NEW Panels Available on PlayNow - XPERIA X1 Themes and Apps

Sony Ericsson has released some new panels on their PlayNow Arena.
Panels added (as of 12/05/09):
-Facebook BETA (X2)
-Twitter
-LiveJournal
-Youtube
-Tracker (X2)
SE also added Pixel City Day & Night links on PlayNow.
I got really excited about trying these out, so I might have skipped some added ones

UPDATE! [01/31/10]
Twitter X2 Panel was released today at PlayNow. Not sure what the difference would be, but it seems like it sports some new features, because of the file size difference.
Also, an On-the-Road Panel for the X2 was released as well.

Personal Rating for Panels
Twitter Panel: 9/10
-Same UI as Facebook Panel, gives a seamless look when switching over
-Takes just as long to load as Facebook Panel
-Nice light blue interface, revamped buttons in terms of shadowing, etc.
Facebook Panel BETA: 7/10
-I haven't noticed much of a difference yet with the old and new, other than minor performance tweaks. Maybe some type of integration with another app..?
-Slightly faster loading times than original
-Typos and minor punctuation fixed
Youtube Panel: ?/10
-Yet to be installed.
-X2 Panel Manager and Google Youtube Player required to use.
LiveJournal Panel: ?/10
-I don't have a LiveJournal account, but it's UI from the log in screen is similar to FB and Twitter Panels.
-Looks like it was rushed a little bit to be compiled, b/c the panel description is the same as Facebook's description when selecting the panel.
Tracker Panel: ?/10
-ALSO, yet to be installed.
-I think X2 Panel Manager is required for this Panel. It's a Java program; it gives an error message when it opens during installation, and error message from installation window.
Twitter X2 Panel: 9/10
-Not sure what the difference is between X1 and X2 panels. Will check the cab registries later on.
On-the-Road Panel X2: 9/10
-Gives the option to choose the maps application you want to use. (Displays all start menu items)
-Same GPS loading times as X1 Panel, but I didn't expect that to be updated.
-Finds the amount of songs in a specific folder faster (around 50% less time; depends on amount of files)

Is there a big difference between the x1 facebook panel, and the x2 facebook panel?

Not from what I see atm.
The most I see is the performance change in the "bubble view" for status updates.

When oh when will someone get a brain and create something usefull like a Gmail panel?

Or an FML Panel, perhaps? I like to keep updated with my FMLs.
There also is the Google Panel that links to Gmail, but it's kind of useless.

Any way to link straight to a panel rather than the panels app?

Not completely sure. Pubba made a panel launcher for the MediaXperience and Radio Panels, but that's basically it.
Linking straight to a panel kind of defies the purpose of it as well, but you could do a little research.

I basically just want the facebook panel packaged as an app as the standard winmo one is awful and this one is lovely

Where is the pictures?

Well, you can either:
1) Install the panel on your device to see what it's like; or
2) Go the the PlayNow arena and view the screenshots (if available)
I don't see the need to post screenshots, as the panels look exactly the same, and close to everyone in the XPERIA X1 section of the forum has an X1.

NRG Weather 3.0 - "The pretty version..."

Here's Chome Weather 3.0 with a 10 day forecast. Download the cab and enjoy.
1) Install the cab in the link at the bottom of the post.
2) It should ask to reboot ! Press "Ok"
3) Go to your Start Menu and find "Weather Options", or go down to the Settings slide on your homescreen and the second slide will be the CHome Weather options slide.
Set your Zip / Location Code to your zip code if you're in the US or a "location code" if you're anywhere else (ex: ROXX003 for Bucharest). More info on finding your specific code is here http://developer.yahoo.com/weather/#req . Set the "Fahrenheit / Celsius" option. This will only affect the reading of the current conditions panels, not the text descriptions in the forecast panels. Those will always be in Fahrenheit.
Specify whether you would like the application to attempt to connect your default GPRS connection first, before updating. If you have a constant data connection on, leave this on "N". Finally you can turn off the autoupdate feature with the last option #7.
4) Now it might be a good idea to go to Start and find "Update Weather" and run it to update the weather data! Alternatively you can click the center button while you're on any of the forecast panels.
5) The cab should set your Home Screen to "Sliding Panel + Weather!" automatically.
6) Enjoy and report any bugs you might encounter, please.
New features:
- New 6 day forecast layout (layout #7)
- Autoupdate using Yahoo's server time. No manual control over update interval anymore.
- Revised layouts to ensure correct wrapping
- HomeScreen update feature. No need to reboot to see forecast or layout changes. This option is turned off by default because it doesn't work for everybody. If you turn it on and you see problems with your phone's radio turning off, phone becoming very slow etc... turn it off. (it's option #10)
- Added new panel to the Settings panel at the bottom for easy access to the weather updates and settings.
- "Stardock icons" are default for forecast and regular panels.
Screenshot descriptions:
1- IPhone Layout (this is the default layout)
2- Forecast Panels screenshot
3- Slim Panels Layout with the background options enabled
4- HTC Slim Layout while updating
5- HTC Slim Layout in normal mode
6- The HomeScreen with the weather plugin in its "condensed" state at the bottom, showing current conditions
7- Regular Panel Layout with no background.
8- IPhone Slim Layout

