i think i might of figured it out nm. well see if this works

Ok so i downloaded the Project Android file. i Downloaded [3/31/10] 2.0.1 Android .cab, [4/26/10] 2.1 AOSP .cab, [4/28/10] 2.1 w/ Sense .cab an i have the Gen Y Dual Boot an the Net Frame 3.5 installed an when i launch the Gen Y Dual Boot it says Android missing. So what do i need to get.?

Your questions would likely be answered quicker if you asked this in the android installation thread. People there are dealing with android specifically.
On a side note. I used the cab to install android on my phone and it was pretty simple. Ran the cab... followed the directions in the first post of the thread we're talking about and it was up and running.
You need to download the installation cab from this thread exactly. Read through... it's all really simple. If you still cant figure it out ask in the thread and someone will help.

Go to AT&T's website, and download the latest ROM for your device, and flash it. Once you've done that, try installing the XDAndroid cab again.

I have been all over AT&T's website and can find no software specific to the Tilt 2 - they always want to redirect me to the HTC website, which only has the latest update available for download. Please advise, Obi Wan.

What's wrong with the software on HTC's website? It should be the same thing.

There's no full ROM on either site - just an update on HTC:

It looks like a ROM update to me. It says "ROM update" and is 266MB.

OK, so that's a full ROM and not just an update? That's my question.

Yes. That is a full ROM update.

First, go into the Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Android Development sub-forum.
Second, read the first thread.
Third, do a search for yourself next time. Was it really so hard to find the forum labeled Touch Pro2 Android Development and click on the first thread?

Stop spamming the thread. I just replied to you. Follow the instructions and do some reading for yourself. No one here is going to spoon feed you. If you show that you're putting in the effort to fix your own problems, then most members of the community will bend over backwards to help you out.

Question about ROM upgrade

Hello everyone -
Newbie here at this stuff, and I was wondering if I can download the Universal ROM AKU3.5 and install it on my Verizon XV6700 phone?
Thanks.
P.S: Universal means it's for everyone? or is it another brand like HTC, Apache, etc.

Universal is a BRAND, just as Apache is a BRAND.
I suggest you read the Apache Wiki
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Apache
Not much info on there right now, but it will get you started. Also, do a forum search for the Apache or the XV6700 to find out if other owners are successfully able to flash to a new ROM and the steps they took to do it.
Good Luck!!
Thanks for the reply, one question though, you mentioned about new ROM for XV6700 over Apache forum, and I'm assuming u mean the Sprint AKU2.2 ROM right? If so I already got it flashed in my Verizon XV6700 and working now. What i'm interested in is the AKU3.x ROM. Is it possible at this moment?
Thanks.
That's a question you'll need to answer yourself from reading the thread that has the ROM you want to flash to. Each ROM has it's own prerequisites for a successful upgrade, so I wouldn't even want to presume to know whether you can or can't.
Here's the link to Molski's AKU3.2 ROM.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=286988
However, it's in the Wizard upgrade section, so you might not be able to use it on your Apache. The only way to know for sure is to read the ENTIRE thread to see if you could use it on your device.
If so, FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS EXACTLY!!
If it's a Verizon phone, it is not GSM based, therefore it is TOTALLY different from the Wizard, and most other HTC devices.
If you can't do it yourself, learn. If you can't learn, wait for someone else to do it, and find out from them.
Now go have fun!

Possible Official ROM Windows Mobile 6?

Hey guys, I ran into this file at one of the sites I frequent. I was told it was the official WM6 ROM. He never specified for what device though. Now I'm pretty new at this so I have no idea how to tell if it is or not, but here's the link:
http://rapidshare.com/files/26245823/WinMobile6.rar
password to unzip file is: 4shar1ng
I performed my 1st upgrade ever last night thanks to the help here. I now have WM6 Black running great on my TyTN. Let me know how that ROM goes. Thanks
DO NOT flash this until the gurus have had a chance to take a look.

oh where's the fun in that? we need another "OMG I DOWNLOADED SOME RANDOM ROM FROM SOMEONE I DON'T KNOW AND MY PHONE EXPLODED!" thread. ;-)
Looks like a HTC Universal rom to me. It also contains the Country_ID_Error folder and the Empty_Extended_Rom folder so it already passed through here at some point ...

Help upgrading to 6.5? T-Mobile Touch Pro2

Hello everyone,
I wasn't sure where to put this.
I recently saw that I could upgrade my T-Mobile Touch Pro2 from WM 6.1 to 6.5.
So I went to the T-Mobile site, and was directed to the T-Mobile download page.
I enter my IMEI number and start the download, but each time it hangs and doesn't download the whole file. I've tried this on 3 different PC's and with different browsers.
Does anyone know where I can download this? Or if there is an easier or more direct way of upgrading?
Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

Yes, orb's guide to flashing ROM's is the best place for someone new here to start learning about that process...there's a ton of great options available for you to look at, all of them an improvement over the stock ROM's in some way (or several, usually).
As far as getting the ROM from T-mo to download for you...there's probably a fairly heavy load on the servers right now (since it was just "officially" released yesterday), you'll probably just need to wait 'till the peak drops off a bit and try again.
In the meantime, give that guide a read, and check out some of your other ROM options here...you may find out you don't even want to bother waiting for the stock one anymore
Awesome, thanks for the replies! I really appreciate it!

First of all, Welcome to XDA I'd be glad to help you with your phone, Im presuming you want to run Android on your TouchPro2. to get the Android Market you must load Android on your phone.
Here is the TouchPro2 forum with information on Android Development, if youre new to flashing phones and the like I can help or maybe your friend that suggested this site can help you. here is a thread with info on it.
If you need any help private message me or reply in this thread.

So i started investigating and found a way to install the 0.87 onilex, then i searched a way to get it o 1.4 or something but i dint found anything useful
After that i tried to install a rom, for that i used the RhodiumWAdvancedRUU, i used task 29 to clear the whole thing but after that i wasnt able to install any rom, it gets stuck on the boot screen
Any advice would be really apreciated

Why do you need that if you are able to install custom ROM's...?
If you can flash ROM's, don't worry about it.

btw i'd place all the links im getting the info from, but i cant post links yet

Do you have a TP2? If so please let us know where you got a working copy of something newer than GB which works.
If not, you are in the wrong place.

um, ya. That is a HD2 phone.
So the question once again is do you have a TP2 phone, because what you linked to will not work on this phone. HD2 ≠ TP2.

Ya. The title "Install Android Ice Cream Sandwich On The HTC HD2 In Minutes" kind of gives that little secret away.
Good luck finding anything newer than GB for the TP2.

I'm going to say something that's likely to land me in the doghouse but every one of these threads are here for a reason; legacy or new. I don't mind folks asking questions and I've sure asked my fair number of them too. I get the tutorials may not be well written and can be somewhat "over your head" in nature but many of you need to take the time and read them. Don't just jump in and fire away asking questions that are available and answered...please do your homework. Many of you expect an automatic quick fix...it simply is not that simple. If you need SPL0.85.OliNex...it's been asked, answered and here. One more thing...take the time to edit your signature or let us know what you have, attempted or for the sake argument what is under the hood of your device...you got to tell us otherwise we don't know. I apologize up front for anybody I've offended but all of you newbies need to be more thorough when posting. You need to begin by telling us which device you're using. SPL2.08 is the HTC HD2. You might be in the wrong thread but it too makes my point; please take the time to read these threads. A lot of folks put a tremendous time into their efforts. We expect all of you to do the same, no shortcuts; take care!
