Pouch case for the HTC EVO? - EVO 4G Accessories

I love my Nexus One's pouch case that came bundled with the phone. I am not a big fan of adding skins and layers to my phone. I am just looking for a pouch case where it is protected when in my pocket. Anyone know where I can get something like that? It doesn't have to be an official case.

I got a HTC branded pouch case that fit my EVO perfectly from Sprint store. I believe it is 29.99 and if you have premier discount, it is ~$22. I love mine.

Are you looking for a simple form-fitting pleather pouch or something that protects it a bit more perhaps? I can't help you w/the first but I've heard the Lowepro Tasca 20 will fit the EVO, may not be an exact fit but it's made of neoprene and it looks pretty nice if you're gonna toss the phone in a bag at any point...
I've got one I've used for my iPod touch in the past, fits a bit loosely, I can confirm whether it fits the EVO alright tomorrow.

No something simple like you first said. I am okay with a simple pouch to just keep in my pocket. That Lowepro Tasca 20 seems decent. Basically the idea I am looking for.

Yeah, being from neoprene it's gonna be a bit thicker than something made out of a cheaper material but it also protects it a bit more... The top closes w/a simple metal clasp (again, that might add a bit more bulk than something w/o a clasp), I'll let ya know tomorrow how tight it is around the EVO. I hope UPS drops my EVO early!

Got a picture of this or a link?

I didn't see any pouches whatsoever at my store... Just hard cases and silicon skins, haven't seen it online either, I'd be interested in pics of it as well.

Should be this one (can't post link yet):

Stopped by my Sprint store yesterday and they were sold out. Sales guy actually told me they'll likely get new Evo's in before they get more of these leather cases in stock.

FYI I bought a leather case from verizon for the Droid, it fits the Evo 4g in nicely. But it's for coneecting to your belt. Maybe some Droid stuff will fit the Evo in?
try this maybe?

This is the HTC leather case w/belt clip from Sprint. Specifically for the EVO, I have it and it fits like a glove.

I just got it today. It's nice and snug. I like it.

Any other pouch suggestions? Or "socks" - my wife is in need of something for when she throws her Evo in her bag... The old ipod sock-type cases would be perfect..

I'm looking for a belt clip holster for my Captivate. I want one that holds the phone horizontally, and something with a magnetic flap. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I found one at Best Buy that fit with the soft Body Glove case on. I think the name was Rhino-case or something like that. I'm probably going to keep looking, the belt clip on this one isn't all that great.
I saw one like your talking about on one of the forums. It was an OEM holster that had a metal tag on it that said "Galaxy S". I haven't been able to find that holster for sale OR find the originally forum article where I saw it
This is what I ordered yesterday off Amazon. Just got shipped, so I haven't personally examined it, but it fits the description of what you need.

Rajendra, I bought something similar off ebay a while back for my last phone, and the leather around the belt clip started ripping after 2-3 months of use. I'd really like something that's going to last at least a year or two, if not longer.

It looks very wide to me - for a thicker phone. Much like a lot of the universal cases.
I have the body glove case from AT&T and with that, it fits pretty nicely into the spring loaded holster case for the Droid X from Verizon! Lol
I'll put up some pics if anyone's interested or whenever I get the chance

If you could post pics it would be nice.
Best case, IMHO, is the Case Logic ITEM # CLP403SPH.
Simple clean lines, fits like a glove, black leather with contrast tan stitching and suede tan inner lining.
I search for several days and found this case at Target for $20.

Here's a little video... Sorry I was too lazy to find my camera so the closest thing was an Ipod Nano lol
One thing that does worry me about this is that the screen has to face out so it can be pretty nerve racking if you bump into things a lot...
You can make the screen face in, but it won't fit if you have a case on. It also doesn't feel so secure.
One of the main reasons I like this though is that I can keep it secured, out of my pocket, and I can still leave my earphones on it listening to music! (I messed up quite a few earphones jamming my devices into my pocket with them plugged in)

Hm.. Seams like we can make car mount with this combo as hxxp://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?p=16992427&postcount=2
I just had to see if I liked the holster you were talking about so went to the store and asked for it. It was in the back and when he came out had a different one. I like it better and the face is in.
All it says is " shell/holster combo". of course I only used the holster.
29.99 cost. Works right though with the body glove on. Solid too.

