Is there any themes out there that will work with the Hofo Rom? I love the rom but would just like to change how it looks a bit.

Say is there any resources on how to make your own theme, I am interested in seeing if i could make one for Hofo Rom.

hey guys I have been on xda about 3 years and always loved the developers works, but I have never design anything for sharing with you. Currently I am working on some theme for the JP0 and have done some pretty cool stuff but I need help here can I get a tutorial for theming the froyo framework and twframework on the SGS.

Well I have good general Photoshop and development skills but don't have a clue where to begin! I see many themes around but only like certain elements of each so would like to put my own Frankenstein version together, possibly using the Dena theme as a rough base.
I found some good info in the android theming forum on here, guess I needed to look outside of the Galaxy S forum where I usually lurk!
I've searched and searched but could anyone please give me a clear definition on how to know which themes work with what ROMs?
I have the latest installment of Fresh; are there any particularly great themes for it?
I found burst phoenix yesterday, browsing around but it didn't work.

Ok by the way, Fresh is a sense based rom so that means that a theme like MattedBlues would work because it was designed for sense correct?
Yep, Fresh + Matted Blues used to be my combo before I went to MIUI.

i desperately want it.
because, default theme with Touchwiz looks too bright & shiny... kind of glaring to my eyes. i think that can also consume lot of battery..
i prefer dark background with white letters & fonts would be best...
i hope someone here can help me.
i saw one user posting his desktop in post your desktop thread. but he has never told us the steps he used to get that theme.
i request him to pls share his settings her, as we know what kind of softwares he has used to get that effect....
help us to feel better guys...

That wont help him ..
If I was you Id flash the Lite'ning Rom (link below)
Great rom and it gives you the theme with the rom ..
From there you can flash any KE7 theme from the forums ..
There are usually instructions on how to do it ...
You need a deodexed rom to flash themes ..
Here's a few good starting points ...this will also give you root..

Are you havin a laugh?... the chap cant work out how to change the basic look of his phone without struggling... and your expecting him to work out how to start flashing roms???
For the original poster... if i was you,,, just download Go launcher EX from the market... and in the options once its loaded up select themes and download a few.... try Ink.... or Gre.... there 2 nice looking themes

We all had to start somewhere ..If he needs help or more info then he only has to ask ..
Some of us on XDA work together as a community...
The help and advice if there if he wants it ...if not then that's fine..

I agree we where all newbies at one time, even i am just getting to grips with it.

Sorry didnt see that you have seen the post your desktop thread, but the answer to your questions are within that thread itself.
Most of the posters have mentioned the software they have used (Launchers, widgetlocker, icon packs, backgrounds) etc. I agree its a pain to navigate through the pages looking for this kind of info but hey its wortht the effort! I am a newbie to Android too and the post your desktop thread has taught me so much, most of the software listed there is free and on the Android market too.
Personally I am using Simi clock, battery and weather widgets along with the 'Beautiful widgets'. Try these for a start.

I was hoping I could change a theme, ie the look of the icons, the fonts etc without having to flash a ROM....I have flashed ROM's before but I always found the phone to become a bit unstable afterwards. (This was on the SE X1 so perhaps it was the crappy phone rather than the ROM!!)
I can't see anywhere how to change the global icons or the global font's and things.
I was hoping you could just install/uninstall a theme...but it doesn't look like you can do such a thing.
I have Widget Locker and Launcher Pro but none of those seem to allow a total global theme...
Will Go Launcher EX enable me to do all that?

I've been looking at that thread but I can't seem to customise my phone like most people have done in that thread. There seems to be a lot of tweaking behind the scenes which is what I am looking to try but need some sort of tutorial...

Just thought it would be nice to share my little Frankenstein theme here. It's a big mash-up of god knows how many little bits from other themes browsing the theme manager and trying different things.
Give it a go, apply it all, or just whatever you want.
Download: here. Only download when there is also an ienet-X.mtz-checksums.txt file, and be sure the hashes match!
There's also a "Nothing Fancy" ROM, which can be found here. The theme is included and set as default in it.
If you want my badly skinned blue keyboard grab it here.
Metalic wallpaper and lockscreen attached.
Nice theme you have there. Maybe shifting this thread to android development would help it gain more popularity. =)

Thanks, but I'm not really a rom chef or themer, just wanted to share my little theme which is a collection of bits and pieces from other themes, I take no credit for creating it. I just use it on my stripped down MIUI, which I'm also sharing, but doesn't deserve a thread.

I NEED A ROM SPECIFICALLY FOR A GIRL!!! I know they have them out there!! Need one for my baby, her name is evo 4g.

Oh and I have found the most amazing roms, then I have to flash a girly theme onto it
Again, help a girl out....Oh and be on the lookout for me soon. My kitchen is set up, taking some class's then its on for the girls to rom it up!!!!

You're not gonna find a ROM for a girl. You need to find a theme that's more feminine. If you run MIUI, there are probably a lot of options in the built in theming

Its nice to have you here,i myself will find it quite interesting to have a femme dev pushing out roms,girly or not.I'll be the first to test them out.As far as a good rom that might possibly have a girly theme for you is...MikG's rom.... MikG 3.0 its a sense 2.1 + 3.0 rom and theres tons of themes for it...2.1 Skins I hope you find this helpful and welcome to XDA forums.