Vox Version (Currently still at 3.0.1) > http://www.sendspace.com/file/0bie7d
Current Version: 3.1
Changes in 3.1
- Rearranged the order the various subroutines run.
- Fixed autoupdate issue.
- Removed HTC icons and background PNGs from the cab. Please download them separately from the addons post if you plan to use those layouts.
- Added option to show extended forecast panels on the homescreen or not.
- Added detection routine to detect if your phone's keypad is locked and NOT to update the homescreen is that's the case. Should help with the "Phone - Incoming" message problem that's been reported
- Edited some CPRs for better alignment
- More verbose status messages
- Etc...
More to come soon. The next version will update your clock panel with current conditions info. Just wanted to get this update out of the way first.
Changes in 3.0.1:
- Added 6 day forecast layout.
- Autoupdate feature based on Yahoo server's time.
- Small bugfixes, revised Options panel.
- Compressed PNGs.
- Complete portrait support for the new 6 day layout.
- Background used in screenshots included in .cab.
Changes to 2.0.3:
- completely redesigned Options panel. Hopefully things will be easier to get around. Now it tell you what the current layout used is.
- Fixed HTC Layout (5) text not wrapping down issue.
- Added option NOT to check for internet connection before connecting.
- Options panel keeps track of what layout you're running.
- added blue, purple, WM7 style or original glass panel selection to options panel.
- updated portrait CPRs.
- forecast panels should now display "N/A" icons when a forecast is not available instead of a red x.
- ability to choose between european ("rest of the world pretty much...) or american style dates on the forecast panels.
If you like this application and feel the need to support my work, here's a link to donate to me via PayPal.

DO NOT install this to the storage card. It will not work that way!
p.s. Portrait support is included for the new 6 day layout.
p.s.s. The cab seems to take a few minutes to install, especially if you're installing over 2.0.3. So just be patient I guess...
Update to 3.1
Only install this if you have 3.0.1 or 3.0.2 installed. Otherwise, download the cab in the sendspace link above and install the whole app.
This is the "addons" post.
Added "NRG Power Key..... .cab This will add three options to the menu that comes up when you hit the power key on the side of your Excalibur. "Power off", "Reboot" and "Weather Update". I hope they're self explanatory Have fun. Take note your wireless manager might be gone, or might act erracticaly. If you have problems, just install the cab. Don't post in the thread about it, there's nothing I can do about it.
Download the Calibri font mod if you want your system font to look like the one in the screenshots.
The Yahoo, Spil, Novaweather and 7Degree icon sets are alternative icons sets for most of your layouts and extended forecast panels
Most of the icons sets install as a one time installation application. Which means you will not see it in the "uninstallable" list of program under "Settings". Once you run the cab, it will overwrite whatever icons are installed and that's it...
Reserved... the last one.. I promise
Looks niiice i will be testing on Portrait (tornado)
Good Job
So far so good on my Q9c. Last version had to be uninstalled due to a couple of crashes. The worst being when I plugged into the computer the home screen crashed and would not recover after a reboot.
Like the new layout.
Formatting on QVGA
Incredible progress!
I've attached two SS's from my QVGA, using your layout #9 (Standard 6 day which is only 4 day by the way). As you can see, the bottom Temps are not lined up in either F or C and I looked at the CPR, but it is like Greek to me... I see "Bottom Temps" but fiddling and restarting gives me either to the Right or Left - I don't suppose there is a GUI for modding these CPRs is there?
Can you assist in getting it all lined up?
Thanks and keep up the GREAT work! Expect some more PayPal coming your way!
The new layout looks beautiful. The one thing i might suggest: You may want to add an option in advanced options to turn off the 10 day forecast. Since it appears that im going to be using this 6 day testpluginui ( and several others will be too) they may not want or need the additional 10 day forecast panel.
I personally know how to disable it via the registry, but others may not. Secondly, If that option is de-selected, if you can also put in the weather.mscr file to not update that panel, so that way the weather updater runs a little faster.
Edit: I also think that today's Hi/Lo under the city needs to be removed. Its kind of redundant info, since the same info is located in the 6 day forecast located in the first day of the 6 day forecast.
This will also allow more room for lengthier weather condition names.
Damn,
Free service is at full capacity, hope someone can mirror it later.....
I'm anxious to try it
I installed on my Q9c and I still get that font issue with large text boxes in PIE, however, I'm willing to put up with it at this point since the 6-day layout means I don't have to reboot the phone to see the latest forecast.
Any idea what might be causing the font issue? Since this weather panel is basically just scripts reading XML files and making registry changes, I can't imagine that it'd be too hard to figure out what's causing the PIE font issue. The font issue isn't a huge deal and I'd completely ignore it if it weren't for the fact that the digital font makes no differentiation between upper and lower case and many special characters just show up as boxes.
I dumped the 10-day panel and added a link to the Weather Update in my links panel if I ever decide to manually update the weather.

