Pretty please help me. - Upgrading, Modifying and Unlocking

I am located in Hawaii, with the carrier Mobi PCS. I think it's quite similar to Metro PCS.
I bought a HTC Touch Pro. I had the "basic" unlock through a company to unlock the phone itself and text messaging for Mobi PCS (as this was originally a Sprint phone)
The company offered a "FULL" unlock so that I could use the picture messaging and web services with Mobi PCS. But they also offered it at a price of $55.
Can anyone guide me as to what I must do to unlock the picture and web services on my own?? Send me a link to where I could find more information....anything that would help. I've been searching and searching for days now, and still nothing. Decided to post and see if anyone could help before I dish out 55 bucks.
Please please please help me. Any information would help.

BlackBerry 8520 Curve Unlock

Is it possible to Sim unlock Black-Berry 8520 Curve. I have tried asking the carrier, but they refused to help. Could someone give me the unlock code or would forward me to the concerned site. Who give it for free.
I don't want to spend any money on it(Unlocking).
Thanks
yes it possible to unlock!!!!!!
hi buddy,
I have personally bought the code for my Blackberry Storm from unlockgenie.com. It is because they have good reviews on most of the mobile phone forums. I got my phone unlocked successfully from that website. I think their codes don't fail. The web link for the above mentioned web site is unlockgenie.com
hi,
it is possible to unlock your blackberry 8520 Curve through unlocking codes.mostly the network providers wont respond properly and wont give it soon too and don't go for free site because the code generated by them may goes wrong sometimes so its better to get it from the 3rd parties paid sites such as theunlockarena.com .why I'm saying is if you enter wrong codes more than 10 means you mobile get hard locked and it become unusable.so don't take risk.if you have wish just visit the site.here you need to give your IMEI number to them and they'll provide you code with step by step instructions.then
yeah bro, use codes, heres one: http://www.blackberryfreedom.com/?gclid=CIW6u6XzuKwCFQVlhwodqVwaHw

I rescue this post because I'm now interested in unlocking a BB 8520.
Did anybody do it recently from 1$?
All I have found is from 5-10$
Tks in advance!
Its almost free now, you just have to read the mep (search google for mep reader)
then calculate unlock code with MEP+IMEI (search google for MEP calculator)
It finally worked ok. I just payd by ebay 1€ and it was done in less than 24 hours ^^
Tks!

No one can give you unlock code for free. and dont try to enter incorrect unlock code. because it will block your blackberry. if you want to unlock your blackberry only use trusted sites. order your Blackberry unlock code from blackberrymep.com this site charge very reasonable price.
Actually I already did it through Ebay for 1$

In my personal experience free unlocking services are not safe.So better you can use any paid unlocking service.I would recommend Unbblock.com .Here you need to specify Country name and service provider of your phone. Then they provide unlock code with free step by step instructions at low cost. This is safe and secure.
Hello everyone.
There is the MEP reader, & MEP Calculator.
These works great!

hi
if t-mobile didn't provide you the codes why don't you try the other online providers like Unlocking4U.com to unlock your phone.

Amazon Fire Phone, I require assistance Unlocking the SIM Card from AT&T.

