I posted this before but it disapeared after all the threads got moved to off topic today and all recent posts where lost so I assume thats why this thread disappeared too, but if was taken down purposely then sorry for putting it back up anyways, it said this: (or something like that)
I have read a lot of articles and posts on xda and other sites saying it will come to t-mobile also some say that a leaked rom shows that it has been configured for t-mobile's network, so do you think this is true, keep in mind t0mobiel hasnt been getting a lot of wm phones recently
so do you think it will come to T-mobile or not?

U haven't found answers because nobody knows. I don't think it will require data plan because none of their other windows mobile phones require data plan

I think your right, now my next question is do you think it will require a data plan, cause no other phone from wm has ever required one and I think the iphone requred one but then the fuze didnt also, T-mobile emplyes told me that the G1 actually NEEDS a data plan to work right because it has to be linked to your gmal account, if that was their exuse last time then we all no they will be lieing if they say that this time because we all know that wm DOES NOT requrire one, and also, a question I have had for a while is does the 2nd android phone that was released in some othere country need a data plan, and if the os is the same then maybe it really is just the android os

Yes, sir that would be the HTC Maple/Snap. It's actually a nice phone for a smartphone and I'm usually not a big fan. It is also coming to T-Mobile about the same time as the Rhodium.

Don't beleive everything you read on the internet. The HTC Snap is slated for a T-mobile release.

I've seen this working with my own eyes. Don't give up on T-Mobile yet, they're just getting started.
The difference so far has been beyond night and day.
This thing is still very cherry.
I am avoiding adding anything to it right now as I have previously posted that Tilt2 may be a dog.
Kind of thinking I was right.
I will be trying patiently, for a little bit, before I add many programs to it.
The performance within a few minutes of using has been astounding.
Also some interesting, unexpected surprises.
Any and all questions will be accepted.

I'm curious to hear any specifics on how the behavior of the new one is noticibly different than that of the first one you had...I'm particularly looking for connections/exclusions related to hardware and specific issues.
I'm assuming that your replacement came from the same path/source as the original one? What did you tell them to get them to give you a replacement unit? AT&T branded store, or reseller?

Original purchased through WalMart Lets Talk on Black Friday. (free). hmm..
Equipment failed several times variously along voice audio path.
Replacement from ATT Ft. Worth TX
This thing is still very cherry. Only a couple hours usage.
Have only added MyPhone and contacts from MyPhone Backup.
Opera 9.5 experience has been unusual to me in that it recognized my email profile without any input from me other than inserting sim card and opening Opera 9.5 and selecting mail from ATT Yahoo default web page.
All browsing within Yahoo mail has been very quick.
Not my prior experience, which was very slow to refresh/update.

I was just trying to figure out which of the issues you originally had could be attributed to hardware pretty much...but between those, the sound problem you just mentioned, and your considerably improved experience with the new one, it's clear you just had a bum unit all around. Thanks for the feedback though

Meaning that no software other than default is installed.
Default test module or whatever you want to call it.
Out of the box unmodified other to install MyPhone so I could make some calls.

Working very well.
Windows Mobile ATT most recent stock ROM as far as I can tell.

I see there's kind of couple minor/major issues with the phone so my question is very general, are you happy with the phone or you would have rather wait for the official release if you could?

I would be interested in the answers to this too. Stuff like speech-to-text which MAY be included in the unlocked/unbranded version - I would certainly rather have that from the get-go, than have to root my phone to have it.
Having said that, I know I will probably root it anyway when some genius works out how to do it, but it would be nice if I had the CHOICE not to

I read somewhere here (in the forum) that SENSE UI has crashed twice (with that guy since he purchased it)
is the sense UI stable even with lots of widgets running? or there is a little bit of un-stable-ness/lag when alot of widgets are active?
NO problems with this phone at all for me, the text to speech is over rated i have it on the Milestone and it doesn't always get it right and is slow.
I might see if i can put the apk file on this and see if it works will let you know.

Haven't been in a noisy place but the phone is much louder than the G1
Hey guys! Yesterday I ordered a Samsung Galaxy Nexus with a two year contract with Telia (a swedish operator)
I will probably get it by Monday or perhaps Tuesday at most. I am so damn happy!
What should I do when I get it? Root and unlock bootloader? I don't wanna flash ROMs the first thing I do.
I'd say get comfortable with your device and make sure it has no flaws, in case you might need to return it. Then you can root and flash custom roms if you want to.

I've already gotten comfortable with it by reading reviews, watching unboxings and played around with the phone in stores so I probably won't be disappointed with it.
I think it might be delivered with that YAKJUXW build, though, so I'll probably flash Google's factory image of YAKJU. Gonna read up on that once I have the phone.
You won't notice the issues and annoyances until you've had it a while, and even then only if you're as picky as I am lol.
I'd say either leave it stock, locked and unrooted if it works fine for you, and if it doesn't i'd stick AOKP on it as it's brilliant ROM.
Whatever you do, read up. It's easy to root and rom the Galaxy nexus as long as you research what you want to do and how to put it back to normal if you run into issues.

But back to point, you really should give your phone a test run for a week or more to make sure no issues stock. Then unlock and flash til your hearts content. It could save time and headache in the near term.

Unlock bootloader and root as soon as you get it because it wipes your data...enjoy stock for a while wait till you get bored and flash AOKP and Franco kernel...you won't look back

As of right now, the roms for your S3 are not meant to be used on other S3 variants. Bricks might happens or a soft one might happen. Before flashing a Rom make sure you are in the right development section an you read the entire op, twice. Until other devs or experienced users find a way to make them cross compatible, please refrain from using other carriers S3 roms.

I bricked my device
Flashed a wrong Kernel of the other S3 Variant, now I suffer a Black screen of death and cannot access DMode with the 3 button combo.
Can someone tell me if a JIG will get me out of this mess ??? Or do I have to send it in to a JTAG service

I had to replace my device at that point; You're only able to access the Qualcomm download mode right now and unless someone has made a full rip of the AT&T/Rogers/Telus/Bell software using the Qualcomm tools, you're probably SOL. Not to mention that it's apparently very hard to find the Qualcomm download tools.

We get this same thing on the att one X, as they share the s4. The simplest thing over there can get you stuck there. Kind of ridiculous.

It went a little something like this:
Me: I bought this earlier today and while I was setting up my Google account, it froze up and I had to pull the battery to get it unfrozen. Now it won't turn on and I just get a red light when I plug it in.
Sales Rep: Well maybe it's just a bad battery... < Tries another battery > Nope, that's not it....
< I sit in silence trying not to smile about the fact that they're about to replace a device I busted. >

It was actually quite painless lol Don't worry about them noticing you modded it; If all you can get is the Qualcomm download mode, they'll have to do a complete wipe of the phone to get it to boot, they'll never see your attempted mod.
I almost flashed an international ROM!
Maybe if there weren't TWO different forums for the International and US variants it would be easier to see....
I just did a search for Galaxy S III in the forum and first thing was apparently the international version. Just have one GS3 forum and separate sub forums for each variant.

That'll never happen an cause even more problems then you will think. The admins an higher officials know what the are doing, an us mods have prepared for how this is setup. At first it's going to be hell, but it'll be worth it, if people just read what they are doing an where they are.

thats the problem that is rampant in xda....
people need to slow down, stop being so excited and take a minute to actually get their bearings and UNDERSTAND what they are doing.
it seems so many people think this is all just child's play and nothing bad could possibly happen. as we have seen over the years, nothing could be further from the truth.
as android grows in popularity, so does the noobery, even though they are warned, they will still ignore the warnings and rules.
