Cases - HTC Aria Accessories

Anyone know if there are any available cases? I think I'd really need one

I was going to grab an invisible shield myself, I've had cases for phones before but I find the HTC Aria is definitely pocket size.

got one
i got a soft gel case from att today when i picked up the phone, however there were no screen protectors available at the store... pity she has such a nice screen...

I grabbed a set of generic screen protectors from the Rat Shack today. I used a hole punch to make a hole for the optical trackpad, and then carefully trimmed the sheet to size. The standard single hole punch is exactly the right size for the trackpad.

any idea of the brand on that gel case. there wasn't any at my store
amzer has a bunch of cases being released 7/13 according to their site

I didn't pickup a case from the AT&T for the outrages price they want for it. In fact, I don't think this phone needs a case since the back is virtually indestructible. However, I need a screen cover fast.

The gel case is decent, but I'm not sure it need it since the only part of the phone it covers is the soft touch part. The AT&T stores got screen protectors, but the package doesn't say Aria on it. It says HTC (model# I can't remember). The only carried protectors for the Fuze, Tilt 2 and the Pure so the other HTC one should be it. It's a 3 pack for $9.99.

The AT&T store I went to had cases and protectors. Case was expensive and didn't look necessary, the back cover feels very solid.
The Screen protectors are labeled as "Compatible with HTC A6366," product code 888063373688

i like the gel type cases(as long as they aren't too thick) for some shock absorption

case and screen protection
ok so it was a branded att case, no specific maker of the case, i did some research and it seems the Aria is basically a droided HD mini with a trackpad, so the measurements are the same as the mini, Zagg makes a full kit with screen and back protection, use a hole punch for the track pad and all is well, i will be getting my kit within a week or so i will keep you guys updated...

I almost forgot it's pretty much the same casing as the HD MINI! I just ordered a nice cheapie case on ebay! lol
I'd post the link, but I'm not allowed to yet as a new user =P

wish HTC or other company make some nice case for it.

ok so i have to retract part of my previous statement, the case is actually made by htc, i didn't notice the imprint at the bottom, so HTC does make a case for it, probably the same as the mini's.

I did exactly the same thing 3 days ago.
To make it easier i placed the screen protector on the phone so it overhung the entire thing, then flipped it over and trimmed the excess off with a razor blade. Finished it off by cutting out the protector that was covering the speaker.

PDAir has some decent looking cases for the HD Mini that I think would work GREAT for the Aria:
http://www.pdair.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=10100000_900000_11000908
I'm especially a fan of THIS one:
http://www.pdair.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=10100000_900000_11000908&products_id=28681
Of course, if you're not a cheap bastard like me, and prefer rich, European styling, THESE are some incredibly sweet cases:
http://www.pielframa.com/htc-touch-hd-mini-cases.htm
Regards,
Corporate Dog
EDIT: Oh. I also found this cheapie, which strikes me as somewhat similar to the PDAir case I highlighted above:
http://www.netimes.com/shop/flip-case-with-belt-clip-for-htc-hd-mini-htc-photon-p-2672.html
I think this is the case I'll probably be getting, but my IDEAL case would be a rubberized/silicone/plastic, form-fitting shell, with a detachable belt clip on the back. I know the shell cases are a dime-a-dozen, but I have yet to find one with a belt clip. Anyone know of any?

Thanks for the info on that, but my back cover (the top left corner) is loose for some reason, so I'm afraid it'll come off soon. I also realized that the back is the antenna for the phone (two pins in the case that connect to the phone, and no signal when back is off). So, I think I'll get a screen protector and a cheap gel case. Thanks all.

Hi there! This is a fun thread. Don't have to think TOO hard!
If anyone has actually bought and is delighted with a case please let me know!
I am really looking for a black rubberized (non-skip) case that goes all the way around the back, up the sides.
I wish there was like silicon case, but actually out of thicker, less flexy rubber.

Kit is up on Zagg's site.
Just ordered one. May opt for a gel case for the back end instead of the full kit...when they're available. All I'm seeing are "Available 7/27" or "Ships in 1-3 months" or something every time I try to order an actual case. I guess I'm stuck waiting?

according to the amzer site http://www.amzer.com/HTC/HTC-Aria-accessories.htm the jelly silicone cases are available now. i wonder if they show the screws like the argyle ones do.

Case Recommendations

Hi,
What case do people recommend to keep their Orbit safe? I'm stuck between the Krussell (which I have protected phones with before) , a silicon case (ebay item number 160068404562) or PDA Leather Flip Case (ebay 160068463414).
I'm tempted for the silicon as you still have easy access to the screen , but welcome any other ideas.

