Brando UltraClear Screen Protector for HTC Snap now available - Dash 3G, Snap Accessories

Here.
I have an UltraClear protector for my Vox - I would agree with the numerous comments elsewhere on this forum that these screen protectors are excellent.
EDIT: Just received my protector today, with the usual excellent speedy service from Hong Kong (to the UK in this case). I'm very happy with it - fits perfectly and to the usual Brando high standard.

Where can I buy one for myself ?
Can I know where can I but iy ?

I'm also looking for a screen protector for this phone but I'm not sure if the Brando will fit. The link you've posted says it's for the HTC S511 which is supposed to be this phone, http://www.navigadget.com/wp-content/postimages/2009/06/sprint-htc-snap-s511.jpg.
I have the HTC Snap S521 which is this phone, http://www.letsgodigital.org/images/artikelen/681/htc-snap.jpg.
Both seem to be known as HTC Snap, could you please tell me which phone you have and whether the screen protector covers the whole screen and if you need to cut the screen protector to fit the screen.

Sorry for the slow reply. I have the same device as you - i.e. the one shown at http://www.letsgodigital.org/images/artikelen/681/htc-snap.jpg.
I ordered the screen protector from Brando at the link given above. It fits the device perfectly, covers the entire glass screen area (i.e. including the whole area beyond where the actual pixels of the screen stop) and does not require any cutting. Delivery is fast from Hong Kong and it's easy to apply - I'm very happy with it.
There does appear to be some confusion with the various different versions of the device around - I just had to return a case which didn't fit properly.

Thanks for replying. Great to hear that it fits perfectly I'm going to order one as soon as possible.
I'm not sure what kind of case you are looking for. The device has almost the same measurements as the iPhone. I have bought this one and it fits perfectly, http://www.crumpler.nl/?page=details&product_id=TCC-003&sid=97cc53d0a0cc21c3bd716da439427c1b .

Received my Brando protector today, it is a perfect fit! Thanks for the link.

can someone post the picture?

I have the Brando UltraClear installed, along with the Talkie Tech case. Great combo!

Do you guys know if it also fits the Ozone?
Thanks

Where can I get a good screen protector?

Hi, my device is HTC Cingular 8525. I want to get a screen protector film. I do have one now pushed on my phone, but its too cheap as I can see scrathes I made on it after one week use. I want get a new better one that doesn't have such kind of problem. I already look a lot of products. ZAGG's InvisibleShield ones seem good but I don't think buying a film for 15 dollars when my phone only worth 100 dollars is a good idea. Also I found on Ebay some item ask 10$ including shippment, but I don't know whether they are good. Therefore I want to ask: Anyone here has any recommendation? (Website links, keywords, ebay seller name, all welcomed) I want a screen protector totally charges below $10 with a reasonable protection against scrathes (both screen and film itself should be okay with scrathes made by stylus pen in normal use)
Proporta. One word.
Excellent - except for very HighRes devices...as you see the grain there. However, generally, dont expect to get more than 3 to 6 months out of such a thing.
I've always liked ClearTouch Anti-Glare ($13) on my Hermes!
To me... this is the best one....

sounds a lot like InvizibleShield http://www.zagg.com/invisibleshield I've had one on my touch pro and it survived everything i threw in my pocket. No scratches or marks on my screen. The full body skin was decent, corners started to come away after a few months use and i was about to send in for a replacement as they also have lifetime warranties when i got an upgrade to the touch pro 2
On ebay there are also numerous protectors to be found
try 3m vikuiti screen protectors
someone here said they were good:

I have only Screen Protectors from Brando,a little bit more Expensive, but a lot Better!
I work as a Welder,so for me it´s important to have a Strong Surface because of all the Metal Dirt from my Work
Shield Skins are nice too,but i am from Germany so I couldn´t get the Shield Skins anywhere !

I like using screen protectors on my phone due to the fact it helps protect the LCD screen from dirt/dust and even if you dropped it screen first. Heads up don't get the mirror screen protector, they are hard to keep clean and it leaves your hand prints all over. I see it is that the above-linked screen protector is so cheap that it's worth a shot, and it means you don't have to worry about being too careful where you keep your Phone Touch. I'm definitely glad I have it. Just make sure that you take the time to affix it. Check this website: Uxsight.com
Hello
The "first generation" of screen protectors were made from very thin films based on the concept that an extra layer between the two surfaces (screen and stylus) would provide the needed protection to prolong the life of the device. These screen protectors came (and still come) in packs of 10 to 20 protectors and are hand-cut by the end consumer to fit the specific device. Such screen protectors, while offering extra protection, did not completely fill the need in the marketplace. They peeled up easily and they scratched almost as easily as the screens, causing the protector to be replaced often.
I have seen some good reviews of the ViewGuard Anti-Glare Matte Screen Protector online. What do you guys think?

