I wanted to make a thread for all people with ideas and creativity, similiar to the J & B keyboard thread... plus original Hero Clock thread is a little long.
reason is to have a place where you can ADB push or load up different colored widgets.
Now this is an early early stage of this thread and I plan to collab where possible... so please PM me for any help or ideas etc..
Im not the best at this, but im creative, so hopefully I can catch a few people's eye's (as my signature has) and let's get to it.
I have the PSD files of these clocks, you can open them in Photoshop or ImageReady.. I could use some help packing the clocks if people want them..
feel free to add your own customized widgets, clocks ,etc.. whatever is posted will be linked from the home page, for organization purposes.

Yeah we definatly need these in Hero builds these clocks are SO SICK great work
ok... I did this clock in less than an hour and a half... and I'll improve it over time... but!... this is for the Japanese(or Japanese wannabes(I KNOW I'M ONE!) )... as I said... I will improve it (when I have time)

A little HERO POWER TRIP and vacation now so thats what happened to my thread so maybe in a couple of weeks but for now I'm relaxing sorry to disappoint and thanks for keeping it legit with our clocks

dont want to compete in anyway with any developers... thats why i sought them out about my idea...
trying to start customizing the HERO widgets, Clocks, etc... (with the second hand) on Rosie..
just a different thread for a different customization
im going to see if I can have th4r edit a script or ill edit his script to work in the same way for SenseUI, Rosie, whatever you want to call it
some other developers of the community may partake in this as well...
names will be credited at the top

Oh ok, well if you downloaded the newest Rom which is the one in my signature located below (version 23) you can go to tools folder and go to extras and mess around from there like make it slim, transparent, and change the clock and font and all. Hope this helps.

Thats sick works well but if you have a theme installed it wont read the launcher from the theme so the stuff in the Luncher.apk from the theme wont show up clock,google search bar and stuff like that. Great idea and if themes can be installed with this its going to be bad a$$.

well it would be easier if the developer got together with Jesusfreke and make it into a big update and incorporated the app as the home screen for a small donation type thing? I would pay again for a update like that then the sky is the limit with themes for this.
yeah i updated the elements like in the normal launcher by the way and resigned the whole app. people would have to know how to put the elements in the app themselves after purchase... not for amateurs. would like to see someone pull off some way to do it easily though.

that means i can do it, and i am working on one as soon as we figure out how to do it without pirating the app, it will be released.

And as far as pirating the app, thats gonna be hard. Its not the actual update.zip your modding, its his apk which could prove to be troublesome. Maybe there's a way to get everyone together who has purchased it & they can share the themed versions??? Just an idea

well i signed the demo with no problem, but i am having a problem with the paid version... cant seem to sign it correctly
there should be a meta.inf file in it that you need to remove to resign it so it takes the test keys. Why not just send baron a pm and talk to him? One idea would be to give him the themes to release through his website.
I asked him about whats been talked about here this is what he said.

I noticed ted's hero theme and drizzys hero rom use a different gmail icon. Unfortunately it still doesnt blend well in my opinion. But could someone combine the current MAIL icon with ted and drizzy's gmail icon?!?!!
Basically the mail icon mailbox with the gmail envelope hanging out of the mailbox a little bit?
the icon space may not allow for that and remain the same size as the other hero icons though. so maybe just the google G on the rightmost side of the mailbox as a secondary idea?

I really have no idea what im doing lol. I JUST downloaded gimp not too long ago and im learning as i go. I figured out just enough of it to do those images. Im sure somebody with real skills could make a better 1. Like 1 with an actual opened door on it instead of just erasing that part of the mailbox lol. My imaginations way bigger than my skills r with that program but ill keep trying. Glad you like it tho!

the actual mailbox hasnt been modded except to create a open look for the envelope because i wanted it as close 2 the mail icon as possible but i can try it...that shouldnt b hard! lol (still learnin where things r and how 2 use em)
Why not make a widget, like handcent sms uses one ?
An icon with a number in it, so you can see haw many new mails you have.

It sounds to me like he's trying to develop an app and has some problems, so I'd imagine he does know what he wants. Sounds like he just doesn't want someone pinching his idea.

We cannot help you without any information though. You have to give us something or you're on your own mate. There's plenty of people that will help, but with nothing to go on we can't.

ok the things i need help with is 3 bugs that i have and cabfile problem i have with my app/theme.The bugs that i have is that the battery icon i made for my phone only works in the startmenu but the homescreen and one the battery icon doesn't do nothing all it does is when you are charging the battery it will just flashback back infourth but nothing is wrong with that it suppose to do that to tell that it is charging is just that the homescreen one battery icon not draining its just staying the same at full but when you go to start menu it works fine why is it doing this can someone fix this and for the next problem is that i cant seem to put the files into one cab file in install to myphone you always have to seperate them or in differentway u have to install them one by one just dont like doing that plus when people use this i dont want them to have to go look for them and constantly telling me where the cab files are at and the next problem i want to improve the htc theme texture to make is look more 3d and improve the clock to alittle more but not letting me or im not doing somthing right to change the codes to let me plz help.IF you want to take a look at the files you can follow this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=654166 THe files you should look for is these files HTC Diamond Home.cab,Standard HTCHome Edition.cab ,WindowHtc AnimatedCharge text.cab,wm6battery_solid_qvga.cab,Winjack Project! I am currently using Espier launcher which is great but the only problem i have with it is that some icons just are plain ugly. I tried my hardest, sat down and for the last two days I have been trying to follow this guide:

I just couldn't do it right I don't know what I was doing wrong but something didn't work. It might help too if the above guides screenshots worked instead of saying 404. I was hoping maybe someone with a little more knowledge of .xml editing could either tell me what I am doing wrong or do it for me.

No problem!!! I just try my best to help out the community. Unfortunately ai don't have an Epic anymore, I have another android phone but I will post the themed apk before I test it or maybe I will get the chance to who knows.

This launcher looks like a Chinese version of an I phone. What rom are you on. Have you tried miui roms I have some tike tomorrow I can look into this. I'm not as awesome as Travis is at this but. If I can help. Then I am willing.
