The 2000 mAh OEM sized Andida ebay Battery for the Hero works - EVO 4G Accessories

Pulled it out of my hero and works great in my EVO.
Better battery life and no issues so far. Any reason I shouldn't be doing this?
Has been working greta in my Hero since December.

Apparently that batter doesn't come in at 2000
more like 1150.

why not just buy 3 batteries on ebay for 25 bucks total
Because who wants to run around with three batteries in their pockets?

nah that's just doing to much ill rather spend the extra money on a battery that's going to give me a few hours different from the stock battery

I wouldn't buy from those manufacturers if I were you. Check out batteryboss.org. Some guy evaluated those battery capacity claims and a lot of them are flat out lies.
I have been a Seidio customer for years and have always being very pleased with their extended battery solutions for all my devices. My experience is that they did extend the battery life of my devices significantly. Without a reputable protocol and some raw data I will trust my previous experience over "some guys" who did "some tests".

few weeks ago i got a battery from ebay for $10 from the hero forums, its marketed as the touch pro 2 battery, just threw it in today and it fits fine. 2000mAh too.

Sorry to tell you this, but...
http://batteryboss.org/ These guys are testing a variety of aftermarket batteries for their true capacities, and the one you purchased is included n their test. They only got 1100 mAh out of the actual battery, under the name TP2 Andida, new in their chart.
Good thing you only spent ten bucks, though.
No kidding, the TP2 battery fits? That's the EXACT same battery the hero uses!!
Luckily, I bought two of them, and just got a TP2 as my work phone. That means I suppose, that I have four batteries
btw, those batteries probably aren't 2000mA, but they're nearly as good if not a little better than stock, and for ten bucks each, not too bad.
EDIT - Duh, I see you said you got it from the Hero forums.
Seidio hasn't released their 3500 mAh extended battery for the Evo yet. I'm patiently waiting, as I bought that battery for my hero. I went from charging every day, to every other day.

I like what they did with the rear door. I hope they bring out a hard-case to also work with this battery. To keep it then, they could just cut out the back of the case in the middle where the battery extrudes. The rear cover will provide significant protection anyways.
the seidio batteries are awesome but they are worthless if you dont have the extended case that goes with it.. id just wait for the 3500mah for the evo instead of the one for the eris cause your gonna have the case problem
I wish they would add two more mm to the battery and do 4500mah because at that point the little bit of bulk added doesn't really matter.
/b
i wonder how hot that 3500 will get, i'd rather the 1750 and not change the dynamics of the back case.
apparently only a couple of the batteries on batteryboss come close to their rated mah, i wonder what the evo 1500mah will come in as....
what is the biggest mAh you can buy without changing the back cover? I like my EVO thin.
I believe the highest mah you can get while keeping the evo slim is the 1750 by Seidio. But for 40+ dollars I dont think an extra 250 is worth it
I just wish they would make the battery 1-1.5mm thicker and add whatever they can to that... Then we wouldn't have to change the back.
*Here's where I am horrified to find out I am the only one who's battery cover doesn't really fit on the phone*

Id just wait for the charging case thats comming out.
I wonder if the 2150mah OEM for the TP2 will fit into the evo, and I wonder how much the case will have to be extended. It is the only battery that tests at 100%.
Will the 1350 battery for the Eris work on the evo? I know the capacity is smaller, but will it fit and work?

