i was looking on ebay, and someone is selling somefirmware which is cooked up on here by the look of the pics ....the link (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/T-Mobile-Dash...hash=item280245658129&_trksid=p3286.m63.l1177). i know these guys work hard making these for nothing but someone is selling them.

hahahah. yea that looks like rickwyatts.....guess its ok if rickwyatt and kavana are cool with it...even if they arent, i dont think they have any sort of recourse beings that this isnt an official release and what not. but that is shady

He is hawking Kavana ROM as his own, he even uses kavana's pictures with his email address/profile.

God that is shady but where anyone can make a couple of squid they will and as gixxum quoted it's not an official release and i'm damn sure that Kavana has not got copyright of the rom in question, lets just hope that the seller has a freak accident of nature?

It's a disgrace that someone can make money for something that is readily available "Free" and not credit & royalty Kavana.
Wow, I can't believe people are doing this. But there is nothing we can do about it I figured because the Rom is not copyrighted material; therefore, anyone can sell it unless Kavana copy rights, which I believe can not be done since its a "cooked" rom rather then an official rom.

He gets enough and maybe he'll take it down. Also, I told him I was going to contact every bidder to let them know where to get it for free.

Oh sounds good, I will do the same thing as well... I am going to let everyone know that they could download it from our website... It seems as if people are getting ripped off by buying a free program... Kavana and Ricky put together this for us for free therefore it should be this way... No one should try to sell it... If anyone has the right to sell the program it would be Ricky and Kavana.

I suggest in your future ROM put comments in the home.xml files' header.
It's a DISGRACE for people to make money out of somebody else's sweat. I know how difficult and time consuming it is to make ROMs.
selling someone elses work is just wrong...

I got mine from Negri. Not the cheapest place. But they were in stock (they have live webchat support on their site, and he was able to check it realtime), and it shipped about 2 hours later.
