hello to everybody, i'm new here
i just wanted to unlock my universal. i read the instructions in the readme of the downloaded file from here (Source) carefully and wanted to enter the bootloader.
but after i press the power, light and reset button simultaneously like here: Image ...it just restarts (like i only press the reset key).... --> no bootloader apers
anybody knows the reason why it doesn't start the bootloader? thank u for helping
hi, welcome to forum. sometimes can be tricky. but if you hold the buttons then press reset and continue holding for a couple more seconds then it should load the bootloader. hope this helps

i'm holding power and light button simultaneously and then i push the reset button. it seems to be not working.. like it ignors that i'm pressing the other buttons...?
hi, tried with mine. if i hold the light and power and when i press reset and hold it also it enters bootloader. if this doesnt work sorry maybe a more experienced user can enlighten us.
solved the prob
power is working. reset is working. if you press the light and backlight settings come up then thats working depending on your rom. not sure what your issue is if they all work.
ok solved the problem with a trick. now everything is working. thank you for ur help!

I flashed Hard SPL 1.34 then upgraded the radio to 25.05 then put on Bepe's 0.95 ROM
It worked for a while, then started to crash and needed to press the reset button to boot it up.
Now it won't move from the Touch Diamond startup screen when I boot it up, then turns off. Can't hard reset, and can't enter bootloader.
Any ideas? I just suddenly did this, also, it doesn't have the original vendor ROM on it so if I send it back, what's the chances of them getting into it and then saying a big FO because I messed with it?

What happens when you try to enter bootloader mode? Have you tried removing the battery for a while?

Yes, korrect
diddly squat, not even any ROM id's coming up on boot screen. I think it's bricked
Hard reset is volume down + enter (round key) and red reset button. Keep down the first two until you see the reset screen

Can you be a little more descriptive? What exactly happens? Does the phone reset at all?
Did you hold volume down for a few seconds? Just pressing it while you hit the reset button is not enough. You need to hold it down until the tri-color bootloader appears. That's usually around 5 seconds.
Edit:
Clarification: You press volume down and hold it. Then you shortly push down the reset button with the stylus, while still holding the volume down button. You can release the volume down button after the tri-color screen appears. (or after 10 seconds if it's really not coming up)
Should it come up, you can use the chance to flash another ROM. If that's giving you trouble, see the link in my signature.
Ok, here's what happens
If I press the power button, it vibrates, Touch Diamond comes up, no ROM info, stays for a few seconds, disappears, phone is then off again.
Holding volume down, pressing reset button, nothing happens, phone doesn't power on, volume down held for 10 seconds, nothing happens
Holding volume down and action button, then pressing reset button, again nothing happens at all.
I successfully hard resetted the phone with the official ROM, but since installing Bepe's 0.95 I hadn't attempted a hard reset, but I had rebooted the phone successfully before this problem occured
Okay, in the off state the reset button will not function.
What you could try is turning it on and immediately afterwards follow the bootloder-procedure.

I realize they're for different phones, but that might not make such a big difference in this case...
also, can you confirm that you successfully flashed hard-spl before this? as in, you manually went to bootloader and saw that it had changed to hard spl?

might seem stupid but your phone is also acting as it would with a 99% flat battery........phone just starts then dies.......
Stupid question......put it on charge for a couple hours...you never know....it might be the problem you have
Well I came to start it up this morning after leaving it on a shelf all night with distain and it booted up fine.
So I'm going to flash the official ROM, and other stuff back to factory and send it back. there's obviously something wrong with it somewhere.

phone does not boot up
Hi, i got a prob with my phone, when i power it on it gives me that display with the 4 colors(red,green,blue and white), i have tried hard reset but it does not help, can anyone assist.
please help out here....my phone get stucked to HTC logo...i have just left my phone lower battery to 10% then after charging it wont boot up properly...anyway, the battery is still charging...am able to upload RADIO rom with the trick like holding down the reset+back+reset...able to upload RADIO rom but after booting up still stucked in HTC logo.....pls advise...dont know what to do now....have even tried removing SIM card...pls HELP...

