WTB; HTC touch pro 2, £300 - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Windows Mobile General

Tried everywhere else & iv found the market place here to be fruitless so figured id try it here in case anyone is looking to get shot of it.
Im after one in good condition, and dont mind driving to collect it or meeting half way. I spend time in the UK, Coventry/Leicester/Peterborough due to university, family & girlfriend. England only please.
They go for around £340 on scambay, and around £300 on other forums (avforums - quite a large classified forum there for mobiles) so ideally id look to pay around the £300 mark, cash on collection.
If anyone is looking to get shot of one feel free to drop me a PM, or post here.
Cheers guys

Move to marketplace
Please use marketplace section, it works!

My apologies, ill focus my efforts in there from now on. This was a bit of a shot in the dark anyway!
thanks

hard to find accessories- requests welcome

I have just made a contact through my company where i will be able to get accessories for the xda2s and other HTC devices at a good price.
Im that fed up of searching for things for the xda2s and only getting a couple results off ebay so i decided to do something about it.
i haven't got prices but i should be able to get some deals on:
GPS car kits
Car kits
Batteries
Cases
or anything else which you might want
the only thing is that i will have to buy some of these items in bulk so i just want to get a feel for what peeps want.
PM if you want a specific item i can get a price for you
please don't delete this post because im technically selling. Thinking about it im not selling anything I haven't got anything to sell at the moment maybe think of it as a service for those hard to find accessories.
your comments welcome
Rob
I don't even know if what I want exists yet. But you can see what I want in the following thread:

If you have anything like that (or can get it) let me know...

We should have a Buy/Sell/Trade forum

Hey why don't we have one???
I recently found someone on this site that got a Jam from me. I would rather give the great XDA-Developers.com members a chance before trying to sell it on eBay.
I totally agree!
Me too. I've had a lot of help from this site, and have recommended it to friends who also have found it very useful. I posted this a couple of days ago:
"I know that this is not a selling forum, but I've had a lot of help over quite a long time from this site so would like to help out fellow members if I can. If this is not acceptable to the moderators I'm sorry, but here goes:
I've got an XDA2 that has been dropped. The screen is fine, but it's permanently locked into "Calendar" mode and cycles through all the calendar views and options. In all other ways it is in very good condition. It receives and makes calls, and all the functions are available, but I can't always turn it off. It's boxed and complete with cradle, charger, earphones, case, software, manuals, etc., and I'm sure that someone with a bit more time than me could make use of it. It's not stolen, or from any other dubious source - I've upgraded and just don't have the time at the moment - I wish I did, but that's the way it goes".
I think that the whole XDA-developers community could benefit if, for instance, the seller donated, let's say, 10% of the agreed selling price to the site. I think that's fair and gives XDA-developer members the chance to benefit rather than the auction sites. I looked at eBay in order to sell the item I've mentioned above, and I'm new to Ebay, but it looks over-complicated for what I want to do with an item that I know is faulty.
There may be other issues that might make things difficult, but if people are honest in their descriptions I don't see a big problem. Caveat emptor - let the buyer beware - if you're not happy about something, don't do it.
I think there's room for discussion on this matter.

Orbit for Sale

Nearly New Orbit in mint condition includes all accessories in the box apart from hands free and all the boxes and manuals etc. are included, if someone could tell me if its possible to pass on the copilot live software included that will be included as well.
Will be able to travel to swap but don't want to post, can knock some off the price if you are willing to travel. Make me an offer, will post pictures up tomorrow afternoon because its at my mums,
chris
Mod edit: This thread has been closed. Please don't make your first post a solicitation to sell anything.
Chris,
Give us a clue as to where you are and what sort of price you are looking at please
Thx

XDA censored on Softbank's password?

Maybe I am not good anymore at searching using Google, but there was a recent thread posting Softbank's password for flat fee plan that seems to have completely disappeared...
Am I completely paranoid or this thread has just been deleted?
why?

Click to collapse
not paranoid, man. Sobody complained and the post was censored out. Now, I wonder why XDA would bother doing that when once the cat has been let out of the bag, the thing could end up on any web page. I just don't get it. Consider also that the guy who posted it found it on a Japanese site (where softbank are more likely to find it posted, since it is in Japanes, right? So if the point of censoring it was to ensure that softbank did not change the password (again) then that failed.... since the thing is still out in the wild. Anyway, I just dont get it.
That may e true, but XDA could still get its backside kicked and have legal problems if Softbank found out. The legalities could very well mean the end of XDA...
Better to cover your arse than bend over knowing the foots coming...
Cheers...
XDA is not hosted in Japan as far as I know...
Very difficult for Softbank to go far on any kind of legal action (Except sueing the guy who posted the apssword since in all likeliness he is living in Japan...)
Nevermind, I was wise enough to save it
Thinking about purchasing a Touch HD and using this password to use it in Japan... since I believe it wont be available in Japan before a while
Or I ll just be lazy and buy the Touch Pro from Softbank (Will cost me less but the phone is a bit more bulky..)
When is the Touch Pro coming to Softbank? Oh, did you know about the Touch Diamond over at E-mobile? (only 100 yen up front for a 2 yr contact, 2000 a month rental). Anyway, together with all-you-can-eat data, phone, rental you pay between 5-7 thousand yen a month, from memory. Oh and the actually encourage you to use theirs in conjunction with a computer (as a wireless) at no extra cost. Might be the way to go.....