Before reading your question, I was not aware of the existance of a silicon case for this model. Now I've looked it up at Ebay and am also interested. A couple of months ago I bought a silicon case for my mp3 player (different brand though, ZCover) and am very pleased with it. So far however, the seller seems only to ship within the UK. I have just asked him by email if he is able to ship abroad, no answer yet.
Update: he does sell abroad. Apparently he has more than one item on Ebay, all about this case but with different shipping methods. Anyway, I just ordered a black silicon case, due to arrive later this week. I will let you know.
hi
i have the PDAIR flip case and am very pleased with it. i prefer it to a silicon type as it gives the screen more protection.
I agree that a flip case does give more protection, especially to the screen, but isn't it annoying when actually making a call? I presume you don't take the phone out of the case before calling. To me it looks rather silly. NOFI.
Have a look for the aluminium (on ebay, under artemis/p3300) case for the artemis as I have just ordered one and hope it is a good fit for the orbit?
Not massively protective but the slipcase supplied with the 8oGB ipod is a perfect fit. I'm using it just now to avoid scratches until i find a good screen protector and silicon case.

has your aluminiun case arrived, How much extra bulk does it add, as I'm thinking of getting one. I already have a black silicone case which is very good, and a very tight snug fit, but no protection for the screen. If the aluminium one is not to big, then I would sell my silicone case.
Yes my aluminium case came through the same day as my last post and it does not add much bulk to the device. The only issue I have had with it is the stylus is covered slightly so to remove it you have to open the case and slide the phone up slightly. Apart from that great case would recommend highly to all those in need of a case. My case came in a Pdair box so I assume it is made by them?
I also have the leather PDAIR flip case and my only criticism is that it extends a little to much toward the sides of the base of the screen so that I must angle the stylus a bit at the edges.

I just had a look at the aluminium cases sold on Ebay but they don't seem to have protection for the screen as well? How is that different then?
Just like you, I ordered a silicon case last week and it arrived a couple of days later. I'm pleased with it, pretty tight fit, better grip, no chance anymore of scratching the camera lens when the phone is on it's back, and all the required openings are exactly on the right spot. Indeed, the only thing left is the absence of protection for the screen, but I don't carry the phone in a pocket together with keys or coins.
The aluminium case has a plastic screen in it to protect the orbit. You have to open the front cover to use the touch screen.
All of which is not a problem as I would advise anyone with a phone of this quality to purchase a screen protector ASAP.
I didn't use my orbit till my protector came through the post.
Hi All
I spoke to the lady in the O2 shop in Swindon about cases, she said that O2 will be releasing some Orbit specific ones in the next couple of weeks.
I have my fingers crossed.

The slightly scratched, fingerprint smeared and dusty state of my just-over-a-week-old Orbit screen would probably give you a heart attack then! Screen protectors don't come cheap, £10 for little sheets of sticky plastic... selotape is under £1 a roll! I'll just use some of that!
Has anyone on their internet travels come across a vertical leather pouch/holster for the Artemis that has a belt clip?
Something like this:
http://www.mobilecityonline.com/wireless/store/productdetail.asp?productid=21740
Just want something that can be attached to a belt and the Artemis slid into and out of - not for use in the actual case.
Must be vertical and minimal size (ie designed for the Artemis and no larger).
Krusell Vertica with Multidapt® - S-Wide
Selotape aside I'll almost certainly be going for http://www.pielframa.net/pielframa_productos.asp?id=1685 (mentioned on the other case thread) if I ever bother getting a case... can't beat something made-to-measure!
Just got myself a Piel Farama in black for my Jasjam. Looks very good and high quality but certainly requires getting a bit used to as each time you have to open the flap and fold it all the way back to get a hold of the device to take or make a call.
regards
Thanks Moleshome - that is exactly what I am looking for except my only concern (as with all "multi" cases) is that it will not fit it nicely and/or be the smallest possible case for the dimensions of the p3300. I can't think it fits all of the listed "compatible" models perfectly and I don't know if the Artemis would be in that category.
Anyone bought this particular case? Experiences?
Got my Piel Frama case today - it fits the Orbit well despite being designed for the P3300 (sharper corners).
Overall a beautifully crafted case which I will probably return as it won't let me store a credit card in the flap. My last case for the XDA Mini was a Krusell - hope they bring out an Orbit sepcific case soon....

No good for spontanous gprs internet shopping on the go then?
I dropped an email to see if I could get one for review, fingers crossed otherwise I'll have to fork over some mulah or see what my birthday holds. (I've been a games/tech journalist for a while, which is nice)
Would be interesting to get a comparison of the Krusell and Piel cases, and maybe something a bit more on the minimalistic size. I'll see what I can do, but neither are contacts I've dealt with before.

