well , I have opened this thread , caz I want every one see it
and we want to fix this problem alone,
We know that LCD of HD1 is still not friendly with android , also you know that some body , thanks to him , tries to fix the high jumps when you scroll between the pages
To celebrate The screen , There is one way , only removes the parameter that person put them to fix the LCD which is this , "msmts_calib=0x395.0x3c9.0x79.0x77" and celebrate will run , but its very bad not useful
another way that I found which is better, we know ubuntu now runs over HD , celebration is very will , after doning the celebration , ubuntu celebration gives you the axis then write them in a paper fastly or if you are slowly every time before boothing ubuntu remove previous celebration file , redo celebration , and write the missing axis
ok now put them in msmts_calib and see the result , write axis of your fingers here ,
and after we see over 12 or 13 results from you
I will generate a gerneral one as like that person who tries to fix up the msmts_calib by giving a general one which is 0x395.0x3c9.0x79.0x77

I just try the new setting, it's off (not as good as the original).
The original is quite good in terms of the accuracy (X,Y), the problem is the location jumps very quickly for 2 points (sometimes start out of the screen, and the 1st-wrong point is always on the left) when there is only 1 press, i wonder what is the issue because in WM is fine. Can it really be fixed just by command tweaks, or is it compatibility issues between screen and driver?
try out 'pointer location' under 'dev tools' in android

me too
it is with this android 2.1c distro and it strangely going more over the time of use.
To the left....
if you touch it in the left side sometimes it jumps the page not fire the widget...
I ve tried the new proposal for the x and y alignment but the calibration is then more of.
I also tried the dev tools pin point and it shows various from just a mil of on instant touch to up too 7-10 mils measured on the screen.
Is there a way to calibrate the screen without a imputing the values?

deal with LCD as something sensitive , Dont push too much
and if you want to run a program , press on icon with an theta =45 degree
I know its complicated to do that , but by the time you will feel it better

i tried your values, but with finger you see the result (made via "paint" and only make points via my small finger)
as you can see. this "jumping to left" is total painfully if i want to write an email or sms
any idea what this problem can be (not happen on diamond)

No problem, I have Spb PocketPlus installed with the bare minimum components for the today screen plug-in. Then on my first "Home" Page I have unlocked HTC Home (you have to do this to place it on a tabbed page of Spb) then under it is the meters that come with PocketPlus. Then on the next page I have rlToday with a skin I made and will attach to this post for any that would like to use it. Then the next tab is SBSH PocketWeather 2.0.5 that I slightly modified from the PhatPhinger skin you can find one there site. Then the next page is just a app launcher page that zips me to any of the apps that I use a lot. I have sense added a 5th page that has Windows Live and Windows Live Search plug-ins on it. The good thing is that even with all this loaded and running CRC's v12r6 6.1 ROM, I still have 42.58M Storage and 22.46M Program mem left. And I have a lot of other stuff installed as well.

I have strange problem. It starts few weeks ago with no purpose..
Sometimes my bottom buttons doesn't work. It happneds for example, when I'm tying to scroll email with Dpad. Sometimes when i try to scroll thru files in total commander. After scrolling few lines, they just stop working. Upper buttons works. Screen works.
What I did untill now with no results:
- flashed official rom thru PC
- flashed AT&T Official
- disassembling and cleaning lower buttons.
It looks like software problem, but it happends on clean official roms without any 3-rd apps..
Some suggestions?

do a search for white screen in titles...ur problem may be the dpad connector comes loose and the white screen thread talks about how to fix it
try a new rom my wifes phone did the same thing with at&t official wm6 rom I have since flashed almost every rom from here and never had a problem hope this helps

I had this problem with a Hermes and I couldn't fix it no matter what I did. And I tried everything.
It seems it's some weird hardware problem. Soon you'll have problems with the softkeys too.
If anyone fixed this (except flashing a new rom, because that doesn't work), it would be an interesting thing to know.
Well, when it happends, all lower buttons stops working. gren, red phone, softkeys etc.
I just plug and unplug connector few times and for now it;s ok.
I will report if there will be some changes.
Maybe it's time for some changes I think Kaiser's will be cheaper in a moment

mine has been doing that for months (lucky my hermes is my backup device). its really strange but then again expected after ive dropped it so many times as well as throw it at my colleagues when they piss me off.
1) dpad stops responding after some time.
2) call/end buttons stop responding
3) softkeys dont work after this
4) 90% white screen - i can still see whats on the screen but it looks like its washed out and saturated to a sever point
the only thing you can do is if your device is still under warranty get it fixed.
Warrianty it's a faaaar away past
I can't say with any certainty this will help anybody - but I experience this same issue, regardless of the rom... What I always do - hit the Email button... I know it sounds odd, but it always seems to work... It launches email, which (if i don't need it) I just close right away and then the other buttons seem to magically work... I know it sounds lame - but honest - it works on my phone...
If that doesn't work, you may have to try the following link regarding d-pad and white screen
I had same problems, d-pad buttons stopped working then I got the white screen of death. I replaced the ribbon cable but it didn't help. I replaced the d-pad pcb board and everything is back.