TL DR: I'm searching for a free IMEI unlock code site or tool.
I recently purchased an Amazon Fire Phone in the U.S. from a third party (ebay-us). The seller was not sure if the phone was locked or not but in the description it did highlight AT&T.
When I received the phone, I found it locked to AT&T as there is an AT&T Sim Card in the device.
First, I attempted to use the AT&T device unlock website: new user prevented from posting outside links in their messages
Two days later, I received an email stating: We weren't able to process your request because the device is no longer supported by the manufacturer and we couldn't obtain an unlock code.
So, I called them, and they directed me to Amazon.
Second, I attempted to contact Amazon. Here is that response.
I'm sorry, but I'm unable to unlock your Fire phone.
If you currently own a Fire phone that was purchased with an AT&T two-year contract or Next plan, your phone may be eligible to be unlocked based on AT&T's unlock policies. For more information about AT&T’s unlock policies, I encourage you to check with AT&T at 1-800-331-0500, or visit their website at: [new user prevented from posting outside links in their messages]
If your device was purchased from a retailer other than Amazon, please confirm to the retailer if the device was purchased originally from Amazon.com by getting the Amazon.com Order ID.
You can reach Fire Phone Support directly and toll free from many countries by clicking the Contact Us option on our support pages: [new user prevented from posting outside links in their messages]
Contacting us through the website allows you to verify security before a call is placed and ensures we have your account information ready when we call you. If you need help with your Fire phone, please make sure you have it with you when you contact us, along with your power adapter and any additional accessories. If you wish to return the device, you'll need to return the item directly to that retailer. Amazon cannot directly accept the return of Firephone devices or accessories purchased from other retailers. Please contact the retailer from which you bought your item for more information about their return policy.
Thanks for your interest in Fire phone.
I attempted to contact the retail seller and ask them for an original Amazon Order ID. As you can imagine, that led no where. But, it does seem that if I was able to acquire an Amazon Order ID (on a receipt or email of original purchase) this would resolve it and I'd be able to acquire an unlock code.
Third, I called AT&T and was informed that since this phone was never registered with an AT&T contract (it has no phone # tethered to the phone firmware) that they were unable to unlock the phone. As I conversed with the Support Rep, I discovered this is not a matter of impossibility, but rather a matter of AT&T Policy. They could simply send me an unlock code, but per their procedures, were unable to assist me as I couldn't me their criteria. I was again redirected to Amazon.
Fourth, I called Amazon, and discussed this with a Support Rep. I was again informed that I needed to Contact AT&T to retrieve an unlock code. As I conversed with this Amazon Support Rep. I, again, discovered that it was not impossible to unlock the phone. In a situation, where I could bribe him with money, he could theoretically send me an unlock code. He clarified and told me it was a matter of policy and that he couldn't give me an unlock code as a matter of policy.
He suggested that I could take the phone to a retail mobile shop and they might offer an unlock service. This means, that it is not entirely restricted to AT&T and Amazon, as both have simply redirected me to the other. However, I'm unable to find any unlocking suggestions on xda. But, if retail is capable of unlocking it, then, it seems there should be something somewhere on the internet that provides these tools or solutions.
What can I say. I didn't attempt to bribe the fellow as their calls are recorded. But, I left him with the suggestion that he has my email address and that I look forward to those details on third parties which can unlock the sim card for me. We'll see if that works. But, boy, has this locked sim become a burden. Does anyone reading this have a link to Amazon Fire Phone Unlocking SIM Cards Eazy Guides? Or, Tools? I have gone through this, but it wasn't very helpful to my situation. [new user prevented from posting outside links in their messages]
If anyone knows of alternative methods of unlocking the sim card, I'm all ears. I may end up simply returning the phone and requesting a refund. But, I'd prefer to find a solution which actually unlocks it instead. I need help finding a PUK Code for my phone.
My first Amazon phone I bought over a year ago and was able to to get unlocked by ATT no issues. Recently, I bought second ATT amazon phone that was never used, at a local computer store and went through same exact experience that you went through. They stopped supporting or unlocking the phone at Amazon and ATT. I even paid third-party on eBay for unlock code but they just refunded me after three days saying that they were unable to get an unlock code. I wasted a lot of time with that phone, and in the end I just sold it luckily for the same price I bought it for. I was able find unlocked, brand new on eBay for $88. Funny, after I bought on eBay, someone was selling one like new unlocked on craigslist for $40, so I bought that too lol.
I would suggest sell it, save your time and effort and just buy unlocked on eBay, as they are so cheap. Be careful who you buy from on eBay, make sure they explicitly state that it is unlocked. Due to the age of model, also try buy a new one because a used one most likely will have old used up battery in it. The seller I bought from sold me a brand new phone that was still wrapped in plastic, came with box and the original headphones. I think seller was bid4best, can search them on eBay. Good luck.

Anyone heard of Visible (Verizon) Wireless?

Are there are any other Visible users on here? Visible is owned and operated by Verizon (it's not a MVNO). They are offering unlimited unthrottled data/talk/text/hotspot for $40/month without contract. I switched about 10 days ago. Speedtests are as high as 103Mbps! Got the deal to get the S9 for $408-$200 MasterCard they'll send in 6 weeks to equal $208. Service is exceptional and the S9 is factory unlocked. WiFi calling and Visual Voicemail work too. If anyone is interested, you can input code wQ8bD at checkout to get your first bill for only $20.

I'm trying the service, but I find that Visible seems to prevent the use of a VPN. (I use Private Internet Access.) T-Mobile doesn't have a problem with VPN so I'm not sure why Verizon's Visible does.
I'm using NordVPN with my S9 without issue. What VPN are you using?

