However, some thai characters don't display especially thai characters in the third (top) row (I thought you known that thai language has 3 level of display). I'm very interesting to your work. Unfortunately , I can't read japanease. If anything help to improve this ,tell me.

i got made Special tools with Buzz's tool. to unlock extrom for New Qtek<if cant unlock with old tool>
DL this one, and remove all previouse unlock tool if you use already.
<hard reset is better>
Install this can, the go to Start Menu and find Unlocker Icon,
And Excute this, make soft reset.
Mabe you can get Extrom free!

of course you can do that!
just replace wince.nls in ROM and inject Arabic font also into ROM,
then add the fontlink registry of default.hv.
thats all, if you upload Arabic font and registry and wince.nls here,
i can make you soo!

you problems is one of troubles while upgrading,

I have been reading this forum a lot, keeping on asking questions to everybody, so it's time I contribute a bit to help by describing step by step how I switched my Japanese WM5 Softbank X01HT to a WM6 English device
This post is target at Gaijins who want an English WM6, but still want to be able to use Japanese with it. For a Japanese MUI or ROM, I guess Asukal will probably publish something

I was first willing to cook a ROM including all these, in order to spare some space on my HERMES. I had already cooked an "intermediary" one when Tadzio issued his method to make a "shrinked" OS ROM that would allow you to use the spare space from the ROM
Since this, no point in adding all these mods in my ROM
First: making flashing safe
Download Hard-SPL-V2 from the great Olipro to avoid bricking your device. Here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=296722
Install it
Then, get your ROM.
Download the_passenger ROM shrink version of LVSW 20070320 ROM (More space available) and install it (Read threads about flashing ROMs if you are not familiar with that...)

I did have a problem with it: once I executed it, I could not sync with my Exchange server (Quite a pain for my push email account...)
Asukal found the solution: edit the registry, and change

You're going to be missing the Softbank unique way of switching to silent mode (Only available in Softbank ROM)

MMS
Softbank's MMS System is a pain because it's incompatible with "classic" MMS systems...
You can download Softbank's software... But... it's slow, big, bulky, ugly, etc... If you dont mind missing the emoticons, you should go for MMSLite
Regedit, Look for Arcsoft. Delete all references to Arcsoft (Sometimes need to be done in several times, some entries being in use if you have by mistake launched MMS Composer once since your flash of the OS...)
If you dont do these eletions, MMSLite will actually not install...

The only problem when upgrading is the Japanese input. I used sometimes (so I need it), but I I install Japanese input package you told in your post the I have a really annoying floating bat anywhere, and it's really unnoying.
There is no way to have same kind of input in enlish ROM?

I'm going to work in Japan soon (1st of April) but I want to use my Hermes as my primary phone, etc. Is it possible to go to a SoftBank shop and tell them basically "Don't ask me how, but this phone is SoftBank-compatible. Now please register it into the SoftBank network and gimme a standard phone subscription. Thanks".
Meaning how can I register my phone (SIM card ? I looked and they seem to have only outrageously expensive SIM cards on loan for 108円 a day, with no 3G connectivity. Or is it possible to get a standard subscription?)?

Really? I don't get a floating bar.
Did you try it on a clean installation of WM6, or did you install it after installing the Bagojs IME? Maybe some settings in the registry are causing the bar to appear.
Also, did you set your locale to Japanese in "Control Panel->System->Regional Settings"?

- Install LetNo5 (Jp Font)
- Install BajosIME
- Install AkusakIME (on device) not in storage card

You shouldn't need to install both BagojsIME and Asukal's IME package, just Asukal's. BagojsIME provides an older version of the MS IME.
Use you own phone with SB
You can pick a ZERO Yen phone to do a new contract with SB. Then change the sime card to your onw phone. Suppose you have a sim-unlock phone.

I didnt have to install anything to get the Manner mode working. I think this is implemented in WMXL. But when i set the phone skin security to 1
my phone pad disappears, turns white. Renders unusable. The only fix for me is to set it back to 0.
This might be due to the carrier setting, it happens immediately after running SB external rom carrier info.
Any ideas?

Basically I agree with you! But when you want to do it you may met lots of problems.
The big challenges is you have to find all the files related with Chinese, include so files support IMEs and also some registries.
And the problem with CE-star is you can not search you contact list by Pingyin sequential. And also CE-start does not suport Pen, Brush Pen stensil.
Anyway thanks. If I have time and don't care about cost, I should do it myself. And the file list which support SC can be get by compare the dump of SC and TC of other models of HTC phone like dopod830 or cht9000.

if u wanna search your contact list by chinese, check this out.
PS: after install the pocketcm, place lang.ini in the same directory. run pocketcm, then u will find everything in chinese.
After installed YaHei cab, the system displays Chinese very well.
But in the regional settings, there is no such choise for Chinese. Besides, in the IE, there is no Chinese encoding, so the chinese words cann't be read in IE.
What I want is the English interface + Chinese support, so if the problems i mentioned above can be solved, it will be great to me.
Notice: for trinity all the cooked wm6 rom only!!!!!Simplfied Chinese.
this cab will install a font and a wince.nls file, which makes your chinese contact index in ABC and regional settings including P.R.China. that means you can view chinese website.
the wince.nls is special, only works with hermes and trinity wm6, if you install it into other mobile handset, not too bad but the live messenger will fail.
i made it by myself,and i am sure it will working great.

I agree with you but the keyboard in offical english is conflict with A4 and Meihua.The contact pinyin list problem is so light if you use cele dialing .

And every time I reset the phone, I got an error message: system does not support your current service provider(46000), you have get update information from device manufacturer. Do you want to select other service provider?
The message is in TC which I translate into English? and 46000 is stand for China Mobile. When I try to select, I can not find the it in the standard list.
Anyway, The phone can be used. But I feel uncomfortable with this non-sense error message.
Is there any way which I can add that record in?

NOT AT ALL.. its based on PDAC ripped core minus all the wm5 bugs
ok, I tried to install it on my Polaris....following the instructions.
after the SR it ask to register the hebrew and all the menus are in hebrew but reversed.
is there a way to make it only hebrew enable (english menus) ?
Does this ROM only work on Saturdays?

if you go by cellcom that could be the issue and i can give the pre-beta version with no menus but it wont work anyways cause its based on different certificate..
another issue could be cause its suppose to be for hermes not for polaris
BUT i can fix it for you(i hope) i just need some info..
if you have any older version of hebrew that did work(not the arabizer, but from your extended rom) send me the setup xml or .inf or the compiled cab and ill try to fix it based on your certs.
plus im kinda of busy right now but in a few weeks i promise youd get a better improved for all devices ALL NEW badnimits hebrew with interface change option and more..

first, thanks for the quick reply. the polaris with WM6.1 don't have or use extended rom
and it doesn't come with preinstalled hebrew, this is why we make all the mess because
hebrew is so expansive to buy.

Hello, I got the GW620 from Orange at Spain and I installed the LG original firmware in order to get Gmail and Youtube APPs. The problem is that my keyboard now works as an azerty keyboard and I want that it works as a qwerty one.
Could somebody help me please?

I also purchased an LG EVE GW620 with Orange a few weeks ago.
I solved the Google Talk and Youtube simply installing the apk's someone (Thanks to Elfassy) backuped and uploaded. I can't post the link since I'm n00b at tis forum.
Unfortunately gMail syncronizacion doesn't appear on the prefferences, so gMail app is useless for me.
Could you make a little step by step tutorial about how to restore the original firmware? Or unless reffer me to one.That seems like what I've been looking for since I got my phone.
