod from original Bilbobrian's (Brian's) one.
I started to edit it for fun and to fit my own taste but I found out that my mods liked to many people so I made this taskbar specially
for Xannytech's GRID EVO rom line and I decided to post it.
I totally redesigned the battery level indicators, messaging, volume, roaming, gps, red WiFi if not connected, CDMA and many other and added
some new icons like "3G+" and the 4 top left you can see in the images below.

VERSION 28011
This taskbar is made from scratch with OS 28011 files. It SHOULD preserve a relative backward compatibility, so it SHOULD work at least from OS28011 back to OS23081 (hope....), or at least it should work with the latest OSes.
Feel free to test it (if you want to...) and report any issue, so I can update the infos about the compatibility.
In this 28011 version I re-designed the 6 bottom right icons (img below) because HTC makes no difference between SMS and MMS, so i think its most appropriate to assign a generic "media" icon instead a specific "sms" icon that in case of MMS it's not good.....so I changed these icons. I also replaced the old "?" icon with the 6th icon bottom right, it seems fine to me.
I also added all the necessary REGS inside the cab for certification and battery levels, but installing first the "sdkcert.cab" it's not so bad....it's still the safest way.

VERSION 218xx
This version is the same of 23081 -> 28004 one, but works on OSes 218xx , it means 21864, 21869, 21872, 21876, 21882 and so on. It works fine in 23016 as well.
As you can see I made some little variation for the "Start" icon. I made 2 *.zip files with inside the sets A-B (A1, A2, B1, B2) and C-D (C1, C2, D1, D2).
Inside each *.zip you can find the NO_START Patch cab and the sdkcert cab, to provide all you could need.
All the sets are with "Start" text, but installing the NO_START Patch you get rid of this text. Sorry if I made a little more difficult, but it's better to have 8 sets and a patch rather than having 16 sets!!!
Many many thanks to my good friend cerato for quickly providing me a cab made by himself to be used as the base for these 218xx versions.

I picked up a version "Brians BW no start dafunk_mod ITA.cab" from another thread, and I'm really digging it -- appears to work fine on my 21864 ROM, not sure what differences there are from ITA to WWE
I've tried the other variants posted here, but they don't have the HTC Start Icon, which is what I really like about this one... which brings me to the question: Do you have a WWE version (compatible w/21864) including the HTC Start Icon that really does manage to remove the "Start" text??? that would be the PERFECT taskbar!!!

The message "Start" You can remove it or
change it as and whenever you want! Enough these three programs and found them here:

Thanks for a very nice taskbar...
But...I'm missing the wi-fi icon...
I use it alot and its nice to see if you are connected.
One request...can you make one with more colors? Like red wi-fi icon when not connected, yellow when finding network and green when connected.
same för the mobile network and bluetooth...Just a request.

@gwbard....Mate, can you privide me your "shellres.dll.0409.mui" file? I can edit it and get rid of the "Start" text....unless you already did it with the help of antoniomistretta
However guys, I'm very happy to see that the taskbar likes to many people and the positive comments specially from grzegorz10, gfreek and spike are much more positive then I expected and are giving to me a positive input.