Battery Choices

So, I have been looking all over the various stores (Sprint, Radio Shack, Ebay, Seidio), I bought a standard battery (the same mAh as my stock battery). The battery I purchased has about the same batter life (as expected about 6-9 hours depending upon usage of games and data) Looking over the extended life battery options I dont quite understand the claims.
http://www.seidioonline.com/product-p/bacy35hev4-bk.htm
This is a 3500mAh battery and has "double the capacity of the original battery"
http://www.seidioonline.com/product-p/basi17hev4.htm
This is a 1750mAh battery, it's not listed the capacity.. but my stock battery is 1500mAh so it cannot be by much.
http://cgi.ebay.com/3500mAh-Extende...Accessories&hash=item483d837c7f#ht_4076wt_905
This is a 3500mAh battery, it comes with a battery cover I would imagine that it's similar to the Seidio battery as far as in the capacity
has anyone tried the extended batteries off of ebay, do they work well.. and do the battery covers hold up well?
Any suggestions of extending battery life? I keep my wifi turned off, dimmed my screen, and a few other things.
Right now I am thinking of just getting a battery charger and just swapping between the two batteries.. it would just be a hassle taking my case and battery cover on and off every day.
check out http://batteryboss.org/ first to see where those batteries really stand.
there is also an 1800 mah at http://www.htcexpress.com/ that was supposedly tested to be 1700 mah.
that woud make it the best battery around, but i bought one and it seemed worse than the stock battery.
sprint also now has a 2600 mah with extended back. i don't know if anyone has tested it yet.
i purchased the ebay 3500mah with cover and also the OEM HTC extended battery for the TP2
HTC model no. RHOD170
. works great and according to battery boss it is the best extended battery ratings wise.
i got the battery for OEM HTC extended battery for18 bucks on ebay. so you have have two batteries and a better looking cover for half the price of the seidio battery.
however, i cant seem to get the battery status to show up correctly on the oem battery display but it does show up on "battery status" app

Batteryboss.org was a lot of help! honestly i think the best bet for me would be the cheap one from ebay that i mentioned.. the bad news is that it doesnt seem that they have tested it yet... so I think ill keep my eye open and wait on it
Extended battery for the EVO on eBay 3000 mah
This is a way better buy. The battery life rocks. The door is rubberized and a really nice feel/texture. Moretalktime has 100% feedback and has them in stock in USA.

[Q] Extended Battery 1500mAh for the DHD

Ok so there's a few threads about the 1500mAh for a few other devices and I saw a 1600mAh mugen battery for the DHD however it's been discontinued for some reason. Faulty?
A few websites later I came across this:
http://www.blueunplugged.com/Extended-Battery-1500mah-HTC-DesireHD.aspx
Has anyone tried it? Any noticable difference?
I would bet my life on that being utterly useless. 1500mAH for under a tenner? I expect a stock battery would out last that by a long time.
I have 2 of these batteries. They are not 1500mah. They do seem to perform as well as the factory battery though. Get a couple of them and a charger off ebay and then you can enjoy the security of having a spare battery on hand.
Sent from my performance enhanced Desire HD.
Yeah at the very least I hoped it would be enough as a spare. Already ordered one.

Armani Battery in the Captivate

There is a thread in the i9000 forum about the Armani battery being 1650mAh instead of the 1500mAh like the stock cappy battery. Has anyone used one? Did it make a difference?
Just shy of 10% more isn't too much of a big deal but that could translate to an extra hour of life for someone that gets ok battery life as it is.
I haven't heard much about that one but I've been running the 1800mAh stock size battery from eBay and have had some good results.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=10397925&postcount=64
Also I hear there is a 1900mAh battery out now on eBay but I have not seen any reviews of it.

[Q] Extended battery with the same size?

Is there an extended battery out there which has the same size as the Samsung 1530mAh battery or maybe bigger but would still fit in the phone without the need of a bigger cover?
Yes. There is a 1600 and a 1650mah ones floating around but they tend to be expensive. Wait for the release of the Vibrant 4G or the Galaxy S Giorgio Armani. They both have 1650mah batteries that are identical in size to ours. And they will be straight from Samsung so they are genuine. Get those in half a month or so.
In fact, here:

It sucks. A guy over at the Captivate forums tests batteries. He found this 1800mah to really be 1270mah...less than our stock batteries even. He tested several just to be sure. Same result.
Interesting... I've been using this battery for about 20 hours and it's @ 47%. It seems to be about the same as stock. It did come in a nice tin case
EDIT:
Do you mean this thread? It looks like it's still non-conclusive...
