Has anyone had luck getting spotify to work with a tilt/android? - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III Android Development

I have a tilt incoming and was wondering if anyone has been able to use the spotify android app to save music to play from phone, I am tempted to upgrade to premium but want to be sure works with phone before I do.
Thanks

Works good so far. Even Offline-music. Sometimes forcecloses when switching back from desktop to Spotify, but overall works great.

Thanks for the reply just what was looking for.

Which video calling app do you prefer.?

Ok as the title states, which video calling app do you prefer.? Been using tango and its been reliable, and now I see oovoo, now has support for the gs2 as well, so what are your experiences please.
Been using only Tango and it does its job pretty good. Can't complain, if anyone knows other apps please share the hint
Yes tango for me as well has been amazing, been calling my wife on holiday in Africa and despite the poor network over there it has managed to work, and also now oovoo, seem to support the gs2 so will be putting it through the paces tomorrow when I cal my wife.
I use yahoo messenger. Fring looks pretty good as well with group video chat. Yahoo needs a special application from xda to work

Google Talk Video
is free, and it works like Skype 2
the only information, hard to gather from the use of these apps, is which is more data effeicient, i would put my money on google, being the native app, but its hard to tell, and am really feeling it, more so now that my wife is in a country, were data is very expensive.
Tango is brilliant

Have tried just about everything and every time I keep coming back to Tango.
So the answer is Tango. Reliable and best quality of them all.
skype ftw!! but only on desktop pc. i'll use whichever connects me to my gf, in this order.
Skype > Tango > Fring > gtalk(cuz she have an iphone so this is last)
last time i checked oovoo is not for sgs2 yet so i'm gonna try now.
Skype. Not because it's the best, but because everyone else already has it, and it supports both phone to phone, and phone to PC.
A lot of the other apps look really great, but it's a huge PITA making someone sign up for a service and install even more software just to talk to me.
Just a heads up oovoo, video calling now officially supports the gs2, haven't tried it myself but it looks promising.
tried it with my gf's iphone 4. voice is great but my sgs2 video will hang/stuck while my gf's image is smooth like a soap.
I use fring (it can connect to all my other msgrs except skype). The group video function is also very handy

[Q] [app] App to record streaming audio?

So I'm looking for an app that will record streaming audio I'm playing on my phone, right from my phone. I know there are things out there for PCs that will record whatever is on the sound card, which is awesome, but I'm looking to do it from my phone as well. Anyone know of anything out there like this?

Yeah Tune-In Radio Pro is one of my favorite apps.

But this isn't going to be from radio stations, this will be like podcasts of sorts. Think it'll still work?

So, if I may ask, what are you trying to record? Do you want something that will record regardless of what app you are listening to like Wunderradio, IHeart, etc? If something like that exists, I want it too.

Basically buying talk CDs online and I can stream them right there from the site by hitting the Play button. It will open up a player (I'm doing this from the web, I use Miren browser) and start playing. It's great, so long as I have an active internet connection, but I'm hoping I can have it save the stream as an mp3 file.
I know there are apps for PCs which will record whatever is going through the sound card, which is perfect for this, but I wasn't sure if that is an option with the phone.
If not, no big deal, I can do it on my PC when I get home, but would be nice to be able to do it from either.
Does anyone know where the recorded audio gets stored on the mobile device? I would like to be able access it outside of the app.
Thanks
Most likely in /data/data/appname/

How to enable video calls for Skype?

How in the hell do I enable video calls? I am trying to set up Skype with a KFHD and all is good except my A100 won't do video.
Please help, I will be leaving the family for awhile and would like to get this set up pronto. I have looked all throughout Settings and have seen nothing. It's like the front-facing camera doesn't even exist.
I'm on ICS in the USA. Thanks.

Stock ICS? It works fine in cm10, not that it helps much.

I can't help much, but confirm that Skype video works fine on the stock ICS. Long shot, maybe try uninstalling it and then re-installing it again?

[Q] Play Music All Access not working?

Are there any solutions for the problems the LGOG has with Play Music All Access?
As-is, songs stop playing about 1/2 to 3/4 of the way through, with the error "Music temporarily unavailable. Couldn't play the stream you requested."
This happens regardless of network connection... It was fixed when I tried out CM10, but it had so many other stability problems that it wasn't worth keeping as a daily ROM.
Apparently a lot of LGOG users have this problem, should I just cancel and go with Spotify? I really like All Access, but if there's no solution for the errors I guess there's no option.
I really liked the service, but couldn't stand the errors anymore. I canceled and went with spotify.