Sprint's BodyGlove looks promising...

Check out the review with some Q&A here...

As for this vs the Siedio case, I'm thinking this one is a bit thinner and would fit in my pocket easier.

It's 29.99 - and will be available at Sprint stores upon launch. You might be able to grab one now depending on how charismatic you are...
As for online, the online sprint store may be selling them - not sure, you'd have to check on the 4th.
Nice I like the look of that case and I just orderd the ghost armor case as you get the whole body armor for 14.99, the bodyglove might be better but I might use both, and then be covered for everything...
im usually not a fan of these type cases but i think ill grab it for the honeymoon period also
Will never get another body glove again. Their tabs break off all the time. Went through two of them in a month for my TP2.
damm i checked the sprint accessory online store and its not available yet i guess but ill b heading to the store to c if they got any before launch.so far got screen protector for the SUPERSONIC.
I've been searching online for the past couple of days for a case for my Evo. I really want this body glove case. I am going to stop by my Corporate Sprint Store tomorrow on my way to work to see if they have any and if they would let me buy one. I called them earlier last week about another matter and the store associate started talking about the Evo. When I told him I would have mine this past Friday he was shocked and wanted to see it. So maybe...and I mean maybe if I go up there show them my Evo and everything they may be nice and let me get one of the cases. Plus I have a Sprint Premier Account, so we'll see.

YES! I've had the exact same results with the Samsung moment case, the front panel is held on by 4 small plastic tabs.
These tabs easily break off just by taking the case on and off. I replaced my case twice after giving up completely and going naked. I'll never buy Body Glove again.
I would be very careful with the Body Glove or Seidio cases. I bought the Seidio Innocase II and put it on my iPhone 3GS on day one. When I got it ready for sale a few days ago, I removed the case to find some scratches on the chrome bezel. The felt on the rear protected the back just fine. If they lined the entire case with it, then it would be good. The bezel on the Evo appears to be shiny plastic, so I would expect it to scratch even easier than the metal iPhone bezel.
I've tried other cases...

I have tried other cases, they are of the cheaper rubber cases that have this interlocking mechanism on top and bottom that were okay, the fit wasn't good but the cases were good. The unfortunate thing is that comparing a TP2 case with the Evo case is apples and oranges.
That IS until I saw that the Evo case is also a 2-piece snap on. If there is no sliding keyboard why then is it a two piece snap on and not a once piece hard case? The tabs break, pure and simple. If the reset button is under the back cover, every time you take off the back bodyglove cover, you risk breaking the tabs holding the case in place.
When I say I have gone through two bodyglove cases, I wasn't kidding. The thing looks good, until the case parts start randomly popping off because the tabs have broken off. Not really a protector then, is it?

Hmm, well thanks a lot guys, I've definitely changed my mind on this case. I'll probably go naked until Otterbox comes out with a case (in which case the honeymoon phase will be over, and I'll be more worried about long-term protection).

Give the Sprint Silicone Case a try. I got it and love it. It's nice and cheap especially with a 25% premier customer discount. It covers everything, slips on easy and comes off easy, good fit, and it actually makes the power button easier to hit and feel.
http://shop.sprint.com/NASApp/onlin...=Carry+&+Protect&selectedAccessoryID=CZH1980R
Its pretty nice. I have it and its decently built. Only structural issue I see is by the volume keys. But otherwise seems quite solid.
I like the look of the case, very cyber, but if it splits the longest way around the edge& is only held together with little tabs, I'd look elsewhere. On a one-piece phone with no moving parts there is no sense in it. I'm looking at the Seidio since it has the smallest seam, it goes around the middle, and is made to be held in holster. I don't like shoving phones in my pocket any way and especially not this giant thing. Second choice might be the Sprint one with multi colors or the silicone one.
I love my Evo body glove
I bought My body glove from the Dover, NH Sprint store from wireless link. The thing is amazing picked it up for $20 (special discount)
When I bought my evo, they had that body glove case at the store for $20. I got it, and I like it. It almost has an "iron man" type of look to it. The thing I liked about it was that it was thick enough to protect the camera, meaning when you laid it down, the camera didnt touch anything.
It is a pain in the butt to take off though. It has the back piece and then a really cheap-feeling front piece, and they clip together around the phone. Its hard to un-clip them at that point. I've already bent the hell out of the side of the front piece, but it still looks alright.
Regardless of that, I'd say its worth getting.
i have it like above mentioned feels cheap when taking on or off but when on its great protects camera lense i have no complaints so far i might be grabbing one of those 3500mah batteries so ill probably have to change sooner or later