Or, any other suggestions/dates of when touch HD etc are coming to Japan would be great. I heard AU were getting the Raphael early next year... that's as much as I know.
Hello everyone,
we were discussing with larsuck on the best way to make this info available. It's not censorship, it's just people wanted that Softbank be aware of it at the latest time possible.
So I asked by myself to remove my thread. No pressure of Softbank. I just get "pressured" from Xda-Dev users. I was angry at some point. But now I can see the point. If anyone need some info, PM larsuck or me.
Toni
Edit : for anyone who needs explanations, please go to larsuck excellent post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=441400
Everything is clarified.

[BETA] Aluminum Case design for HTC ONE - Looking for couple/few Beta Testers

EDITED for UPDATE:
BETA CLOSED - Thanks to everyone for your interest and comments!
The Badasscase for the HTC ONE has been Released - Picture below!
End of EDIT
Hello XDA Members!
I am looking for a couple people to beta test a PROTOTYPE version of my cases for the HTC ONE.
Interested in people who can provide detailed feedback, enjoy experimenting, and hopefully have some knowledge of building/fabrication/hard core tinkering, etc. - Also, "vision" is a major plus... what I mean is if you are the type of person who sees and old, rusty, beat up classic car... and you immediately visualize the "Showcar" in your mind.
This is limited to the USA for shipping costs (which I will cover) and you absolutely MUST own the HTC ONE.
Social media nuts, bloggers, reviewers, would also be a plus.
I will be posting some pictures of the prototypes on Monday or Tuesday, and am also looking for feedback here on the different designs I have going so far.
If interested, shoot me a PM and please let me know a little bit about yourself! I will probably not reply back until Sunday/Monday, but I will reply to everyone who inquires.
Thanks

Might be interested too. Love to see what you have in mind
I'm buying my HTC One tomorrow and I'd be totally down to testing this out.
I'm interested.
I'd wanna test it out, but I'm in Aus. What if I was willing to pay postage ?
Edit: And of course, I do have a HTC One too.
I would like to beta test! I currently have my HTC One
In Florida, ordered my Stealth Black today, definitely interested.
Update : Picked up my Glacier Silver today.
HTC One Beta Tester Application
I would like to participate!
I'm in Florida and I have my HTC One in hand and would love to help you out!!
I have my silver One in hand. I'm in PA. I've also had several aluminum cases for my various other phones, so I might be able to offer you some insight in that regard.
Definitely interested, in California, with a silver One.
Also, if it helps I have a 1983 supra restored + modded (showcar, haha)
Man this is right up my alley as a conceptual design engineer.....shame I'm in the UK.....let me know if you want any drawings thrown together......
Sent from my Tricked out 'One'
Thanks for the overwhelming response!
Hello all,
Thanks for the huge response! I have a ton of PM's to go through and will be doing so throughout the day. I will make some decisions within the next 24-48 hours.
As far as shipping outside the US, there are a few reasons for this. Mainly the time delay involved getting it shipped/received.
From the responses, it seems some of you have not seen any of the cases I have done. I was thinking most would see my signature, but alas that doesn't show up when viewing from a phone (as far as I know). So below is a link to my facebook page (also in my sig) to give you an idea of what the case is going to be like.
In late March I prototyped the HTC ONE from pictures for this first run and have a company that laser cuts these for me. And I have 5 variations of "backs" and 2 "fronts" that I will have tomorrow. It takes a couple weeks to get parts from my vendor, so I have to be quick with my designs!
Since having my ONE, I have made some adjustments to the design, and will be double checking everything tomorrow with the first set of prototype parts. I will be sending off "version 2" later this week for a small production run in order to have product ready and available as quickly as possible for an upcoming trade show.
What I am looking for in testers, is mainly someone who can and will do some of the following.
Testing signals - Network/Wifi/Bluetooth/GPS/NFC etc.
An example, GPS - Let your significant other drive, while you have your ONE in the case and another similar android phone (no case) set to the same destination. During this trip, take notes of both phones if/when they lose GPS lock, how long it takes to reestablish GPS lock. Any differences between the two devices should be noted.
Also, as a control, run the same route, with both phones without a case taking the same notes to compare. With case/without case.
My main concern it signals. I do not want the case to degrade the ability of the phone in any way!
In my current production case for the HTC EVO 4G LTE (Full Back), the only issue is NFC, which is non-functional because of the aluminum back. For this reason I created an "open back" version to have a fully functional device. I prefer to have just one version for the ONE.
I will of course be running a multitude of tests myself, but am looking to compare my experience with a few other users to ensure a perfect product!
Also, I know some of you will be able to provide ideas/feedback that I might not think of. I do not plan to change much in my physical designs, but might do so according the feedback I receive.
Again, thanks for all of the PM's and I will be getting back to everyone within the next day... in the meantime, check the facebook page to see a few of the EVO LTE cases!
