New Version of Windows Phone Developer Tools Available - Windows Phone 7 Development and Hacking

http://windowsteamblog.com/blogs/wp...indows-phone-developer-tools-ctp-refresh.aspx
This version works with the final version of Visual Studio 2010 (RTM) AND it includes an updated image of Windows Phone 7 for the emulator, so there should be some new goodies to dig into!

There's no actual download link that appears to be update/working atm though. Any luck finding one?

Yeah

Strangely enough though, it doesn't seem to work if you open in a new tab or window - but if you open the link directly it works fine.
Weird...
Casey

Thanks!
Now, how do I unlock the full image?

[TOOL] Improved Version of Seven-Eighter

Over the past few days, I have been working on a new version of Seven-Eighter based off of the source code that Jaxbot kindly provided. I have made numerous improvements to the original version.
One of those improvements is instead of embedding the links to the update files as strings in the actual program, my version of Seven-Eighter downloads a config file from the internet which contains the links to the update files. In this manner, you, the user, do not have to download a new version of the program every time Microsoft releases a new update for Windows Phone 7.x. All I have to do on my end when a new update comes out is to just update the config file once I find links for the new update.
Some more improvements include improved error handling and some better instruction to help you with the update process. If you haven't yet, you should really check it out. I am curious as to what people think of my version compared to the original.
You can find the link to download my version of Seven-Eighter on my blog here: http://bit.ly/ZOzAz9
Now as such, I am always looking to improve. I welcome any and all suggestions. If you want to throw something my way to help with development you are welcome to do so, but not required (your satisfaction works just as well, check my signature for instructions).
Nice work!

To be honest, I didn't test my version of Seven-Eighter with a custom rom image (only stock factory rom image). What build is it currently running?
I have the exact same question.
I pretty much bricked by bootlaoder on my AT&T HD7S using the initial version of SevenEighter from jaxbot and now can't even use the gold card method to downgrade since I need it unlocked.
My RGB bootloader screen only shows one line of text at the top in the red and nothing in the white space where it should say USB HOST/Loader Mode.
But at least I had a 7.5 Zune backup that I can restore to, the only thing being that it doesn't restore my bootloader.
So, question is, can I use your software to upgrade to a custom unlocked 7.8?
Thank you!
I was finally able to get my Focus S upgraded to 7.8. Got tired of waiting. I had a problem with the application and had to close it. when I relaunched, it continues where it left off. Nice! I left the update.log just in case.
Now I just need to unlock it for side loading. Anyone recommend ways that still work? Thanks.

anybody updated at&t titan 2 to 7.8?
Yes. The seveneighter app worked perfectly. I just wish I could install the version of htc connection setup I had on my hd2 so I could change my apn settings for my carrier instead of being locked out of my mms.

Desktop Ubuntu for Nexus 7

Hi, i found on Ubuntu site Linux Desktop for Nexus 7 (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Nexus7/Installation). I want try it for my embedded projects, but project - installer and images, are down. I can only download and install Touch variant, but i want full Desktop variant .
Do someone know, where i can download Desktop image, and how it install?
Thank you very much!
Im gonna be honest I don't have any experience with installing Ubunto on N7 but I have found a link.
search install ubuntu 13.04 nexus 7 2013 on Google
and its the second link beginning with cd image, the downloads are at the bottom of the page. I would still follow the instructions from the link you provided. By the way I couldn't provide you the link directly because I am a new user.
Sorry if I couldn't be much help.

Windows 10 obile SDK/ADK/WDK Archives, Mirrors, Install files for Visual Studio

I used to have some SDKs and even a WDK for Windows 10 (Including Windows 10 Mobile). After recently installing Visual Studio 2015/2017 and building up libraries tools etc. one install after another I was able to acquire SDKs, ADKs and WDKs for Windows Phone 7, WP 8.0 and WP 8.1....but when I got started on installing or trying to install Windows 10 (Including Win10m) I realized none of the downloads on M$'s servers/webpages contain the Windows 10 Mobile portion of the installations, after doing a quick google search it appears Microsoft removed Win10m development feaures from their product downloads as far back as 2017?? Has it really been that long...? Wow.... I know I can't have been the only one to download these dev kits while they were available, can anybody provide a backup link or archive link to a cloud based service to share for those of us that still wish to continue to build Win10m source files and mess around with creating our own (UWP or not) Win10m software??
Thanks very much guys

Solved: OneNote for Windows 10 Can't Launch

Good day!
Can someone help me to use One Note in my phone? I really need this app.
When I open it, it's just redirecting to the Store and Store will say "This Product is installed." then it will exit.
I updated the OS from .107 to .1066 . Do I need to update again the firmware?
Is there a trick like deleting cache folder of the app or any update patch like .xap or appx bundle?
Can someone verify that One Note app is still working as of now?
Thank you...
So after searching...I found this site which a tutorial for downloading offline app.
How to Download APPX File from Microsoft Store for Offline Installation? | Windows OS Hub
New Universal Windows Platform apps (.Appx/.AppxBundle) on Windows 10 are usually installed online through the Microsoft Store. Despite Windows allows to install universal apps from the appx file (sideload), you…
woshub.com
so for Lumia 530 which is ARM,
I downloaded the latest version of appx of the main app folder and VCLibs.
my question is do I also need to download the neutral folder which is 200mb+ in size?
Also, how to install .Emsixbundle to Windows Phone? I'm trying this with Calculator app.
so I found out that I just need to go through the update page of the apps in Store locating in the upper right part icon.
And now my problem is solved.
Thank you!

Windows Phone 7 Unlocked ROMs in 2022

Hey, everyone! If any of you are still looking around, I have some pretty good news. I have found 2 out of the 4 unlocked ROM files, and I have managed to get them both to work. I will be packing them into folders with all the necessary files to run them! All you need is a system that has WDDM video drivers, Windows 7, and 64bit support. The two working ROMs I have are build 6176, and 7003. They both run flawlessly and I'm very happy to have them running. This is all great news, but I need your help. Everyone that has your old computer, please, look through it to try and find the other two bin files. One should be called "WM70Full.bin" (This is the unlocked BIN file for build 6007), and the other one should be called "WM70C1-6414-Unlocked.bin" (this is the bin file for the unlocked build 6414 ROM). They could have different names, but I think these were the original names. I will be sharing the packed emulators shortly, once I get everything finished up. They will be hosted on a MODERN website (I'm not gonna use dead sites like MultiUpload, rapidshare, etc). I will host them on OneDrive, in a private shared folder. I will also be uploading all of this to archive.org to preserve the history as much as possible. Thank you for reading, and I hope you all have a great day.
Edit as of 10/8/2022, 6:33PM:
The packed emulators are now ready, and they should run on any 64bit Windows 7 system with WDDM support! Here is the download link to the emulators: https://1drv.ms/u/s!Ai5FoHSKYucjhaw4FTwlPPZ5vjdHHw?e=C4DLbH