It may be the chome_320X240.cpr file in your /windows directory. When you load a layout. his program pulls .cprs from the chomeweather directory and replaces your original chome_320X240.cpr file ... you may uninstall. copy over your chome320X240.cpr file do your PC's desktop and open it and whatever .cpr file you use for the weather layout and compare the differences.
Glad you guys like it. I'm sorry the portrait guys are still experiencing issues, like the misalignment of the bottom temps. However, the issue needs to be taken care of in the weather.mscr file, not the cpr file. I think I will switch to png rendering of the bottom temps instead of relying on text handled by the plugin. It's just not reliable at all and the temps are always a little misaligned....
Look for 3.0.1 at the end of the day... LOL

I second that, the testui pluig in is enough for me, I already remove the welcome center because is no need to get it on the screen, anyway it looks besutiful, great work......
Great work as always, man. Amazing how you fit so much information in such a small place.
Personally, I'm sticking with the NRG Slim layout for now. Going for the "less is more" effect
Whats Vox version and how do i get my NRG Colored panels with the 5 day forcast like on PIcture 4?

Point taken. I will remove the "hi -lo" in the top left corner and make enabling the welcome center an option
Excuse me for the question, but will this app work on regular WM6, or it only works with WM 6.1 Chome?
No chances to have a version for WM6?

this app is specifically written for the sliding panel homescreen. The sliding panel homescreen is only available on the WM 6.1 platform. So no. it does not and will not work on the WM6 interface
I've got the shakes...
Oh man... I SO wanna download this and "finagle" while I'm here at work, but I'll need to edit my cpr and it's too cumbersome trying to do it from the phone (instead of on my PC desktop). Blast! My love for boldened titles hinders me from enjoying this .cab this instant! lol