1)install in device memory
2)when ever u need the feel to align the screen jus click on Auto Align in the programs menu!!
3)if it asks you to unistall the previous version click OK and thats it you are done!!!

now this is going to a bit of hassle,
steps involved
1) go to regedit HKLM\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\TOUCH and change the value of MaxCalError to 5000
2) minimize the regedit and go to screen align
3) most imp step, click on the screen as shown bellow!!! in the arear i have marked with a black circle.... follow the steps to align on the screen with the 5 click inside the black circle as close to the EDGE as you can!!! VERY IMP!!!
4) (hassle part) minimize the align screen and go to regedit again!!!(will take sum time as the screen alignment will be totally out!!!
5)go up one directory and the go back into "TOUCH"....now the values of the "CalibrationData" will be refreshed!!!
6) post these values and i will do the rest!!!
7) oh yeah realign your screen !!!! manually !!!
8) also change back the value of MaxCalError... to 8!!! ( in diamond its 8 i dont know abt HD so could you give me this value as well to work with!!! thanks!!

VIO is a free Windows Mobile Application based on motion detection
How does it work ?

VIO uses the phone's camera to capture and detect any motion.
Motion will be detected by comparing the actual picture with one reference picture that will be automatically refreshed (settings allow you to specify when it must be refreshed)
Two ways of comparison are available :
- Squares
Easy way and really fast ; the picture will be cut to squares, you just need to specify square's width + squares sensibility + minimum squares needed to trigger an alert
- Edges
More accurate but slower ; the difference between actual picture and reference picture will give us some zones, these zones will be extracted one by one, if one contains the minimum pixels needed you set then it will trigger an alert.
When motion is detected VIO will :
- save picture as .jpg
- send mails containing pictures to the email address you defined.
- send sms to alert you anywhere

No error log The camera solutions - well I dont know but its 5MP...
I will try to run all the solutions in VIO. BUT - should I be able to SEE the camera caoture?
Yep there must be a live preview, don't waist your time by searching if any other parameters will fix it, if you already don't have any preview then it will not works.
I f i got free time maybe i will try to find what the problem is.

Any app under development can cause problems. It's all use at your own risk otherwise you'd be buying it off an app store. Hopefully you backed up your phone extensively and can restore it.

In my HTC HD2 log file, show something about cannot find Pinvoke on Native.dll
Works fine on my Diamond but only after installing it to the main mem. Doesn't like being installed to internal storage.

I did enjoy the app. for few days, it was working very nice, till by mistake i did uninstall it, when i did try to reinstall it again, it gives me blank screen, camera would not start, nothing comes on the screen, i did uninstall and install several times but still the same thing, any idea why and how to fix it.

Hi, it's probably linked to the file "\Program Files\VIO\settings.conf", please try to delete it and start the app.
To Uppy => yep it can be done somehow but it's really hard to make something reliable for some reasons :
- how do the phone know his start position
- only slow motions can make it works because of the slow fps
- etc..
I see, still an interesting idea, even if it's not practical.

I think this is a great app. But there is one thing I am missing why not send the email through wifi. In that case you can put your phone any where in the reach of your network. (great for spare phones)

I bought a Archos 101 for Christmas, when I bought it, it was because:
- I wanted a big screen to browse the internet. (101 does great)
- I wanted to have a multimedia tablet. (101 does great)
- I wanted to use it to draw. (Here is the problem)
So my wish is to use Sketchbook Mobile on my 101. I bought SBM on my Galaxy S, and I hoped I can use it on my Tablet but I don't find it on the Android Market !
(I used the latest gAppsInstaller).
I tried to take the apk file on my Galaxy S and install it on the tablet, but each time during the loading of the app, it disappear and a window pop up and pop out very fast (I can't read the message).
I tried an other method:
-I did a backup of SBM on my Galaxy S.
-I move the TitaniumBackup folder on my 101.
-I rooted my tablet with the help of this topic.
-I installed TitaniumBackup on my 101.
-I tried to restore.
But there is a message which there is an installation problem..
Someone has an idea ?

What do you want to mean with "unencrypted backup" ? Without the Market link ?
Because when I do a backup, it give me three differents files but not an .apk.
And I ever tried to install the apk I took on my Galaxy with Root Explorer but it didn't work...
Isn't a problem with the license ?

Open Titanium Backup and then tap Menu/Preferences. Uncheck Enable encryption.
This will allow you to back up the file as a normal file.
If there is a license then that could be an issue. You would need to find it and copy it also.

I know, it's bad but yesterday I found an .apk file of SBM on internet, so I tried it, and it works !
So I think it's a license problem, where can I found this file ?

You can certainly try, but I think you'll find the screen responsiveness makes drawing more maddening than enjoyable.

Hi there! so, it means that SBX and SBM are fully working on Archos 101? I was thinking they can be used just with 512mb and archos have just 256...
If so, can you make a video about it? i want to buy this tablet, and it should be one of the best reason to do it...

would there be board properties we could control in the local.prop file to adjust the input sensitivity and delay between "strokes" I get the same issue when i type, here are a few options from this thread :

ro.board.touchpad_press_thresh=0.3
ro.board.touchpad_click_thres=1
idk if these are the correct board values but its a sniff in the wind

Any luck yet? I tried different values for
ro.board.touchpad_press_thresh=
but i dont really see a difference...
It would be amazingg to get this to improve...
