How to change screen resolution on T5358+ - Upgrading, Modifying and Unlocking

My T5358+ was working fine except for the digitizer. So I order a replacement from China (I'm on Peru, at the other side) but the digitizer was not exactly of the same size.
Device works well but the original digitizer was slightly larger to support the zoom bar (swipe left and right actions). The new one doesn't cover this area.
So when I try to use Windows everything works fine, except I can not touch bottom bar commands because the zoom bar area is apparently "over" the bottom bar. If I use the image viewer I can make zoom dragging over the bottom bar.
If I rotate the screen, the bottom bar works fine because it's moved to another place not below the zoom bar.
So I want to disable the zoom bar to let windows use the entire touch area. I 've spent some hours looking at the registry for some value, but no luck for me.
Thanks for your help.

I don't think that you can change anything in here.
You should get proper touchscreen.

[Idea] Enabling the Zoom Bar on Our HDs

I may have gotten this one wrong, but AFAIK the "buttons" we have below the screen are just a part of the screen's extended touch-sensitive layer. This should also be true for Diamond2's/Touch Pro2's zoom bar. Which brings me to the main question.
Is it possible to simulate the zoom bar of HTC's new PDA generation on the HD's hard buttons area? Can we create such a module/program/whatever that would let us use the zoom bar by swiping a finger on the area below the screen?
Call -> End call
Zoom in
End call -> Call
Zoom out
that sounds quite interesting. maybe theres already something possible with some modification in apps like sensor scroll e.g
Well, this could theoretically replace one of the axes of the missing D-pad (probably the x-axis).
Yes, It's possible.

I'm already start the development and finish about 60% already.
I will upload the zoom bar on hd movie later.

theme help - lockscreen unlock image alignment

hi. hope someone can help me please.
i am working on a theme port and im almost complete except... the unlock image is not correctly aligned wwith the slider on the left side of the screen.
i can visibly see that the unlock image is closer to the left screen edge than the volume icon is to the right edge. both tabs are mirrored correctly. the volume icon sits perfectly over the dimple on the right tab but the unlock is about a quarter of the width of the image out.
i am new to this. i looked through the layout keyguard xml files but didnt see anything that determines how each icon justifies to each side of the screen.
this on a gb rom theme.
can someone please point me in the right direction?
apologies for my grammar and punctuation. i wrote this ug s bluetooth remote
thank you
may i see ur screenshot>
Hi,
This was ages ago. I cheated and made the image bigger

How to change the Display size.

Hello,
I have my Wildfire and the problem is, the portion near the status bar isn't working right. Like the 1cm upper portion seems to useless. I would like to change the resolution and the screen size that would allow me to use the handset and allow the touch possible beyond that area.
I will be changing the touch panel sooner but till then i need to use it the way it is.
I have tried changing with DPI but thats of no use.
Can you guide me, which file should i edit to change the display resolution by cutting down the non-working portion.
Thank You.
I don't think you can do that.
You're best current bet is to install CM7, as it allows you to move the status bar to the bottom.
Or use a separate launcher and set the swipe down gesture to open notification drawer. You can then just swipe your finger downwards anywhere on the screen....

Is it possible to cast/screen mirror only part of the screen?

I have a N7(running marshmallow) setup to do screen mirroring to a TV for displaying documents in a conference room. But the N7's ratio causes wasted TV real estate because of black bars on the sides, nav bar on the bottom and status bar at the top.
In my current solution I've resized the display to 1920x1080 and changed the density so everything looks right. I've also removed the nav bar and am using pie controls. This causes a couple problems though, any action that requires a swipe down/up from the edge of the screen doesn't work(unless you are very precise with where you start your swipe), and some of my users are struggling with pie controls(they'll eventually get used to it, I think). But...
The perfect solution would be if I could have it cast only the 1920x1080 portion of the screen which would eliminate the black bars and most of the nav bar from showing on the tv. Is there anyway to modify the screen area that is being cast?
If not is there at least a fix for the swipe up/down when the display is smaller than the physical screen?

Getting navigation bar to rotate to landscape

Is there any way with OneUI to get the navigation bar (either as buttons or as gestures) to rotate to landscape along with an application?
It makes absolutely NO sense for the navigation buttons to be sitting on the left or right hand edge of the display if an app (like Internet) is rotated to be used landscape. This is a standard feature on pretty much every other Android phone I've ever used, but seems to be specifically prevented on the Note 10+
Well, I get your point, but, I find the nav bar easier to operate on the side rather than in the bottom when in landscape, I tried a workaround with "all in one gestures" app, and I did not like it
