rom order - Desire General

hello all
i need some help... may be some one can help me..
I really love roms like sparta...
But can any one create for me a naked rom...
like no additional apps and with out apps like pipo and facebook,
Stock and others...
if some one can i will write here a list of apps that i do not need...

So you want the Sparta rom, bit without the added apps?
Someone mistake me if I'm wrong, but just take the .apks from the .zip of the rom and you're all good to go.

Sure, you could, but then you'd need to re-sign the update.zip.

and re-signing is my problem.. so... if some one can help.. to just delete some apps from rom - it will be nice...

Thank you very much!
I've rooted, but not installed any custom roms yet, cause i want to be a little bit more sure of what i'm doing before i do that, but i have a question:
Is it safe to remove all these apps from my phone, without it malfunctioning?
This apps is not suitable for other firmwares, is it?
Mod should pin this thread up.

alot of wasted memory on alot of the oem apps and programs
Don't want to flash FB27 kernel.
Will wait till we get repack for FC06.
But it's a good list. Now we won't breack anything trying to figure out what apps can be removed safely.
Thanks a lot.
Thank you! I will be flashing this soon as well.
If I flash the FB27 kernel so I can get CWM, can I then flash your format all, flash FC06 ROM, flash modem FC05, and this Bare ROM Converter all in one session?
Oh very nice! Although, I guess this is an all or none deal eh? In other words, if I want the digital clock for example, I'd have to push it back after flashing. Still a big time saver though. Thanks for doing this Calk.
Edit - Oh nevermind. You can just pull out the updater script, modify it and put it back. Sweet!
Great.. Thanks man..

This is useful, thanks.
Since there are still many more applications that can be removed (depending on the users preferences), can you share any insight on how to determine the impact of removing an application? I mean, trial and error obviously, but are there specific errors to watch for in logcat? Or anything along those lines? My goal would be to remove as much as possible from the ICS builds, but still maintaining essential functionality.
Mr Calk, every day you come up with some so simple and yet so useful lol. Much appreciated! thanks
Calk, would this make a stock room just as bare as your barebones roms? Or more? Or less? Thanks.

Noob alert!
Is there a Windows application that can open this script for modification or will it have to be done in Linux?

Once you extract it from the zip file, you can edit it in Notepad or any other text editor, and then put it back into the zip file.
Awesome.
I see Nova Launcher in here, though. If I'm already running Nova, will it uninstall my launcher?

Download the complete rom then pull it out of the zip in the system/app or some kind person (I don't have it) can post the apk and you can just push it to system/app.

[Q] Deleted stock app.Whoops. Help?

I found a supposed "safe" list of stock apps to delete and foolishly started firing them in the bin only to find that the messaging icon had not only vanished from the home tray but the option to replace it with a new shortcut had too.
I guess one of the apps deleted was responsible for that. Can any of you boffins figure out which i need and where to get it? The dangers of rooting sigh.......
I use handicant messages so perhaps a 3rd party applications could suffice. Next time either make a nandroid backup or use titanium pro.

You would always make a backup before you uninstall lol.
But I'll look through my apps stuff and find something about it.

Thanks for replying but im sorry. Maybe im a noob. I did make a nandroid but a couple of months ago and i wanted my system the way it was the other day. Dont know how to use ftfs or how they would particularly apply here. If i was to extract a copy of the current system id still be missing the messaging app wouldnt i? Is there not simpler apk method maybe or something that doesnt involve code/commands.
Just go on the market and download go sms or handcent

If you don't know where to start, don't bother lol. I looked into it as well. The android kitchen doesn't do anything expect add busybox root deodex and stuff. It doesn't turn you into a dev overnight lol. I just decided to enjoy what other devs have made

Porting a rom is a whole different story than getting an RUU for the evo 4g and starting there.

Google is your friend. There's a lot out there.
I myself developed ROMs for myself. It really depends what you are looking to do. You can always modify a stock ROM or Port another ROM. they all require a lot of work, but they are a lot of flashable tweaks that you can just drop into you ROM and have the experience. You don't have to write your own code. Not too many ROM dev even write codes. They just modify and edit. Good Luck and always try Google.

hey bro you wouldnt happen to have a link to the skyraider rom. been looking for it a while now but links are dead.
U need :
A file zip exe like 7zip or something like that
Notepad
Patients
A base (another rom)
Internet
Hands
HTC evo 4G
Ull need a base like let's just uses cm7 as a example u go to system/apps or app delete apps that u don't want or don't need and add some apps that u like but before deleting apps check here»
http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/Barebones« and check to see which app u could delete or can't delete then ull need to go to here» http://uot.dakra.lt/kitchen/« to customize ur systemUI.apk and ur frameworks.apk then go to ur build.prop and open it using notepad and change stuff like ro.modversion"insert your Rom name" just look around there and change some stuff like names or stuff that was for cm7 to ur new custom made cm7 and once the rom kitchen is done cooking ur framework and system app replace the raw ones with the cook ones and then try using an android emulator to test ur new rom...please check out mine I need to get some likes to post in dev section and my rom is based off cm9 nightlies by Jmz Taylor and its great but please check this thread out comment like do something to monivate me http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1760012

Need the Note 8.0 stock s-note app

Does anyone have an installable APK or flashable zip file for the stock note 8 s-note app?
Alternatively how do I pull if off the stock 4.2.2 ROM myself?
Thanks

I have posted a file for side loading, just search for it in the Q&A threads.
You do not have to flash to make it work.
Your the second one to request such a thing, and makes me wonder why these things are getting deleted when they have no remove feature in settings.
I think people going overboard "debloating" and or freezing/uninstalling to much with TB
Anywho you could try to use 7zip and extract the apk from a flashable Rom
Hoping this helps

Thanks for the responses. This has nothing to do with de-bloat or even missing APKs.
I have been using YKK's 4.3 TW Note 3 ported ROM, and his ROM only has the Note version of s-Notes which does not have speech recognition and formula match in it.
I would like to grab the APK from the stock ROM S-Note and see if I can install and use it with his ROM. That is all.
Gooberdude, Is this the thread you mean?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2685544
If so, is th is the same as S-Note ?
@rezadue Check your PM and let me know if that is what you was after

FYI, the APKs are not enough to make it work on 4.3
It keep crashing on me.
Thanks for the help anyway.

It was worth giving a try, and I guess that's is why I try to stay away from ported Rom's, I never had any luck with them there was always something that wouldn't work quite right.
