hello i have this problem with my music player were the song plays half way through and then just stops playing and i have to restart the whole song, i found this to be not a ROM issue so can anyone help me please thanks

It's almost impossible to help you unless you post some useful information as in what kind of phone, what rom, what version of manila, etc. etc. Is it always the same song/s? What version of the music player is it? How did you come to the conclusion that it is not the ROM??

Vlingo does that for the inbuilt player doesn't it? Maybe it only starts playback, not sure...
Yes you can open your music player with Vlingo... but you cannot say for example: next song, louder...
This is actually something, that I was looking for myself. On the market I found a music player, that should be capable of this, but couldn't get it work.
I really need only something, that switches to the next song when I'm in the bath and shout : "NEEEEEXT". Maybe the already running music could give some problems to recognise your voice...

Ok this been a problem for me for a bit. When I play music from slacker, tune-in radio, and a local fm radio station app the music plays no problem when the screen is on and in the app. but once I leave to app to go to the home screen to do something else the music doesn't play in the background, or if I try to turn off the screen to save battery while listening it stops playing. But this doesn't happen when i use Pandora, or HTC music player or mixzing music player. With these they work the right way? Is their some kind of fix or work around? I tried uninstalling, and updating these apps with no luck. Back in the wm6 days they had a keep music playing fix to download and install, to keep music playing weather the screen is on or off. any ideas, fixes, or things I should try would be greatly appreciated. Please help. Thxs happy New year.

I'm on stock rom JB 4.2.1 and since yesterday everytime I'm listening to music it stops randomly.
Sometimes the lockscreen widget starts blinking and music stops...
Anyone of you guys has had the same problem?

Do you have any another music player on your nexus? Another music player may cause crashing issues..
Wipe stock music player Data and cache.
I use cyanogenmod9 music player which causes issues on stock music player like not showing songs information and album art.

I don't hve any other player installed i already wiped everything, I even did a hard reset... and nothing, music keeps stoping randomly

This doesn't happen when using deezer or tune in radio... so, I don't think it's the headset

I've been using n7100 for almost 7 month now it's a really nice phone with cool functions but i have a problem !! :
sometimes the music player stops responding after i lock the phone! the volume controls don't respond and i cant unlock the screen until i disconnect the earphones or wait ... for the music player to function again any one have the same problem or know how to fix it ??
by the way i'm using the stock 4.1.2!! i tried to use Play music instead but i have the same problem :crying:
Did you try another Music player like Poweramp? Do you have the same problem when you are listening to streaming music for example?

I just flashed android revolution and the elemental kernel in pursuit of battery life, but I'm having a very strange problem playing music now. randomly, my music later goes silent. it will still appear add though it's playing music, still show on the status bar and everything, but no noise. at first I thought it was just rocket media player, that's been my go to music player lately. but I tried downloading shuttle and using that, only to find I started having the same problem with that! I honestly am at a complete loss and don't have any idea what the problem is. I would greatly appreciate any help, thanks in advance!