I got this delivered from Amazon today. Seems very well made for the price, and fits the naked Captivate perfectly. Unfortunately it is way too tight with the body glove on, so it's either one or the other.
Oh nice! I really like the spring loaded feature on mine, but I think it's more important to cover the face! Lol.
Can you still plug in earphones with it clipped on the case? Is it also really easy to put on and remove?

yes it is. I wonder if just the belt clip is available separately? Don't really need the cover. Might be cheaper. Like me.
I moved from a Tilt2. I have been using a Palm Treo case since my old Tilt. While looking for a case, I used the Treo case with the Body Glove cover. I was planning to use it until I found a better fitting case. It was too tight a fit to use.
In the past couple of days, the case has been forming it to the phone and now it fits perfectly. I buy these things a couple at a time so when they wear out, I have another. It looks like I'll be using this case until I cannot find it anymore.
Here's links to 2 Droid X cases at Verizon.

Holster Clip for the Aria

Does anyone know of a holster clip for the HTC Aria? I was selling a Blackberry Curve 8530 with a clip that has the front of the phone facing the clip, which ended up looking really cool, and I'd like one for the Aria. I've checked around places, and I have found no holster clips at all that aren't really just pouch cases.
Been looking for one myself for a while and finally came across this one:
http://www.wirelessemporium.com/p-56311-premium-force-holster-w-sleep-mode-function-for-htc-aria.asp
Ordered, but haven't received it yet so I can't comment on quality...
The best holster I've found is one for a "classic" ipod. Do a little cutting to open the area up for the screen. It's cheap and easy. I can use the phone either in the case, or slide it out..

Looks to be the same as one I picked up @ wirelessground.com/htc-aria-accessories.html They actually have quite a few products for the aria.
Don't know anything about them as I just ordered the holster last night.
update on the holster - although not as nice as the seidio holsters I've used with my other phones, this one does the job nicely.
Thanks for the uodate. Can you leave it face-in with this holster, and if so how easily does the Aria eject from the clip? Alternatively, can you leave it face-out and answer calls without removing it at all?
Does not fit face-out.
Face in, it's a nice tight fit. Almost too tight.
Works well once you get used to it...
So ordered sat received Friday. Seems to be a nice holster. Fit is tight, felt is a nice touch, and it has a nice low profile.
For $12 I'm certainly not going to complain, and have no problem recommending it for those looking for a holster.

Unfortunately, this clip broke last week as I was scraping ice off of my car Windows, looks like its time to look for a more sturdy one.
cheap plastic, heck all rigid plastic does not handle freezing temperatures very well.

Leather Case that fits Evo w/ Extended Battery

I want to get a leather holster case for my Evo. I have the Sprint 2600mah extended battery, so it's of course extra thick. I compared it with a friend's Epic 4G and it seems to be similar in size (just a hair thicker). I was thinking about getting the Sprint leather Pouch for the Epic (http://www.amazon.com/Sprint-Samsung-Epic-Leather-Pouch/dp/B0041NF3PO), but wanted to know if anyone has tried it out or has a better suggestion? All I'm worried about is that it's good quality, good looking case and that my Evo will fit into.
Thanks!
Just go to your local mall and buy one from one of the booths. Just try em all till you find one that fits.

That's what I've been looking to do. I haven't tried the case at a local Sprint store/booth, but plan to try it out next time I'm near one. The problem is that there's only a few cases available at local stores, but online has a much wider variety to choose from. I was hoping there might be something maybe better looking and at a better price. Example: The case I linked in the original post was $15 on Amazon, but if I went to a local store to pick it up I'd pay $35.

Hey not sure where you live but in my area I have gone to Walgreens and they have a big bucket of cell phone cases which are 2 for $10. They are leather and I have like 4 different ones for my EVO. They also have a swivel belt clip
Well if you're feeling crafty and industrious you could always grab some supplies from your local leathercraft store and make one. I carried every phone I've owned up to and including my Touch Pro in a holster I made. To see what I mean you can visit THIS POST in Android Forums.
I really have no excuse for not making a case for my Hero and Evo too. To be a Pete who's frank, I think Sloth has something to do with it. I started using the Seidio Innocase and Clip Holster and found 'em satisfactory enough, but I do miss the protection and good looks of good old-fashion cowhide.
Ok, that does it! Where are my tools and hide?