Screen + Body Protector ?

I was trying to find screen protector for HTC aria and all i found is from ebay. Zagg invisible shield dont even have it yet
On the zagging you could order the hd mini and cut for the optical
being a user of zagg on previous phones i can't imagine it playing very nice with a touchscreen.
Screen + Protector?
Try Amazon.com the screen protector product is made by Amzer for the HTC Aria.
I am a new user so I can't post the link.
I just purchased the screen protector from AT&T and the edges on all 4 corners protrude ... when I put the back case back on it pushed each corner up.
Has anyone else had problems with the AT&T protectors?

Keep in mind that the Amzer protectors don't ship until 7/13 (according to their website).
Me? I'll probably go the HD Mini protector + hole punch DIY route that others are suggesting. Too many opportunities to scuff up my screen with kids in the house.

Corporate Dog
I have the same problem with the screen protectors I got when I bought my Aria. I will apply another one tomorrow and cut the edges before I apply.
Zagg are great for touch screen
I have been using Zagg's stuff on my old iPhone and my wife's iPhone and they worked great. I actually prefer the feel with the invisible shield applied. I am bummed that they don't have one that is designed for the Aria yet. Anyone actually tried the HD mini one with success?
I got the Amzer® Rubberized Black Snap On Crystal Hard Case for HTC Aria. It doesn't ship 'till 7/13, but that's only 2 weeks, so I can live with that. I got this case because it's like a soft/hard case, and I think that will work better than an all-hard or an all-soft case. Then I got a Gadget Guard screen protector. I was originally going to get an Amzer screen protector, but I read reviews saying Amzer's screen protectors are really bad. Hopefully, their cases will be okay. This is the only company so far I've seen that are making cases for HTC Aria. I didn't know what AT&T had because I bought mine at Best Buy. Btw, from Best Buy, you don't need to do the rebates, because they already include it in their price.
as for the screen protector i got a package of 4 universal screen protectors
from there I took a hole punch to make a whole for the optical button then applied the screen protector to the phone without the case and trimmed it with a razor blade.

Zagg has one up on their site now. Just ordered mine.
Figure it's time to star contributing /something/ here, instead of just lurking.
zagg is now selling screen protector, or full body protectors
Edit... aww eff someone beat me to it... same reasoning as well.... sigh... haha
Has anyone ever used the Phantom Skinz?
I briefly tried a Zagg Invisible Shield (invisible my ass) on my previous phone and it made the screen noticeably less clear and it was very hard to clean pocket lint off of it because it was so grippy.

I used to use them on all my blackberrys. You just dip them in water and apply it to your device. To me they all look the same, I would say that phantom is not as thick as zagg but performs just as well.
Does anyone have feedback on the zagg cover for the back of the aria? I am surprised that they even make it since its got a rubberized type coating. The screen protector is a must do, but the back I cant see for the aria.
Of course they come out with the specific cover days after I buy a different one and cut to fit. Dohhhhhhhhh!
Another thumbs up for Phantomskins. Easy ordering, fast shipping, easy installation.
For the first 24hrs or so, (Dry-ish california weather) the screen touch sensation is a bit grippy, but after a day or so it becomes slick again.
I ordered front only as I see no need to protect the back, and if there is a very nice case one day I will get that anyway. My immediate problem was protecting the glass front. So I ordered just the front skin, which covers the entire phone front as shown on the phantomskin website.
After drying, viewed at an angle the surface appears wavy but viewed straight on it is perfectly invisible. Skin fits aria perfectly.

screen protector

Ordered this screen protector( http://tinyurl.com/24pks3g) on Mon. Hope it comes today since that is when I will be getting this phone. Anybody ever use clearfreak screen protectors before? Any good? I hope it doesn't look orange peely like the zagg on my g1.
just got my clearfreak yesterday but won't have the phone until 7/23
it feels thinner & more flexible than the zagg , and the cutouts are correct for the vibrant where the zagg has the cutouts for the i9000