Platinum Series Case for HTC EVO 4G from Best Buy - $30

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Platinu...199186619&skuId=9943616&st=evo case&cp=1&lp=1
That is the case I got from Best Buy today. I compared it to the silicone one they had for $21 but I ended up with this one because it seems more durable and if you lay the phone on the screen the case lifts the screen off the surface its laying on to help protect the screen as well.
I think $32 out the door was a little pricey, but to protect my new phone it is definitely worth it.
They were sold out by the time I got there. I really wanted the one with the clip. Can't find them now. They are made by Seido from what I am hearing which they sell for $49.99 so it's a pretty good deal and solid imo.
can we get some pics? the product wasn't displayed good on there site
it's a great case. The insides are felt lined & padded. Also I had no problem slipping it in w/ the invisashield. The back of the case goes slightly past the camera lens so the phone isn't laying on it. Then there is a very small lip on the front to keep the screen from resting on a surface. A pretty solid case to use for now until more people start manufacturing for in. Hopefully serpent cases make something for this

its literally the same as the seido case that someone else posted a topic about. look at that topic and thres pictures and in the general section someone posted a video review of the seido case.
the best buy platinum case is just a re-branded seido case.
I had purchased it because a sales rep told me it was a part of the $30 bundle with the car charger and invisible shield. At the register it turns out that the rep gave me the wrong case and I bought it anyways. Early today I got my max coverage Invisible Shield installed and returned that case along with the Shield they had sold me.
The case is decent looking, definitely much better than most of the cases out now. I hope this phone gets the kind of variety in accessories that the iPhone does.

There are two different Platinum Series case designs for the EVO @ Best Buy sold 3 different ways. The have the Seidio style horizontal split by itself, Seidio style with holster, and one styled like the Bodyglove case (vertical split). I picked up the Bodyglove style case - it's "rubberized" all the way around and felt lined inside.

bsim85 posted a tiny pic, but here are some large ones:
It's OK. I've still got the original "screen protector" on my phone because I haven't tried it at work (I'm not going to open the Invisible Shield or 16GB memory card I bought until I verify the phone works everywhere I need it to, but the case comes in a resealable package so no worries there).
The back of the case is hard and has felt lining inside. The front part of the case (it splits around the edge of the device like the Body Glove) is more rubbery. It comes apart the same was as the Body Glove, with a coin in a corner slot. The camera lens is recessed a couple of millimeters from the edge of the case. When on it's back the case rests not on the overall rubberized surface but on the smooth edges of the case around the camera opening and the bottom ports so it could still slide around in your car this way. Will I keep it long term? Probably not. Will it suffice until something better comes along? Yes.
EDIT...
I should note that the case doesn't look as blue-grey in real life as it does in the pictures.
I bought the case at Best Buy and it's great. Radioshack had Zaggs for $15 plus the 20% off accessories if you got it in the morning. I got the case at Best Buy and it's excellent. A bit pricey, but one of the better cases I've seen. Plus the silicon cases sometimes get caught up in your pocket and harder to pull out.

Is this A EVO case?
cause it seems to have more cut outs in the side pic than the EVO has buttons on the side.
yeah, i went to BB on friday and there was a sign showing that the Platinum case, the invisashield screen protector, and a rocket dog car charger were on sale all together for $45.
the case is overall is very nice, i like how the screen is recessed and how the case does not get stuck in your pocket like a silicone case does.
i think it was a good deal for the money, seeing as how i needed car charger because the hero uses a mini usb port.

I bought one from BB (with holster for $34.99 (giftcard)), and it def doesn't look like that. Mine's a much more rubbery look / feel. It's black. The cut-out's on yours seem much more prominent and I don't have one on the lower right side (why is one even there? just the phone volume on the upper part of the right side...).

I got slider case instead of the snap case. Reason being if you drop your phone on a corner, the slider case isn't going to split open like an egg leaving the yolk (EVO) splattered on the ground.

I dont know what Seidio is trying to pull but on the inside of the fake phone cutout (on the Platinum) it clearly states Seidio, Inc, Houston Texas.
Plus, I ordered a Innocase II and compared the two side by side. They are identical. Save you cash and buy the Platinum.

As I stated previously there are (2) different case designs from Best Buy - one like the Seidio Innocase and one like the Body Glove. The one I pictured is indeed for the EVO (it came with a "fake" cardboard EVO inserted in it). The "extra" port cutout you're seeing is how you take it off the phone - you insert a coin and twist it to pop the two halves apart (JUST like the Body Glove case).

