Just Wondering...? - JASJAR, XDA Exec, MDA Pro Accessories

How much space is in the extended battery back? Does anyone think it’s possible to use one with a regular battery and use the extra space to store a Bluetooth gps?.....maybe....?

There is about the same space as another standard battery. I can check later if you're interested in the actual size.
Do you have a BT GPS in mind?
I am sure if you were able to flatten out a GPS receiver (mine has 3 layers - battery, main board and receiver) it would have a chance of fitting. However, you'd have to wire it up to the Uni's battery instead of having it's own to stand a chance. And then you'd most probably want an on/off switch to save the battery.
Alternatively, you could try fixing this somewhere!

world's smallest GPS receiver

This looks Kwl....
I jus want it to be possible, But would'nt someone have to create a driver, or hack a driver from another device?
could you try to test it on: http://www.ipaqrepair.co.uk/ipaqpart2084.html
then addit to a running / working uni?

Motorcycle (handlebar) mount needed

Hi all,
I am looking for a mount for a Universal that will allow me to attach it to a motorbike. Does anybody know whether such a thing exists?
I bought one for my bike (pushbike) like this:
http://shop.ebay.co.uk/?_nkw=bike+phone+holder
However, it is not very secure, and I literally tie the Uni into place. Apart from that, it works well. (I have mountainbike and use off-road too).
Yes, I know it's an old thread... but not too old I hope
I have just bought a new holder for my bike, and it's very good. It really does hold the Uni in place and I'm sure it'd be very secure for a motorbike too (I can off-road on my pushbike without it coming off).
It's made by Herbert Richter and here is where I bought mine from. (Herbert Richter also do car-mounts, and they are all interchangeable!).
Hope someone finds this useful!

I think the case is the hardware you're referring to.
Yes charging wirelessly requires either a pogo-pin or a usb-connected back-case. And I can assure you it will charge slower than a pc-usb connection
I am trying and looking for a qi charging receiver like this kit http://product.madeinchina.com/2012-Newest-Portable-QI-Wireless-Charger-Cable_14117282.shtml
FYI someone did it with a tut here http://www.android-hilfe.de/anleitu...eitung-induktionslade-mod-fuer-das-one-x.html

Something like this with at least 3 button?
http://www.radioshack.com/auvio-headphone-cable-with-mic/3300541.html#.VOHpnmPSJ0s&tab=tab3
I have found other solutions but none of them completely safe:
1) This seems great http://www.shopandroid.com/htc-wired-remote-control-stereo-headset/11A29A5242.htm , but it works on cyanogenmod?
2) buy headphones like thes http://www.amazon.com/dp/B007C5S3AU/?tag=stackoverfl08-20 and adapt them into an extension cable ad explained in guide like this: http://www.tested.com/tech/smartphones/2292-how-to-make-any-pair-of-headphones-smart-phone-capable/ or http://www.instructables.com/id/Galaxy-Nexus-and-others-headset-remote-with-medi/ or http://www.wisebread.com/build-a-cable-to-control-your-android-phone-while-you-drive
But I do not have the proper skill to do this task
3) control phone with bluetooth from linux os with sofware like this http://nohands.sourceforge.net/config.html or http://www.mulliner.org/bluetooth/xkbdbthid.php
But I do not know how they work and if they work with playback control as skip track
someone knows help find the simplest solution?

FMTransmiterService running on the phone

Found out that there's a FMTransmitterService (com.mediatek.fmtransmitter) that is running on the phone, but couldn't find any feature on my phone to transmit via FM.
Anyone know anything about this?
With QuickShortcuts, I even managed to launch the FMTransmitterActivity.

It even have a notification, and it correctly mutes the speaker!
However, can't get anything on my FM receiver though.
Hello,
You did not tell- how you managed to get to run the FM Transmitter interface.
There are a lot of undocumented mystery goodies about this phone. The sound is top notch premium too, and they explain it no where in the specifications.
I installed this app called "QuickShortcuts", and then look for FMTransmitter, then select the FMTransmitterActivity, try it!
After I upgraded to 1.33 version of the firmware, the service is gone. :|
Hello,
Yes I see the service is gone. I think they are reserving something for business.
They read these forums I believe.

Needed help with an interesting Problem.

So, where should i start. I needed someone who's really into android to help me with a certain problem. I'm a tattoo artist, using a german made Tattoo Touch power supply. This is basically a power box with an android tablet as a control unit, they are connected via bluetooth. I attach a photo of it. The control tablet is a cheap kt712a device, with a really low resolution of 1024x600. I extracted the Tattoo touch apk, installed on my Note 10.1 to see if i can use that also as a contol unit. I can, it works, but the user interface maybe because the different resolutions, is completely messed up. The buttons are all over, etc. Everything works tho. My question is, would it be possible to somehow adjust the dpi, resolution or whatever to get the perfect interface on my 10.1 too? I hope i could explain my problem properly. Thanks for any help in advance!