Thanks for sharing the coupon! I just ordered one. It will probably get here before the phone does
Thanks, I'll be ordering one as well .
I'm thinking of picking one of these up.
I've used a Zagg on my G1 which was nice at first, but became real ugly after a while. I eventually removed it because it looked really gross on the edges.
How does this compare? I plan on only getting the screen cover, don't need the back covered.
Why is it cheaper on ebay? It appears to be the official clearfreak ebay account, but their prices are much better (even with coupon) than their website offers. What gives?
Any reason not to put this on my phone? What I liked about the Zagg was that I could just wipe it down once with my shirt and all the smudges were gone instantly. I also liked the smoother surface for gliding my finger. It seems without the Zagg my G1 screen had too much friction.
I've used lots of different brands of screen protectors and found the Invisible Shield to be my least favorite. They are a good product, I just don't like the texture of them - it's a personal preference.
I'm considering not using a protector on this phone, though. I always used a screen protector in the past, even on my clamshell phones, but the durability videos floating around are pretty impressive. Not sure if it's technically Gorilla Glass, but whatever they use, it seems pretty damned tough.
For those of you with a unit in-hand, how durable does that glass seem?

I got mine yesterday but I am not quite ready to test the durability. Maybe a braver soul can help though.
BTW I am in for one from Clearfreak from eBay.
Also I don't recommend buying the T-Mobile screen protector, it doesn't cover the whole front, which on this phone is just weird.
I'm not sure about durability as I'm not willing to do any crazy test, but it's going to be hard going with a screen protector b/c the screen is just so nice to use.
That glass really does a nice job with fingerprints. Obviously they're still there, but the glass seems to reduce the effect and they aren't noticeable at all when you're using the phone.
I hear that most screen protectors make fingerprints more noticeable and aren't nearly as smooth.
yet but no matter how hard the glass, it will show degradation from windborne sand, grit etc, or grit/sand in your pocket, salt on your fingers etc
i've got watches with hardened sapphire crystals that i have to polish occasionlly with diamond grinding compound (same stuff used on optical lenses) cause the surface shows microscopic pitting, scratches etc
I've only every used clarivue protectors in the past. I liked them and I will probably post from them when available. Not sure how it will work with swype though.

hey when you get your clearfreaks on your vibrants, can you post how you feel about them. Im lookin for a protector for the captivate and am nitpicky about image quality and touch sensitivity.
I bought the T-Mobile screen protector and I'm not happy at all. It gives the screen a grainy look. I just ordered the Clearfreak one. Its $5.99 on Ebay sold by them.

From looking at the eBay pic the ClearFreak doesn't have cutouts for the front facing camera. I checked the Zagg site and their's does.

There isn't a Front Facing camera for the Vibrant. The one on Zagg is a cutout for the i9000.
Ok I just installed the clearfreak screen protector, followed the directions on their video and and it came out alright I guess, not perfect though. I'm sure it will take some time too set in , but I can see some fingerprints even though I had them wet the whole time. hopefully it improves. When the phone is lit up you can't see any of the flaws and swiping through screens is flawless and very responsive.
I have include two pics, mind you these were take within 30 min. of installing it.

Update: After a few hours it has settled in quite nicely. The finger prints that I thought were there initially are now gone and is super smooth almost too where I forget its even there. Good buy!
the martin fields video had a nice tip for handling the screen protector without getting fignerprints on the sticky side
check the video on their website, but it was a simple idea - using two pcs of scotch tape on either side with half of of the tape not on the protector - gives the user a small "handle" area to use to hold the screen while trying to position it correctly on the phone
just a suggestion

New Ultra Crystal Spigen

As some of you may know that Spigen has developed the new version "Ultra Crystal"
Customer service emailed me the answers to questions that I had regarding this protector as shown below in this post. In research I found that the hardness is higher then the "nano clear" and the "ultra curved" therefore being more scratch resistance. The other specification is the size is slightly shorter then the "nano clear". There response didn't describe the actual size but I was able to find it on EBAY New Ultra Crystal
The cons of the other protectors such as in the "ultra curved" where it scratches easily per reviews in comparison and it could lift up depending on the case being used and the "ultra nano" where again it scratches easily per reviews in comparison but is cut short and not a full protector. The cut or gap distance from the bezel to the side edge of the "ultra nano" somewhere in the middle of the frame border whether it is the pebble blue or white S3 whereas the "ultra crystal" lies exactly on the edge of the display. The edge of the "ultra crystal" lining up with the edge of the display "maybe" less noticeable but being a thicker maybe not. Hopefully I shed some light on the pros and cons along with speculation and opinion on these protectors and having said that would you choose the "ultra crystal" over the other Spigen brands described above.
Thank you for contacting SPIGEN.com Customer Service Department.
Hi, my name is from SPIGEN.com.
The improvements we have made to our Ultra Crystal is that it will better
adhere to the curved screen with a stronger silicone bond.
It is cut slightly smaller than the Nano Clear to accommodate the extra
thickness of the screen protector.
In order for the bond to stick securely, we needed to design the size
smaller to ensure that it will not lift at the edges.
If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact us
again.
Thank you.

