Separate Keyboards for Landscape / Portrait Mode? - G1 Themes and Wallpapers

Inspired by the post asking about different wallpapers depending on screen orientation...
Is there any way we can set up separate keyboards depending on screen orientation? For instance, swype withs great with portrait, but in landscape mode it's pretty useless.
Any thoughts?

Great request...
I would use Swype for portrait mode and HTC_IME for Landscape...

Work in portrait mode?

Hi there...
Is there a way to have the s621 working on portrait mode?
I woul also look foward to now how to use fake cursor, because I simply cant make it work as a fake cursor =/
thanx
huh? what
why would you want to use portrait mode? That doesn't make sense to me especially if you have a landscape screen. PPC - now that's a different device and it has the controls for it to go landscape or portrait.

Stop screen rotate with keyboard out

For certain apps, I want to be able to use the hardware keyboard but keep the screen in portrait mode. Gyrator helps a bit, but does not do everything I want:
Example 1: Kevtris. Only works in portrait, but needs enough mappable hardware buttons to control the pieces, so keyboard needs to be out, but device is held in portait.
For this, Gyrator helps because it turns the screen back to portrait if the device is in portrait (even if the keyboard is still out)
Example 2: Morphgear. Works best in portrait mode with the game display set to be sideways (East). So keyboard is out, device is held in landscape but I want the screen to stay portrait.
Any thoughts?
I'm not sure if changescreen would work, but you can set what programs turn what way, and could add an exception to those specific programs to display only in portrait mode. It's called changeScreen - v2.5 (Mar 13 '09). HTH

Setting for Hackers Keyboard in Landscape on GNEX? Full Keyboard and textbox only

Hi.
As keyboard I am using "Hackers Keyboard". 4 Row only.
I'd like to use HK as a full screen keyboard in Landscape mode, meaning in Landscape there should be only the keyboard (big) and a textbox where I am writing currently. I Portrait it should be "normal" keyboard and everything else visible (textbox, background, other text, etc).
How can I achieve that the keyboard is "big with textbox" in Landscape?
Currently it does the same as in Portrait, big keyboard and a little gap between keyboard an the upper screen. On some apps, this is not enough to display a textbox. On others it is enough.

[Q] Portrait to Landscape launcher that preserves size of widgets

I was wondering if there is a launcher that preserves the size and aspect ratio of icons and widgets when you go from portrait to landscape.
I used to love how my Nokia N900 could do this. Basically you would arrange where your apps/widgets were on the screen separately in
portrait and next in landscape. Then instead of your typical rotating transition from portrait to landscape, where often the widgets become
distorted, the screen image would flip about an axis so it appeared as if the apps/widgets for landscape and portrait were on opposite sides of a plane that made
up the screen. Not sure who originally came up with this idea but developers for maemo os Incorporated
this for N900 after Nokia dropped support for the device...

Portrait vs Landscape Wallpaper

Hopefully someone can help me past my trouble - my SM-P600 is rooted, still on 4.4.2. When I first set it up and rooted it, I dug around on the forums and figured out a way to set different wallpapers for landscape and portrait. Now, after having to replace my SD card that went bad, the portrait orientation picture is gone, and I can't for the life of me figure out where or how I set up the different portrait mode wallpaper- it's just black/no wallpaper in portrait mode now. I didn't use a 3rd party app, either. Anybody out there know where or how to specify a separate wallpaper for portrait vs landscape viewing???
