[Satus ROM] R2.0 - Windows Phone 6.5 with Touch Sense 2.5 ~Resembles Official HTC ROM

Windows Phone 6.5 with HTC Sense - Satus ROM R 2.0
First at all, thank you for your email and PM (supports, thanks, requests). Sorry to let you wait for long time for this second release because I have to test it for months. I present to you the second release for SATUS ROM R 2.0. My goal is still the same. I will continue to maintain the same feel and look (no cheese customizations) of official HTC Rom since HTC betrays us.
So, for those who look for customization. This is not a ROM for you please try other rom and do not complain.
Get started, read carefully the following information:
[What's new?]]
1. More, or the best, responsive and faster Windows Phone 6.5
2. HTC Sense 2.5 UI build 1921 is added.
3. Fully GPU Accelerated. Better Graphics Performance.
3. Taichi Dailer - Video Conference required different dailer. Please find and install.
4. Voice Commander and Voice Speed Dail. Microsoft Voice Command removed.
5. All new stuff like notification, menu, message enhancements, contact, settings, facebook,twitter, etc. Beautiful and smooth.
6. Updated Keyboard to EzInput 2.1 -> very nice keyboard.
7. All HTC Common stuff.
8. GPS tested. Works!
9. Facebook and Twitter Integrated with HTC Sense. Works!
[What Do You Have To Do After Install This ROM? Known Issues]]
In order to make this ROM run perfectly on your phone. You need to perform the following tasks:
1. After install the ROM, the Titanium UI will be default because it consumes sinificant less memory. If you like Touch Sense, you need to enable it manually in Settings -> Today -> Items -> HTC Sense. Hit OK.
2. Manila SDK Sensor Auto Rotation interferes Touch Sense Music Player sensor rotation. Touch Sense Music Player needs to rotate on its own.
You need to go to Settings -> System -> G-Config.
Then, tap and hold on "Manila" in the list and choose "remove" to remove auto SDK Sensor Rotation support for manila. Soft reset!
3. Google Maps was intentionally left out so that you can install the latest Google Map. Head to google to download the map application.
4. Some phones still encounter the "cannot unlock" problem with Titanium lock screen. It is recommend that you create a password for the lock screen. This will surely solve the "cannot unlock" problem.

Note: Sorry, this is the best I can do. Diamond memory is too limited for new things. Impossible.
So, the best way is to use Sense only for call, texting, twitter, etc. For memory intensive
program you should disable htc sense in today settings.
Several Solutions:
1) Use clean ram or sktools free ram service will help. This service will monitor your RAM memory and recover
the free Ram automatically without your notice.
2) Change pagepool size will give you more memory. There will be a trade off for speed and memory.
3) Disable services.
4) Remove some HTC tabs like stock or calendar.
With all been said, complain about memory usage is useless. Instead, we should provide some tips to improve
it.

i haven't try this rom yet but i always recommend your 6.5 rom or yougatz 6.1 rom because they match my visual and have good perfomance. best regard man

Similar features to 2.0 But with:
- Better CommManager. Wifi Router now working
- Improve storage and memory (just a little bit)
- Smaller size ROM.
- Several Bug fixes.
[What to do after install rom?]
- Microsoft Titanium is default UI because it consumes significant less memory. If you like HTC Sense, you need to enable it manually (Start -> Settings -> Today -> Items)
- Google Maps was left out so that you can install the newest version. Go to google and install it.
- Set a password, so that you won't be locked out at Titanium lock screen.

It is still there. I cannot find where is the problem. Still looking. But it is not a big deal just additional icon.
But, there is new comm manger with wifi router. And a little bit improve for Sense memory usage as compared to R2.0. Some other bug fixes.
You don't have to install this. not much difference just those above.