[Q] did anyone try those cheap silicone cases from ebay?

for example:

I've ordered the 2nd and didn't get it yet but I'm afraid it will be crappy
I ordered one similar and tbh took it off after a day it made the phone look so ugly i have found some more exp ones for £15 which look good but tbh im sticking with my screen protector and thats it .
Yes, first one.
Fits perfect, its durable.
I always make sure i get the gel case not the silicone ones as they really attract the dirt/dust , and some say they have a special coating , "YEAH RIGHT"

The textured sides give very nice grip. The description says silicon/gel, but I'm told by someone on this forum it's actually TPU. I can tell you it's nice and firm and feels very protective. Bought mine from a shop called chitterchatter for £5, where I also got my phone from too. Case is even cheaper on ebay. Here's pics I took of mine. Screen protector needs redoing, too many bubbles, lol.

I originally bought one of those silicone ones in the first post, it was quite loose on my phone and the surface kind of stuck to my jeans pocket making it annoying to take out, so I then bought one of the gel/tpu cases that looks identical to the one in the post above, which does a sterling job.

+1
I bought this from ebay for £2.90 and am very pleased with it, collects a bit of dust at the bottom but a lift and gentle blow gets rid of that. Feels grippy and adds a nice bit of bulk to the phone aswell.
About six weeks ago, I bought 4 TPU cases very similar to those mentioned in the OP, for US $8.00. Fortuitously, they arrived on the same day I took delivery on the SGS2. They fit pretty well, although the long sides are a little loose, but not enough to be a danger of slipping off. On my case, the power & volume switches are covered by the case, which has button skins stamped into it. The back is textured with a diamond pattern, and the sides look slick but do have some grip.
Like most cases, it has the top right corner cut out to accommodate the antenna on the Korean version of the SGS2. The first few days I had the case, I noticed it attracted quite a bit of dust, but that appears to have subsided in the last few weeks. Overall, it's much better than I'd have expected a $2 case to be; I'd bought 4 figuring they'd be so crappy that only one of them would fit well, or they'd fail in short order and I'd have to upgrade to a CaseMate, PDAir, or Krusell.

I picked up one like that from Amazon. I sent it back today. It did not fit well and I hated that it would not slide in and out of my pocket easily. It also attracted lint from my pocket.
I prefer a hard case.
I have my eyes on a SGP Silke case.

Just ordered the above case, initially had the same type from the same seller for my Atrix and it was a really good case.... Lets hope this is just as good
Yea, i bought 2. But you need them TPU one's and not those gel covers. Mine fits pretty wel and worth the 2 bucks.
I bought one S line TPU case, but I find it prety hard to press the buttons. overall it's a really nice case fits perfectly (hard to take off )
i decided to buy this aluminium one :

It is really nice! although the silicone part attracts some dust, but not much, the mic holes are not perf cut, but no problems during calls etc.

[Q] Barely There-type case for the Samsung Captivate

So it looks like Case-Mate does not make a Barely There type case for the Samsung Captivate. Are there any other good similar options out there?
incipio feather is similar...but its less flexible
For a truly "barely-there" experience, I've just installed a screen protector. Voila!
I used to use what noma_pride mentioned above and was quite happy until recently. The full body skins tend to peel up from the edges and eventually dull overtime requiring replacements which can become quite annoying.
IMO I found no case/skins best. I found these jackets made from microsuede from sfbags.com and they are awesome! Check them out http://www.sfbags.com/products/cellphonecases/cell-phone-cases.php

Picked that up for my wife. She loves it. Thanks.
I personally like the flexible cases that body glove makes. The AT&T store sells this one, but I would not recommend getting it from them. Much cheaper through ebay. I had a hard case that snapped on, but found it covered up the sides and bottom too much. It affected dragging apps from main screen to other screens because you couldn't get your finger far enough to the side for the screens to scroll. Also I purchased a spare battery with battery charger and it was a pain to unsnap the case and swap batteries when I needed to. I have dropped mine with the body glove and phone still looked perfect. I am sure a hard enough drop would still be able to damage it though. The only thing about the body gloves that I think suck is only comes in black or pink.
I have a silicon case I bought in the mall (don't recommend that but I needed one as the lady one broke), and it's awesome. It's a harder silicon that still moved, and grips the phone like a condom. Our was made by an off brand, but I'm sure you can find it easily in any mall or online shop
sent from something somewhere
I think TPU cases are the best. They aren't "barely there" cases but the closest providing all the proctection you need. Price is a plus too. Try searching tpu in ebay
