Using Hebrew and touchflo - Touch HD Themes and Apps

I have an application that requires a Hebrew font on my Touch HD. I have copied the Hebrew font that I need to windows\font and I can then use the font is then available for me to use in my application.
The problem is that touchflo for some reason picks up this font in some places. Most of touchflo is OK but when I dial someone's phone number for instance I get a load of garbage on the display rather than the name of the person that I am calling. Does anyone know how to control the fonts that toughflo uses?
Thanks

Chinese Characters on TMobile Dash
Hi everyone,
I have in my possession an unlocked TMobile Dash which I'm trying to get some use out of in Shanghai, CN. I can't get it to display any Chinese characters except in ClearVue applications and internet explorer (so no SMS, menus, network warning messages, etc.)
I once had hopes of flashing the dopod ROM, but obviously I didn't act quickly enough.
Can anyone help me?
Thanks!

just copy a chinese font into windows dir.
You can try to install the CE-STAR.
It's the great software for you.
I had heard that CE-Star works well on the Dash for Chinese. I personally am using the Dash in Japanese (SMS, e-mail, Web, not menus, though).
~Cheers~
what about Korean? what software or what can i do... so that my dash could read korean as well????
thanks,
display japanese characters? (kana, kanji, asian font)
Hi,
has anybody succeeded in getting Japanese characters to display? Especially in email, web (opera mobile), dictionary (MDictSP).
I've searched the forums a bit:

There are lots of free solutions for PocketPC edition (or palm os) on the web, but next to nothing for Smartphone.
I'll keep you up to date if I manage to get anything working (haven't experimented yet).
use CE-STAR
It supports most Asian languages.
Incoming call screen font size
Is there any way to increase the font size of the calling number and name on the incoming call screen? This is for the Rogers WM6 ROM. I've looked through the registry but couldn't find an entry for this.
I did change the system font to "large" in the accessibility settings, and while it changed other screens, it had no effect on this one.
Any help is appreciated.
Is there really no solution for this?
If you can find out how to change the colors to white that'll be great too. Sesinger, do you know how to change the colors of the home screen test to black? I've got some pictures I want to use as wallpaper that are too light for the white text. Thanks

To-Do List Font Size
Hey everyone, searched for 20 minutes so it's not on the forum or I'm blind. Regardless, I'm wondering how I can change some of the fonts - most importantly my "to-do" or "tasks" when I'm entering them in on the phone. Running the HTC Rom and wm6. I want to make the font smaller so I can see more on the screen when entering and scrolling...
Also, I'm wondering if there's a way to change the font size in the text messages. Size that I'd prefer would be "small" or "smallest" if your viewing any text in your pop.mail.
Any one have any places, programs, or instructions to modify this? Tried SK Tools and it wont change the font sizes on those, just menu, system font, and a couple others.
Thanks ahead for any help.
Huh funny thing is I am also looking at how to change sms font size... in a search this is one of the first posts to come up...lol...

a good way to use a different font size is to use a program called xtreme text.
it is a threading sms app.
the do to list or tasks can be changed only through using a xtreme agenda.
Ive searched and cant find a precise answer i am looking for, SO i'll do it with a thread
How can you change the default font, and font size used in wm 6.1? It looks too big and edgy.
Thanks.

Change Fonts
There are any software that allow to change the font?
font too small for me
Any idea how to increase font size, changed to segoe but too small. Accesibility setting doesn't have increase font option like other roms. Help. Thanks,
Dave
Haha, yeah after not being able to find how to change it I found both those programs. Been using for a while now.
Changing size of system font for WM 6.1?
In the original Chinese build of 6.1 the system font was significantly smaller and I think looked a lot better in text messages, menus, etc. However, now in the WWE version of the 6.1 ROM the system font is a lot bigger. Anyone know a reg edit or something to make it smaller again?
I would like to know also. I have tried editing the read_sytle.0409.css and changing the fonts there doesn't seem to affect anything. I would desperately like to reduce the font on the threaded sms conversations.

Looking to understand i18n

I'm looking to understand something about internationalisation and fonts on Windows Mobile 6 (mine is a HTC Touch Cruise). The practical problem is that my user interface is European but when I receive e-mails and text messages in Hebrew I only see squares. I don't need to write in Hebrew or to change the MUI.
I'm not looking for a commercial product - I'm a software developer myself (but not on Windows Mobile) and feel very comfortable modifying registry entries, swapping files and the like. What I'd like to understand is the mechanics of the problem.
I've read about changing the system font and have changed it to one that supports Hebrew with the following results: the popup notification when a message arrives is now in Hebrew characters (but backwords), but when I open the messages they're still only squares. Is there a system font that isn't covered in the above link? A system default codepage issue?
Many thanks for pointers, explanations and suggestions

is it possible to create my own keyboard layout?(custom t9)

hi I was wondering if it was possible to create my own keyboard layout for dash.
Ultimately I want to type in korean on my dash, so far I'm capable of reading them in gmail app. any browser, and system file browser.
I think if I can come up with the T9 layout for my dash I'd be able to write in korean on it as it's capable of displaying it.
is there such program?

FontLink system font Tahoma with Japanese font?

Hi, I want to have Japanese on my htc touch hd.
So far I put all the fonts into the appropriate folder (\windows\schriftarten for Germann language windows mobile 6.1) and linked them in the registry in HKLM\Software\Microsoft\FontLink .
However, Tahoma won't show any Japanese glyphs in sizes below 10px (shows boxes instead). I tested in word and all other fonts do, just Tahoma won't!
Is there any way to fix this without increasing system font size from 8px to 10px or above?
Thanks,
FreakRob
Bump. Has nobody a clue??

Swedish keyboard with åäö and fully working T9 for HTC HD2

I've made a Swedish keyboard layout with åäö for my HTC HD2 (aka HTC Leo) with the 1.66.413.2 Swedish ROM. The T9 works flawlessly.
The keyboard is a modification of FingerKeyboard 2.1 which is freeware software. Google for it.
Install FingerKeyboard 2.1 and replace the files in the program folder with my modified files. Make sure you have chosen Swedish keyboard layout in the settings. Theoretically it should work with other Windows Mobile 6 phones with the same resolution as HTC HD2 (which has a WVGA screen). I cannot guarantee anything though. You have to test for yourself.
Or you can modify the files for yourself to suit your phone. The files that dictates how the keyboard is displayed are plain txt-files and bmp-files. There is a document in the program folder explaining how the txt-files are built up.
If you want FingerKeyboard to be your default keyboard then follow the instructions displayed in the FAQ-portion of the FingerKeyboard 2.1 page in the XDA forums.
i replaced the files as described but nothing changes? i dont have t9 and no seperatly åäö

You have a HTC HD2? It works on my HTC HD2. I don't know if it works on other Windows Mobile 6.5 phones.
Activate T9 with you default keyboard and make sure it's activated. Also activate T9 in the FingerKeyboard settings program. Then switch to Finger Keyboard. T9 should then stay activated.
What I haven't written down in the instructions is that after following the instructions you should choose the GreyBlue color scheme in the Finger Keyboard settings program (since that's the color scheme that has been modified in the bmp-files).
If you've followed all instructions exactly as written then I can't help you more than this
