Hi,
I want to create a bin file with my dumped rom (HHC2 FR), with the Samsung i780 kitchen 0.2 beta, but there is a connection issue.
Like famusc wrote in his post, the problem can be fixed by use another bin with the same language for the conversion. But all the bin I found has this problem.
Does anyone have an old french rom which works fine ?
If not, do you know how to fix this issue ?
Is it possible to fix it with the use of another rom language for the conversion ?
If I find a way to fix it, I'll upload it here.

We have the same problem with the German rom. It seems that we can't use the kitchen to cook the rom and have to find another way. But here comes the problem. Maybe someone could give us advise....

I am inclined to port my WM6.1 release to "some" euro locales (Germania, Italino, French etc) I have ideas on how to do that but I don't think I have the time to selectively port the required MUIs.
I understand that, but maybe you can give us hints on how start filtering the MUIs or what you think we have to do. Just replacing the zylonite_keypad_Us.dll and the S00x files brings the result that the layout changes but the mouse and the touchscreen seem to not get along with it...
What do you think???

Changing the keyboard driver alone will not be sufficient. You need to have supporting MUIs to make them work in harmony. The MUIs need to be salvaged from pure Fr (for example) rom which runs on the desired DPI. IE, the MUIs must be extracted carefully out from the donor rom and then placed in the kitchen with the proper rgus that correspond to the Lang ID. But finding intact MUIs can be a problem in itself. Was there any official release for i780 Rom in Fr?
I don't know if there was in France, but in Germany we have an official release and I have the dumped files extracted from the clear german rom too...

So I assume that Germanic keyboard is applicable to Fr as well?
No don't think so because in France they got azerty and we here in germany have the qwertz layout. We just have to change the Y and Z... I don't know if it makes that easier... So you think that replacing the zylonite_keypad_Us.dll or editing it is not he right beginning...?????

I think you are on the right track, just that you can't rely 100% on that alone. If you are familar with rom cooking, then you can explore with sourcing out for MUI files from other roms (not necessarily i780) and do trial and error in cooking them.
Ok thanks for helping... I will try some MUIs from other ppc. But I think the problem is that the zylonite_Keypad_Us.dll is Samsung made think...

The connexion issue is : there is no connexion at the first start of windows mobile, IE and WLM don't work...

After years of dealing with this problem i finally made a version that works myself..

* NO more device not waking after install

it means that you have to be logged in to download, try to log in again on does screens.

Which ROM did u stick with? I'm not sure if I want to return to PDACorner v27 or stay with CRC 14.1...
though the issue with the java emulator isn't resolved yet...
can't get Opera Mini to work with any version of Esmertec Java (and I mean ANY version...) gave it up, isn't that big a deal...

It seems there is a problem with activesync, after installing the hebrew files activesync won't let me define a new Exchange server connection (won't even open the exchange pane)
Any ideas?

i think the BETA 1.0 version is without activesync translation..
BUT i checked this issue on mine device and it works fine so if any one else suffers from this please say so if not check your rom/reg tweaks..
anyways a better version is in the oven so maybe beta 4 will give better results

i dont belive you can tweak it without the language DLLs
if you're thinking about merging it with LENG
it won't work(probably)

Actually, I was trying it out on new roms I was testing (PDAViet, REVROM) so maybe it is a build version issue (2092xx...), in these versions you get a page with links instead of the regular wizard

sorry to disappoint but....
The bug with device not waking up after standby is back in this version - I've hard reset my device with the same ROM the version 2/3 worked on and it made it die... (rip)
I've uninstalled and reinstalled the Heb3.zip version and it worked just fine.
did any of you succeed in making any java emulator work with this hebrew version? doesn't work for me...
i tried this cabs
it doesn't work, it asks to register the version and Hebrew is left to right
i installed first the certificate and then the main cab
i tried the cabs on abusalsa v.27 rom

worked for me but ill recook it 4u and check whats wrong..
its wierd cause i just added the control didnt really change much of it. meanwhile you can use the previous version with the hebcontrol.exe..ANYWAYS im trying to port wm6 hebrew from asus which will work much much better cause this one is based on wm5 .. coming soon..

its a known issue its probably cause your not using tytn

YES it works on any wm6.1 providing u r using tytn/hermes; if it does not match the certifacte store from tytn it will show hebrew backwards same on the original versions from the other threads..
BUT im working on herbew for-all-has-nothing-to-do-with-pdac version