30 MARCH 2009: PANELS TESTING ON R2A UK and NAM ROMs
New R3A Panel Manager -> Tested OK, but must install ActiveX Deployment first !!! This is the english version but will install OK into any other language (not guaranteed to work)
My opinions: faster transitions, better animations, smooth, and best of all: YOUR LAST ACTIVE PANEL IS AUTO LOADED AFTER A SOFT RESET: DEFINITIVELY WORTH UPGRADING
BUGS: Since this new panel manager comes from an english ROM, I have tested it ON ENGLISH ROM ONLY. I have seen occasional freezes and the taskmanager "x" button disappears from some panels - INSTALL IT AT YOUR OWN RISK
On the road PANEL -> Tested OK, ActiveX Deployment and new Panel Manager are not required
My opinions: GREAT panel with big finger-friendly buttons for GPS, phone, mp3, etc when "on the road"; A MUST !!
CNN PANEL -> Tested OK, requires ActiveX Deployment and new Panel Manager
My opinions: Gives me weather and handy news, cool interface and fast animations; Bye bye TF3D !! (my last missing from TF3D was the weather tab)
Growing PANEL -> Tested OK, requires ActiveX Deployment, new Panel Manager not required
My opinions: Sort of "3D fishes" but beautiful, colourful and meaningful: every bug/plant means something from battery level to wifi signal strength, missing calls or new emails etc. Great chick-magnet and relaxing screensaver, I even kept it as my default panel by the time being; YOU'VE GOTTA CHECK IT OUT !! Cons: battery sucker (mostly because you'll love it so much you'll keep the screen turned on more time )
New Media Xperience PANEL -> Tested OK, requires ActiveX Deployment and new Panel Manager
My opinions: Radio ncluded, greatly enhanced, faster transitions, pics displayed lightspeed, loads my 800 mp3 in a breeze and even adding album art (thumb cached ??) GREAT IMPROVEMENT OVER R2A !!
EDIT 02 APR 09:
ALL R3A PANELS ARE NOW WORKING OK OVER R2A ROM:
STABLE, ZERO FREEZES, VERY SMOOTH AND FASTER THAN PREVIOUS VERSION
No resets after 24 hours of intensive use, switching between panels very often
CONS: "x" taskmanager button is missing in some panels
(don't know if this is a real "bug" or normal behaviour because the "x" button was also missing in the original 3D Fish panel and other panels)
Enjoy
can the new panels including the panel mgr be installed in stock rom such as R2A?
I have added the most recent testing information to post 2
So far I have installed the new panel manager, CNN panel, on the road panel, growing panel and the new Media Xperience panel on my stock ROM Xperia and all is OK
Zero problems after 1 day of usage
I compiled the CAB with hardcoded paths intending to completely override the previous version (it will be auto-uninstalled) to avoid conflicts, and seems to be working fine
I'll upload the new MXP panel too, but only when I finish testing its stability over R2A

Yep, just make sure you install the SE Flash Deployment cab.
You ever going to upgrade your nav panel? I love it and would love some new features.

Full R3A ?? I guess not, unless somebody translates it all, file by file
But in the mean time I am still working on some more good chunks and bites from R3A
Regarding panels,
- Added more panels, including the official Sony Ericsson "on the road" panel, improved from the previously leaked one
- Added a small opinion of each one into the second post, and it's test status over R2A ROM
Now the library has more that two dozen panels
If you find more panels around, please help me to keep it growing and updated

I'd suggest "device"
Your Xperia has enough internal memory to handle whatever you throw at it
- Everything will definitively work faster from the internal memory
- Installing to internal memory avoids any possible bug/problem
- In the end, these are relatively "small" apps and won't consume too much memory (a couple MB is nothing compared to TF3D's > 40 MB space-hungry requirements)
Ok installed Active X Deployment, then the other 2 applications(new panel manager, growing panel) got them installed....but the panel does not show in panel manager....shrugs....
Found out by default it does not show...you have to go to settings....click on one of the blank spaces with the suitcase looking icon...and select the growing panel....
Xperia Tweak Panel option doesnt work with the new panel manager.
WC
Not having a lot of luck here, the panel manager and ActiveX deployment files install fine.
Media Experience immediately quits stating installation was unsuccessful
Growing panel installs but does not show up on the panel list (No i didn't forget to go to the actual panel selection pane )
On The Road works, and the other panels aren't that interesting to me, so haven't tried those.
I must say that i try all the panels in R2A LAM and only work the on the road
The new media xperiance panel the one that shouldt run pictures faster does not install it says error installing...And the growing panels install but does not appear anywhere...
I need some help
I have noticed that itje has put some day this panel in his rom thread i guess TOUCH_IT 4.5 or so
MXP_MR2_R27_35200_signed an this one install but when i runned it it start looking for the pictures and mp3 and videos and it blink and dont respond...i guess it stuck....
Sorry for bad English...
Hope somebody couldt help me..

TO ALL OF YOU HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE NEW PANELS:
1- I have tested it myself on two different phones and works a treat,
zero problems !!
2- You must have some third party app blocking the new panel manager
3- The correct order would be: Install ActiveX deployment first, soft reset, install the new panels manager, soft reset, install panels one by one and test each one
Let's work this out:
- What's your ROM and language ??
- Any third party app installed ??
- Xperia Panel Tweak installed ??

Just had to do a hard reset due to some Android testing, though i did not perform soft reset at each install.
- ROM is R2AA008 DK
- No third party apps during installation, i've added spb weather, traveler and backup since, as well as an updated google search and google maps.
- No xperia panel tweak installed
- Gonna check out sdkcerts, but is there a direct link for it? Don't want to download a 600MB SDK to get it.