yea, to boot into the bootloader.
If you hold down the "volume button down" while booting your device it must show the colored screen within a second. Just hold down the "volume down" while pressing the reset button on the back. Keep holding the "volume down" till you see the colored screen.
tell me how please...i will have to remove the battery and put it back in...then it will still charge.....anyway...the only way i can start there is to press the power button and it will start up....but it will get stuck in HTC logo....when do i start going to bootloader in there....pls help...
Have you not tried a hard reset yet?
If that still does not work the flash a new ROM - while connected via bootloader ( only way )

Remove the battery, place the battery, hold down the "volume down" button, start your device ( while still holding the "volume down" button ).
Try a hard reset first as mentioned above:
Hold down the "volume down" button + the round button on the front, then reset your device while still holding those two buttons.

Download a ROM and flash it while the device is still in that mode.

1. restart the phone (with the pen in the small red button at the pen hole)
2. immediately after you have restarted, hold down the volume down button.
3. now you should be in three color bootloadermode.
4. connect your usb cable (after that you will see USB at the white color part)
5. start your custom ruu to flash your new rom.

To hard reset -
reset your device with the stylus the before anything appears on the screen hold down the Vol down key and the centre button - follow the instructions - but don't use the volume down option unless you want to format you internal memory too.
have you tried to reflash rom? another rom possibly?
trying to do hard reset again...and this time it applies....dont know why it's not reacting awhile ago....

Hello guys. i have one big problem. My phone hang and then rebooted itself while playing "where is my water" game. Suddenly got messege "This build is for development purposes only Do not distribute ......." My bootloader is locked and i never rooted may one x before. Now i can't get into home screen. Please help me guys. Sorry for my english. Thanks
Press and hold down power and volume down button
until some sort of menu screen appears, in that menu screen you're going to want to use your volume up or down button and navigate to Factory Reset and give that a try
otherwise i would suggest doing a soft reset (hold power button for 10 seconds)
if neither works i would suggest you go to the shop from where you bought it from and ask if you can have it replaced or repaired.

I am not a total noob. I have always done my research and I am well versed with the procedures but this has me stumped. About six months before I had installed Omega ROM (told you i wasn't a noob) and things were fine and dandy. I was running today and bam! my phone just enters into a bootloop (lost my data on endomondo too). But hey! I am an expert right? or so i think to myself and I try getting into the recovery mode / download mode. I press the volume down, power and home button. The warning comes up and all that i have to do now is to press the volume up key right? wrong!! Inspite of pressing the volume up key the bootloop continues. I dont know what i am doing wrong. I am sure it is a really silly thing but i am not able to figure it out myself. I read the posts and all of them deal with other issues. Can someone help me?
Can someone check this up for me? Switch off your phone and try going into the recovery mode by pressing only the vol. down button and the home button pressed together. If it does not show the warning screen prior to the recovery mode then it would mean that my power button is malfunctioning. It would take just two minutes of your time. Please post your results here. Please.
If you press just the volume down and home button not a lot happens not the warning screen anyway. When I boot into recovery I have to wait for the Samsung logo to appear twice or it just reboots. Might be worth pressing all 3 buttons and wait for the 3rd restart before letting go

It's volume up home and power for recovery if you get download mode and volume up the phone just reboots hence why you go back to bootloop

The problem is solved. It turned out that it was not a boot loop after all. The power button got pressed and was stuck in that state thus causing repeated reboots. It was by pressing the volume down and home button without pressing the power button that i figured out that the power button was stuck. So i took out the screws and adjusted the band slightly and now alls well.
i found my old phone is it possible to fix this or trow in garbag thanx in advance
They don't work at all or partially work? My vol - button works one time if I press it like five times. If that's the case, then you can still flash twrp and stuff. Try removing back cover and press vol buttons directly. If they still don't work then sorry mate.