That is the most beautiful case I've ever seen! I wish I was that skilled/talented to make something like that for my Evo. I LOVE the look of that case. Are you for hire?
I got this case from an amazon reseller. Fits well with this battery and it's really cheap. I'm going to buy a few more as backups.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0041MVHRS/ref=mp_s_a_4?qid=1291732802&sr=8-4
Used my old no-namer from ebay that had for old ipone. works perfectly even with extended battery thanks to its expandible sides. Its an upright case with leather/metal clip. Cant stand sideways cases and despise plastic clips..just my opinion.
I can confirm the HTC EVO w/ the Sprint Extended battery fits PERFECTLY with the side leather case pouch that Verizon sells for the Droid X I got it from my local verizon store for 24.99. Case is well built, looks great. Only downside is that it says "Verizonwireless" on the case

Anyone else getting an otterbox case for this phone!!!??

I just pre ordered my atrix 4g , and my otterbox case! I'm jizzing my pants! I can't wait to get this thing ! I hope it holds its own for at least a year!
when i get the phone, assuming i like it, i will be getting prob the mid OB case
Hate cases. I like my devices to stay thin.
I'll be getting a ghost armor kit when it comes out, and using that. I have one on my current HTC Aria, and have dropped the phone a bunch of times, no damage. Might consider doing the battery cover in 3M Di-Noc carbon fiber vinyl so the back actually has the CF look all the way to the edges.
I was going to get a OB defender but since I ordered the multimedia dock I don't want a case that is hard to take off.

I'll be getting the Defender one. I currently have the Defender for my 3GS and I love it!
Was thinking about the commuter, but will wait a while to see if I even need one. Was about 6 months before I put one on my nexus one.
I hate otterbox, they are the only company that can be twice as big and twice as much weight as the phone and still sell.

I really like Defender case with a clip. But can someone tell me how much "thickness" it adds?
Got mine but can't say I like it very much...don't know something about them just turns me off..but i got my phone yesterday and didn't want to mess it up or anything so I went down to my local att store and bought the first thing. Picked up my Atrix today and got the OB Defender with it. I like the heft and protection of it, honestly. The only thing I wish is that the screen protector that is part of the polycarbonate shell wasn't so prone to grease marks. Looks like crap and I've had it less than 8 hours.

I agree. I've always made fun of my co workers with their iPhones in an Otterbox, but after trying the defender on mine I bought it. It is bulkier, but not too bad. Not looking to use docks or anything so that works out.

Siedio Active case

Hey guys i just got this case in the mail today. Its called the Seidio Active, it is half silicon and half hard plastic the hard plastic has a nice rubberized grip to it. It feels like a nice strong case, but i haven't gotten to test it out yet,and dont plan on anytime soon! Its doesn't make the phone too bulky it says its only 2.2mm thick with the case on.
Its a little pricey at $30 but you might be able to find it some where cheaper. http://www.seidioonline.com/samsung-epic-4g-touch-s/6971.htm
Some attached photos to see what it looks like
seems like it's a good case and does provide some protection against drops. Might get it if I can't find a cheaper case like this.
I use this case and its excellent ibe dropped my phone a couple of times and its done well I just wish it was available in different colors and I got it for around 15$ on amazon however I don't know if its still on sale for that price

I got my Seidio Active yesterday and love the case. It's light but still tough enough to protect the phone in case of a drop. It raises the camera and screen off whatever surface you lay it on and also covers volume/power buttons. Would highly recommend!
+1; I owned an HTC Inspire 4G before I left AT&T for Sprint, and I had a Casemate Tough Case on that, which I loved. Since Casemate didn't make that case for the Nexus S 4G, I settled on the Seidio, and fell in love with it. Now I have one on my Epic 4G Touch, and I couldn't be happier. I was worried about my phone not fitting in the universal adjustable dash mount I have, but it fits even with the case.

I ordered Mine after I ordered My E4GT, Got My case in the mail 2 days after I got the phone, Love how it Protects my phone and actually doesn't add too much bulk plus it adds grip so the phones not slipping every which way. It was either this or the Surface, which I have had a bad experience with when I had my EVO 4G, lets just say I'm glad that the silicon won't scratch the phones case unlike the hard shell of the surface.
Loving it
I've always loved Seidio's stuff! I got an Active case and holster for my dad for an HTC that he's got, and finally tracked down one on eBay for $30 (used/unused - accidental purchase by original owner) for my Sammy. Just got it today, and while it seems like the rubber part might attract a little lint, I think I'm going to be very happy with my purchase.