I'm actually having trouble with the new panels manager removing the Task Manager menu in the upper right-hand corner..
I'm also missing the vibe whenever I switch panels (not as big an issue as the missing Task Manager button though).

3D fishes panel omitted the task manager "x" too
That's normal behaviour
Well sdkcerts didn't help unfortunately.
So it's either because of installing it incorrectly or because of the Danish rom, so i guess i'll wait, don't want to do another hard reset already

[DEV][GAME/PANEL] Bubble Advanced Beta (Update1)

UPDATE 1:
- i guess i did find the "move to right" bug where bubbles did not move correctly in some cases. so it should work fine now.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
i plan to develop a flashlite puzzle-game panel for the X2 ;-)
but before starting a "bigger" project i did a "redesign" of bubble breaker to test handling and some issues with flash lite and (of course) compatiblity with my x1:
Bubble Advanced (Beta):
gameplay:
its the same as in bubble breaker. the basic strategy is to "cluster" one dominant color to get as many points as possible.
differences to bubble breaker:
- empty collumns will not "close" automatically.
- if you doubleclick on a single bubble you get special moves (move all bubbles to left or right).
- coming soon: more specials and difficultys
you are free to test it and report all issues
so lets go:
PC-VERSION (BubbleBeta.zip):
-------------------------------------------
Info:
this is the PC reference-version to compare speed and behavior.
of course this runs very smooth
Online Demo:
BubbleBeta
or:
Installation (PC):
download and extract BubbleBeta.zip
doubleclick the BubbleBeta.swf (or drag and drop into a browser if you have no flash standalone player installed)
THIS IS ONLY FOR BETATESTING. PLEASE DO NOT REDISTRIBUTE THIS SWF
Known Issues:
none (so far)
X1-GAME-VERSION (BubbleBeta_0.8.0_English (Game).cab):
-------------------------------------------
Info:
this is the "non-panel" version. it runs with the flash-lite standalone player.
the flash-lite standalone player is not the same as the Sony Ericsson ActiveX Deployment Flash Plug-in. you need to install it additionally.
Installation:
- download and install Flash Lite 3.1 Standalone Player on your X1.
- install BubbleBeta_0.8.0_English (Game).cab
you will find the game in you games folder
Known Issues:
- slow but playable
- "tap&hold" is a pain in the a**. but there is no way to disable the context menu in the standalone player.
X1-PANEL-VERSION (BubbleBeta_0.8.0_English (Panel).cab):
-------------------------------------------
Info:
this is the "panel" version. it runs with the se-flashlite-deployment plugin (also used by various other flash-panels).
Installation:
- download and install Sony Ericsson ActiveX Deployment Flash Plug-in on your X1 (if you havent already installed it).
- install BubbleBeta_0.8.0_English (Panel).cab
- add the panel to your panel-manager
Known Issues:
- slow but playable
- (r3a rom and "old" panel manager): fast doubleclick on the same bubble is somehow blocked. you have to wait like 1 second to click the same bubble again. tip: you can still fastclick another marked bubble (next to the first clicked) to avoid this. it seems to me this is a problem of the panel manager.
- (r3a rom and "old" panel manager): after activating the bubble-panel the "old" panel manager quits if you press the panel-button again (maybe this will work with the new panel manager).
BETA RESTRICTIONS:
--------------------------
- highscore will not be saved
- screen rotation (landscape mode) is not supported
- no sound
QESTIONS:
-------------
can someone please test it with the r3a rom and the "new" (inofficial) R3A panel manager ?
thanx and have fun,
- QuadWord
Update1:
- i guess i did find the "move to right" bug where bubbles did not move correctly in some cases. so it should work fine now.
- did some _minor_ speed improvements
.cabs in the first post are updated.
- QuadWord
panel doesn't work with new panel manager. tried softreset, still nothing, maybe because i run a stock rom
and for the game itself... well, its slow and the context menu is annoying but the graphics look really good and the extra features are making the game more interesting.
austrianX1user:
thanx fou your feedback!
sadly there is no way to disable the context menu :-(
i will however look into the panel issue.
just one question: normally you can double-click on bubbles to remove them. in the "old" panelmanager you have to wait like 1 second anfter the first click before clicking the second time. did you have the same issue with the "new" r33 panelmanager?
- QuadWord
Im using a custom rom which i believe also uses the new panel manager (Touch-IT 7.2) and the panel doesn't appear
to enable x2 - flash panels on the x1 you need:
- the activeX Deployment
- the .cab below
BUT: it turns out there is no "stable" way to run x2 panels on a X1. i can only provide the "best possible" way. if the panel is more complex it will bring down the panel-manager sooner or later.

