3G/Wireless connection monitor - Desire General

I searched the forums but couldn't find any information, so i'm asking, is there such an application that monitors the connection you are using and displays info as to what application used what amount of data?
Pretty much something like spb wireless monitor for win.mo . I am using netcounter at the moment but it does not give detailed information about the amount of data used per application.
Thank you.

I used to use 3G Watchdog. Until I got unlimited data plan
It is a nice app (with widgets). It lets you define your monthly quota, monitor it, set some reminders when you reach xx % of your quota.
I'm not sure it can monitor the use of particular apps though. But for overall monitoring it's the best I've found.

I used that also but I was looking for an application that can show usage per application, just for my personal knowledge.

iRail app on Touch HD

Hi all,
My friend has an iPhone with an app called iRail. It looked really cool as i could view train times in realtime (I only saw Liverpool Street Station on London) and thought that was very cool...is their anything like that for the our Touch HD?
(I guess i could bookmark a website that has the large screen train times at Liverpool St..)
Thx...
If you are in the K try these links in opera
http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/times_fares/ldb/?livedepartures.asp
example:
http://www.livedepartureboards.co.uk/ldb/sumdep.aspx?T=LDS&S=KGX
I agree, would be a killer app for commuting. The problem with the website is that this information is of most use when dashing for a train, or near a unfamiliar station.
Just thinking about how to make this happen- needs to be a finger friendly app for ease of use when running up the escalator with bags in the other hand, and needs to bring through all the data including live train status and platform information. Fortunately Network Rail have actually helped us - details on the SOAP API they have into the information can be found here http://www.livedepartureboards.co.uk/ldbws/ . Also getting the app to know your location via cell tower triangulation (as per iPh*ne, not GPS - takes too long) and auto populate with the nearest station would be good.
Sadly I'm not a developer (at least not for the last ten years) but was thinking about dusting of these code writing fingers and having a go.
Would appreciate some guidance from others on what tools/language to use, how to integrate data from the API into an app and how to keep performance good.
Another site of interest, as it tries to integrate all the bus, tube, ferry, road and any other info is transportdirect.info. Only recently discovered this one, but it occurred to me that an app on top of this could in theory give you access to some extremely useful information.

Anyone use ActionComplete? Looking for good task manager/calendar for a STUDENT

Hey guys, just ran across this app in the market. Apparently it's a location based task list. The way I understand it, it uses the GPS to figure out where you are and then when you put in a certain task, you put the address of that task and then it reminds you when you arrive at the destination or something along those lines.
ActionComplete uses WiFi (rather than GPS) for location-based notifications. You are welcome to watch ActionComplete for Android: Setup And Use Location-based Notifications video tutorial at actioncomplete.com/android. There are other video tutorials and resources to help you ramp up with AC for Android as well as AC for Web/AC for Web Pro at actioncomplete.com and actioncomplete.com/web.

I Know that for android are several programs... and for windows mobile??? Already made a fast search on google but nothing....
A little bit late, but.... Merry Xmas to all

I am using the attached application.
Thanks. I was testing the trial version of spb wireless monitor.
I'm going to test now this datacontroller.
Thanks people for the sugestions.
hazhysalon, this app you posted is not what I need. Thanks, but it's not what I'm looking for.
I want a app to control the amount of traffic and not the access to internet.
At the moment, the spb is what is closer from what I want. It's not cheap, but we can not have everything.... Or can we?

@wallytax,
It's called Data monitor. But I don't think that's what JarekG is looking for. He's already got 3G Watchdog to monitor his usage.
@JarekG,
I'm sorry mate. Not sure if there's a program which tells you what you wanted.

Actually I found one Connection Tracker
I'm using the free version and it's nice.
The paid version allow to save to SD
Some tim ago I used an application named "Shark for Root", which allowed me to captures traffic and save it to a file, just the same way Wireshark does on my PC. It's free ,available on the Android Market. There are two editions, you may choose depending on your rom:
https://market.android.com/details?id=lv.n3o.shark

I like this, it's not exactly what I was looking for but I can have some fun with it.
I still don't know what application made the request but I can see something is updating my GPS info (even though my GPS is not on )
I also found a thread in here about that application (but no development for at least a year ) which sucks.

Tracking "exercise" and other activities

Hi all!
I am wondering what the "exercise" tracking option is exactly. I could not find any description for it anywhere. Does it mean weightlifting specifically, as the small logo suggests?
Has anyone found a way to track generic activities that are not specifically available? Such as martial arts, rock climbing or inline skating?
Thanks for the answers!
"Excercise" should be any generic activity where you want to have HR measured in realtime and stats recorded as a workout.
The band is aimed at tracking activities which involve changing your location (walking, running, biking or swimming). It measures distance with GPS and/or steps (based on the activity). It can't measure and show any specific information for "stationary" sports like martial arts or climbing, so you won't find these in the official application. However Notify & Fitness offers many different types of activities, even though it's probably more for statistic purposes than anything else. There might be different calories profiles for each activity, but app or band can't really know how intensive your activity is, so it is mainly a guessing anyway.

Thanks! So the "Exercise" activity is exactly what I'm looking for. Measuring HR and stats for any unspecified workout. Perfect! It would be awesome to have something similar that also includes GPS in the log. To track things outdoors. Maybe with a future update, I submitted a request via the app.
Anyone who would also like this feature feel free to submit a request through the feedback function in the app
Thanks for the tip with N&F too!

Well, for an outdoor activity with GPS you already have "walking" exercise. If you want more categories, N&F is your best friend, additionally to the type of activity you can also define what do you want to measure, if you want special notifications (too high/low HR, moving between HR zones etc.). Definitely worth a try - but with a word of warning - don't get discouraged by quite complex UI, it takes time getting used to it.