Theres is a problem with some symbols in the hardware keyboard layout
if u want to repair this without uninstalling
download this file:

hey man, what do you mean? aek is embedded with hebrew layout so you dont need to set it up or install it yourself..maybe you downloaded the wrong version? there are two, the bottom one with hardware and the upper one without..
and as for hikeyboard, i didnt wanna post with no SIP so its just temporary untill my next version, but i think the trial is unlimited, if not let me know

1) Hebrew cab for Hebrew fonts and regional settings
2) hikeyboard for the hebrew letters keyboard
3) AEKeymap for the hardware keyboard
when i installed the hikeyboard he asked me if i want to use it as the hardware keyboard but it didn't worked so i reinstalled the AEKeymap again.

i dont really know that phone but this is pda based so dll wise
smart phones are not fully compatible to anything in this forums.
to change the key setting u can use AEKMapScan in \program files\aekmap\ press the key/s that u want to use to switch layouts find out the "key code" then edit AEKMap.cfg and change the line
SwitchKey 007A to
SwitchKey ****=your code

Is this an indication that the keyboard is the main cause of previous failures? (that's the only visible difference I could see).

my guess is that INBiDi20.dll doesnt self register properly, if u got any version of hebrew that did work maybe u can try replacing it with any dll that has bidi in its name from the working version
otherwise i cant really help cause i dont have that phone to test on so it will be a waste of time.. GL

Glad to hear and to add that it also works on the new wm6.5 21189 builds flawlessly..
the previous failures are cause eyron pdac and paragon are a bunch of greedy
bastards that dont like to work but like to take our money so they did as less as possible whilst developing their hebrews

Unfortunately I don't believe without a custom ROM and / or a third party software this is possible to get working.
Looking online it seems like most HTC Android phones have a missing profile in the HTC Bluetooth Deployment. You could always look into installing a custom ROM that supports this?

Thanks ashleyayling...Kind of halped but didnt cheer me up...if I understant well its all about missing HID in official ROM, right? With it it should be working? And all the third partys Roms do have the HID?

Can I ask what Android version and software number you are using?
Menu > Settings > About phone > Software Version
Sure - its version 2.2, SN - 1.32.405.6
for completeness - my reason for not changing ROM isnt that dont know how, but simply dont want to...but if its required...been using WM for years and now jumbed to Android and dont know all stuff. So your iterest is very kind...and appreciated...
Same problem here. I bought Freedom Pro bluetooth keyboard, I managed to connect it TO DHD official ROM with third party drivers found on otadrivers.com. However these drivers have limitedbuiltin keybord layouts (English, Deutsch, Korean), but I need Czech layout with special characters and there is no way user can create customer layouts. For me the only way is CM7 ROM with working HID profile, and then editing keychar files in order to create Czech layout for the keyboard.
Hopefully guys from Revolution HD ROM will implement bluetooth HID profile into their ROM.

iGo keyboard works fine for me...

I use an iGo keyboard with my Desire HD; it works a treat. However, it won't work with a stock HTC rom; I run Cyanogen however and this works without any extra software required.
I recently tried the keyboard on my sisters Desire HD; she's not rooted or the like and has via OTA updates got it on the latest official HTC rom. Still won't work there, so evidently still an HTC stock limitation...
Connect Bluetooth keyboard to Desire HD via HID
Finally I found a way how to natively connect bluetooth keyboard to HTC Desire HD.
I was looking for ROM with Sense with bluetooth HID support, but there were only CM7 ROM without Sense. Also Revolution HD ROM was with Sense, but doesnt include HID support.
Finally found it, this ROM
[ROM][Aug 29][ACE] Virtuous Unity 2.35.0 Sense 3.0 based on Pyramid is based on official ROM from Pyramid, includes Sense, and I was able to connect my bluetooth keyboard via HID.
Voila.
Now I will be able to change keychars files in order to change keybord layout from English to Czech.

So finally made it to change layout of external bluetooth keyboard to Czech.
In case of Virtuous Unity ROM mapping of external HID keyboard is located in the following file

In the attachment you will find edited file for Czech keyboard - QWERTZ including mapping of all czech characters. What i didnt make is Acute - when u press a key "ˇ" - and keyboard is waiting for next character (for example D) and then outputing acuted character (Ď). Acute characters (ˇ´) are mapped to keys but after pressed they dont wait for next character. I have to work on that.
You can push it to device by adb