Please help a colour blind man
HI
I love bubble bobble, and this is a fun new version. I'm looking for new stuff for my pre-ordered HTC HD2.
Please could you consider allowing a change to the colour set? I am, like a fair proportion of men, slightly colour blind in the red/green area. What that means is that there are two sets of balls that both look green, and two sets of balls that look purple. This makes the game unplayable for me.
The version of bb that I currently play has a black and white option which changes the colours to different patterns of clear, lines and hatches. That's OK, but it would be SO much cooler if I could pick my colours from a palette.

the carousel is very interressing
but our x1 can move the carousel same this video?
Yes, at least mine with atm. German stock-R3A lets me use the carrousel smoothly.
Thanks for the tip. I installed it on my X1 and think it looks nice.
The bad side is that I lost my customizations done to v3 and it seems somewhat slower than v3. The good side is the additional options it has, which v3 did not have.
Do you see the e-mail and sms on you X1 like in the video on the spb site???
Here it just opens the standard windows mobile sms screen

You can't use the incoming items widget, you must use the sms & mms and/or emails widgets and then set the default action to 3D.
Anyone else find that the pop up menus when navigating windows has changed? I am using Touch X 10.1 and it used to have nicer finger friendly menus with green highlights, but now they look like basic windows menus. It's not detrimental or anything but I did like the look and feel of the Touch X menus better.
Seems interesting. Does any one know if this also works as a panel on the X1? I can't find any information about this on the SPB website.
try me !!
here you all

Not to be rude, but... have you took a look at SPB site before asking ?!?!?!!?
There is a cab, to install it as a Panel.
There is another cab to install it as a normal program (i.e. it will run in the WM6.1/6.5 home, like a normal program)
internet shortcut on today
is it possible to have a internet shortcut on lifestyle page hat links to a specific page? for example http://www.spbmobileshell.com? and ofcourse i want to change the icon too. And i would like to open the page in opera.

Sorry, where the heck have you found the CAB for MS3.5 as a panel?? I may be blind but I am definitely not able to find that one. All I can load from SPB is MS3.5 as CAB or as EXE. tried both but MS3.5 won't install as Panel. Please give us a link to a possible MS3.5-panel...
It's getting better everytime.
Things I'm missing is an option to create e new e-mail/sms message when in de 3D view...
Also had some problems making facebook widget to work, but I managed that.
Second of all I would like to see SPB weather integrated in the Weather Panel instead of the Weather Widget.
And has anybody already succeeded to get the hardware acceleration to work on the X1 which makes SPB even look better?
??

That's because MS 3.5 disables TF3D. The finger friendly menus are from TF3D.
Ok I have not been to the site yet cause its for some reason blocked in my Co. Does the seperate cab file work on X1

It is not existing as a panel. I just made sure, that there isn't a panel-version, yet. [email protected] just doesn't know what he's talking about.
You can have the package OEM spb 3.5
, Thanks
Excuse my English

More Potential In Panels .....??

I love the X1 and the whole panel feature.. For some reason I feel it's being heavily under utilized/developed.. Is it just me? Let me know if I am crazy and dreaming or if these are some workable ideas..
To be more specific I feel like it should do more than just change the layout of the desktop screen or the today screen. I feel it should also
1.)change the theme throughout along with the change of the today screen.
2.)show all panels readily available rather than the limit of 9 at a time
or introduce sub-panels a perhaps 3 in 1 method so if you choose that
group 3 are readily available without going back to panel manager.
3.)potentially have the ability to switch to a different style interface <TF3D>
4.)have the ability to optimize for a certain category of applications. For
example if there was a games panel with all the games available and it also
changed/configured tweaks during the panel use only. <possibilities endless>
Hmm, let's see...
1) There are 6.5 Themes that you can apply through system settings. Panel interface will not alter system theme, sorry.
2) There are youtube vids of new X2 Panel Manager, it's much better. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LA8BQod9AiI
3) Already possible, I switch between PointUI Pointsense, SPB Mobile Shell 3, and TF3D.
4) See answer 2.

Thanks for the info... I am impressed with the fact that they are working on the panel manager and the progress that they've made.. Makes me feel better..
I'm just saying we're paying some benjamins for these high quality phones so I want the works.. Thanks again!
