As far as I remember my previously installed 6.5, the implemented e-mail prog does't significantly differ from the 6.1 version regarding finger friendliness. So no need to change your ROM.

I dont think it differs at all. Still feels and looks like 90s

exactly thats the reason why this email interface is really required for blackstone.

that and a text messaging application. manilla goes very deep now compared to its older versions so i wouldnt be surprised if the new version of touch flow 3d comes with this. think how the blackstone shipped with the winmo calendar and contacts and see how the topaz and Rhodium have far better, HTC programs.
I think that way they will integrate with touchflo too, but no one knows how long we could be waiting. Anyone know when the newest HTC devices are being released?

But the new ROM's doesnt have it.I tried to find it from the forum. But couldn't find it.Any one knoe it?I also dnt know the name
the latest wm6 roms are using office mobile 2007.
there you will find "one note mobile", which is far better! even touchscreen notebooks are using onenote.

HI friend;
Thats a block recognizer option or letter recognizer.I mean is a software where u can write this and save as it is.So next time u can see it more like a picture.U understand?
Regards
Some of the cooked ROMs do not have the handwriting recognition feature, I don't know whether it is missing from the O2 WM6 ROM too, or just from Tom's cooked ROMs.
must have been that, it wasn't hard to stumble upon when i was having a quick play thats why i thought it was there.
Thanks

Yes I know what u mean,Thanks for ur reply.
Its smthing like a ms paint for windows. We can write something using the paint brush and save it as a pic right?
I should have remembered it
I am an idiot
Sorry friends only yesterday did I find that the notes application can be used in the same way to write with stylus on screen.it had to be changed from type to write in the options menu.
Thanks to all those who contributed.
just a note -- if you want BETTER handwriting-type note apps, then maybe you should try out Phatpad. I tried it on my x51v before and the feel of the ink was a heckuva lot better than the default Notes. It can also handle your writing a lot better -- and apparently with Calligrapher (Phatware's version of Transcriber) you can draw in Phatpad and have drawing converted to text quite reliably.
I haven't had the cash to buy the app yet myself, but I might pick it up again one day when I have more cashola.

You should check Multipad.
It is not a freeware but a great proggy I use on a day to day basis.

Another Possibility
Don't forget Pocket Informant - as well as being a very good PIM, it features a Note taking facility on which you can also set alarms...which is nice!
Thanks to all
Thanks every one,I will try out the ones u guys mentioned.

OneNote mobile
Actually, I'm also interested in expanding OneNotes Mobile possibilities in the way regular notes work (to draw a note with pictures and handwriting without recognition and being able to sync it with my desktop version of oneNote)
Do you know any add-ons that can help?

SMS viewer

Hey just wondering if there is a different sms viewer to the custom one in TF3D. Something similiar to the iphone one would be pretty cool.
Solution: Buy an Iphone.
there are a few on www.pocketcm.com - however htctoucher hasn't made them for the HD I've been looking for the same thing. There are a few things here and there that Apple has done well, where WinMo 6.1 still lacks. I'm sure if you give it some time - someone will develop it. Just be patient, or ask those who you see developing different apps and such, and see if they can be pursuaded by some sort of donation
Good Luck!

This doesnt look bad. But will this work with tf3d?
just realised that it costs...anything free?
Yeah... smiley sms new version has a nice threaded interface.. and it skins the notifications too as well as other nice features.... I find it a little fiddly, personally... and it needs updating, I think. But it might be what you're after.

HTC Hero GUI has profiles, any software giving the same on WM?

I had the opportunity to play with a Hero yesterday and I loved the fact that their Sense UI had multiple "profiles" or themes, so, for example, I could have one set of screens and widgets for work, and another for personal.
Is there a software that permits me to have the same on Windows Mobile? Thx
try this

Don't try it because ageye can't manage BT on/off
Thanks, but G-Profile is not what I had in mind. G-Profile offers settings profiles, whereas with Sense UI, you can set how the Home screens look, e.g., you can have one group of contacts for Favorites for work and another for personal.
Thanks anyway.

I really like the features of PhoneAlarm..
www.pocketmax.com
You can customize almost anything by Time/location/Powerstate
It controls MOST features of the phone...

Not in that thread, as you say, but feel free to look at other threads. They are there. Maybe they are slow on the uptake on supporting WM 6.5.

[APP] HTC Tasks

HTC Tasks - an application using the Sense SDK to manage your Outlook tasks
I always wondered why my HD2 did not come with a replacment app for the stock tasks application, especially since Sense replaces almost everything. Anyway, I downloaded eboelzner's Sense SDK and startet writing this little app today.
Requirements:
Windows Phone 6.x
.netCF 3.5
(W|Q)VGA device
Current features (very basic):
Add Task
Localization (English, German, Spanish; auto-detect language)
Sense UI
change task status
change importance
change subject
Future Features:
Settings
Change other task properties (description, due date, etc.)
maybe other languages
images showing importance
Localization:
Oh and I would be glad if someone could take a look at my Spanish localization and tell me if something's wrong (my grammar is miserable and I'm not familiar with the Spanish techno-babble) and maybe somebody wants to translate this into other languages as well. So please contact me via PM if you are interested in helping me.

not yet available
Excellent! Sounds very promising. I also wondered why the Tasks had been left untouched by HTC....

More than 4 years here and don't know how to PM... So here I am, ready to check the traslation. Spanish is my native language
Got your PM and thank you. I will send you the localization files before I upload the app, ok?
Looks good. But arent there already apps like this one? Ptasks etc.
Always good with alternatives tho
In my opinion pTasks is not very fingerfriedly, which is pretty important if you have a device with capacitive touchscreen.

HTC Task sounds great. I use the WinMo-Task every day... it works very good but its so ugly.
A question: Do you want the important tasks to be colored?
I encountered a really strange bug. When I change the tasks StartDate and Update the task (Task.Update()) I get a Win32 Exception. Has any other .NET CF developer an idea what could be causing this?
edit: found out what the problem was. StartDate has (logically) be before DateCompleted.
Makes me wish I knew more about coding. I'm useless when it comes to that kind of thing...
This is really great! Thanks for your efforts.
I don't know if you'd be interested in this or not, but I'd love to see an app like this that can be used as a tab in Sense.
Thanks again!

same here i would love to see it as a tab but what you are creating should do fine for me.
Hi,
looks very promising and I'm looking forward to the first available version to give it a try.
bye
Sven
I'd like to see command line support to use it with Advanced Home Tab (Cookies Home Tab addon) to have directly access to a task.
Looks great!
I will do the translation to Dutch if you want?
Joris
Just to inform you: Advanced Home Tab for CHT adds the possibility to show tasks in the calendar-panel in home tab, too! You have simply to swype it to the right to show your tasks and swype to the left to go back to the appointments!
There are other programs here (ptasks and tasks manila) but the development on both of those has stopped. So hopefully you can finish off your vision before you get too busy working on something else.
You might consider making an actual tasks tab for Sense UI. That's what I've been looking for. Being integrated with Sense means I don't have to start up another application. Just a suggestion.
I'm looking forward to testing this out.
Nice work. If want, Im offer translating to Czech.
Looks very nice. I can translate this to Romanian.

Everything you are looking at so far is just for the standard WM sms interface. What you need to do is skin the sense messenger files
im sure there must be a way, but isnt the HTC buble one almost similar enough? whats the ibggest diference in the iPhone one?
If you mean HTC Sense messaging, I use this one and it might be what you're looking for. It will take some reading and I'm not sure if it's in .cab form or not, but it's worth a look. I love using it and never use any other messaging client.