You meant Touch Flo 2.1 V1.5? If yes I'd be glad to have that 6.5 with Touchflo 2.1 and good memory usage has been the one I was looking for, sadly it's hard to find one

i'm testing with manila sense...very smooth
2 minor bug:
-When i select wallpaper for the first time album thumbnail close, idem when i select image for contact, always works on second time.
-is impossible add favorite to internet bookmark ( solved with htcbookmark cab found on this forum )

Wi-Fi
Im getting a grayed out wi-fi option and the camera crashes to black screen and can not set animated wallpaper

camera and photo works for me.
Another minor bug, is screen where you choose the connection type on usb plug. (edit works now, i had to check and uncheck option in connection usb to pc menu )
Sun animation is extremly slow, all other manila animation are fast and smooth, but sun is very very slow random artefact

did you wait a little bit before try 2nd time? Usually it takes a while for new wallpaper to show up.

I knew why it crashes to black screen for a moment. It is because of the SDK Sensor Rotate. Go to G-Config then remove rotation support for Camera. Wish I discover this before releasing the ROM.
Grey out wifi: Did you MTTY before upgrade?
can not set animated wallpaper: Nope, it is working just fine. May be because of out of memory.

OMG i do like your 6.5 rom so much, but i don't like the HTC message in the 2.0 rom, have u removed it in this rom yet T_T i just wanna give a try if you have done hope so

hm, the wm6.5 and sense too very slow, i can't know what happened

Yes, i used mtty.
All other weather animation, wind, rain, snow, thunderstorms, and moon animation works really fast. Try on home page press menu and choose "weather Demo". First animation is "sunny" animation, the reflection behind the sun is very very slow.

Windows Phone 6.5 with HTC Sense 2.5 - SATUS ROM R2.6 FINAL
No cheesy customization. The goal is to try to resemble HTC Official ROM. Those who need customization, this is not a ROM for you. Please choose other ROMs.
This is the final ROM for Windows Phone 6.5 Satus ROM series. I will move on to 6.5.3. This ROM fix some more bugs in R2.5. The purpose is to create a ROM that you can keep and downgrade to in case 6.5.3 does not meet expectation. There is not much changes in R2.6, if you are happy with R2.5, you do not need to upgrade to R2.6.
[What's new?]
Similar features to 2.0 and 2.5 But with:
- HTC Sense Internet Bookmark now works.
- New CleanRam 1.9
- Fix G-Sensor Conflicts.
- Now, only one Advanced Network Icon.
- Adjustment to Comm Manager.
- Some minor bug fixes.
[What to do after install rom?]

- Those who like old WM Message client. Search the forum and find a cab file that disable HTC Message

Use this remedy for the lock screen unresponsive problem:
If the slider got unresponsive, point your finger to the clock at bottom of the screen, then drag left and right. The slider will be responsive and allow you to unlock the phone.

The graphics are great but it's really slow. Sense restarts, it hangs up a lot, I think it's too much for the Diamond. The phone become useless with this rom.
The keys doesn't always work (home, end), the photo album almost never starts due to lack of ram.

Did you MTTY your phone? Don't talk nonsense. The fastest rom I have ever built with Sense 2.5.
1) Re The graphics are great but it's really slow. Sense restarts, it hangs up a lot:
If you just use sense as normal for calling, email, sms, twiter, photo, etc., Sense will work great and never restart. If you use many programs at the same time, of course it out of memory. That why I include Clean RAM so that you can clean the junk in the RAM.
The fact is that I have already given out a note about this memory issue.

With this statement, it is like an end to development and sharing here. I spent my time to build and share for free. Not a single penny collected or even asked. Are you really sure this ROM makes your phone useless?? So, just use other ROM period.

When I test it, it is pretty more stable and smooth to touch. Clean RAM Level 3 improves free ram up to 74% free with sense enabled.

It's the first time using your rom and simply I expected much more. For me it's way to slow and unstable to use the phone with it (I used MTTY).
You don't need to be upset by the critics.

Was that the constructive critics for improvement to you? Critics by stating that a ROM makes your phone useless? Seriously?? I don't build a ROM for someone to blame me that my ROM make his or her phone useless.
Did you see any ROM out there running Sense that doesn't have memory issue if running many things at once? If you want Sense, you need to accept this fact. Otherwise, disable it. I didn't enable it on your phone in the first place.
My phone is running this ROM. It works great. For that reason, I believe your comment is false.

