I cannot find where to change my vibrate mode to short instead of long...help - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Windows Mobile General

Hi!
I am not sure if that is what is eating my battery so fast but I cannot find where you can change the vibration mode from a really long one that it is now to a shorter vibration time.
Any help please?
Also, any other ideas on how to preserve battery life?
I am using stock 6.5 ROM with SPB Shell.

If your phone is really vibrating so much that it is significantly draining its battery life something is way wrong. Not sure what the issue is but I'll just throw this in for good measure.

This app allows you to control the length of vibration on certain events, such as tapping on screen keyboard buttons. But far as I know it has no control over other vibration events such as incoming phone calls and notifications.

Keep backlight off

I'm looking for an application or something that will keep the backlight off at all times while it's running. Sometimes late at night out in the country I don't need it to be able to see the screen very well and I'd like to save battery power as much as possible. Battery life is a constant concern when you're away from AC outlets.
The app is called LUMOS (it changes the backlight setting depending on the light around you) you can find it here it saves a lot of battery also NueDynamicClock is a must have if you want longer battery life I hope it helps
I have a similar problem - how do I prevent the backlight timeout from triggering ?
I use g-watch countdowntimer and when using that I wan the backlight to remain on but unless I keep touching the screen the backlight goes off after a few minutes.
Is there a registry key or something I can change to make g-watch an exception ? - I know my TOmTOm works fine
Sorry to clarify, I have found my problem is not backlight related and hence will start new thread.

Way to turn off keyboard lighting

Anyone know of a way to do this? I like to watch movies with the screen in the tilted up position, but the lights are distracting and eat up valuable battery power. Be nice to turn them off when not needed.
there use to be a setting for this in settings>personal>...and either "input" or "buttons"
I know it was taken out in the new rom...cause I can no longer control this.
Anyone know if this can be controlled/modified in the registry?
Edit: It could have been under power options...now that I am a little more awake...but I remember having this option when I had the original rom w/touchflo3D, cause it was one of the main things I would adjust whenever first getting a phone or hard-resetting.

Notification when battery dies

My OG Doid used to play a nice loud notification sound when it turned off due to the battery dying. I can't remember if I set this up somewhere or if it just did this by default, but I really liked it. That way I knew I needed to swap out the battery. My GNex just dies a silent death and I have no idea that I'm missing calls. Does anyone know if there's a way to get the GNex to play a notification sound when it dies? Thanks.
I use the app Light Flow which lets me manage the LED light as well as notifications with sounds, including Low Battery.

It will beep and give you a huge pop up when you are down to 14% and then again at 4 or 5%. I don't know if the LED changes color or flashes, but I'm sure it does.
This is all automatic. No need to set it up.

Thanks for the suggestion. The funny thing is, I already use Light Flow to manage the LED notifications. I just never thought to use it for this. It's not quite the same as having the notification right as the phone is dying, but being able to set it to notify me when the battery is at 1% is close enough.

Thanks. I am all too aware of these earlier notifications, (in fact, if you know a way to turn them off or change the % at which they activate, I would love to do so). I really just need to know when the phone is dying.

[Q] Vibration too noisy. Any way to adjust?

Hello everyone!
I have bought a SWR50 a few days ago to replace a SRW10 that I lost since I thought it would be a nice upgrade.
The most important feature for me is the silent alarms (I get up way much earlier than my partner). But the problem is that the vibration of the alarm is really noisy (you can hear the buzz from far)
Is there a way to reduce the vibration strength?
I have also tried Sleep As Android that vivrates gently a few times before going full strength. But it is so difficult to dismiss that It always goes full speed before I manage to stop it.
Also other tips about alarm apps would be appreciated.
Thanks a lot!

Increase vibration intensity...?

Just wondering if it were possible to adjust vibration intensity when a notification arrives?...anyone?
Sent from my Pixel XL using XDA-Developers mobile app
This should be in Q&A as it's not related to an app, theme or mod.
Also would like to know about this. Vibration seems to be loud, but not easy to feel in my pocket.
I agree, vibration is too soft to rely on in the pocket
Any update on how to improve this? My moto x pure has a great vibration intensity and I'm hesitant to give that up...

Still no luck? I can't feel the thing vibrate at all

You need a kernel with the ability to adjust that.
If u got root, I'm currently on ElementalX kernel and I just adjusted vibrate intensity. Definitely a improvement.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.
But ElementalX only lets you increase vibration for stuff like button presses.
So you're capable of going from stock settings of maybe 50% vibration up to stock system max 100% vibration.
But overall system max vibration remains at 100%.
You can't go higher than that.
So stuff like text message alerts and incoming call alerts will remain at current stock 100% vibration levels.
Count me among those who want more vibration!
...and a brighter LED alert as well.
As a workaround, I use my Textra SMS app's built in ability to change the vibration style.
I set it to multiple long vibrations instead of the stock single vibration.
It does help a little to make it more noticeable when I get a text when the phone is in my pocket.
You are right. Main reason for me to flash El-X was the vibration thingy, but the default vibration is already set at highest, you can't go higher than that. You can, but the haptik feedback one, that's completely an unneeded feature for me. So if anyone is looking for actual device vibration, then no, custom kernel won't allow to increase it, you can decrease it though, not that's the point.