Yeah, so the new&improved ultra crystal is just cut smaller so it won't lift. thanks.
Pros: It's thicker and more scratch resistant than the Nano or Curved Crystal
Cons: It's not full coverage (which is also a Pro, if you have tight case that lifts up fullcoverage protectors)
edit: and I think you linked to the OLD ultra crystal on Amazon, because Amazon still shows that I "bought this item on June 12th" (and returned it). should have a new SKU.
Thanks zmore, The link is now corrected. Ebay actually shows the new dimensions of the ultra crystal.
Yeah I ordered from their amazon page last week and the listing even stated that it was the new and improved version yet I was still sent the old defective version that they originally discontinued. Sending it back today for a refund.
i really wanna buy his on amazon because i have a gift card i could use but dont want to take my chances with it being the old version
I ordered a new one from SGP directly on Wednesday and should get it Monday/Tuesday.

Got mine today...
Installation was tricky. The width of the protector is the width of the screen. You have to get the alignment dead-on.
Once it's on, it looks good. However, this is not for everybody.
The protector is thicker. You can feel the edge because it only covers the width of the LCD. If you go without a case that has a lip around the edge, the protector edge may bother you.
Got mine yesterday too, it is just the width of the screen and you have to be precise, but the feel is more like the original screen now. And like mentioned above it does have a lip but I have the Incipio case on it and don't notice it.

Can you post a few pics close-up of the ultra crystal on the S3?
I bought it and it is being shipped to me, can't wait.
This was the second install, wasn't happy with the first try, still a little off for my taste but its working for now.
I have the same case, the down to the color.
I don't mind the protector most of the time, but I do notice it whenever I need to run my finger around the edge of the screen. There is a gap between the edge of the protector and the edge of the Incipio silicone.
Is this protector the final solution? For now.
I wonder if I should sell the second protector?

It's identical to the ultra crystal for s2, in which case doesn't scratch easily. I only had micro scratches which are only visible under strong light on my year old ultra crystal.

Screen Protectors that fit?

I guess I have bad luck. Im looking for screen protectors that actually fit the entire dimensions of our HTC one's. Tried 3 diff brands on Amazon all have clear clarity but none of them fit. I bought a cheap pack of 2 at a local accessory store, when I get home I will check the brand, as the fit is almost perfect (there is maybe a 3/4-1 mm gap at the bottom) and it has held up for me pretty well so far.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BO2OU90/ref=oh_details_o07_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I bought this Tech Armor 3 pack on Amazon. I messed up the first one like always but the second one went on perfectly. For the first day or two it was rather sticky feeling but after a bit of break in time/use it feels just like the stock glass screen. I've been using it for about a month and there's been no peeling, bubbling, or scratches. It's basically edge to edge coverage. There's maybe a 1 mm gap at the bottom of my phone with the top flush so you could split the difference and have almost no gap all the way around.
For $6 shipped they're a good deal. I don't notice these at all and I'm not a fan of screen protectors in general. Since I haven't found a case I like for The One at all and I wanted protection for putting my phone face down when I'm at work these fit the bill for cheap. I just ordered a DevilCase bumper and back cover and I'll likely continue to use these covers even if I like the bumper combo.

I have the black HTC one and I ordered the gray diztronic tpu its amazing. Screen protectors work perfect with it. I've tried like 6 cases and I'm set on this one. Its cheap too. Plus it looks awesome on my black phone.
I will check out the tech armors
What's wrong with the glass screen protectors ? Those fit perfectly and do not ruin the feeling (like all plastic protectors do) ?

I think I'm going to try the glass ones. I just hope they don't mess with the touch sensitivity etc.
I use a mime ghost on my one and there is no negative effect whatsoever.
// sent from my phone //
Note on the product page for touch sensitivity
"Please note system software 1.29.709.12 or newer is required for use with our HTC One Ghost Glass"
Spigen, Spigen, Spigen. Spigen all the way! The best clarity and perfect fit for my htc one (and all other phones for that matter)
I purchased a Nillkin red hard cover for my One, solely to add grip after a few slips, which come with a Nillkin screen protector that I decided to try. Applied really easy and has an excellent fit and the feel aint too bad. I'm not a fan of screen protectors generally but decided to try this one and it's perfectly fine.
Once you go glass, you never go back