I like this fully featured rom that stays close to the original htc style as well.
I also like the fact that satus is nice enough to fix all the bugs before moving onto 6.5.3 so we can have a stable 2.6 rom to fallback on just in case.

The only reason I took to uploading/flashing my ROM was because of Satus Rom. Well, its the only ROMs i ever installed, and I dont think I will need another ever.
I really love my Diamond with the SatusRom, and have infact started using it more because of the ROM. With WM 6.1, I was only using it for calls, music.... I know find my Diamond MORE useful...
Infact, i am looking for a Satus Rom for Touch Cruise (if there is one, please let me know). I can flash using Satus ROM any day.

Because this R2.7c ROM does not live up to expectation, as well as some problem with new CleanRAM 1.9.5. I decided to discontinue development for Sense 2012 and close this thread for R2.7c. Well, you asked for it. So here you are. Satus ROM 2.7c with Sense 2.5 build 2012. This is based on the already stable Satus ROM 2.7 platform.
Those who looks for cheesy customization, this is not a ROM for you. Please use other ROM.
WARNING NOTE: I intended to name this as R2.8. But, in doing testing, I found it is not worth the R2.8 release. Unlike the advertisement which states that Sense 2.5 b2012 is built for lower hardware device, I found this is not the case. Sense 2.5 b2012 is memory hog, even worse than Normal Sense 2.5 build 1920+ in my opinion. Kind of disappointed because the hope is so high for this.
The Picture and Music tabs are the culprit. Clearly, HTC did not do a good job on programming for this one. In sense 2.5 1920+, the memory catch and release is very good. This 2012 is not good at all. When you first boot, you will get 22 MB Free RAM, but as soon as you access picture and music, they quickly consume a lot of RAM. So, expect high memory consumption. The solution is to disable Picture and Music tabs to save RAM.
With that has been said, not all are bad. You should have your own conclusion. Download and test it. Otherwise, stick to Satus ROM 2.7a or 2.7b.

[Known Issues]
After flashing or soft reset, please allow a moment for the ROM to complete it start up task. Don't jump in and use and blame that the ROM is slow and unresponsive.
1. Install Google Maps by yourself. It is intentionally left out so you can obtain the latest version
2. Sense 2.5 easily consumes all memory. Disable Picture and Music tabs will save significant amount of memory.
3. HTC Message:
a) When writing a new message, you can add as many recipients as you like at the To: Field. Just press that field, then type in the person name, then choose him or her. Repeat again for another recipient until done. The Menu -> Add Recipient is not working right now due to limitation in the ported version. But that is the solution.
b) MMS Server Settings:
Because Connection Setup 3.1 ported is not working well and in big size. Therefore, it cannot be used to cook this rom. To use MMS with HTC Message, you have to manually copied MMS Server Settings to HTC Message.
1st Step: Go to inbox of an email account, press Menu button, scroll up then choose MMS Option, Then choose Servers Tab, Click on the MMS Name in the box to show the settings, copy everything to a piece of paper.
2nd Step: Now open HTC Message, Menu -> Settings -> Options -> Press Menu Button Again -> MMS Server -> Press on [+] to add a new MMS Server Settings -> Type in all info copied earlier -> Press Done -> Now Set your new MMS Server as default.
4) Weather: To use My Location, you need to manually enable it. In Weather Tab, Press Menu, the press Enable My Location. Then Press Update Now. I have no idea why HTC does this. So weird!
5) Don't like rotation for sense? go to BsB G-Config in the Settings and remove rotation support for manila.
6) Don't like HTC Message? Search the forum for Sense 2.5 2012 thread. There you can find the registry to disable HTC Message.

1. Any HTC Touch Diamond GSM
2. Hard-SPL installed. Flashing ROM without HardSPL will damage and brick your phone.
3. MTTY task 29 to prevent weird problems before flashing the ROM.