I am looking to go with Visible, but need the VPN. I too have PIA. Are you using the PIA app or the OpenVPN app on your phone?

I have the PIA apk from the Google Play store. The Visible apk is the beta version, also from the Play store. I rebooted the phone after several package updates were delivered by Google this afternoon. And now PIA (updated 22 May) and Visible (updated 12 July) seem to be working together. So yeah, that's good news. Give Visible a try.
If you need a code mine is: wNmt8 (Full disclosure: Both you and I get a discount if you use that code. I don't have any relationship with Verizon, aside from just the cell service.)
So I learned Visible is selling the ZTE R2 phone temporarily for ONLY $19 ($20.52 shipped) and I asked Customer Support if I could buy one for a backup phone since they don't offer insurance. The rep said if I create a new account and buy the phone but don't activate the SIM I won't ever be charged for service and I'll have a spare phone for $20 so that's what I did. It will be interesting to play with. If you would like to get your first bill for $20 my referral code is wQ8bD
I am using it on an S9 and if you understand it ONLY works on Verizon and there is no roaming you will do fine.
As an aside, I am trying to change the SIM Pin and require it at boot as an additional way to secure the phone. Visible will not, or cannot provide the default SIM Pin. Anyone know what it is?
I am going to give them a shot. I will be moving my GF from Meto. Metro is getting on my nerves. We cant swap the sim without them throwing a fit. Also, the store employes state we need to pay them 10 to swap the IMEI BS if you ask me. But Visible will let me turn in my OLD iPhone 5C to get credit for that free ZTE phone they are passing out. Looks like they will give you the phone no matter what. Will report back on how good the services are in Charlotte NC. I have Verizon should be a good comparison.
Visible works well in Central and Northern WI with the exception of Marathon County which has no native Verizon towers.
it seems that its one of the myriad of the MVNOs out there.
Visible pin might be 1212
I'm new here and on a phone, I could t find how to reply...
For the person who asked about the pin for the sim, try 1212, that's the account pin (found on reddit)
And I wanted to ask the person who was able to root this device, how he did it? I got the g960u1 from visible last Wednesday, and I've been trying to root it or at least get twrp, with no success... I would love any help in this matter, thanks in advance
Thanks, can anyone try 1212 on there phone? I only have one more try before the phone locks and I need a new SIM from Visible. That means at least 24 hours without a phone.
A user on Reddit tried 1212 and it did not work.
Can anyone try 1111?
It is 1111, confirmed

Question Carrier Sim unlock help

Hello.
I’ve got a Samsung S22 I purchased from Samsung’s website when it came out (about 1 year ago). It came in an At&t branded box, and it is indeed locked to At&t. I requested an unlock code through them, they said they aren’t able to provide unlock code Because “it is not in the database of devices sold by At&t”
I’ve called At&t several times and each time they tell me the same thing.
I did reach out to Samsung and they said they have no unlock codes, only the carriers can provide this.
The odd thing is that I bought two phones at the exact same time and one of them was able to be unlocked by requesting the code from AT&T’s site.. it took about 5 minutes and they emailed me the code.
I’m curious if there is any other way to unlock, or am I just stuck?
I do see people selling unlock services on eBay or other sites.. Do these people have other methods, or are they just somehow “tapping in” to AT&T’s database?
Any guidance is greatly appreciated!
Thanks.
Give a link of the site of the store where you bought both phones.
Directly from samsung.com, got the pre order discounts with trade in.
I'm sorry for your purchase problems.
Check your documentation carefully if you ordered both phones as unlocked (or US Cellular) on the order.
If so, refer to your order and demand that Samsung fulfill its sales commitment.
If you ordered AT&T, you should indeed receive the codes from AT&T.
The vendor, Samsung, is responsible for their absence from the database.
When speaking with Samsung help line 800.726.7864, each time they are adamant that they can't provide unlock codes, only the carriers.
Any idea how I would proceed?
Review the order page and see if it says they don't supply the code.
Don't talk to a regular consultant, but demand a call or email contact to sales support or something like that.
Even better if you write an email, which will cause them to have to respond in writing, so that you have proof of correspondence. In that case, don't talk on the phone again.
Let them know what they claim at AT&T about the device not being in their database, which could mean that Samsung is not reliably fulfilling its sales offer. Since it didn't send the device number to AT&T, so it should have done so, since it offered the phone for AT&T's network.