The only solution I found was to flash an aosp or aokp rom. Everything else I tried and even stock based roms I errored out.
I was thinking about going back to spotify but I like Google music so much better.

Still broken
Got the new version (v5.2.1224L) this morning. At first I thought it might be working but after a couple of songs, it resumed this annoying behavior.

[Q] Android O as a daily driver?

Is anyone using the early preview build as a daily driver? If so have you found any issues?
I am using it from the last 12 hrs. There are graphic/frame rate issues, app crashes if you switch device theme to "inverted " under display settings. If you keep it back to "Pixel ", things are smooth and fine.
Apple music isnt opening for some reason. No other issues noticed.
I've seen phone call issues. Android pay doesn't work yet. I think it will depend on how reliant you are on the device. It's a fun build though.

I think phone call issues would be a deal breaker for using it as a daily driver. Could you elaborate though on the phone call issues you experienced?

I flashed this on my 5x which is a data only Fi sim so I don't use it for phone or messaging, sorry. However, I did see other posts of people not being able to call or receive. I'll find the posts and link them here in a few. And then there were a few folks that were able to make calls, so I guess ymmv. Just be prepared to flash back if it doesn't work for you. brb

Gmail isn't loading emails for me. It syncs them but when I open them they don't load. Microsoft's Outlook does this too. And searches I type out via Google app never go through.

Not having issues on my end, Gmail worked perfectly before I removed it for inbox.
Searches also work fine on my end.

Gmail, phone calls, messaging, camera..All works perfect for me..As I said, only issue was when I changed the display theme to inverted..In normal settings, all works just fine..
All is working for me as well. It's been about 17 hours without a glitch. I paired my Huawei watch as well. Not using the Pixel launcher as I prefer Nova Launcher with the Dark Pixel icon pack. Using Gmail against MS Exchange server without issue. Mail, calendar and tasks are all operational.
LOL so other than bragging rights to use Android O, what is actually better than in 7.1.1/7.1.2?
Been using it on my pixel XL 128gb with several bugs, however, there is no crash when switching themes from inverted to pixel or vice versa, there is a Hangouts lag, amongst a few other things, I'm gonna keep daily driving On tho, and once root comes out flash substratum transparent theme ftwz, I just wish I could have my viper sound mods back
I am wanting to try the O software on my Pixel xl. Currently on Resurrection Remix ROM with unlocked bootloader. What's the proper way to flash the zip file I downloaded?
Developer option available? If so, is the unlock bootloader available or greyed out? Asking for a friend.

For me it was greyed out and my bootloader is already unlocked.
lots of bugs. calling issues (though I found that to be attributed to the Zedge app). Bluetooth is flaky. Random RAM dumps/reboots. UI froze a few times.
All above mentioned in the release notes, so was to be expected.
Had to take it off for daily use. Did so reluctantly, but I need it to make reliable phone calls, if nothing else.
Really like the direction it is heading however. Will definitely put the next build on and use it, as that is supposed to be the beta milestone.

Bluetooth is flaky when I was on DU ROM it was smooth..UI lag did notice at first but after few reboots & power off have not notice at all, in fact got snappier, phone calls good here.
The direction it's going I like it too, I'm still on it although some issues like game play stiil no go getting FC wifi calling but I activated thru phone app settings all good now
Battery life has been top notch heat stays low snappy Snappy that's one of reasons why still on build
I've been using the DP for the last 12 hours and so far the only problem I have had was some screen flashing when I was setting up Gmail. Other than that calls, messages, YouTube videos, etc. have all worked just fine.
I ran into one issue where the phone seemed to hand for 10-15 seconds but came right back after.
In my opinion, the best new features of O will require the apps to support it (adaptive icons, notification channels, ect.) so betweer 7.1.2 and 8, I can't say today there is something about Android O that I want enough to run a preview build.
does somebody runs into a Problem to not be able to copy files like pics, sounds (mp3) and movies (mp4) back to the phone? i get the phone connected, i can Access the store, but when i start to copy the files, the Connection get lost.. so im not able to copy my data back to the phone.. im not sure, if it's related to the dp1?
Gmail keeps crashing. Also when I am trying to use the app drawer it keeps going blacked out ? It's fun to play with but needs a lot of work.