Ok I've tried it and your reservations are well founded. Even with a number of tabs disabled, there is not enough memory to go round. The basic ROM remains very solid, perhaps too solid for Sense 2.5

UPDATE:
After doing elimination of problem, I found that the New CleanRAM 1.9.5 may be the cause of this. I flash my 2.7a ROM. Everything is fine. So here what I am going to do is to Recook this ROM 2.7c without CleanRAM

Here we go again. Sorry about the earlier version with unstable dailer and a bumpy start. The Reloaded Edition comes with the same dailer in ROM 2.7a which I managed to port so that it work with Windows Phone 6.5.5 series. This Dailer is true VGA dailer so there would be no scroll-bar and there is no need to use phcanvga.exe file to position the dailer like in WVGA port dailer. Any issues, problems, or suggestions, please reply to this thread. MTTY is highly recommended.
This is a full-featured ROM. An attempt to replicate the look and feel of the HTC official ROM because HTC stopped supporting Diamond series. Alternative solution is SetVolume App here on XDA. This is similar to HTC Volume Control.
I think Windows Phones Volume Control is enough to use, it is ugly though but saves RAM.
2. HTC Sensor SDK 4: 95% Working. G-Sensor works perfectly. But, Screen Rotation function
does not work with 6.5.5 fully. Tested Applications that automatically rotates are:
Album, Sense, IE Mobile, Resco Photo Album
If you want full screen rotation, please try third party solution such as FlipIt, GSen, etc.
I am waiting for HTC solution which is soon to be released.

The top candidate Tabs to be disabled are: Music, Picture (Photo). Each of them alone consumes
5MB+ of RAM.

Well, touch the Keyboard Icon in the lower bar, hold for 2 seconds, release, then a window will pop
up, allow you to change keyboard.
11. Want to use original sms client?
It can be done by a registry tweaks. There is a cab here some where here on XDA that can disable HTC Message.

13MB (80-90% mem consumption) is when you have everything full load on with Photo and Music on. Each of them costs you 5MB+. Total 10MB+. If you disable Music and Photo. You get 26 MB free.
To use Sense and want 40MB to 60MB free? either you never use sense or you must be dreaming. Please use other ROM then.

Diamond was born not for Sense - that's all

Just installed this rom and love how fast it is, was using Chris101a 2012 rom before but I had to do some customisation to it then had to flash again .
Got a problem with this thos that after every soft reset the phone hard resets it self, might be that i need to mtty one something so will have a search about for some info.
Thanks for your hard work on the rom, love the titanium, with htc extras. perfect combination if you ask me.

Just did a hard reset with MTTY and reflash and seems to have fixed it! Ignore my post

I test this dailer at hard reset. The dailer works fine. I don't notice any problem. I am not sure that there is any third party software that causes the problem you encountered. So be careful with old software out there which may replace system resources.
The dailer is a ported version of WVGA device. I am still researching and working on it to make it perfect all the time. From my knowledge about this dailer, Here are possible solution:
1) soft-reset to cure the problem. After soft-reset allows a moment for the all software to loaded at startup.
2) Or you can try to run this link \Windows\_phcanvga.lnk (it is in the second place in File Explorer - Windows Folder) -> This shortcut run the positioning software for the dailer. The idea is too restart the positioning software. When you tap to run it, it will show "Terminated .." message. That means the software is shut down. Then, you need to run it again. The dailer will work well again.
3) If it still does not work, hard reset or use other dailer such as Yota Phone Dailer which can be found here on XDA.

You need to choose the Band that suitable for your country 3G network. But, you phone needs to support that band. It is all about your phone's radio.

good rom - but HTC Message is so terrible ( with me ).
I have more than 200 messages with one person- after recover with pim-backup, it take me a long time to view all messages -but they look like mess ( overlap graphic with text ) and unreadable.
I think that's htc message's fault - not yours - but I must change to another rom.

find a cab to disable htc message will solve your problem. It will revert back to stock sms client
